"I only hermit when the going get toughs or I can't figure something out," Dante explained. "Don't know what that says about me though."

He shrugged his shoulder's then. Hermiting was just the go to answer at times or well most times. But as Anna pointed out it it tended to get him into trouble.

"The fact this is one less stressful situation helps. Plus technically I was hermiting at home too so that had to be put to an end right?" He grinned. "We should stay in touch though this time."

"Bad tactics, when the going gets tough you get help." She raised an eyebrow, and motioned to herself, "Or talk to distant friends that like to dole out what they seem to think is useful information, which may not help all that much - but they listen, and that could potentially help." She stopped herself from rambling. She did that a lot. Her hands weren't even free to brush her hair back, so looking down at their feet moving in circles was what she settled for, just then.

She shook her head, "You do that too often, really. I'm officially banning hermiting for you. No more." Anna paused and thought about his words for a moment, "Most definitely." She added, "I need a birthday present anyway. We have months until yours, but mine just passed." And then she laughed again.

Gabe stood in silence a moment, enjoying his whiskey, eye glancing over the room and the dancing couple, hovering to gaze down at his lovely wife. Dancing. Well, they hadn't danced since the weekend at that creepy manor house. He laughed when Leslie called him a masked stranger, led onto the dancefloor and dropping his empty glass onto a passing tray, brushed his fingertips along the edge of her mask.

"I don't like these things. I can't see your face," he pouted slightly, lowering his hand to snake around her waist, tugging her closer, none too subtly. Any moment spared together was a perfect moment. Gabe lowere his lips close to her ear, kissing just below the lobe. "What're you thinking?" he murmered.

Logan Grey

Logan gave a short goodbye wave when Kerri left the girl. Sure he found it weird but it's not his business. Although he did felt a tension between them and he was right when Ama sighed said something about her. He didn't know, he wasn't paying attention. He grinned and said to Ama, "I guess she doesn't appreciate fine clothing." And speaking about fine......

He grinned at both Shayna and Amber as they introduce themselves. "Very nice to meet you ladies." he said coolly with a smile. He raised his eyebrow amusingly when Amber said about hot guys making parties better. "Well the only reason hot guys even come to parties is to see the gorgeous ladies such as yourself." he said as he gesture to everyone in the group. It was the truth, seeing beautiful women are one of the main reasons why guys come to clubs and stuff. That and alcohol.

Tina made a comment about dancing and him handling four women at the same time. He grinned innocently, "Now Tina, you should know I treat women better than that!" Of course when the rest of them started to beg (writer: Omg, that stuck up little...*sighs in defeat*) for him to dance with them, what else could he say? "Enough talking, lets’ dance!" he sang out as he took his arms off of Ama and Tina's shoulder and smirked at the four ladies.

Jayden Bentley

"No unfortunately." Jayden responded regarding siblings. But basically, everyone at the Den was like family to him, so he viewed them as his siblings. Annoying, siblings. He smiled at the thought. "Only child." Truth be told, he didn't even remember his parents that well. Everything before meeting Greyback seemed to be a blur in his mind.

"Well I think you have to thank your sister, cause it's paying off." He laughed as he spun her before resting his hands on her waist when the music changed to a slower pace. "I don't really dance that often. So this is like a once in a moment kind of deal." He grinned before answering her question.

"I work at this Muggle restaurant, downtown London." He responded. "I used to work at this one place in Diagon Alley but the currency exchange from Muggle money to Wizard is rather good. So..." Yes, Jayden finally got a job. It was something to do at least and beside, he was bored of staying at the Den all day. He kept the part of him being a werewolf silent, because she didn't need to know that. He found it of no importance really...

"How about you?"

Clay laughed when she flushed in embarrassment. "Don't let them bother you love." He smirked as he pulled her back, his hands on her waist as if saying that she was his. Well for tonight of course. "You know, you're adorable when you flushed."

With one hand, he gently brushed her hair behind her ears as he smirked. "So, lady's choice. What is your next choice in activity for tonight?" He was here to entertain her of course, and himself for that matter.

The color in Lexi's cheeks only reddened as Clay laughed at her. She really didn't see what was so funny. In fact, the entire thing was just a bit too embarrassing for her. Sure, she loved being the center of attention, but not because she was making out with some guy in a corner. That made her look like a complete whore, which she was most definitely not. When he told her not to let them bother her, she arched an eyebrow. "But they're staring... How am I supposed to just ignore that?" She pouted slightly, flushing even more as he called her adorable. She didn't usually react like that, not unless she was embarrassed.

