Thorn:

-Chapter of the Source: Contains spells the delve into the core of magic, these spells cannot be cast without a source of magic, in Thorn's case, his staff. Where as most spells are derived from limited amounts of magic focused and formed, these spells focus on raw power. They are less focused and less versitile, more chaotic and lingering then other spells. Spells that require little focus but have more output, albeit with much less control.

Raphael:
-Divine guidance: Raphael recieves some form of unseen guidance, though he himself does not understand it completely, he just knows it tells him where he, or others, "need to be".

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

For Thorn those are too nondescript. It doesn't really say what he can do at all with those two chapters. For Raphael just take away the knowledge of what needs to be done and you're good on that one.

The second one still doesn't say what it does. It's just double talk that doesn't mean anything.

What do you mean by forces of nature? Really both of those chapters sound like things he can already do.

Edited again to try and make the differences more clear.

So the first chapter is spells that require little focus but have more output, albeit with much less control; is that what you're trying to get across? Because if it is, you could avoid any further confusion by wording it that way.

As for the second I just don't understand what you're going for. You need to specify what the 'powers of nature' are. Are we talking spells manipulating the four (or five, depending on your mythos) basic elements, or are we talking shamanistic abilities like channeling animal power and controlling plants/animals?

First one you have right, I've edited it thus.

The second is not controling or manipulating nature, rather harnessing nature to improve himself, sort of quasi shapeshifting spells that add buffs to a person rather then totally change form

Decided to just stick to the one for now, hopefully that makes it a bit easier now.
