Name: Kyle Renquist Birth Date: July 18, 1991 Physical Description: Kyle is pretty unassuming by first appearance. He is on the scrawny side, 5'6 and 120 lbs. He has brown hair which he keeps combed back and cut short. He has hazel eyes and a charming smile. But he still attracts the ladies with his boyish good looks. He dresses fairly relaxed, liking khaki shorts and light-colored polo shirts with collars. He does not like to wear any watches or other jewelry except when on a job. Job: Spy/Hacker Equipment: Almost all of Kyle's gear has been provided to him by Icarus, his handler and occasional field partner. The universal hacker is his only piece of original equipment. Universal Hacker - Though he jokingly calls himself this, Kyle developed a device back in his M.I.T. days. It appears to be a clear, hollowed out quartz crystal filled with a unique, gel medium made by Kyle. This device lets him break into all simple security systems just by being close to them. For more difficult systems, this can make his job significantly easier by bypassing certain lines of code. This device also acts as a portable digital black hole. When used, it can siphon off information from any mobile or electronic device in 10'. The device has a storage capacity of up to a terabyte of information. Cell phone - Kyle's cell phone has reception almost anywhere on Earth. It has a built-in GPS, remote control for a few of his tools and can deliver a 200,000 volt shock as a defense. Carbon-fiber Wire Grappling Unit - A CO2 propelled grappling rod 1' long that shoots out a titanium-tipped wire attached to a carbon-fiber line with a weight limit of 500lbs. It has a range of 1000' and fires without sound. The line retracts with the push of a button on the bottom. Lock Picks - A set of modified lock picks that can deal with all sorts of locks, electronic or otherwise. Stealth Suit - For jobs that require a quieter approach, this skin-tight black nano-fiber suit has several enhancements that can make him virtually invisible. The suit is charged through a simple plug-in interface at a charging station at his home base. The suit carries enough power for up to 10 minutes of continuous use. First, it masks his body heat completely. Second, it can emit a dead zone which cancels out any electronic detection methods within 5' of him. Extended use of the dead zone drains an extra 1 minute of power for every 30 sec. beyond the first minute. For example, a security camera could be looking directly at him and it would not register him at all; he would be invisible to it. Third, for no more than 2 min. a day, Kyle can activate a camouflage mechanism which turns him completely invisible. The duration of this usage need not be continuous. Smoke Bombs - Disguised as buttons or cufflinks, these bombs release a cloud of obscuring smoke in a 10' radius. The smoke dissipates on its own in 30 sec. Guns - Kyle has learned the use of most major automatic weapons and small arms. He prefers the usage of a specialized handgun he made himself that he calls 9mm Duveki X-1, named for a contact which died on a mission assisting him. This weapon has a 15-round extended magazine with a built-in silencer and optional automatic fire. He almost always has two of these concealed on him at all times. Also, he enjoys a new gun which his employer gave to him called a Trojan Longarm, a modified AS-50 sniper rifle with a 4 mile effective range and enough power to punch through 2' of steel at maximum range. Various add-ons can be affixed to the gun such as night vision scopes and sights as well as an extended barrel to fire specially made bullets just for the gun. It has a six round clip. Titanium Etched Blades - Kyle has a pair of small titanium blades less than 1' in length concealed in sheathes strapped to his upper arms. They can be released with a flex of his shoulders and drop down into his hands. Garrote Wire - Nothing special about it. A wire used to strangle people. Kyle does not use this to kill, only to disable. He keeps it wrapped around his wrist. Powers: Kyle had some ability before the Crash but did not truly come into his own until the Reboot, where his powers expanded. Agility - Kyle can perform feats of agility that are impossible by human standards. Think superhero parkour. Kyle can run up vertical surfaces up to 10'. Kyle can leap straight up 15'. Kyle can leap up to 30' across if given at least a 5' leeway. Kyle can do gymnastics flips and maneuvers no less than 3 times better than the best on earth Skills: Espionage - Kyle knows all of the ins and outs of the spy game. Disguise - Years of changing his identity lets Kyle slip into and out of any personality or cover ID. Computer Skills - Kyle is one of the top hackers and computer experts on the planet, or he thinks he