That walk should have been short, but it felt like it went on forever. Couldn't she just apparate or run or something? Walking slowly was driving her insane. It took too long. Just these few seconds were too long to wait. She wanted this far too much to wait any longer, so Em sped up her pace just a little bit. Whoever said a bride had to walk slow had obviously never had gotten married before - it was torture.

It was when she finally got close to him that everything began to overwhelm her. Five more minutes tops and she'd be a married woman. She'd have a family, a real family. Now, Em loved the Den to death and she'd have jumped in front of a train to save any of them if she needed to, of course she would. They, too, were family, but not like the man in front of her or her daughter inside of her. It was much different than that.

When Emery finally reached Peter, it seemed, for a moment, that she forgot how to breathe again. She couldn't even run if she wanted to at this point, which was a good thing, because she definitely didn't want to run. Right there, right at that moment, she was looking at forever. Forever with Peter. She fully intended on spending the rest of her life with him. She'd give birth to a beautiful baby girl in just over a month and they'd raise her together, a real family, and watch as she grew up. Maybe they'd even have more children, free of all of the complications of Lycaeus and their evil plotting. Maybe they'd get that Italian vacation home that Em had been talking about, or maybe they could get one near a beach somewhere... All sorts of future plans swam around in her head, momentarily distracting her before her eyes fell on his face again. Oh, right. They couldn't do any of those plans if she didn't stop getting distracted and actually get married.

"Hi," she told him, unable to control the grin that broke free. Was she supposed to talk to him? Oh, who cared? He was going to be her husband in a minute, so she had every right to say anything she wanted to him, even if it was in the middle of their wedding. "You ready?" She knew she was.

Lena and Rian both took their spots at the side of the alter as they waited for Em to reach the alter. By now everyone was standing up as Em made her way down, and Iain was trying to struggle free from Lena's grasp as he wanted to catch a glmpse of the bride.

As for Peter, his eyes never left the bride. Why did she had to walk so slow? Every second felt like eternity before she finally reached the alter. As she stood right infront of him, he took her hands in his as he mirrorred her grin. "That's a silly question," He replied, of course he was ready, he was more than ready at this point.

"You look absolutely beautiful." She had always been beautiful but today, she was beyond beautiful. Even a Veela could never compared to her.

Controlling Emery's excitement at this point was next to impossible. It'd only be a few more minutes. All she had to do was listen to the minister ramble, say 'I do,' and they were finally married. Then they could have their reception, run off to a fantastic honeymoon, and then head home just in time for the baby to be born. The next month or so was all theirs.

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Iain trying to break away from Lena and she grinned. The grin still stuck to her face, she looked back at her bridesmaids. She owed those girls her life and probably even more. Anyone that could put up with her deserved a prize. A quick sweep over the audience showed the rest of the Den and many people she'd met recently. If she'd wanted to run, there was no way she could with all of those people there and waiting. With a deep breath, she turned back to Peter.

"Well, I'm just making sure," she told him, laughing slightly at the end. There was no need for confirmation. If he didn't want to marry her, he'd never have proposed. "Thank you. You don't look all that bad either." Okay, she knew it was her wedding, but did anyone really expect her to be that serious?

Speaking of serious, that was when the minister began speaking and Em pulled her eyes from Peter's to look at him. Of course, that didn't last long, and only a moment later, her eyes were stuck back on Peter's, barely paying attention to what the minister had to say. Objections? What were those, anyway? How could anyone object to this? This was right. This was more than right. She didn't even pause to give anyone time to object before giving the minister a look meant to make him go a little faster. Then he was calling for rings, and she looked over at Peter again. She didn't feel like she was going to be tied down at all. In reality, she wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of her life with him.

"Making sure that I don't run away?" Peter responded grinning. He would never do such a thing though, but if he wanted to, he would had done that a long time ago. It was too late to back out now and why would he even want to? He then shook his head, "Well for once I'm back to wearing all black for old time sakes."

With Emery, everything changed. She brought out the best in him, a side that he didn't even know he had. At first he was terrified, but after a while, just being with her felt right. As he stood facing her, her hand in his, it was as though they were the only two people there. The minister's voice echoed quietly in the background, not loud enough to penetrate Peter's thoughts though. Oh how badly he just wanted the 'I do' part to come so he could then sweep her off to their honeymoon destination. Now if only he still had that time turner from his school years, that would definitely come in handy.

As the minister asked if there were any objection, Peter was half expecting someone from Lycaeus to barge in, but when no one did, that made him concerned. He knew them, he spent the majority of his life with those people and he knew they wouldn't miss an opportunity like this. But no, he won't complain because he didn't want anyone to ruin this moment. Peter blocked the thought out of his mind as he squeezed Emery's hands before reaching into his pocket and pulling out her ring. It was a simple golden band, not that fancy compared to the engagement he had gotten her. "I love you." He said, slipping the ring onto her finger, his eyes never leaving hers for a moment.

By now, Iain was standing near Emery as he poked her leg and held out the pillow with the ring laying on top. "Auntie Emmmm." He said, beaming at her. It took Lena a good five minutes before she managed to get Iain to go toward Emery instead of running off to sit beside his mother instead. He was restless, Lena didn't blame him, any kid would be.

