That whole remaining calm attitude? Yeah, long gone. Maybe it was just the whole hospital setting that actually made things much more real, but it no doubt showed on her face as the healer went about checking her vitals once she was situated. Some things were annoying like the IV and her thoughts beginning to wander to what she had already been told about what was going to go on. Once the healer finished what she needed to she told them she'd be back in a minute which honestly probably meant a while longer than that but Ella could have easily been exagerating as anxious as she was now. The annoying far between contractions that couldn't be allowed to go very far? Yeah, annoying. Annoying and painful and no matter if she already knew what those felt like, they seemed to get worse than the time before anyways. "I'm totally scared right now," Ella admitted, See? He definitely wasnt' the only panicking one anymore. |

Thankfully for Brad, he was able to get a handle on himself soon. It was odd actually how the moment he had gotten to Mungo's he was less panicked, more focused, and much more in control about his nerves. Ella, however, was getting more and more nervous by the second, he could tell. It might have been because of her natural dislike for hospitals and Mungo's alike, or more probably, the sooner it started getting to the actual C-section operation, the more she was thinking about all those possible side-effects and effects that their Healer had told them not to worry about. Well, one thing was for sure, while Brad certainly loved women, the female gender in general, he was sure glad that he didn't have to go through labor. Especially of triplets. It was bad enough just standing beside and helping her get through contractions, he didn't want to think about going through it. He wasn't even going to let it pass by his mind; he was determined to be the stone wall that Ella could use as support. Something of the other. Well, as supportive as he could be while wearing these....kind of ridiculous scrubs. He held her hand, squeezing tightly as he looked at her, giving her a quick kiss before he assured her, "You don't have to be. I'm here, alright? It's going to be okay, we'll have the boys with us before you know it." Positive outcomes only, after all. |

Thank goodness Brad had pulled himself together because two panicking people would probably be a disaster. Of course the assurances did make her feel a little bit better, but she'd feel even better when it was all said and done and they finally had their boys. When the healer did come back she took care of any final nessecaties and ran a check of Ella's vitals for the last time; the healer attempting to be nice and give her own assurance that they did this procedure all the time and it'd be fine. Whatever ease Brad's assurance had given Ella was all but gone once they'd been moved to the operating room. It took a few minutes for them to set up and while they did another healer checked that the anetheisa was doing its job. Oxygen was put in place and the healer doing the actual procedure checked with everyone, including her and Brad, that they were ready. What sort of answer could they honestly expect? Ready as one could be? Because Els was just as freaked out if not more now that this was actually happening. With Brad there though she was a lot calmer than she'd even thought she'd be. Like he said, it'd be fine. The healer in charge proceeded, taking the scaple in his capable hand and made the first incision. It was only a few minutes after that the first cry was heard from the first-born--Blake. He was shown momentarily to Brad and Ella before he was taken away to be looked over as the healer had the second--Aaron--only a minute or two later. The last was Julian, crying just as loudly as his brother's and being shown breifly to his anxious parents the same as the other two, before being taken away in the same fashion. The healer offered his congratulations and then worked on stiching up the incision, something that took a while longer than the inital cut did. While he did the two other's assiting were checking over the triplet's and making sure everything was as it should be. To Ella it had all happened more quickly than she could process it. They were actually here. It was so surreal. At the moment? She couldn't even find words. Just happy tears. |

