Update on State Affairs of The Proletariat Coalition – 14th of September 2005. Delegate: Paranoidm Ministerial Council: The Red Factions, Ketoprofen, Dobbyniania, Soviet Sexy Girls, Universal Acceptance. Population: 236 Forums/Voice of The Proletariat: http://nationstatestpc.proboards21.com Internal Affairs 1. The People’s High Court authorised by unanimous decision a minor amendment to fix an error in Article 44 in The Constitution of The Proletariat Coalition referring to our legislative arm as The “Supreme People’s Assembly” as opposed to “People’s Assembly”. 2. The People’s Assembly amended article 28 of the constitution to clarify the composition of The Ministerial Council. It now reads: “The Ministerial Council consists of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Military Affairs, Justice, Recruitment and Activity, and Citizen Information. The ministers shall serve a term of three (3) months. Upon expiration of this term, new elections shall be held.” 3. Elections to The Ministerial Council and Delegacy of The Proletariat Coalition were held. Paranoidm was elected delegate and The Red Factions, Universal Acceptance, Ketoprofen, Dobbyniania and Soviet Sexy Girls were voted in. Read all about our latest elections at The Voice of the Proletariat: http://nationstatestpc.proboards21.com./in...ead=1126685750¨ 4. As reported by our diplomats in our embassies around the world – USK recently emigrated en masse to The Proletariat Coalition bringing with them a lot of capable, trustworthy and dedicated comrades. Emergency laws and amendments were passed, empowering us to grant them citizenship without having to wait for the usual 2 weeks. This amendment also clarified the procedures for dual citizens who wish to apply for citizenship in The Proletariat Coalition but who would at the same time like to retain their UN nation elsewhere. 5. The ongoing Secret Archives case – where The Ministerial Council is suing in court to open up The Secret Archives to themselves – is coming to a conclusion. Judge Mathom has posted his final ruling – recognising the right of the People’s Assembly to rule on this matter as opposed to the Court. We are waiting for the rulings of the other Judges. 6. As Paranoidm and Soviet Sexy Girls were both elected to executive positions – they will be resigning from the Court shortly. The Ministerial Council has nominated 5 potential candidates from which the People’s Assembly will choose 2 to fill the vacated seats. 7. At the suggestion of Louis IX, we’re discussing wether to review/clarify the procedures ( and amend Article 43 ) to be used during formal procedures in the People’s High Court. 8. Blackbird has suggested that The People’s Assembly adopt a declassification act who will regulate the procedures to be used when declassifying certain threads from The Ministerial Council. We are still debating the issue in The People’s Assembly. 9. Elections to the Ministerial Committees are to be held very soon in the Assembly. 10. The Committee of Citizen Information is organising a project to build up our website. 5 nations volunteered and we are expected to start soon. 11. A new skin and a skin selector has been added to the forums! Check it out! Foreign Affairs The People’s Assembly has/is: 1. Discussed the merits of joining the Coalition of Free States. It was turned down. 2. Received an invitation to join a summit hosted by the Alliance of Socialist States. 3. Ratified a protection treaty with Northern Ireland 4. Discussing the merits of an eventual treaty relationship with Ireland who are interested in keeping their good ties with the former USK members. Many TPC : ers are somewhat guarded towards this idea given their membership in the UoS. A thread has been opened on this subject in the People’s Assembly ( in addition to the preliminary discussions in the Irish embassy ) and all our allies would be welcome to weigh in. 5. Sent diplomats to the newest RLA members – Marxist Leninist Party – to secure a working relationship on all fields. The Committee of Foreign Affairs is: 1. Overseeing the transfer of the USK diplomatic network to The Proletariat Coalition. 2. Discussing the merits of sending down a representative to the “ambassador conference” hosted by the region Q102. Military Affairs 1. The RLAF and TPDF were deployed in Anarchism – who are members of the RLA – and successfully defended it from an invasions launched by The Jolly Roger. The TPDF have also been deployed in: 1. USSR Empire 2. Socialism 3. Linux 4. Palestine 3. The Committee of Military Affairs is discussing the possibility of renaming the TPDF to something more “fitting”. 4. Louis IX is likely to be appointed as Deputy Minister of Military Affairs. 5. Discussions on how to best use the USK assets in the forces are held in the Committee of Military Affairs. A recruitment drive for the forces is expected within 7 days. 6. EuroSoviets, Commander of the Red Liberty Armed Forces, has been spearheading a conference proposal aimed at establishing certain conditions under which certain defender armies might be willing to cooperate with each others and the RLA. The possibility of having TNP but also PRP forces cooperate strictly military-wise with RLA forces on certain missions has been raised and is being discussed. - End of Update - |

