NPC group

The Four dragons are a privately funded supergroup, collectively funded by various Asian corporations. Though they have a seemingly limitless budget and are given autonomy to act as they wish, the reasons for the funding are not altruistic in any way. The corporations collectively see calamities and dangerous supers as threats to their profit margins, and as such created the Four Dragons.

The Four Dragons are scientifically created, not natural protochildren but military volunteers who underwent a treatment to force their protogene to activate under controlled terms. Each member has powers governing one of the four traditional elements, much like the dragons of Asian folklore. Each also possess a telepathic ability to 'speak in tongues'; each member speaks in his or her native language, but their speech is translated to the native language of anyone physically present and within earshot. This ability is always active and not consciously controlled, much to the dismay of the members when they wish to keep secrets.

The Four Dragons are only a tiny fraction of the total super-powered population in Eastern Asia. However, they are the only group that acts with the consent of the governments in the region. They are not on very friendly terms with the Silver Shield because of their very lethal tendencies when dealing with super-powered criminals; lacking the containment facilities of the US, the authorities of Eastern Asia turn a blind eye to this practice.

The members in brief are as follows:

Di Long: Earth. A former captain of the Hong Kong police force. His powers include super strength, invulnerability, and telekinetic control over earth, metal, and stone.

Xi Long: Fire. A Japanese martial arts instructor. His powers include immunity to heat, limited flight, and pyrokinesis.

Feng Long: Wind. A Korean doctor. Her powers include flight, weather manipulation, and telekinetic control over air and gaseous materials.

Pu Long: Water. A Thai intelligence officer. Her powers include the ability to breath underwater, survive extreme pressures and cold temperatures, and telekinetic control over water and water-based liquids.
