So how do you mean by turning to the internatioanl NS scene, do you think having a weekly update from the world of NS be a good thing (I just thought of that), how will you turn the region less of an isolation |

Thank you for some good questions. By becoming more engaged in inter regional politics I mean taking more of an active role. A very good example being the Statement we recently made. I also believe that being able to have active alliances, rather than the dead ones (caused by the extreme neutralism we have persued) will do that. By being involved in the interactions between other significant regions Q102 will itself become more significant and so more attractive to to nations looking for a region. We have built a good reputation in the wider world and I think now is a good time to capitalise on that and have our voice heard more regularly and on a wider stage. The updates are indeed an excellent idea. It was one the Council had begun to put together just before the lull in activity as we started to ask ambassadors to report back on significant events in the regions they visited. If re elected we will seek to complete this process so that we can have a regular foreign ministry report to Parliament. We will also locate good sources of information and provide prominant links form the forum to them so that interested nations can find out for themselves the major events and issues in the world. |

was it not my right honourable opponent that we should be very neutral with your promotion of the Free Port Act and its importance, to quote my right honourable Why should the people believe you if you flip flop on this issue! |

I did indeed say that and I believe that at that time and in those circumstances it was absolutely the right thing for the region. However the world changes. "Flip flop" is a disingenuous accusation that is intended to detract from the lack of an effective counter argument. Which is better: a leader who blindly sticks to a policy that is no longer relevant for no good reason other than what their opponent might say; or a leader who is able to recognise when a policy has run it's course and needs to be changed to fit the ever changing world? I think the answer is self evident. |

If only every political debate were as thorough snd honest as that! I'd like to ask what you see the future of Q102 to be, as a region and as part of the NS world? |

You were talking about Ministers earlier. What exactly does a Minister do? |

A Minister is an assistant or Deputy to a Councillor. They help them run their department and participate in the Council Chamber to run the region. Each Councillor may appoint one Minister, subject to the agreement of the rest of the Councillors. While the Ministers have a voice in Council the final decision on any matter remains with the Councillors alone. I hope that makes sense :) |

Thank you for your comments :) As for your question: I think the future is very hard to predict. The best I can do is say what I think the next three months could hold as that is a single term and so the natural rhythm of our region. If the PPP is elected I think the near future could be a very exciting time. As our region opens up to the wider world we might see an influx of new nations or at least better results from recruitment. I think we would also see Q102 becoming more involved with other regions and hopefully the signing of at least one major treaty to help us move on to the next level in our foreign policy. I would expect to see new faces come into the Government as we will try to use the under utilised position of Minister to bring more voices into the Council Chamber as well as a campaign to fill the embassies once more. I would also hope to see results from the expanded RMB Brigade in terms of new threads, new members and new ideas on the forums. The PPP is not simply promising more of the same. The PPP is about constantly evaluating and fine tuning policy. It is about managed evolution of the region so that we have a secure and prosperous future. |

Thank you for that question
:) As already stated, these include: Sports (already begun). More active foreign policy so there is more to do for those who like that. Enlarging the role of the RMB Brigade to cover forum activities and ideas. And most importantly reacting quickly to requests from citizens as you yourself have found out with the sports :). |

The treaty signing sounds exciting, and a bit different. I'm intrigued, and I look forward to the possibility. |
