Name: Chronoboy, aka Kiernan Creed. Birth Date: November 18th, 3048 (Kiernan is currently 18). Physical Description: Kiernan is 6' tall and looks lean but has a deceptively dense body weighing over 250 pounds. His muscles are well-toned and his skin has a slight green tinge to it in the right light, with extremely fine scales visible if one looks close enough. Kiernan's hair is a pale blond, cut short on the sides and naturally spiky on the top. His eyes are blue, but they lighten and darken with his mood, and his pupils dilate into slits like a cat. Kiernan's clothes tend to be mismatched, but that's because he doesn't quite understand the fashions of this time period and his 'normal' clothes are used as his superhero outfit. Job: Consultant for the Silver Shield, honorary member of the SSTC. Equipment: Kiernan has a wrist-mounted device he just calls the 'Thing', which has multiple functions. It keeps accurate time anywhere in the known universe (which is a bit extensive in his time), can interface with most information technology of this time, and serves as a communications device complete with holographic read outs. It can also produce up to a 6'x10' holographic projection of anything stored in its database or for which it is receiving a signal (he likes to use it to watch TV). The 'Thing' also is the control center for the time travel device he used to come back in time. Kiernan's physical prowess is enhanced by a series of biological and technological implants that are detailed in his powers. Kiernan designed the implants himself, though he admits that they are currently in the testing stage and he hasn't been able to secure anything more than a patent for them so far. Powers: Kiernan is a hybrid of human, Shegath, and a third species Kiernan won't name and says humanity will not encounter for another 500 years. His normal physical abilities are far beyond human potential, allowing him to lift close to two tons and run at speeds of up to 40 miles an hour with the appropriate reflexes. Because of his physiological makeup he is naturally very durable, with high-powered projectiles only bruising him. -Kiernan's implants give him the ability to see into various different spectrums of light, including infrared and even allowing him to see down to low frequency FM radio waves. He won't say exactly why, but apparently it's helpful in the future. -Kiernan's implants can suppress pain, allowing him to function when pain would be a hindrance. -Kiernan's implants can control his adrenaline output and focus adrenaline-charged nerves so he has better focus and control in a fight. -Kiernan's implants adjust his muscle strength and reactions to give him a running speed of 100 mph with the appropriate reflexes. -Kiernan's implants increase his durability, allowing him to survive being ht by a speeding bus with only minor abrasions. -Kiernan's implants increase his muscle strength and endurance, allowing him to easily lift 5 tons over his head. -Kiernan's implants increase his muscle strength and reactions to give him a running speed of 200mph with the appropriate reflexes. -Kiernan's implants translate any language he hears into one he understands, and allow him to speak in any language stored in his 'Thing'. -Kiernan's implants increase his muscle strength and endurance, allowing him to easily lift 10 tons over his head. -Kiernan's implants increase his durability, allowing him to survive an impact relative to a twenty-story fall with only minor abrasions. -Kiernan's implants alter his metabolism to allow him to survive for days at a time in environments toxic to most species and to harmlessly metabolize most natural poisons. *Kiernan is able to temporarily mimic the genetic code of anyone or thing he touches. His form and appearance do not change no matter what he mimics, but he takes on all other physical and mental characteristics of the being touched. This allows him to use any powers possessed by the touched individual, as well as benefit from any other natural abilities to the same extent as the original. The mimicry only lasts for an hour, and Kiernan can only mimic one genetic code at a time; because the mimicry is genetic Kiernan cannot mimic magical powers or fae powers, though in those instances he would appear to be the fae/mage in question under non-visual detection. *Kiernan is able to create 'time bubbles' in which he can speed up or slow down the passage of time. Anything in a time bubble achieves a relativistic state and does not age, but Kiernan can cause time in the bubbles to slow down or speed up in relation to anything outside the bubble. Kiernan can make up to five bubbles at once that have a collective volume of 500 cubic feet; inside the bubbles Kiernan can speed up or slow down time by a maximum factor of 50 divided by the number of bubbles created. If placed on a point in space, the bubbles cannot be moved by anyone other than Kiernan; if placed on a moving object the bubbles follow that object so long as Kiernan keeps them up. Kiernan cannot keep a time bubble erected if it is outside his line of sight or more than 100 yards away. Kiernan must concentrate on keeping the bubbles up and cannot do more than defend himself and make basic attacks while concentrating. Anything inside a time bubble reacts to things outside the time bubble relative to the speedup/slowdown of time inside. This means that anything inside a fast bubble moves inhumanly fast to anything outside and anything outside a slow bubble moves inhumanly fast to anything inside. Anything inside a bubble cannot harm or be harmed by anything outside the bubble, due to relativistic effect, meaning any attacks by or against a creature inside a time bubble have no effect. Environmental hazards effect things inside a bubble normally, albeit at the same time reference as in the bubble, meaning that lava or poison gas has the same effect inside or outside the bubble but the time it takes to do damage it affected by the speed of time inside the bubble. Skills: Non-Euclidean Geometry~ Dimensional travel is common in Kiernan's time, and most schools offer classes in Escher-esque physics and geography. Advanced Learning~ Education has advanced so far by Kiernan's time that most things only learned in post-graduate studies now are elementary knowledge for his time. Kiernan's grasp of science and math are equivalent to that of someone with a master's degree in either subject. Techno-Savvy~ The technology of modern times is like bronze and iron tools to Kiernan, and they are childishly simple to understand compared to the tech from his time. Likable~ Kiernan can be mind-numbingly annoying at times, especially when he's showing superior knowledge about something, but people just can't help but like him. Personality: Kiernan is like a kid who just got transported to the time of King Arthur or Robin Hood. He's often in awe of being able to meet people who are only legends in his time, but often a little confused because the reality sometimes conflicts with what he's learned from history and stories. He earnestly wants to help the Silver Shield, but he knows that he can't divulge too much about anything or he could change the course of history. A lot of things that people find mundane are amazing to him, and he often can't understand why people take some things for granted. Past: Kiernan refuses to divulge anything pertinent about his past lest he divulge anything he shouldn't about the future. What he has revealed is that he can trace his human side back down several branches of his family tree to several members of the Silver Shield and SSTC, namely Garrett, Jeremy, and Savant. He doesn't say how, only saying that the how is irrelevant; regardless, his equipment and abilities do link him tentatively to each an the Silver Shield takes him at his word. Kiernan, because of his age, is technically assigned to the SSTC, but because of his knowledge he is directly under Saurus in the R&D department; through meticulous study of the historical records on his 'Thing', Kiernan has been feeding the Silver Shield information on developmental technology in accordance to when they are supposed to have developed something and how close they actually are to that goal. |
