I can't stand Lucario. He thinkS he's SO great, being a Fighting/Steel type, with all those moves he doesn't need, like Bone Rush, Dark Pulse, and Dragon Pulse. If he can do all this, he might as well be able to do my friggin laundry. #448 - Lucario Type - Fighting/Steel Aura Pokemon Height - 4'00" Weight - 119.0 lbs. Abilities: Inner Focus: Prevents Flinching Humble Heart: Speed is raised when Flinched Evolution Chain Evolves from Riolu from Happiness at Daytime Availability: Diamond, Pearl Lucario can't be found in the wild. Indeed, the only way to get one is to get the Riolu Egg that you get from Riley in Iron Island, hatch that, and evolve it. Moveset: Item: Leftovers Ability: Humble Heart Stats: HP: 344 Attack: 319 Defense: 239 Special Attack: 329 Special Defense: 239 Speed: 279 Swords Dance Aura Sphere Dragon Pulse Earthquake/Blaze Kick Ok, as stated above, I hate Lucario. I absolutely HATE this thing. Game Freak gave it way too much. How the HELL does he use Bone Rush, anyway? He's got no bone to rush with! Ok, now that i'm done with my rant, let's continue with this analysis. Swords Dance is to help Lucario's slightly lower than his Special Attack by like ten points Attack stat. He can use the move once or twice, since he's got the typing to survive one or two hits from anything (Friggin Steel side...) Aura Sphere is Lucario's signature move. Well, it would be, if Togekiss didn't have it too (And at least Togekiss isn't overpowered like this thing). It runs off of Lucario's Special Attack, and, in addition, the move NEVER misses! Dragon Pulse can be used on anything that isn't weak to Aura Sphere. The only Pokemon it can't hurt are Steel types, and Aura Sphere takes care of that. Dragon Pulse is also good for when that stray Dragonite/Kingdra/Flygon appears and your Ice Beamer is dead. I find that either Earthquake or Blaze Kick rounds out this last spot. Both moves can take advantage of the Swords Dance mentioned earlier. Earthquake is just a very awesome move to use, but Blaze Kick can take out Scizor and Forretress. Of course, Earthquake is easier to get, since you have to breed for Blaze Kick. Leftovers should annoy the hell out of anyone trying to take out Lucario, since his Steel half already gives him a bunch of resistances, and if he's healing constantly, he'll be a royal pain in the ass to kill. Humble Heart will make all of those Flinch loving Dunsparces and Togekisses think twice before attempting their flinchhax on you. Alternate moves...Oh god, Lucario's got so many, I can't explain them all. You can use Bone Rush, Dark Pulse, Psychic, Shadow Ball, Brick Break, Rock Slide....the list goes on. I'm going to end this article with a statement: I hate Lucario. There, I said it. Join me tomorrow for another Pokemon Of The Day. |
