Thorn stood in front of Pier 7, waiting for the others to show up. He was nervious, just a little. The tip Fancy Anne had given him would hopefully prove fruitful. Still, he had a feeling that he would definatly need some help on this one, it was never a good idea to go it alone into unfamiliar Hedge territory, so he had called in a favor. LAst time she had traveled with him, Kindle had been very effective in dispatching the Zookeeper, an ability he had hoped would help protect them from whatever was waiting for him on the path to the mountain. He had considered calling in Lil' Devil, but had decided against it. He wasn't sure he wanted to put her in danger. He wasn't sure how he felt about her yet, but the scene when she had left him that first time seemed to stick in his mind. He wanted to figure things out before he saw her again. He had also sent word via a cat to the Grey Ghost. He wasn't sure he would show, but he believed his investigative skills may be useful, he seemed skilled enough to follow him into the Hedge and survive on his own, however foolish it was perform such an act. Either that or the man knew no fear, either way he would be of help if he showed up. |