"Oh, no, no. See, I picked 'let's make out in the corner.' It's definitely your turn," Lexi said, sliding her arms around his neck. It was amusing, because she knew she'd be nothing like this once they got back to Lycaeus. So, she just wanted to enjoy the random confidence while she still had it. "So, your choice. What are we doing next?" She couldn't help the tiny smirk that appeared on her lips.

Lynx was definitely glad that she and Abi had decided to get out of the house for some much-needed fun and friend-bonding-time. Sure, it was Valentine's Day, but since when had their little quad ever been overly-traditional? Besides, Lynx honestly believed that it was a little ridiculous to have one day of the year when love was emphasized over everything else when shouldn't that be the case every day? Call her a pacifist or a sap or whatever, but that was just what she believed.

So this day they were breaking tradition a little bit and celebrating parental love, and love between best friends. Besides, she hadn't been out with Abi in ages. She was just constantly in 'workworkworkworkwork' mode or at home with James to the point where she couldn't even remember the last time she went out, relaxed and had a drink.

"Hm...well, there are a lot of single people," she commented in response to Abi, grabbing them both drinks from a passing waiter with a tray, handing one to Abi. "So I think there are a lot of possibilities. I bet I could match everyone up if I tried, though," she said with a grin.

"Think I should try?" she joked. "For instance: that guy?--" she pointed to one person at one end of the room "--and that girl?"[/]b She pointed to a woman on the other side of the room. "I think, just based on emotions that they're having right now...they'd be a good match. Of course, I'd have to see them interact and see the chemistry there..." She shrugged. She was getting better at this empathy thing: sure it had taken her whole life, but she was finally able to have some semblance of control in a crowded room and start to differentiate between lots of people's emotions.

"Well you'd better not regret it, 'cause I'm not the kind of girl that chases a guy and you know basically nothing about me." She smiled, "Except for the fact that I'm a marvelous dancer." As for his compliment, she laughed, "Thank you." The dress... Merlin, it was a miracle she could even find one.

At his question she shook her head gravely, "Nope. The only exception is if it's obvious that you're with someone - the ordering of two drinks instead of one and then the immediate return to your compadre." She was just babbling now, and when he said his last name she raised her eyebrows.

"I like it."

Hunter had had quite the productive evening. He had been going out and serving drinks on the floor as well as being behind the bar for a little, and he was loving his new job. He got to interact with a lot of different people and have some fun conversations. Conversations were always pretty fun with drunk people. La Botella Verde was definitely a great place to work, and he couldn't say he didn't like the uniforms. They...definitely stood out in the crowd of formalwear.

He headed over to the bar to where Athena was working with his empty tray of drinks he'd just distributed. "So, anything else you want me to be doing?" he asked. He figured he was under her direction for the evening.

Of course, a very attractive man at the bar caught his eye, and he had just sat down. Putting on a grin, he headed over to him. "What can I get for you?"

The night seemed to be getting along pretty well; Athena had been good. She'd stuck to the bar, experimenting with tastes and drinks. It was fun, and besides, that meant that she could check out all of the people in the masks, watch the corners - there were already a couple over there making out, which made her laugh - and play with the ridiculous amounts of alcohol and other fruity drinks the hostesses paid for.

She'd had a few men pay for a few drinks of her own; she'd drank them, or course, but she knew how it worked. When she started to feel the effects, she would get her bottle of butterbeer (which actually was empty) and do a "chaser" while actually spitting the booze into it. Kept their customers happy, and her on her top game.

Tonight, her attention stuck more on the women in their tight, sometimes revealing, sometimes just demure enough to be interesting outfits.

Needless to say, she wasn't bored whatsoever.

"There you go, doll." Athena handed over a love potion #9 and went back to people watching.

When Hunter came back up though, Athena straightened up and grinned. He was a new employee, and she was asked to watch over him for the night - but he clearly had experience and knew what he was doing; she approved. "Just enjoy yourself, really. They have a good time when we're having a good time."

Hunter spotted Carlos before Athena did, so as he went over there to talk to him, Athena turned around to get his usual. "I got this one."

It took her a minute, and she nodded at the other employee working to let them know they could take over for the moment, and walked over to the two. "Hey you." She greeted with a bright smile, "I don't know if you two have already met, but Hunter, this is Carlos; the twins' brother. He works upstairs, is basically a god behind a camera. And Carlos, this is Hunter, the newest addition to our little party. Isn't he cute?"

