Silver City is where most of the activity on Protogene takes place. A coastal city on the coast of northern California it holds twice the population of New York City with a high percentage of supers. It's safe to say that about four out of every ten people are super in some way, their power may just be to change their hair color but they still have power. The peoples of Silver City are some of the most tolerant in the world when it comes to supers since it's part of their daily lives. It's rare for a citizen to stick around when someone starts throwing cars around, knowing that it's better to let the "heroes" take care of it. They also have no problem leaving their car behind if need necessary, most citizens insurance covers damage by supers. The climate of Silver City covers the whole spectrum, from sweltering heat to blistering cold. Allowing for all kinds of situations. Over the past fifty or sixty years the amount of super activity has increased dramatically, it is said that this is because of the tolerant nature of it's people it has become a haven for supers in general. This is a fact however, most people don't give a second glance to the lizard man walking down the street and since it's not uncommon to find a Protochild in a position of power, their appearance makes little difference in the matter. |
