Hearing footsteps along the corridor and the handle of the door turning, Lara looked up eagerly, grinning at the sight of Will. "Well someone's all dressed u...p..." Lara trailed off, the grinned slowly fading to a wary expression as Ralston followed in behind him. "Sir..." she murmured, nodded in greeting to Ralston. Her gaze settled seconds later on the eldery man who came in last. She hand't been expecting anyone except Will to turn up that morning. "I didn't know we were having visitors," it was said casually. So that was Will's grandfather. Lara didn't even realise he had any living grandparents.

"Pleased to meet you, Sir." Lara always felt intimidated by Will's family, a little nervous around them. She never knew what to say or how to act. When Ramiro spoke though, Lara's eyes widened, darting a moment to Will before returning to his grandfather. "Will and I aren't quite ready to get married yet," she spoke up carefully, trying to be polite. "And II was just unplanned... You're welcome to meet him if you want."

Ramiro looked like he stopped paying attention to Lara half way through her talking and looked to William. "I didn't know your woman changed your child's name without your permission. You told your father you're the boy's name sake." he stated calmly, but Will knew that time it was a jab at him.

"Yes, grandfather, his name is William, but we decided that would be his nickname." he stated quickly to avoid rambling, but even then, Will's ears turned a delicate shade of pink. "We are going to see him now, would you both want to join us?" Will asked. Ralston nodded and Ramiro got back up from his chair as Will moved to Lara to help her on her feet.

Thanks to ANNA for the awesome sig!
5 Reasons I should accept Lara and the baby:
1) I am madly in love with her still
2) It is my baby after all
3) I am willing to pay child support, so why not go one step further and be a dad to the baby?
4) I am hurting Lara more than helping her
5) Did I mention I am madly in love with her and she is always on my mind?

From the moment Will's grandfather opened his mouth, Lara decided she didn't like him. She wasn't too fond on Ralston either but at least he was careful to an extent with what he said. Ramiro really didnt seem to care about watching what he said and Lara wasn't about to hear him call their son a bastard. Hearing Ramiro refer to her as your woman to Will, Lara's jaw clenched. She would try to be as polite as she could but in her opinion Ramiro was being rude.

It was clear he was another of those old fashion purebloods. Chooosing a baby's name was a joint decision and what was so wrong about her referring to II by the nickname they'd given him? They chosen to call him that so there'd be no confusion and Will had really disliked the idea of using the name William when they referred to their son.

She didn't know how Will could be so polite but clearly he was intimidated by his grandfather. Lara could note the pink tinge of his ear from a mile away. Inwardly she groaned when Will invited Ralston and Ramiro to join them. Of course, she'd offered the same thing only moments ago but she hadn't meant right then. She'd wanted a quiet morning just the three of them. Lara could almost predict Ramiro... maybe even Ralston tutting at the cheery baby blanket and little stuffed bear she'd added to the incubator. She couldn't rightly say they couldn't join them, neither did she want to say anything more, just to be ignored by Ramiro.

When Will moved to her side to help her to her feet, Lara shot him a small grumpy glare, reaching for her dressing gown and tugging it on and stepping into her slippers. "You could have owl'd to warn me," she grumbled under her breath, stuffing the camera she'd found in her her bag the night before, into her dressing-gown pocket before they set off out the room towards the NICU. She wasn't really mad at Will, just frustrated. She could have made herself more decent for visitors, or been better prepared. She knew though that Will's family wouldn't have taken no for an answer.
