Jayden Bentley

Mist forced him to come here, and yet so far she wasn't anywhere in sight. Jayden wasn't the type to come to these social gathering, but Mist insisted that she needed a night out and he gracefully volunteered to accompany her. He didn't blame her though, the whole ordeal with Rian was just stressful on her. Jayden probably needed a night out as well, for he was just adminstered out of Mungos a few days ago. He was still in slight pain but nothing that he couldn't handle.

Jayden checked his watch as he headed over the bar for something to drink and waited. He ordered a firewhiskey as he adjusted his mask. He didn't know why they even had to wear one to begin with, it was rather irriating and him in a suit? That was a rare sight.

Looking around the club, he attempted to spot anyone he recognized. He watched at two girls scurried over toward the bar, as he merely nodded. "Enjoying the party so far?" He asked one of them (Amanda), in attempt to make conversation.

Clay Myers

[*note: this happened after the whole Lycaeus & Den rp]

Clay entered the club with Jemma trailing behind him reluctantly. He had forced her to come and frankly she was being a pain. He knew she wasn't the social type but they needed to go explore London a bit, right? And beside, how lucky was it that they just came back and there's a party brewing already? "Cheer up love, you look gorgeous. Go have some fun for once." He smirked. Clay had told Blair to come but he doubt he would even show up. Blair was even worse than Jem, unfortunately.

Taking Jem's cloak, he hanged it up for her before glancing around the room, looking for anyone that caught his interest. It was rather hard though, since masks were required. Clay took out his mask as he placed it on. "Why couldn't you get me black?" He asked his sister as he laughed. And then he spotted Lexi? Or so he assumed it was her. "And I think this is my cue to leave." He said to Jem as he departed toward Lexi.

"Greetings. What is a gorgeous girl like yourself doing here all by yourself?" He inquired.

Lexi had yet to find anyone amusing and that was sort of suckish. She was getting bored, and that was just not cool at a party. She was supposed to be dancing or having fun or something. Not... being bored, that was just stupid. It was about the same time that she decided if she didn't find someone in the next few minutes that she was leaving, that someone walked up to her. She was pretty sure it was Clay, because... she didn't know anyone else that talked like that. And he was pretty awesome, so she was gonna take advantage of the fun opportunity.

"Waiting on a hot guy like you to come party with me," she said, grinning a little. "I didn't take you as the masquerade ball type. I bet you came just to hang out with me." She laughed. She was just joking, but, hey... like she'd said, he was awesome.

Jemma Myers

Jemma followed her brother into the club as she rolled her eyes. Why did she even allow him to drag her here? She could have been doing something so much more important. At his comment, she merely smiled. "My fun does not involve me being in a club with a bunch of losers in masks." She stated as she poked him. "Yes, I'm calling you a loser." She said at the look he gave her, before gazing toward the girl he pointed out. Jem couldn't exactly identify if that is Lexi or not but either way, she was probably a whore.

And this was why she doesn't go to social gatherings, she didn't like to socialize. "As long as you don't bring home another toy for the night, love." She smirked as she watched him depart. When Clay left her, Jem merely stood to the side as she watched the ongoing scene.

Clay Myers

She was able to recognize him as Clay smirked; guess he was that noticable then. As for being the masquerade type, "No not really. But it's a party afterall - alcohol, dancing, and obviously girls like you. How can I possibly refuse that offer?" He said before laughing at her comment. Him hot? Well it was a comment he was used to, but it was amusing whenever someone said it nonetheless.

Clay glanced at her, she definitely looked incredible tonight. As a new song began to blare in the background, he held out his hand, "Well let's get this party started then. Care to dance?" He was quite a dancer, something he had picked up from his endless partying years. It actually comes in handle, like right now for instant.

Lexi nodded in agreement. How could anyone pass that up? Especially with her there, because she was pretty awesome as well. And Clay's awesomeness was getting to her head a little. She figured that liking him wasn't going to get her any points in Lycaeus, since everyone seemed rather protective of him, and Jemma hated her enough already, but really? Lexi didn't care. She was there to have fun, not worry about what everyone was going to think of her or whatever. It didn't matter.

"Oh, very true," she said approvingly. "Passing that up would just be silly. And yes, I would love to dance." She didn't wait for Clay to start walking, instead grabbed him by his hand and gently pulled him off to the dance floor. "I apologize in advance if I step on your feet."

