Name: Samuel Orenstead Birth Date: August 18, 1973 Physical Description: Dirty blond strait medium length hair. Deep purple eyes, pale skin, looks young, though age has begun to be etched into his face. He wears reading glasses. His casual wear consists of a grey sweater and brown jeans, while his work clothing consists of sterilized hospital wear, usually augmented for the patient in question. Job: Surgeon Equipment: Wallet, cell phone, pager. Carries a personal emergency medical kit. When on the job has access to a wide variety of medical equipment specially designed for treatment of unusual and normally impossible to treat patients due to unusual biology, powers and manifestations. Powers: None Skills: Medical master: There isn’t a medical fact he does not know. Hands of the healer: Master surgeon. Adaptive Diagnostics: Can adapt his procedures to overcome any obstacles a patient has. Super-science studies: Knowledge of effects that may impede or effect his procedures due to powers, augmented biology, supernatural energies, etc. Personality: Samuel is kind for the most part, or rather, when off the job, enjoys reading, culture, etc. He has an almost fatherly presence. However, when on the job, he is serious, focused, and can be downright scary in pursuit of saving lives. Though the foremost expert on medical treatment for super powered beings, or those effected by them, he has to admit that he is not found of them, as he has seen the kind of problems that have arisen due to them, namely through those he treats. Past: Samuel was inspired to be a doctor when his father was caught in the crossfire of a protogene shoot out, struck by a degenerative energy bolt that doctors could not treat. As such, his life has been devoted to healing and saving lives. He put himself through medical school, mastered biology, and came up with new designs for medical equipment and treatments for victims of those with powers in his studies, unwittingly becoming the best doctor in the business on the way. The crash was a blessing as he saw, the removal of powers made it safer for people, though this did not last, he was glad he had not decommissioned the equipment needed to treat super powered injuries. Currently, Sam is head of Silver Shield Emergency Medical Response Team, treating illnesses and injuries that have a more then normal source, and in a invaluable asset. Asside from this, he responds to cases in several of the cities regular hospitals where his talenets are required. |