Brad couldn't help but agree with Paolo's wish for himself. However, he doubted he was exactly...Paolo's type. That had never really stopped him before. He just got amused with it, really. And there probably weren't that many options for himself, despite the amount of good-looking men he was seeing.

So he figured he should probably just have fun with the evening. He looked over Paolo in an all-encompassing once-over, not bothering to hide the appreciative grin. "Hopefully."

He sipped his drink again. "Nice to meet you as well. So, what brings you to a Valentine's Day ball alone?" Of course, he could probably be asked the same question, but he was just curious.

Abi giggled immediately. "You know, I was only half serious."

She was teasing. Following where her finger was pointing, Abi arched her eyebrow at the guy she was pointing out and let out the teeniest whistle. At the girl however, she smiled and turned around to lean against the bar.

Waving to Emma as she joined them, Abi smiled brightly and beamed. "Lynx is going for a new record. See how many couples she can get married before the new year. Think it's her new years resolution..."

Oh yeah, she was definitely having fun with this. Did she feel slightly bad for leaving Tristan with the kids on Valentine's Day? Well, a little. But the truth was she knew Tristan and Tyler had probably been missing a guys night as much as she'd been missing hanging out with Lynx and Emma. They needed a night to sit in and swap Quidditch stories and debate latest games and eat, and the girls needed a night out with no work, no responsibility's, free gossip and lots of good company.

Hey, sometimes the stereotypes existed for a reason. Plus she'd just missed her friends.

Squeeing a moment later, she hugged Emma and then blinked rapidly.

"Okay. So. I love the shoes." She pointed to Em's shoes happily.

The thick Romanian accent surprised her and for a half second, Sadie really thought she had been wrong. Startled and throwing her hands to her mouth about to apologize, she started grinning a heartbeat later.

Sneak.

"Tease." She stuck her tongue out at him for a half second, her hands going to play with the pearls around her neck while she listened. Casting her eyes around for the guy Anya was dancing with, Sadie let out a little giggle and pulled her lips into a slight pout.

"Hmmm. I approve." He definitely looked quite handsome. Teasingly, she continued, "Of course, I'd have to see the mask off to be sure of anything for real, but you know, passes preliminary sisterly inspection." Holding her hand behind her and ordering a drink quickly she grinned back,

"Hospital. Nothing big, just...patients that I wasn't sure I wanted to leave. I came though. Proud of me?" Taking a sip of her drink she blinked and then laughed, "Hey, wait a minute! I don't think socializing includes talking with your sister. No matter how long it's been since we've really seen each other..."

It didn't take Declan long to find Kel when he entered the party. He was running a little behind because one of his patients had had a bit of an emergency. That, however, was all taken care of, she was fine, and he had been able to go home and get ready with no further problems.

Approaching her while she was sitting down at a table, he took the unoccupied seat next to her.

"Hm, I think it might be bad luck for a woman to be alone at a Valentine's Day ball. Care to be my date for the evening? I seem to not be able to find mine... I'm thinking these masks were a bad idea," he greeted her with a grin.

Kel had taken something fruity from one of the employees, a virgin strawberry something or another. It was frozen, and she'd sipped on it as she waited for Declan to show up. It was amusing, with all the masks around, to try to figure out who was who. Some people she recognized; others she figured she either didn't know or they'd changed enough about them that she wouldn't recognize them anyways. Her own dress was surprisingly tame compared to what the other girls were wearing; simple, and loose. Although it bothered her a little bit that she couldn't go with her usual fashion, she wasn't all that bothered by the lack of flair.

Sometimes, simplicity was good. Besides, the gown was comfortable and as big as she was, comfortable was a really, really good thing.

As soon as someone sat down beside her, Kel left her glass on the table and turned in his direction, an automatic smile lighting up her face behind the mask. "It is, isn't it? I was contemplating wandering off to one of those dark corners and letting a cupid do what it may to me."

Well? There were single guys there too.

"However, since you're offering... I'd love to be your date for the evening. Hopefully your original one won't mind too much." Kel dropped it a moment later though, because she leaned forward to kiss him, and greet him with a, "Hey you."

