Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

 And you wouldn't be able to take shortcuts with your powers to so it becomes easier to keep it a secret.

 I said if I didn't have powers to keep that from happening, like superdurability or reality warping powers or superspeed. Actually I wouldn't be a superhero anyway, I'd just use my powers to make my life more convenient.
