Valentine's Day Ball; <3

Clay Myers

When he felt her lips against his, Clay smirked as his hand traveled up her back, pressing her firmly against him. "I believe I would like to know as well." He commented as his hand fell from her back as he lead her across the dance floor. Clay walked passed Jem as he doubted she even noticed his presence for she seemd rather preoccupied. He then dragged Lexi toward a nearby corner, away from onlookers. "So where were we?" He questioned as he pulled her closer.

His night was definitely turning out amusing, it beat staying indoors all day. And it of course it beat the clubs he regularly went to, for those were indeed getting rather dull.

At that moment, Abi was ignoring her guilt, chalking it up to the fact that this year for Valentine's day, she and Lynx had scurried out the door for a party, leaving their husbands behind to babysit the kids. Somehow the romantic holiday had become Girls-Night-Out and Guys-Night-In. It made her laugh.

Plus, it wasn't like they didn't have plans for later that evening. Sometimes when it was "making up for"...

Hmmm.

She entered the room with a grin firmly in place over what she was imagining. What? It was Valentine's Day after all. Lynx was beside her in a predictable (and incredibly gorgeous) blue gown, and Abi herself was in red. The deep scarlet was one of her old Christmas gowns, fitting a little more snug than she'd have liked embroidered in deep gold up the bodice. Turning to Lynx first, she said with the grin in place,

"Well, Ms. Evil Lynx, seeing as how this has to be one of your favorite holidays, see any victims?"

Jemma Myers

"Oh really, where were you at originally?" She asked, rather intrigued to know she wasn't the only person to stumble back to London. "London is rather dull at times, but other times it can be intriguing. Or you can always make it intriguing." Jemma said with a grin. That was what she was doing currently, with her little scheme against Cullen and Tallis. Without that, she was sure she would have died from boredom right now. As to his comment, she simply shrugged. Everyone had their secrets and she wasn't going to be nosy and question him about it.

"I'm like you, barely interesting at all." Jemma mimicked with a smirk. Just like him, she didn't have much to tell about herself. She of course could shower him with her life story, but she might bored him to death. Lovely way to kill someone. And beside, she barely knew this guy to suddenly tell him about her life. "I had practically went touring around England for a while. That's probably the most interesting part of my life, otherwise it's rather dull sadly. And I think I underestimated you Zorro, I thought you would have least killed me on the dance floor by now."

"Kerrighan Hannon." She said to the gentleman who joined them before turn back to Ama and Kerri smiled sweetly. "Well at least my body of work preceeds me. Nice to meet you all." She laughed. "Anyways, I just merely wanted to point out that your dress seemed a little closer to the waitress outfits that look like they are from the children's department, than to the formal attire requested... Anyways, have a good night." As she replied, her smile changed from sweet, to her usual smile, the one that showed she was planning something good.

She grabbed her glass of wine back up from the bar and walked off into the room

Kylar was currently transfixed at the lightings, therefore, when Arya dragged him away he was rather surprised. He didn't even know who this person was, but he followed willing. It was at least something to do. At first he thought it was Mist but then he recalled what he had seen her wore earlier. Ky then smiled at her comment. "I wasn't going to say I couldn't dance." Truth was, yes he didn't really know how to dance but he did know a few moves. If he was lucky, they would come in handy.

As they reached the dancefloor, he lightly spun her around before facing her. "So was going up to a random stranger and asking him to dance your original plan?" He asked with a slight grin

Arya laughed, not sure that he was telling the truth or not, but he had a nice smile, so she took that and the fact that he didn't freak out on her for pulling him away from staring at the ceiling in the corner. She justified interrupting whatever he was doing by saying to herself that he was bored and maybe this would help him as well.

"Okay, sure." She nodded, and then spoke again, "Nice tux, by the way." Tailored and new looking? She wasn't going to assess it that well, but she had a feeling of a similarity they shared right off the bat.

As for his question she smiled and shrugged, "I didn't come prepared, therefore I had to think fast. You're the willing helper, I suppose, seeing as how you haven't run." She roped her arms around his neck and looked at him, "What was your plan?"

"Oh, stop moaning," Sophie found herself chastising her older sister as they handed over their coats and she actually had to drag Amanda into the club. Sophie's young eyes had instantly lit up, at the decor, all the people dressed up, the masks... everything.

"You know I love veg-ing out in front of a film with you at the weekend but tonight, we're properly celebrating my graduation and both being single together on valentines day." Sophie lovingly adjusted the hem of her little black dress, her mask sitting securely on her nose, feathers waving high.

When Amanda suggested they head for the bar, she nodded. Real alcohol legally, as an adult. This was just brilliant! "Oh, I'll have a white wine," she piped up, sure her sister would pay. While they waited for their drinks, Sophie heard a male voice along the bar - her was looking or rather addressing them. Her sister to be specific. Sophie gave her a hefty nudge of her elbow. "Oi! He's talking to you. Be nice..." Sophie took her white wine and turned away from the bar and her sister with a small grin, moving to hover on the edge of the dance floor. Her sister needed to get out more... meet new people.

