Thorn stood in front of Pier 7, waiting for the others to show up. He was nervious, just a little. The tip Fancy Anne had given him would hopefully prove fruitful. Still, he had a feeling that he would definatly need some help on this one, it was never a good idea to go it alone into unfamiliar Hedge territory, so he had called in a favor. LAst time she had traveled with him, Kindle had been very effective in dispatching the Zookeeper, an ability he had hoped would help protect them from whatever was waiting for him on the path to the mountain. He had considered calling in Lil' Devil, but had decided against it. He wasn't sure he wanted to put her in danger. He wasn't sure how he felt about her yet, but the scene when she had left him that first time seemed to stick in his mind. He wanted to figure things out before he saw her again.

He had also sent word via a cat to the Grey Ghost. He wasn't sure he would show, but he believed his investigative skills may be useful, he seemed skilled enough to follow him into the Hedge and survive on his own, however foolish it was perform such an act. Either that or the man knew no fear, either way he would be of help if he showed up.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"I don't like cats" Vimes said walking out from between to stacks of crates and up to Thorn. "This is going to be more hocus pocus isn't it?"

Vimes lit his cigarette and exhaled. He really should quit but then again with his job he was likely to get killed soon anyway so cancer wasn't a big concern of his.
Do not walk in front of me I may not follow. Do not walk behind me I may not lead. Walk beside me and be my friend.

"Which is why I could be certain to would find you." said Thorn in response, "Cats, go figure."

"Tell me this isn't another jouorney down the rabbit hole," said Kindle, as she met up with the two.

"Afraid so," said Thorn, to both of their questions, "I'm sure Ghost already knows where we're heading since he was with me when I found out about it. I need to get to the top of the mountain of thorns in the Hedge. Since I'm unfamiliar with the place, I thought it would be wise to have someone to watch my back, so I'm calling in the favor you owe me."

"Shouldn't Dev and Titan be here as well?" she said, "We did make the deal together."

"But you agreed as individuals, not as a group. Sorry, that's how it works." said Thorn. Kindle did not look pleased at the prospect.

"Anyway," Thorn continued, "If you will step this way," he touched the post of the Pier 7 sign, and the world between it shimmered to the otherworld that was the Hedge. Thorn stepped through, his disguise melting into his true form.

"Just please tell me they'll be nothing as freaky as last time." said Kindle, remembering how she had ended up a fox woman for a short period of time.

"Who can tell?" said Thorn. Kindle, sighing regretfully, stepped through into the Hedge.

"Behold my mighty iron carapace!" Bellowed Tobor as his rocket boosters sent him roaring through the gateway. He landed on his feet without slowing, leaving a foot-deep and yard-long furrow in the ground of the Hedge on the other side.

"This is disappointing," he said, looking at the foliage around him. "I was told by Mr. Diamond-Head that there would be danger around every corner." As if to prove him wrong a creature that resembled a cross between a gorilla and a tiger leapt out of the trees onto Tobor's back. Immediately the creature's flesh bega to sizzle and it screamed as Tobor grabbed it and flung it back into the foliage. From the sounds, it was fleeing as fast as possible.

"As I was saying, I was told there was danger around every corner," Tobor continued. "I wouldn't have agreed to take on Diamond-Head's debt if I had known this beforehand. There had better be squishy organic things here that aren't of the fae variety or I'm going to get bored very quickly."

A figure that hasn't been seen before in Silver City has been making his way around the docks and currently finds himself around Docks 1-50.

He had come from Mexico City after a written invitation from the Silver Shield asking if he would like to do real Super Hero work. That was on the 28 of September. He had finally made his way down but before reporting for duty, initiation or whatever, he had decided to scope Silver City out. It had been a few day process, he even managed to take out some small time hoodlum in the process, one making the mistake of tugging on his mask at which he rewarded the ruffian with a bulldog that transferred immediately into a crippler cross face.

"This is a fascinating city" said the Purple Star, or as he is known in the world of superheros THE LUCHADOR! In his golden outfit with a purple star on the forehead he continues to walk around getting a grasp of the area. He knew he should report to the Silver Shield soon . . . no doubt they already knew he was in town from the small time work he already done. . . but they could wait . . he would appear there eventually. He continued his walk coming up to pier 7 and seeing . .

"Woah" thought The Luchador as he starred at something he never seen before. "Definitely didn't have THAT in Mexico City. Definitely some type of . . I don't know . . a portal? Mhmmmm . .

A smile escaped through the opening of his mask as he licked his lips and rubbed his chin.

"What a better way than to make an immediate splash in this city. I doubt portals just randomly open for the heck of it around here. Clearly it's been open from somebody and I would bet, no I KNOW there is someone, something, someplace on the other side. Reporting to the Shield can wait longer, I THE LUCHADOR am going to make his presence felt by discovering what ever is on the other side of that portal. Sheesh, it looks like the entrance way I walked through during that match I had a few months ago . . don't remember that guy. Really wasn't that good, definitely not my best match at a . . why am I babbling. WORK TO BE DONE!

Oozing with confidence, and not the least bit worried about what could be possibly on the other side . . . The Luchador enters the portal eager to encounter . . well . . . whatever it is he may encounter!