Sam was definitely loving how much of a success the evening was turning out to be. She saw a ton of people she didn't recognize and some she did, and they all seemed to be having fun. She was really glad she'd met Annie and planned this all with her, and at the moment, she couldn't see any hosting duties that needed to be performed. La Botella Verde was a really great place to have hosting this ball because it was...absolutely perfect. The staff was wonderful, and everyone was having a good time.

And that meant that she could enjoy her own evening with her boyfriend. Her only current issue was making sure that the train of her dress didn't get stepped on by people. Grabbing the two of them a couple of drinks, she handed one glass over to Pierce, leaning in to kiss him softly.

"Happy Valentine's Day." She took a sip of her drink and surveyed the crowd. "I'd say this evening turned out to be a success, wouldn't you? I mean, everyone seems to be having fun." She was surprised at how many singles showed, and she liked it. She liked that there were so many people with enough confidence to go to a Valentine's Day ball single.

Carlos Cisinerros
Cisinerros #2
It was practically routine by now; clock off from work, make sure the late-night chef was caught up with everything, partake in a single, departing drink and then head back home. Carlos usually wasn't someone prone to routines, but he really had no problem with this particular one. First because, there really was no way he could change the first half of the routine; it was something that quite simply needed to get done. The other half of the routine, well he always managed to be met with all kinds of mini-situations while sitting at the bar, enjoying his last drink. And sometimes he did go home, but not really home and at other times he didn't even reach his home. Like he said, routines weren't entirely bad.

He sat down at the bar, slipping in through one of the employee entrances so he didn't have to deal with the whole 'no mask' aspect. No sooner had he sat down when he heard a voice addressing him. He turned his head to the side as a new employee stepped forward. As least, Carlos figured he was new seeing as how he knew most employees. He was about to inform him of his drink, but that was before he saw Athena was already getting it for him, Carlos grinned and pointed with a nod, "Being taken care of, thanks anyways." He was surprised there was something aside from pink and red drinks right at that moment in the first place.

Reminding himself to keep being polite -seeing as how he had the tendency to appear rude, even if he really didn't mean to- he addressed the man again, "Good night so far?" he looked around briefly, noticed a couple of familiar. . .well, he really couldn't say faces but that general gist, at least. Turning to Athena when she greeted him, Carlos grinned at her with a slight inclination of his head and spoke out, "Hi, beautiful." It was his common greeting to her; Carlos had no problem giving credit when it's due.

He listened intrigued and of course amused at Athena's introductions, chuckling low under his breath and adding a simple, "Not a god. Maybe a demigod." That was basically him being modest. "Very handsome, yes," he agreed with Athena with a small grin before he held out his hand to Hunter, "Nice to meet you."

Just enjoy himself. "Oh, I can definitely do that," he replied. Of course it was true. Obviously, because he said it. But there was definitely something to be said for a great party, and all the people responsible for putting on this one were doing a fine job of it.

"Yeah, the night's going pretty well," he addressed the man. Of course, the cute guy turned down his offer for a drink because Athena was getting it. He actually turned out to be Carlos Cisinerros, the twins' brother.

A demigod behind the camera: Hunter liked the sound of that. Of course, he'd always loved being in front of cameras, so naturally it was appealing. "Really? Film or photography?" he asked curiously.

He smiled at Carlos' approval of his looks, although he wasn't exactly surprised. "Thanks. I could definitely say the same. Very nice to meet you as well," he replied, shaking Carlos' hand. "I hope we'll be working together more in the future so I can get to know you better." Now that was something he really wanted to do, because it would be a shame if he didn't get to at least look when he wanted.

Ever since she'd met Carlos and started fiddling with cameras with him, she'd been the one making his 'nightcap' of sorts at the bar. It was just auto-pilot anymore, just doing so because it'd been what she'd done for so long. That night was a little different, only because the colors were all mixed up - it was, Valentine's day, after all - but when she handed him over the glass she told him, "It's your reg, just everything's colored red and pink tonight. You could take off the glamour but it'd do you well to be a little festive."

Well he wasn't even wearing a mask, was he? If he stayed a little longer she might have to remedy that.

She didn't scold him yet though; his greeting, as usual, made her smile. What? She was a girl; she liked it being noticed. She danced because she loved the attention; this was no different. No different other than the fact that she genuinely liked Carlos, and wasn't just acting for him.

As the introductions went underway, Athena leaned on the bar counter and laughed. A demigod; her bad. She still thought his photography was beautiful art.

"You have a Valentine yet, honey?" She then asked Carlos, arching an eyebrow at Hunter to ask if he wanted something to drink as well.
