"So we talking deadly evil entity here or angry unfinished business ghost?" asked Jack, having seen enough horror movies over a lifetime of full moons to have some vague sense of ghost mythos. Ray walked out into the main of the shop, unlocking a cabinet and pulling out a rather old looking book with a old symbol on it. "Let's see," he said, opening it with practised ease without damaging the pages. "Considering what's happened so far, it's probably just trying to scare us," said Ray, looking though the occult book for info on ghosts, "Got to be a boring existance if you think about it, no physical body, no taste or smell, no feelings..."

"Feelings?" said Jack, a bit confused since it seemed like the ghost was capable of anger. "Glands," said Ray, "No body, no glands, simple train of logic." He fingered over the text, "Let's see if we can find some way to make our guest more visible shall we?"

A short time later a space in the shop had been cleared, a circle of chalk had been drawn, and Ray had pulled out some of the eqyption jackel statues for good measure, placing them at the compass points, every so often the ghost would make it's presense known, but it seemed to have calmed down, as if it realized that these guys had del with a lot worse, and were not going to scare. It was more it was now watching, much like a cat with a mild interest. Jack sat in the center cross legged with a unlit candle, waiting for the next instruction. "I'm not going to like, channel this thing or anything, right?" said Jack, "I've seen how that ends in movies and it's never pretty."

"Just light the candle," said Ray, looking through the book, "Let see, walk the circle three time.... say the sacred chant, blah blah blah..." he said as he walked the circle, "These people are way to dramatic. Here we go, and a handful of savor of the earth. and it shall be done." Ra pulled a bandaged bundle out from his clothes, and wrapped it to reveal something white and slightly crystaline, and tossed into the air. Jack coughed then smacked his lips as flavor ccaught him. "Is that salt?" he said, "Please tell me you got that from the kitchen." he said, knowing all about the mummy mebalming process.

There was no real change physically, but to those sensitive to it, there was a distinct shift in energy, a suction if it were, sharp and quick. "That should do it," said Ra, closing the book. "You can come out now," he said to Jack, who retreated out of the circle.

"Ok..." said Jack, having notice nothing changeing, "What did that do exactly?"

"When ever your ready to talk," said Ra to the air in general, a slight smug tone in his voice.

For a moment there was nothing, before a silvery mist seemed to apperate, moving around within the circle as if trying to escape, but stopped as if the was a solid wall where the chalk outline. It coilated until a human form seemed to manifest becoming more solid until the ghostly figure of a man hovered in the circle. His expression was that of annoyance, but not exactly the image of wraithful vengence that Jack would have expected from the dead. Or was it undead. Caine was undead, so was a ghost undead as well, or were they 'dead' dead?

"Fine, fine," came the voice of the ghost, "You got me," he said, a cross between insincere apology and sarcasm.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
