Update of 1st November :

- Several issues have arose during the last two weeks. The first one is about a Code of Conduct published by the Administrators without the consent of the Assembly. The second one is about a possible amendment to separate the Court from the Assembly. These two issues has all degenerated in direct confrontations between supporters of each party and brought on the table issues of "old politic", at the great despair of some. However, concerning the first issue, we are on the road to an acceptable compromise.

- The Committee of Justice is working on further Court Procedure reforms.

- Several members of the ASE has been accepted as citizens of the Coalition. Southern Tasmania has complain about this, explaining that these people only have the interest of their home region at heart. The said nations refute that.

- The Coalition has officially recognized the regime of the PRP as the legitimate governing body of The Pacific. Here is the statement release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs :
Quote:

Since the coup lead by Francos Spain at the end of the Summer of 2003, the regime ruling over The Pacific has been under frequent attack from various foreign regions. It has been described as an undemocratic entity, the rule of a minority, unconcerned with the will of its people.

The Proletariat Coalition has followed an official policy of non-recognition, whereas some of its members were engaged in more vocal action against the regimes of the New Pacific Order and The People’s Republic of Pacific, whose members and officials have often clashed and fought with members of The Proletariat Coalition and it's allies.

Times have changed and the PRP's stature on the world stage has grown to be respected. The internal support for PRP has also grown. It is foolish to speak of "natives" in a feeder region (according to NationStates rules), but it is now obvious that “natives” from the Pacific accept the regime.

The Proletariat Coalition has always valued democracy and today the PRP is not a democracy by it's own admission. However, in recent months, in the eyes of The Proletariat Coalition and many of it's allies, it has evolved in the right direction and shown positive signs of good-will. The PRP has maintained stability and sovereignty for the region and on particular occasion it has been shown that popular will can be more powerful than the Senate.

According to these observations and after a month-long debate and a previous attempt to engage in diplomatic relations, The Proletariat Coalition has now decided to recognize the PRP as the legitimate government of The Pacific.

In light of this introspection and various events such as the conference chaired by The Commander of the Red Liberty Armed Forces - The People's Assembly of The Proletariat Coalition has directed that this route to be the only reasonable option, expressing it's hope that the PRP will in the long-term continue it's liberal reforms.

It is our intention to consolidate and develop diplomatic relations with The People's Republic of The Pacific and make positive efforts to develop it as required by the new age and in line with the common interests of the two peoples.

On behalf of The People's Assembly of The Proletariat Coalition,
Star City

- TPC now hosts embassy of Hyrule and is continuing to work to improve its diplomatic net.

- The Coalition is preparing to officially re-open its embassy in The North Pacific, after it has been closed during the vast re-organization of the region. It's interesting to note that some members of the Coalition are complaining of TNP's bureaucracy.

Update of 10th November :

- Many subjects are currently discussed in the Assembly. During the WPD crisis, we discussed what to do but we didn't have time to come to a decision as the crisis ended. Hot issues from the last update are being settled. An updated Code of Conduct shall soon be put to vote.

- TPC is reviewing its alliance with North Pacific after the Nick incident. Many TPC:ers does not accept the fact that he's able to stay in NP's government even after the acknowledge he was an invader and threatened the RLA. A consensus would probably be reached upon a downgrading of the alliance.

- Danitoria and EuroSoviets were confirmed as voting members after Southern Tasmania motioned an overrule vote.

- TPDF's name is definitely an hard issue. After it came back once more under lights, some members of the Assembly accused The Red Factions to have illegally removed proposed names that he judged not serious enough. A provisional ruling made in Court Case opened by Southern Tasmania confirmed that. It should be noted that ST also opened a vote that also didn't include all the proposed options. A new vote will probably be organized soon enough.

- Committees are very active. The Committee of Justice released a draft of the Court Procedure amendment and continues to discuss the worth of an amendment upon Court's powers. The Committee of Activity is currently building a mentor program to help newcomers get integrated.

- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released a draft treaty of alliance with Genosha. Positive outcomes have came from TPC but we are still waiting Genosha's opinions.

Thank you. Can I ask, what is the TPDF's name issue exactly?

Some of our members, including the MoMA, believe that The Proletariat Defense Forces is not a cool enough name. We are trying to agree on a new name, but for a long time we didn't succeeded.

Actually we had a first vote many months ago and we voted to keep the current name. But TRF is not satisfied with it and wish to bring it to a more marxist name, such a The People's Army.

Update of 20th November :

- The electoral season has begun in the Coalition, changing Assembly's priorities. Even if it's a little early, most of ministerial candidates have posted a manifesto. It should be noted that there is an high amount of former USK:ers running for these elections. Two candidates are running for the highest executive position, the delegacy. They are myself and Dobbyniania.

- The Assembly has approved a modification of the TPC-North Pacific alliance that make Nick a persona non grata with TPC's affairs.

- Another citizen of the ASE, Xhadam, as been granted citizenship in the Coalition. That time, no-one dare to oppose it.

- Committees are continue to managing their own area of expertise, the Committee of Foreign Affairs is for example preparing a team of six diplomats that will be sent to the Pacific to enter in negotiations with the PRP. The Committee of Justice is continuing its work on legislations and procedures.

Update of 12th December :

The humble ambassador that write this update for you is sorry not to have posted anything in a little less than a month. All my time has been consumed by various events, including Delegacy elections.

- The first half of the electoral season is now finished, with Dobbyniania the new Delegate of The Coalition. He won against myself by 16 votes versus 12. As he's now beginning his endorsements campaign, ministerial elections have started with two of them that are nothing more than mere confirmation votes.

- Dobbyniania has started to apply his views in his new job, proposing a reform of Global Moderator status. (It is currently granted life-time to Delegates)

- The Red Factions has resigned from his ministerial office and is not running in the current elections. This happened following the world crisis triggered by his actions in The Invaders' forums.

- Various legal issues has been discussed in the Assembly and in the Committee of Justice. A code of conduct has been defeated in a close discussed vote, a justice act that introduce judicial accountability has been passed and another vote to disband the Court, motioned in protestation by some of our members that believe the Court is now useless, has been defeated.

- Southern Tasmania has proposed a serial of legislation that are highly discussed, and that focus on limiting TPC's involvements in aggressive activities.

- TPDF will stay the name of our forces, at least for some time. The last round of TPDF's Referendum ended on a tie cautioned by our Delegate to maintain the status-quo.

- TPC and Genosha are now treated allies, as the Silver Pact has been ratified by both region.

- The Diplomatic corp is currently working in Futaba Aoi on a cooperation treaty. Also, discussions with The Pacific are at a dead point following the Invaders crisis. It is hoped that Pacificans will be satisfied with investigations followed in the RLA, and will not judge our whole region on the actions of a few citizens.
