You'll run into it most anywhere there, but it is the official first lanquage in Quebec. So I understand at least.

Yeah, we officially have 2 national languages: English and French. French classes are mandatory in most provinces and territories in elementary and middle school. After that, most people drop it. I took French to Grade 12, but that was 8 years ago. Now I know almost no French. Mind you, I live a long, long way from Quebec!

My Spanish is still quite good, Latin, eh, haven't tried it since my freshman year of college, and my Russian was good enough to get me around Moscow 4 years ago...

My fanatical pursuit of the English language has left little room in my head for any other. Curses. I MUST learn another language. I was actually thinking latin, since that would assist my studies in English...

french would help too though! 90,000 french words in English! hehe

i only know french and english, a small bit of russian, italian, and welsh. not really very helpful....

Latin is good for showing off... and whenever you see a Italian newspaper you will think "gosh their latin is even worse then mine " ;)
I want to learn Spanish. Just need to find the time...
