Slowpoke is slooowwww
I decided to create this topic 'as my religious topic I promised'.

I mean, where's all the evidence?? Every piece of it has been "destroyed" or "lost".

You should read the book I'm reading (;o IX reads Christian books (actually, it's writen as a story, by someone who used to go to my church. The story is entirely made from facts/the bible.)) The Christian youth camping week I went to also covered this. I'm going to requote that a billion times, btw.

One of the speeches I saw at the week was called Evolution vs. Creation, or something. In the book, Evolution is a topic the science teacher and the main character, 'Dan' talk about.

I've decided to make a list of the point's against science.

1. Lack of Evidence: Did you know there is less fossils belived to be evidence of evolution now than there was in the time of Charles Darwin? Charles Darwin wrote in his book that there would have to be millions of 'mid stages' for his theory to be correct, and actually, there isn't. I can't remember the number(I'll look this all up and eedit all the things I forgot in), but when the man doing the speech said the number of fossil evidences for evolution, I was really shocked. It was something really low.

I'll put in a new number at a later date, I'm busy at the moment. I'm going to keep using that quote, because there is evidence for the bible, and that both the big bang, and evolution, come down to the fact there MUST be a God.

When I said that, I didn't mean to anger anyone or get someone upset...but, at the same time, I'm interested to see where this is going.

Don't mess with the best.
Evolution confuses me =S

But I believe that we came from little tiny cells that multiplied and mutated.

Me being an atheist, I think this can get a pretty good debate ^^

I really would like to react on your first point.
Lack of evidence.
You say that the evolution theory is wrong, because there aren't too many mid-stages. Who knows how many mid-stages there have been? We have only found a small part of the history of the human being, it happens on a regular basis that archeologists find remains of unknown life species. There may be a lot more mid-stages to be found here on the earth.
What really wonders me is the fact that you say that evolution doesn't exist due lack of evidence, but you believe that god exists. How much evidence for it has been found? How many things that are written in the bible have been proved wrong already? Holy images on random object? People have quite a vivid imagination. If I draw a smilie on a piece of paper, nearly all people will identify it as a face.

Second, evolution. Evolution is technically editing flaws. If I draw something, and I don't like some part of it, I will redraw the entire thing, and toss away the original. That is what evolution is about.
Older humanoid lifeforms had flaws, and adapted, to get rid of the flaws. We have been changing quite a lot since the dark ages.
Virusses can adapt pretty easily. How else do you think we can get a flu more then once in our lives? It's because they change, as people get resistant to older virusses. That - both the virus as our body - can be called some sort of evolution too.

This is another thing I don't know which way to go with.
At the time I was born, I was raised to believe one thing, but my parents and I have both started to change our minds, and... I don't know.

I agree with Splat...
I'm a semi-atheist...what would you call that??

At the same time, I'm like BlakAdder-I was taught while growing up to believe in God and believe everything religious I was taught in church. I mean, I don't want anyone to get too upset in what I'm saying, and I do want to go to heaven if there is one-I just don't think there's enough evidence to believe in God right now. Evolution, on the other hand, I believe in entirely. There's really no other explanation right now.

I agree with what splat said. How else would we be made to be perfect and to fight off ilnesses and such things? To be able to eat so we can survive and see and hear and stuff. We keep changing and changing to become better, and eventually we could even become a new race in a few hundred million years.

If you're unsure, then it's called agnostic.

Lol, if we (as humans) actually live that long. I swear that the First or second Apocalypse will come before that.