is anyway. Hand to Hand Combat - Speaks for itself. Cooking - Kyle has learned the fine art of cooking. He enjoys making Italian dishes and American cuisine. Parkour - All of his movement abilities naturally drew Kyle to this activity, which he studied while in an extended stay in France. Charming - People just naturally gravitate to Kyle and like him immediately. Marksmanship - Scoring top ranks for shooting, Kyle is good with guns. Personality: Kyle has a very outgoing personality and is very friendly to all he meets. This becomes useful when tracking or following someone. He enjoys the company of others and likes to party and have a good time. He tends to play this up a bit when on a job. Below the surface, Kyle is a very focused, driven individual always seeking to do better and better at whatever he does. Past: Before the crash, the young man known as Kyle Renquist grew up in a middle-class neighborhood with a younger brother. He enjoyed what all kids enjoyed: playing, running, and all sorts of games. When he started school, Kyle quickly excelled in all of his courses and eventually dropped out at the age of 14, citing that his classes were far too easy for someone of his intellect. He applied for entry to M.I.T. and shockingly was accepted. In M.I.T, Kyle studied everything there was to know about computers, even creating a revolutionary quantum powered microchip. Along with his accomplishments in school, Kyle also was a phenom with physical activities. In gymnastics, he was able to perform feats that stretched the bounds of the human body. He was quick, agile, and had incredible stamina. After a particular event where Kyle had performed flawlessly, he was accused of cheating. But after an investigation including a barrage of doctors, it was discovered that the muscle mass in his body was so condensed and bunched up, he possessed almost 3 times the muscle of the highest level athletes in the world without being weighed down by the added mass. His accolades had not gone unnoticed and after graduating from school, he was approached by the CIA and immediately entered into their covert ops program. The same skills which helped him growing up made him the ideal spy. He had a natural knack to think so far above and beyond the normal range of even genius-level intellect. Infiltration, combat, tech skills; he had it all. There was virtually no computer on the planet which he could not hack. Not long before the Reboot. during a particularly harrowing mission deep into enemy territory, he was supposed to make contact with an informant but was betrayed by not only the informant but his handler. He was no more than a scapegoat. Then the Reboot took place. Kyle found that his overly developed natural agility was heightened to superhuman levels but even with this new power, he was barely able to escape with his life. He went rogue out of necessity and sold his services to certain contractors. The CIA, or specifically his former handler, were not happy and had sent assassins to kill him. Kyle left body bags behind just for them. After being on the run for years, Kyle was approached with a deal by a source who declined to reveal their identity, only calling himself "Icarus". This began what Kyle dubbed "a permanent contract job". Kyle has been working with "Icarus" for several years now. Edited by Deuce, Sep 10 2009, 06:54 PM.

There's nothing wrong with this that I see, but the "-" bullet system you see on other characters is to keep track of upgrades. You'll need to change that setup here. |

I haven't read past his powers and I have a few problems to address. What's with the "Name:Code Name-" thing. We do require real names, unless there is a really good reason for a lack of it, which there might be like I said I haven't read that far. The stealth suit does require an explaination for how it's powered, a batterypack on the back that he needs to recharge, or even is recharge by solar energy or kinetic energy. Just something. And you don't have twenty posts so you're still limited to the one power. He could easily have trained himself to olympian standards of agility but it'll take another seventeen posts to turn it into a power. This could also apply to the intelligence but then he wouldn't have all of those nifty gadgets most likely. |

Ok, sorry ehhehe. Still getting used to it all. I will make the appropriate changes. I made changes. I erased the Mind power part and changed it so that the equipment has been given to him by Icarus. I added a Marksman skill as well and modified the description of the stealth suit hopefully closer to what you think works. Let me know if there is anything else.

Just add a sentence or two about what he did during the Crash and Reboot and how it affected him, if at all, and he's good to go. |