Clay Myers

He let her lead him toward the dance floor as he followed willingly. Clay was starting to take a liking to Lexi, maybe because she was new and quite unfamiliar to him. When they reached the floor, he swirled her before pulling her in closer, his hand instantly on her waist while the other was still grasping her hand. As for stepping on his feet, "Well maybe you should have told me beforehand so I could have wore steel shoes." He grinned.

"So how are you liking Lycaeus?" Clay asked as he lead them, noticing Jem who was eyeing them suspicious. He merely smiled at that as he recalled how Jem reacted when she first met Lexi. "Don't take it personally if Jem starts giving you a hard time. She's often like that."

Well, this ball thing was definitely starting to brighten up. She'd found her amusement for the night, and that was definitely a good thing. She doubted that she could remain bored with Clay around. She laughed as he swirled her around; yep, definitely going to be fun. At his joke, Lexi made a face at him. "Oh, please. I highly doubt steel shoes are necessary. I'm not that bad," she said, sticking her tongue out at him.

As for liking Lycaeus? "It's nice," she said, following Clay's glance to Jem and giving her a wave. "I mean, aside from the whole 'Lexi's the outsider, let's be all annoying' thing. Like with Jemma. What's her deal, anyway?" she asked, glancing over at her again for a moment. "It's kind of annoying, but really amusing at the same time...."

Amaris Tudor
SparkleUnicornFairy's Life Guru
Amaris had been about to listen to what Tina was going to say about that dance, which she wasn't taking no for an answer on, before someone came up to them and introduced them. Amaris had a smile on her lips, but that was before she heard the name. "Kerri Hannon, right?" she asked already knowing the answer seeing as how Franco had delivered the message relaying to Amaris that Kerri (woman who had written the article about pregnant aurors) wished her good luck on her pregnancy. Oh, the lovely hypocrisy. With an amused grin on her lips she took her hand and shook it, "How do you do?" she asked politely, making sure not to give her the name. No doubt, another article would be written. Maybe about scandalous trainees and their inability to protect wizarding society.

It wouldn't be half incorrect either but still.

Amaris looked down at her crossed legs, showing a fair amount of leg, but nothing completely alarming. "It's charmed so it won't ride up, but thank you for your concern." She smiled again, this time a little bit more naturally for someone else had joined them and Amaris preferred the newcomer's reaction to her attire a lot more. "Thank you! I think my sister bought it somewhere in Italy? I'm not sure, but I altered it so the sequins would be a bit more see through." Underestimation of course, but she knew that and she intended it to sound like that.

"It was a feat to get into this, but it's going to be a lot more enjoyable getting out of it." She smirked a bit in amusement before she put one of her arms around Tina's waist and pulled her towards her, "Isn't that right, mi dulce?"

Tina took another look around the room, it was pretty big she couldn't deny, and spotted just exactly Amaris would be trying to avoid the rest of the night. With a simple 'ah' she acknowledged the fact to Amaris and nodded her head to show her she understood and would be doing her very best to assist her in any way possible. At the mention of a girl on girl dance, however, Tina laughed and shook her head, about to respond with an equally as teasing answer, when another woman came up to them. Tina smiled and shook her hand before Amaris did, introducing herself with a simple, "I'm Tina."

Tina noticed Amaris less than subtle attitude towards the whole thing and didn't actually pick up on why until the last name was brought up. Now that was a little more understandable. She, personally, believed the auror department was pretty much useless lately but she would one never say that in front of her friend who did work there, and two she would never attack anyone personally about it. But hey, people worked to get money and money trumps...most things.

Tina laughed as Amaris explained the rest of her dress to another woman who had also joined them, smirking at how untrue it really was. Altered was not the correct word, more like completely dissected the ~censored~ing thing. It actually took a fair amount of skill.

Tina was, however, caught somewhat unawares as Amaris pulled her closer to her and tried her best not to laugh out loud, knowing fully well that the only reason Amaris was doing so was to both attract attention and get rid of unwanted ones. "That's private talk and you know it," Tina 'whispered' as she 'reprimanded' Amaris, deciding to play along. "You'll have to forgive her," Tina started as she raised her voice to address both Kerri and the other woman, while Amaris kissed her cheek for added emphasis, "She has no shame."