Okay, so when Peter actually repeated it, any idea of him running away was pretty laughable. The thought of any of this ending was hilarious, actually. Maybe it'd only been two years - not including those first couple of months that she screwed up - but it was the best two years anyone could have ever imagined. Maybe she had to live with Fake Peter for five months, and yes, that was absolutely awful - but Real Peter forgave her. Any man that can forgive what happened was definitely worth keeping around. And his dedication, to her and to their child, never ceased to amaze her.

She rolled her eyes at his clothes statement, laughing at it. She wondered if the minister was getting annoyed with them and their refusal to listen to the words he was saying. Did marriage ceremonies really have to last this long? Yes, it was beautiful, and yes, she was loving her wedding, but she was too excited to actually get married. Too excited to have to keep standing and waiting,

After the minister called for rings, Emery's eyes locked back on Peter's, understanding that this really was it. They only had, what? Just a few more minutes and they were married? And did they really have to stick around for their party? Couldn't they just go honeymoon right after the ceremony? That'd be awesome...

Another wave of emotion hit Em as Peter slid the ring onto her finger. She had to hold herself together to keep from hysterically sobbing. And it wasn't even sad tears - she was so happy that it was overwhelming and she didn't even know how to handle it.

Before she could say anything back, there was a poke at her leg and she looked down to see Iain holding out the ring. Emery smiled and took the ring from him, before leaning down further and giving him a hug. "Thanks, Iain. We couldn't have done this without you." She stood up then, giving him a light nudge to go stand where he was supposed to go and she turned to face Peter again.

"I love you." With shaky hands, she held the ring and carefully slipped it onto Peter's finger. Her eyes didn't move away from his at all, but remained focus on his. Why did his eyes seem even more beautiful at this moment? When the ring was on, the minister was talking again, but Em didn't hear him. She was taking this as her chance to talk, too. "I know we want a quick wedding and vows take a thousand years and all that, but I can't help myself. I just... I can't marry you unless you know just how much you really mean to me."

She took a deep breath, but didn't let go of the hand that she'd placed the ring on. She held it tightly, continuously reassuring herself that this was real. This was no dream. Reality was such an incredible place that day.

"I owe you my life, Peter." It started out firm, and ended in a shaky whisper, those stupid emotions returning again. "I honestly believe that, if things hadn't happened the way they had, I wouldn't be here anymore. I would've, like... passed out in a bar and never woke back up or something. But, you saved me... You saw me at my weakest, but you loved me regardless. And you have never, not even once, made me feel bad or guilty about the person that I used to be. God, Peter, I just think that you are the most incredible man on the entire planet. I really believe that. And I am so ready to spend the rest of my life with you, and I will love you until the day I die. I promise you that. I don't want anything less than forever with you."

Emery knew that her promises didn't mean much. How many times had she promised faithfulness, and how many times had she cheated? But that was a long time ago, before she really realized just how much she loved him. There was no one better than him, she was sure of that. Her little speech over, she waited for Peter's, or for the minister to talk, or whatever was going to happen next. She had taken a little wedding detour, but hey - it was totally necessary.

Peter couldn't help but smile at her as she began to tear up. He still found her incredibly beautiful. He never really cared about whether or not she dressed up, actually that was one of the things he hated about her at first. He and Jem would often called her powderpuff just because of it - but somehow, something changed. He saw passed it, she grew on him and eventually, he fell for her.

At that moment, it was just her and him; no minister or audience. He was simply focused on her, on her every word which caused his heart to race. Everytime he touches her, looks at her, it's like the first time all over again. And that feeling, he never wanted it to end.

"Emery, you are my forever. There's no one else I would rather be with."

And it was true. He couldn't imagine life without her, it was too horrid to even imagine. Peter looked down at their hands, the rings, and beamed. She was his, and he was hers - exactly how it should be.

The truth of Peter's words stuck with her - she was his forever. They were forever. She caught herself grinning as she held his hands tightly, following his gaze down to their hands. Life couldn't get more perfect. It could try, but that moment she felt on top of the world. Right then, holding Peter's hands, she could really grasp the concept of 'forever'. And she wanted to spend every single second of it with him.

Emery paid so little attention to the minister as he spoke that she was unsure of how she actually had any idea of what was going on. But she swore she heard something about kissing. She didn't wait for confirmation, but instead pulled him forward as she pressed her lips to his. He was all hers now.

"I love you. Like, a lot. Just so you know," she said after she'd finally pulled away, then grinned. Obviously she loved him. If she didn't, they wouldn't be there. Instead, this was the man she wanted to spend her life with.

Peter was caught off guard as Emery pulled him forward, into the kiss. He thought it was going to be a mutual thing, where they both leaned forward, but oh well. Peter wasn't complaining. He wrapped his arms around her waist, drawing her in closer before allowing her to pull away. If it wasn't for the minister or the audience, he would had continued kissing her for as long as he could. "I love you too, triple that."
Once the minister was done, Peter grabbed Emery's hand as he lead her down the aisle, a grin inevitable from his face.