Yes, this party was definitely getting more fun by the moment. Jemma wasn't paying attention, but Lexi didn't care anymore. Clay was her amusement that moment, and he was freaking awesome amusement at that. She was supposed to be having fun, and she so was. More fun than she'd had in a while.

Lexi smirked a little as Clay led her toward a corner. The night just kept getting better and she was definitely getting what she wanted. And he just kept proving how awesome he was, and causing even more amusement. Sure, the people at Lycaeus would probably kill her for it because they were overprotective jerks, but she didn't quite care at that moment. When he made the comment on where they were, her smirk widened as she pulled him a little closer. "Right here," she said, her lips meeting his again. Oh yes. It'd be a fun night.

Her sister ordered the white white and Amanda ordered the red, tapping her fingers impatiently on the bar as she waited for their drinks to be poured. She was humming quietly to whatever tune was playing.

When she felt a sharp nudge in her side, she shot her little sister a glare. She'd heard the question but hadnt thought it addressed to her. Usually her steely expression keep people at bay. "I know.." She hissed at her. "Wait! Ugh... traitor!" Her sister had taken her own drink and disappeared into the crowd, leaving her with the man who'd addressed her.

Sighing, Amanda took a sip of her drink and turned to regard the man with a raised eyesbrow. "Well, the wine is good." She gave by way of answer. "I don't much do social gatherings. I'm not used to them. I'd rather be at home. You?" Amanda didn't give her name, just yet. Men didnt tend to stick around long.

Kylar placed his hands on her waist as he glanced down at her, "Would you like me to run away? Cause that could clearly be arranged." He smiled. As for the tux, "Thanks. I look ridiculous in one though, it's not really my thing." Truth be told, he haven't been to many formal events, so to be in a tux was just awkward for him.

As for what was his plan, he shrugged. "Mostly standing there, waiting for someone to come and rescue me from the boredom. That or go get something to drink." It was a rather boring plan, but hey at least it was plan. "So do I get the pleasure of knowing your name?" He questioned. "Or shall that remain a secret among the whole masquerade theme?" Usually that was the ideal plan, to keep one's identity a secret until the end of the night. But either way, a name wouldn't hurt. He doubted he would even know her to begin with; he knew rather a few people at London to begin with.

Jayden Bentley

Jayden smiled at her and nodded in agreement. That was one thing they had in mutal apparantly, except for the fact that he prefered firewhiskey over any other alcohol. He wasn't quite fond of wine. "That makes two of us." Jay said. He haven't done much social gatherings since his teen years. "My friend forced me to come here, so here I am. She kind of vanished though, so my only company is the alcohol and you. Unless you decide to vanish as well." He joked, before inquiring. "So what brings you here anywhere?"

He noted that the other girl who accompanied Amanda had already left. "Your friend dragged you here as well?"

Well, this was quite possibly Emma's last night out for a long while, what with baby two due in only a month. This was her chance to get out and have some fun with her friends and relax. The club was decorated beautifully, very festive for the valentine's holiday.

Emma rested her hands over her large bump of a stomach, fingers trailing over the beautiful material of the dress she was wearing - the same one that Leslie had bought her for Christmas. The maskshe'd chosen was simple with a single plume, but she was sure the mask would annoy her by the end of the evening and be taken off.

Tonight, she was here solo. Kevin was watching over Katie but that didn't mean to say that when she got home later, they wouldnt have their own Valentine's celebrations. Catching sight of Abi and Lynx across the room, Emma made a quick detour to order herself a lemondade, before making her way over. "We'll this is certainly quite the evening. How're you two?"

The corners of her mouth twitched ever so slightly as the guy spoke, their situations fairly similar. "I was forced here against my will as well. Usually we have other plans at the weekend but my sister," she nodded in the direction Sophie had gone, "recently graduated and wanted to do something different."

He didn't seeeem to be hitting on her, at least not like many guys tended to, on the rare occassions she was out. "I guess I might stay a bit. Providing there's alcohol or food," she nodded to the refreshments table. "I'm Amanda."

Dante followed after Anna, but he wasn't even sure what he wanted. He knew names of drinks but it didn't really matter.

"I...don't even know. You pick?"

He figured Anna could make a good pick and he didn't really care either way anyways. As he looked at the room he saw it was starting to fill up and people in their masks were becoming more and more undistinguished. The whole theme was definitely starting to live up to its name.

Arm around Leslie's waist, Gabe led her into the club, eyes taking in the scene. Perhaps a little cliche, valentine'd for his liking (but then he was a guy). The women no doubt loved it and really it wasn't too bad. The music was great, there was a certain ambiance to the room and there was a bar and food. What more could you want?

He gave her waist a squeeze, leading her to the bar. "Might I say yet again, that you look absolutely stunning, Love." Gabe leant down to kiss his wife. "Now, what can I get you?" He adjusted his maskinto place. It was already annoying him.