He was a rock, an impenetrable and stable rock, and despite Rose's teasing comment earlier today, he was not going to faint and pass out when it started. If there was anything even remotely positive that cancer had left on him was a strong stomach. He wasn't even nervous anymore. He might have spoken too soon. When they started taking her vitals again and wheeling her into the operating room, that's when he started getting nervous once more but he wasn't showing it; he wasn't the one on the gurney, he wasn't the one about to get a C-section, therefore he could suck it up. He never once let go of her hand, not for a moment. Not when they put her on the oxygen, not when they started cutting into her stomach with that weird scalpel tool and certainly not when the first baby was out, if anything he only held her hand tighter. Blake, as he and Ella had already decided the names of the boys. He couldn't help as his jaw opened slightly as he stared at the small and purple little boy. He had another child, his first son, and two more on their way. Aaron was next, just as tiny and wrinkled and purple looking as his brother. Even like that, hearing them cry was amazing, looking at them, seeing them actually there after so many months was a tad on the surreal side. He hadn't been there for Belle's birth, hadn't gotten back with Ella in time to see Jett be born, so this was the first time he had experienced this- was he even breathing by this point? He didn't think he was. There he was, their last and most definitely not least son, Julian. Another baby boy, three of them. They were three times as lucky. Squeezing Ella's hand he leaned down to place a kiss on her forehead and wiped away her tears as he whispered in her ear, "You did it, baby. They're all here, it's all great." |

LIfe was always full of those little unique experiences that you wouldn't forget. It was absolutely amazing to have their three little boys after everything. They were all fine and Brad's words made her smile. All the worrying and stressing out and it had turned out just fine. What she did want though now was to hold them as she was sure was the same of Brad but that couldn't happen just yet till they went back to her room. The concern of the pain after the fact was secondary to how happy she currently was. That she could deal with. Once ready and returned to her own room, it was still a few minutes before the boys were brought to the room; no doubt just the healers making sure they were all three healthy. One of the healer's, the other one holding the two cradled carefully in the crook of her elbows, approached Brad, already ready to pass his son over to her. "Do you want to hold him?" Any healer knew it was a ridiculous question but regardless it was asked anyways. The other was helping Ella to sit up better so she could hold the other two comfortably. Everytyhing about them to her was absolutely amazing. Their tiny little features on their faces, their little fingers....absolutely everything. Left alone with time to spend with their kids, Ella glanced up at Brad all smiles. "Hi babies," she said, looking back at the two in her arms--Aaron and Julian. "I can't believe you're actually here." Hopefully she'd be able to assure Brad about his whole concern of not being able to tell them apart because even she'd probably have her moments. |

Brad had read a surprising amount of books on triplets, even peeked a glance at some new father books even though he already had two girls to take care of, and knew that if they even let them hold their sons it would be a miracle. The babies were supposed to be so small and so fragile, and would need to stay in the NICU for...he didn't know how long, the book said it varied. So, expecting to have their Healer come in to tell them that their sons were in some sort of incubation thing to help them breathe, Brad was really surprised when they came in with all three of them. Surprised but nonetheless relieved and happy and grateful and possibly overwhelmed with no idea what to say. Well, except 'yes' to the idiotic and obvious question that the Healer asked him. He held out his arms, and took the baby into his arms carefully. He looked so fragile, he felt so fragile, as Brad held him. He didn't even want to move too quickly for fear of disrupting him. He grinned slowly, looking up to see Ella sitting up and holding two of them. "Welcome to the family, boys," he spoke out, chuckling softly as he looked in between them. "All right, Els, you're going to have to help me out." He looked down at his son. "Who am I holding now?" One would think that having a wife who was a twin and a couple of friends who were twins would make him better at this by now. |

Given a few minutes or less, she didn't care. It was time spent with the boys regardless. She already knew they'd probably be kept a little longer in mungos, but at least there wasn't anything serious. She figured not anyways because the healer's hadn't mentioned anything. "Already confused?" Ella teased Brad. Even though she was guilty of being unsure at first just a little. They'd get the hang of it though or figure out someway to make it easier to tell. "Blake," she answered a moment after. Yeah and with the whole situation actually setting in now that they had the boys...it was crazy. "Can you believe their actually here?" |

"Cut me some slack here, this is the most identical they'll ever look," he responded with a quiet chuckle, because he was kind of afraid of riling them up if he spoke too loudly. In truth, none of them were identical...none. He knew that had to be some medical marvel or something of the like. So, eventually, he would be able to tell them apart. Right now they were all mostly identical little babies. "Blake Alexander Cox," he repeated, looking back down at his son. One of three sons, along with Aaron Nicholas and Julian Andrew. "It's still a little...surreal," he admitted with a small smile, which gradually became wider as he came to realizations. "You know what this means don't you?" It wasn't anything too big of a realization, but he was still amused by it. "The testosterone is evened out," he teased with a grin. "My boys, already doing something right." That had to be some sort of record. |

