Ok here's how this breaks down. If you violate a rule, you get a warning. Second time around if you're still doing it you get a temporary ban. If you're still at if for a third time around you get permanently banned. We're like the Arab, you don't get a fourth chance. However this does mean that if you break three different rules on the seperate occasions you will recieve a warning for both, not a temporary ban as it initially suggests. Although obviously this aspec of the punishment system can be left out of the equation on special cases. *No God-modding. Your character has flaws and can be beaten, those are the facts. If someone is taking advantage of those flaws then there is no miraculous stopping it. This applies to things such as when fighting another character, you don't always miss and don't always hit. This also means that you aren't in control of any other character than your own, NPCs are mostly fair game. *Please keep profanity to a minimum in the In Character Forums. If the FCC wouldn't allow it on T.V. then I don't want it in my forums. *No Bitching. This just means if you have a beef with someone you take it out using the Private Messaging system, that's mostly what it's there for. Keep it out of my forums. If you want to blow off some steam about something there is a place for that, remember that. *Keep sexual content out. Innuendos are fine by my standards but I don't want any direct sexual remarks. Out side of the games is fine, inside the games will get you banned. *No Antagonizing. Do not antagonize other members. If you did not intend to antagonize a member apologize and then explain yourself, however if it is clear you are explaining yourself in a way that makes the matter worse it will be viewed as intentional antagonism. *Moderator Rule is final. This means that if a moderator says you have broken a rule you have broken a rule no arguments. If you believe they have genuinely made a mistake you may private message of email another moderator and explain your case. Otherwise leave it be. This also means that if a moderator feels that something about your character needs to be changed than change it, if you don't understand that ask for a better explanation. If you truly feel that you are being treated unfairly by a moderator than contact another moderator and inform them of what you think is going on. If they disagree with you than you will change what is needed to be changed and move on. *No spamming or trolling. Everyone knows what spamming a forum is, it's when you post for the sake of posting. I don't want it in my forums and it can get you banned. Trolling is similar but also constitutes using l33t speak and starting fights for no real reason, which has already been covered in these rules. Keep if out of my forums and you get to stay, but if it's brought to my attention that you are trolling or spamming you will be punished. *Try to be literate. This rule is rather self-explanatory. Although everyone has different levels of writing we ask that you try your hardest to keep your grammar and spelling as legible as possible. If this means that you have to run everything through a grammar and spell check than feel free to do so, in fact we encourage it. *Do not assume things about someone's adventure. This rule is kind of the same thing as god-modding but in a different setting. If someone has a complex adventure planned out than you will not assume to know anything more than the information they give you. This means that they will send you ques and suggestions so that you can plan your posts accordingly with their adventure, and if you feel you need that information and they haven't given it to you than PM them and ask for the ques and suggestions so that you don't end up stepping on their toes as it were. There's bound to be more rules as I go along but for now this will work. If you have a problem with it too damn bad. Edited by The Royall J, Oct 27 2008, 04:14 PM.