Alejandro Cisinerros
Cisinerros #1
While some people thrived in these type of 'blind dates' so to speak, Alejandro was actually at quite a bit of a disadvantage. He acknowledge to himself and to some people that he was probably a bit too materialistic and superficial for his own good. Due to that fact alone, his ability to concentrate on a particular person would be deterred. Even still, he could tell that the woman that he was now facing directly was in no way lacking in looks, despite the commonplace mask adorning her face. So he was happy to delve in to the occasion afterwards.

Realizing he hadn't given his name, he held out his hand and merely stated, "Alejandro," inclining his head curtly for a moment with a grin as he listened to the woman ask a question of her own. Alejandro mused over what he would say with an amused quirk on his lips before stating out, "Well, see, now that depends on your answer to my next question." He grinned sincerely as he held out his hand again, this time palm face up and asked, "Would you like to dance?"

After all, the dance floor was practically empty and he preferred to get this lovely woman away from the confinement of a table.

Paolo Costa

Paolo took the firewhiskey from the very attractive female bartender with a quick grin, following her movement with his eyes as she traveled up and down behind the bar while she served the other party goers. Paolo briefly wondered whether employees could be removed from their post temporarily. But, he decided that first he would check out who was actually arriving alone in the party. He thought that it was going to be just a handful of women, seeing as how this was a valentine's day centered event but he was mildly shock, and utterly pleased, to find that more than quite a few women had come without a male escort.

Thank Merlin for female independence.

Taking a long sip from his firewhiskey, he sighed softly as the liquid made his throat burn, but already having quite a tolerance for it, it wasn't a problem at all. He turned his head to the side when he heard another voice address him; a man in a...quite an odd tux. "Hopefully not for very long," he commented, with a polite grin and shook his hand, "Paolo Costa, nice to meet you."

Amaris Tudor
SparkleUnicornFairy's Life Guru
Amaris waved at people passing by that were waving back, including Lucan and Evelynn, who were probably a bit less than excited at seeing Amaris in her natural habitat. She also shot Alejandro a quick wink as he passed by. She would have gone over and properly greeted him, but she could see that he was busy, or was planning to be busy. Besides, it wasn't like she didn't know where he lived.

And as usual, Amaris was thrilled to meet new people, especially amazingly dressed and gorgeous people, so as Amber introduced herself to them, Amaris gave her a quick grin and waved, "Nice to meet you." She was still careful so as to not reveal her name, due to the fact of the hounding press that was there. She didn't like the press. They had the tendency to be completely bias and manipulative. Taking your statement and twisting it not to report the truth, but to report the gossip and give people want they want to read. Pah, poppycock. "I love your mask, Amber." It was true, Amaris had quite a bit of fun shopping for a mask herself, she didn't know it could be so entertaining.

When Logan arrived, putting himself between her and Tina, she laughed as he kissed her cheek and playfully turned her head at the last second to kiss him quickly on the lips, "Hi, hun, you look absolutely dashing." He was honestly the sexiest nineteen year old she knew. And he was pretty cool to hang out with, awesomely fun as well.

Amaris gave Kerri a polite smile as she departed and then waited until she was far off into the room before sighing and saying, "Good riddance." She shook her head and turned her head slightly to order another shot of whatever they had given her before. With a smile she turned back to them, "Anyways, hi, Amber, my name is Amaris. Logan, this is Amber-Lynn, you can call her Amber and this is. . ." she motioned to the girl who had originally complimented her dress and smiled apolegitically, "Sorry, I didn't get your name."

Gabrielle was usually ever the social one. She flourished in situations such as these, and would make her rounds throughout the whole ballroom. She'd talk to every girl, dance with every guy, and probably leave with one at the end of the night. It wasn't often that she got to go out for an entire night, so when she did, she generally made the most of it. This time was no exception.

She extended her hand to take his, the tiniest of a smirk already apparent on her face. "Gabrielle," she introduced. Her smirk turned into a grin as he continued talking. "I would love to dance." She took his hand again as she stood from the table. Tonight... Tonight would be fun, she'd make sure of it.

Shayna wasn't disappointed to see the ignorant girl...Kerri?...walk away. The less distractions and the less annoying people, the better. She was always about simple conversations anyway, so the less people the better. But a gentleman had joined them, so there was one more. Boys, well, Shayna didn't mind. They could come and go as they please.

"Shayna. Shayna Brookes," she said, smiling. "Sorry, I'm not really good at introductions," she added, smiling to make up for the fact that she's socially inept. The first crucial years of friendship weren't there for Shayna because she was always at gymnastics. It takes over your life, completely controls everything you eat, drink, and do. But she got over it with seven brothers and sisters.

Shayna didn't really know anyone around, but that's because she couldn't recognize them. Maybe she might have, but there were masks, plus she didn't really know anyone anyway. So she stuck with...Amaris...and the new girl, Amber.