The merger is going pretty well. Under my direction most of former USK's embassies in regions where TPC didn't had one are now running as TPC's one. We decided not to take over the one in The Pacific, since our government do not recognize the PRP as a legitimate government. And we are still discussing on it but it's probable that we'll not take over the ones in The East Pacific and The South Pacific... Our new citizen have already done some interesting contributions as stated in RF's report, and some are making big efforts to trying to improve our boards since we'll not move to invision... ^_^ |

Update of October 8th : - TPC has ratified a treaty of Mutual Assistance with Ireland called the Green Pact. - After the resignation of Mathom from his seat in the High Court, another session of election have begun to fill the emply seat on the Bench. Results should be known pretty soon. - The issue of the Secret Archive has finally reached an end. After weeks of debates and arguments and two Court cases a motion ordering the destruction of these archives have passed in the Assembly. Popular votes resulted in a tie (8 to 8), what enabled the Delegate to vote a second time according to the Constitution. ParanoidM gave her second vote for the motion. The Archives have been deleted thereafter. It is hoped by many TPC:ers that the destruction of these files will allow the region to be once more fully united. - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has initiated a debate on what position TPC should take on diplomatic relations with The Pacific. More people are tending toward recognition of the PRP as the legitimate regime of The Pacific. Nothing has been officialy deciced yet however. - A recent proposal to create a sub-forum restriced to french language has been welcomed only raising a few concerns. - Discussions on three-months plans are continuing in various Ministerial Committees. The Committee of Military Affairs is the most advanced one on that issue. - The Assembly is discussing an amendment concerning procedures in case of Ministerial Resignation. - The region Alliance of Socialist States has approched TPC and proposed an alliance. This offer has lead to the opening of strong arguments between some members of the Coalition and the Ambassador from the AoSS. The AoSS is known to be the home (or former home) to several anti-RLA radicalist and some have interpred their offer of alliance as a try to divise the RLA. An article of the Voice of the Proletariat details the situation very well. You can find it here. - An embassy for the Principalty of Prachya as been opened on our boards. - The Council of Knowledge in its debate section is very active. People are debating various subjects including the abolution of familly under a communist system, marijuana or the banning of cars. |

Update of 19th October : - The Assembly has passed several legislations, notably The Ministerial Council Declassification Act and The Forum Act. These acts legislate a periodic declassification of the Ministerial Council's chamber, who is closed to public, and the policy on privacy and confidentially of materials posted on the boards. - Following the resignation of Universal Acceptance an election has been organized to appoint an Interim Minister of Justice. Revolutionary Masses won by a large majority, despite withdrawing from the race just before the beginning of the vote. He will take the position, and has promised to inspire of his opponent's program. His opponent was Southern Tasmania, an old member of the Coalition, acknowledged as one of the most potent jurist in the Coalition and creator of the first Constitution. - "Foreign" Languages boards have been created and know, for the moment, a certain success. They are mostly used for debates and questions on grammar or vocabulary in the particular language. Concerning the French Forum for example, we are engaged on a debate concerning politic in France and particularly the Parti Socialiste. Some debate on the DDR have started in the German Forum. - Debates on the use of our armed forces in offensive operations had also arose. The general consensus is that our forces are not to be used to attack any region in retaliation to its imperialistic policies. - The nation of The All Knowing Moose has been sued for breach of Treason legislation after its attempts to gather endorsements endangering the security of the region. That case has highlighted some flaws of the legislation that would have to be overcome in the following weeks. - Several Embassies has been opened on TPC's boards including the ones of Genosha and Peaceian. - Two interesting articles of the VOTP : http://nationstatestpc.proboards21.com/ind...read=1129369546 http://nationstatestpc.proboards21.com/ind...read=1128871790 |