"This would be the exception to no more hospital trips," Ella said. She remembered saying to avoid them after all the time spent in one, but this was for a good reason whereas the other times weren't. Now if they could try and avoid them after this then that'd be great. Given their track record though? Yeah hard to say. Laughing quietly at Brad's sudden realization, she shook her head. Oh of course he'd come to that realization. It was Brad after-all. "I can see the drama unraveling already," she joked. In all seriousness though after, "Belle and Jett are going to be so excited when they get to see their brother's." |

Brad nodded in agreement to the fact this hospital reason could be forgotten in lieu of the fact that it was a good reason. "Agreed, though let's try and avoid any more of these exceptions for a while, alright?" He joked, though asked in complete seriousness at the same time, as he leaned down -still careful to ensure that Blake was safe in his arms- and kissed Ella once and briefly. Okay, twice, he couldn't contain himself, apparently. Brad loved his daughters, of that there was no doubt, and no one could tell him otherwise. And because he had the money that he did, he frequently spoiled them. He was urged to cease, sometimes, by the mothers but he didn't tend to. They didn't have a problem sharing with each other but...Brad was suspecting some jealousy to arise soon with the coming of the boys. More so from Jett than Belle, but even still. "I can see the sleepless nights," he remarked, laughing a bit. Thats what he dreaded most...loss of sleep. He quite loved his sleep....no more. "Which means no more questions of 'are they here yet?' from Belle," he answered with amusement as he shook his head. "The house is going to be a giant mess," but he grinned while saying so. Because in truth...he couldn't wait. |

"Fine with me." See, she could have handled hospitals before. No big deal. Now that there had been an overabundance of visits lately she didn't like them. They more or less freaked her out so avoiding them was just fine with her. At the mention of sleepless nights, she nodded. Definitely a lot of those. She already didn't like getting up early but now there was everything else to adjust to. Regardless, she loved the boys more than she could actually express right in words. "More of a mess than usual?" Okay she was at fault some of the time for not picking up what Jett and Belle left laying around, but it couldn't be anymore of a mess than it already was right? Probably wrong. Ella frowned when the two came back for the boys though she already knew they couldn't have them for too long. As much as she hated it she knew they'd be well taken care of. |

Not that he didn't adore and love his children with every fiber of his being because he did, but seeing as he now had five...he could say that was enough. Definitely enough. He couldn't even imagine having one more; just the mere thought of it was enough to scare him off sex for a while. Well, even without it he would still be off sex for a while anyways. As he had been already. He guessed more weeks wouldn't really make a difference. Ha, yeah, sure. Brad laughed and nodded, "Yeah, more than usual." He couldn't deny that he was tempted to hire a cleaning lady sometimes. But seeing as how the house was enormously giant and he had no clue how to clean up anything with magic....he tended to clean a fair bit. He didn't mind- he had to clean as punishment when he was a kid and now every time that he was frustrated he...tended to clean. He didn't like to admit it, but seeing as how cigarettes and alcohol outlets were taken away from him... Either way, it was a well kept secret, and it had better stay this way. Once the two Healers came in, Brad frowned a bit as well, mirroring Ella's expression, but nodded as he first kissed Blake's small head and gave him to the awaiting Healer as gently as possible. Then he leaned down to kiss both Aaron and Julian's foreheads, before Ella gave them to the awaiting Healer as well. |

Ella absolutely hated seeing the boys being taken away like that even though she knew they weren't far. They'd get to take them home soon and okay, things would be chaotic maybe but it was a welcomed chaos. Being her usual self she of course expressed her concerns, the little things Brad had already heard, and was assured not to worry over again, but then decided she wanted to rest. Falling asleep though she had a smile on her face as she held Brad's hand. They finally had the triplets. |