Dante was a bit surprised by the hug, but he smiled none the less and hugged Winnie back. Hearing her comment about being MIA, however,

"You climb? That's cool."

So he could to being wrong when it came to saying talking to people was difficult because it really wasn't if you just acted like yourself. Common sense. In response to drink he nodded in agreement, not seeing the point in wording it again since it had already been said.

Alejandro Cisinerros
Cisinerros #1
Alejandro was surprised at the invitation that was on his desk when he arrived back home. He knew neither of the party hostesses, although he would like to, of course, because he never passed up on the opportunity to meet women. Details started making a bit more sense once he read where the actual masquerade party was going to be held. Alejandro was briefly struck with a moment of elder brother pride for his younger siblings. Clearly, he had taught them well and were expanding their business. After all, he was the businessman of the family. Despite the illegal status of most, if not all, of his transactions.

Needless to say, his curiosity was getting the better of him so he donned a simple tux with a rather simple mask (he wasn't one to want to stand out) and headed towards the very familiar venue. Passing by the initial bar at the entrance of the dance club, he spotted Amaris, giving her a smirk and a small wave, but continued walking on; he would probably come back later.

As he got further in though, he spotted a woman sitting at a table, talking to another and headed over there. Addressing both of them, but more in particular the one wearing the short, blue dress (Gabsy :P) he spoke out, "Evening, ladies. Enjoying yourselves so far?" Of course, his half grin/half smirk was a permanent feature of his face so that was present as he spoke.

Gabrielle had been sitting at the table, sipping on her drink as she watched the ball with amusement. Some people were dancing, some were talking. Some were wearing almost scary dresses made of what looked like weird plastic - (Carlie:P) - and some just looked like whores. It was certainly interesting. And a little scary, but entertaining nonetheless.

When she and the other girl were approached by some guy, Gabrielle almost grinned. Well, the party was certainly looking up if guys were coming over. Talking to that one girl the whole time would have just been ridiculously boring. She might have just died of boredom. Or left. Or... went out and found a guy herself. Sitting just saved herself the effort.

"Evening," she responded, surveying him slightly. He was quite attractive, or looked like he would be if he didn't have a mask on. That was the one problem about masquerade balls; they were fun, very colorful, and just plain amusing, but you never knew who you were talking to. She wasn't even going to begin to go into the last one she attended. "I'm definitely starting to now... And you?"

Paolo Costa

Nothing stopped Paolo from enjoying a good party, absolutely nothing at all. And the added detail of being masked while meeting new people? That just made it all the more appealing. The unknown and mysterious sense would no doubt be fun to mess around with. What he was getting really annoyed by was the constant need to be appropriately formal. He neither had, nor could afford, clothing that would be considered formal. So he ended up wearing the same relatively nice shirt and pants he had worn for the party at that mansion. Hey, at least they were clean. The mask, however, he had to basically go into a costume shop and...ahem, steal one. He would give it back though.

His first stop though? Bar. He was actually delighted to find out that there were two bars in the club room so he went to the one deep inside, closest to the dance floor and ordered a firewhiskey to start. Then, the partying could begin.

Selena Decimus
Icy She-Wolf of the Netherlands
Selena nodded happily at their answers, "I agree, a little too....romantic for me." she said with a grin. She swears her romantic level is very low. "Although the place really is beautiful." she added as she took her new camera from a borrowed white purse from Evelynn, turned it on and adjusting a few things, and took a picture of the room. She looks at the couple who were shaking their heads but with a smile on their face. She took a quick picture of the two of them and she grinned back at them

Yes, even at a party she would still work but it's not a big of a surprise.

She looked back at Lucan and Evelynn and smiled, "Well, I'm gonna go explore for a while. You two have fun now!" she told them as she disappear from their eyes but not before she gave a wink at them. They deserve to spend time alone and now she's going to give them that time. She started to snap some pictures, she loved that her camera could work at dark places, and she sat down on a table while she went though the pictures and modifying them with the various buttons in her camera.

So maybe the way the last supposed party turned out should have been a hint that going to another wasn't a good idea. She had assumed it'd be fun but assumption wrong. Two times in a row? Doubtful. She wasn't one for dressing up though so when she came up with a dress, she dressed it up with her favorite leather jacket. She probably wouldn't keep it on for long but going with the simple dress? Not any fun. People that wanted to stand in the doorway though she squeezed right past; not one for patience as she headed for the bar. Forgetting about the mask she put it on quickly.

