This has to be the weirdest Pokemon ever made. Probopass is a weird ass rock that is a new D/P evolution for Nosepass. It's a creepy little *******, but i'll get through this analysis, and never look at it again. #476 - Probopass Type - Rock/Steel Compass Pokemon Height - 4'07" Weight - 749.6 lbs Abilities Magnet Pull - Steel Types can't escape Sturdy - Negates moves like Fissure, Sheer Cold, and Horn Drill Evolution Chain Evolves from Nosepass after leveling in Mt. Coronet Availability: Diamond, Pearl Probopass can only be obtained by evolution. Nosepass, it's unevolved form, can be found in a swarm at Route 206. Moveset Item: Quick Claw Trait: Magnet Pull Stats: HP: 324 Attack: 209 Defense: 389 Special Attack: 249 Special Defense: 399 Speed: 196 Magnet Rise Thunder Wave Thunderbolt Earth Power Probopass is freaky as hell. Look at it. That enormous nose is disturbing. Also, it has to be illegal to have defenses like that. It makes up for his weaknesses to Fighting and Ground types. Magnet Rise is first. When Probopass uses this, his ability will change to Levitate. This is crucial for eliminating his Ground weakness. Remember, however, that this isn't permanent, and the move will need to be renewed every five turns. Thunder Wave is fun on a Pokemon like Probopass. He's slow, and needs all the help he can get. In addition, the added bonus of his opponent not moving can give you the incentive to use this, provided you don't die before you get to use it. Why does Probopass learn Thunderbolt? I don't know. All I know is that this move is decent for warding off those nasty Water Pokemon that are friggin everywhere these days. Also, the fact of a rock shooting thunder is hilarious. Earth Power is a toned-down Earthquake. Why are we using it? To take advantage of Probopass's higher than normal Special Attack. He may not get STAB on it, but it can help with those Rock/Ground types. Probopass needs Quick Claw because, well, he's slow. He's slower than a snail on a turtle. Your ability of choice won't matter, because of Magnet Rise. Alternate Moves time. Block is obvious, as it was Nosepass's signature move, back in the day. Stone Edge and Rock Slide are also good for STAB and flinching, in the case of Rock Slide. Well, that's Probopass. Join me tomorrow for another Pokemon Of The Day! |
