I've decided to start a game of Mafia. Here are the rules: 1. The Mafia members will know who each other are and will also know who The Godfather is. No one else will know this. 2. The detective tries to convince everybody to vote for one person (someone they think is Mafia) 3. Mafia wins when all of the civillians are killed. Civillains win when Mafia is killed. (Civillians include Hero, Bodyguard, and Dectective. Mafia includes Godfather.) 4. The Hero can kill any player if they believe they are part of the Mafia. The Hero can attack whenever he/she wants. 5. Bodyguards can save any player at any time, and, like the Hero, can go whenever they want. The Bodyguard's main objective is to protect civillians. 6. The Godfather is the ruler of the Mafia. Whatever he says, goes. Even if everyone else in the Mafia votes for someone else, whatever the Godfather votes automattically goes. Godfather can use this as often as they want, however, The Godfather should also tell the Mafia to vote for specific people, particulary important civillians such as Detective or Hero. Classes: Mafia: The Mafia is a group of players that try to kill everyone not in the Mafia. The only people who know who the mafia is is other mafia members and the godfather. One member from the Mafia will PM me their choice of who to kill. Mafia wins by killing all civillians. Civillians: Civillians make up most of the game and, though do not do anything special, has the most important role of the game. Civillians vote after the night is over about who should be executed. It is majority rule. This is how Civillians win. Detective: The detective's identity is hidden from everyone else in the game. The detective PMs me what player they want to know about, and then I tell them what role they play in the game. If the detective finds a Mafia player, they have to try to convince everyone that that person is Mafia. Hero: The Hero is a very important player in the game. The Hero can choose to kill any player he/she wants to, but their goal is to kill a Mafia member during the night. The Hero does not have to kill every night, but, like everyone else, must vote during the day. The Hero PMs me who they wish to kill. If it is no one, PM me No one Bodyguard: The bodyguard's role is to protect the other civillians from being killed, even though they could be protecting a Mafia member. The Bodyguard, like the Hero, does not have to save someone every night but must vote during the day, as all players do. Bodyguard PMs me who they want to save. If it is no one, PM me no one. Godfather: The Godfather is the leader of the Mafia. The Godfather's role in the game is to take out key people such as Heroes or Detectives. If the Godfather decides to vote, his vote automatically overrules all of the other Mafia's votes. If the Godfather gets killed, one member from the Mafia will be chosen to replace him.