"Something strong. I don't care what. Thanks."

Drink in hand she was much more content being there.

Brad Davenport

All work and no play made Brad quite the dull boy. At least, that was what he decided when he had been in England for almost two weeks already and hadn't done a single social thing. His family had been having all the fun, honestly, and he was starting to resent the fact that they came overseas with him to "help him settle in" because at the moment he really was just envious. While he was holed up doing his preliminary research for his travel documentary, his parents, sister, brother-in-law and baby niece were off sightseeing, shopping and having fun.

Honestly. The life of a director was sometimes far more difficult than people would want to make it out to be.

So when Brad had seen the open invitation for a Valentine's Day ball being hosted when he took a rare break to explore the famed Diagon Alley, he decided that he probably should go. It was fun, social, and it would get him out and his mind off of everything on the "most romantic day of the year." It was odd because he always had a date on Valentine's Day. Even if it was a guy he never planned on calling again, he still didn't want to spend it alone.

This year, however, there hadn't even been time for him to just pick up some random guy at a bar. He was flying solo, but he was determined not to leave without someone on his arm. After all, with an open invitation, surely there would be other singles there. Dressed in a tuxthat he was quite positive he looked good in, paired with a black mask edged in silver, he figured he wouldn't have too much trouble finding a date. After all, confidence was key, and if there was one thing Brad had never lacked, it was confidence.

Spotting someone who looked quite nice but a bit dressed down for the occasion (and, most importantly, alone), Brad headed to him first. He liked the fact that he was more dressed down than a lot of the other men there. It made him stand out from the crowd and not in a bad way at all. He was sitting at the bar, the perfect place for striking up conversation, so he went and took a seat next to him.

He sat down, ordering first--a margarita was the perfect way to start the evening--and then turned to the guy. "So, you here alone too?" he asked before extending his hand. "Brad Davenport."

Em grinned at Kiera; she was amusing. Trying to stay as sober as possible? At a party? It hardly made sense to her. Em wasn't going to put boundaries on anything - she was just going to have fun. No, she didn't need to go home completely wasted, but hey, it wasn't like she'd get yelled at... unless it was by Jake, but hey, the fact that Jake wasn't there right now was what was allowing her to have her fun. If he was there? She wouldn't be drinking. At all.

"Hey, don't be worrying about break ups or anything like that," she said, rolling her eyes. "You're here to have fun, right? So have fun! Don't worry about anything. Just... have fun."

She grinned as she started practically bouncing. She'd randomly become hyper, because that happened quite often. Maybe it was just the fact that she was there at a party of amusement, but hey, it was still fun. She enjoyed fun. And she sort of wanted to dance. Her eyes scanned the party, a tiny frown on her face.

"We should find people to dance with."

Sometimes he doesn’t understand his sister. Especially her mood changes that have been happen lately. Maybe it's because she's starting to loosen up. Maybe it's a women thing that he doesn't understand. But whatever the reason is, he actually liked her care free. It reminded him of when they were younger.

He watched Selena's figure disappear in the crowd and he couldn't help but to grin. She couldn't stay at one place for long anyways. He turned his head to his beautiful girlfriend and said “You would think I would know how she thinks since we're related." He then turned his attention to two familiar women talking to two others. He shook his head at the actions his two best friends were making. He is letting them lose for tonight but he’s going to regret it.

Evelynn waved when Selena left them to be alone. She understood why she left so quickly and she silently thanked her in her head. She didn't mind Selena's company, they are actually starting to be best friends but Selena told her about that she feels like she's being clingy but she can't blame her if Evelynn herself feels like that sometimes. But she was looking forward spending the evening with her hot werewolf boyfriend. Evelynn grinned when Lucan said that he didn't understand her. "That's because it's a girl's thing. You wouldn't understand." she told him as she patted his cheek softly and pecked him on the lips.

She notices that Lucan had his attention on something and tried to find what he saw. Sometimes it's unfair that he had heightened senses. She finally made out, with her normal eye sight, that it was Ama and Tina. She waved at the happily even if they didn't see her. There were other girls with them and saw that Ama and Tina were pretty close. "What do think they're doing?" she asked him as she looked back at Lucan with a smile.[/I][/I]
