![]() Mateo, the more controlled and serious of the twins, also likes to be very comfortable, and he thinks the office suits him perfectly. It is kept in an orderly manner, but he does have a couple of odd things strewn about the place such as a Quidditch quaffle, countless pictures of his family members, and. . .yes, that is a mini-karaoke machine in the corner. |

Hunter was directed to Mateo Cisinerros' office by the receptionist, Linda he believed her name was. He couldn't believe his good fortune at getting asked for an interview so early into his stay in England. Of course, he had enough money to get him by for a few weeks (considerably less so when he put a payment on a small-but-already-furnished flat and bought groceries), but he still needed work. He wasn't the type to really put too much effort on "setting things up", so his strategy was to wing it, basically. He had been at a club enjoying himself and trying to find a manager to see if they were looking for help when he had been approached by Miguel Cisinerros who had invited him for a job interview. At first, Hunter had been wary because he was far more used to the non-magical club scene, and secondly, random invitations from people at bars generally didn't bode well. But this, luckily, had turned out to be legit, and he might actually get a job. He was dressing the part--at least, he hoped he was--in black jeans, boots, an elaborately-designed concert t-shirt, and a blazer just to dress it up a little. Jewelry on, hair styled, makeup done... He could be confident with his looks, but he needed to actually get the job, which relied a lot on personality. That he was hoping to prove right then. When he arrived at the correct office door, it was open, so he stepped inside only to be faced with a very attractive man. Of course, he'd heard the owners were twins, so he knew this was Mateo, not the brother he'd previously met, but he still had to consciously remind himself that it wasn't Miguel. Smile in place, he introduced himself. "Hi, I'm Hunter Cameron; I'm here for a job interview?" |

Mateo wasn't a natural-born business man; that was a fact that he was trying to hide, sometimes even from himself. Part of the reason why he sometimes refused help from either Alejandro or Franco was because he needed to prove himself able to do this. Right at this moment though, he was ready to be done. There were scheduling conflicts, two of the employees had been quarreling and he needed to end that immediately, and another one wanted an advance in their paycheck for 'personal reasons'. It was all very tiring and yet he didn't spend too much time on it, he was still in a cheery mood. Mateo was aware that he would be holding an interview soon, having already discussed it with Miguel. Hunter Cameron was his name, a strong name he had to admit. And according to Miguel, was attractive and had some sort of x-quality that would benefit them. Mateo, however, knowing his twin brother so well, didn't pay him much attention; Miguel had a thousand and one lines for him. Yet he couldn't deny, Miguel had an eye for potential employees. Mateo had done a routine background check, check to make sure he wasn't a homicidal maniac or something of the like; he couldn't find anything horribly wrong. Mateo looked up when a man entered the room and stood up to receive him; he had to hand it to Miguel, Hunter was very good looking. With his usual radiant grin (he tried to contain it sometimes, it never worked, he had eventually stopped trying as hard) he held out his hand to shake it. "Nice to meet you, my name is Mateo Cisinerros; I've been expecting you, please sit down." He motioned to the seats in front of his desk, sitting down in his own chair. He took one last glance at the files in front of him before looking back up with a smile, and clapping his hands together once before speaking, "So, if you don't mind, I'd like to start by explaining what the actual position entitles, seeing as how I think my brother was probably a bit unhelpful in that area, afterwards I'll just ask you some questions, get to know you a little bit better and after that, we'll see where we go." After all, they weren't some sort of advertising or rocket-ship building company. The scene could be less formal than most, and he also didn't place too much weight on the resume, references and such, he didn't even really require it. |

Hunter shook Mateo's hand, making sure to present a firm grip, and took the seat when it was offered. Hunter nodded to the comments. "I'd love to know some more about what the job entails," he said. "I was told it at least involved bartending..." He figured he would let Mateo explain the specifics of the job because he hadn't been told a whole lot when he was approached for the interview. He wasn't even sure what he was exactly doing to be offered the interview in the first place. He had just been out at a club, drinking, dancing and having a good time. He liked the way the interview process sounded. It didn't sound too formal, and he was really getting some good vibes from both of the twins, although he had only met each one briefly. Still, there was nothing quite like a solid first impression. Besides: Hunter could think of way worse things in life than working at a night club owned by really hot twins. |

Mateo grinned a bit in small amusement, "Yes, it does. Bar tending among other things." Leave it to Miguel to be completely vague about the whole ordeal. Sometimes, Mateo wondered how people even showed up for the interview in the first place with how sketchy it could appear. Mateo attributed most of that reason for his dashing good looks and since Miguel was his twin brother, naturally the same applied. "Basically most of our employees with the exception the kitchen staff, are required to periodically switch positions. We call it an 'all-around', a jack of all trades, if you will." Mateo began to explain, which honestly never got tiring. He hadn't heard of an establishment yet that did the same thing so he was naturally proud of his idea. Leaning slightly more forward in his chair, he held up his hand and counted them off, "Bartender, bar server, restaurant server, and restaurant host with performing being a bonus. In someone is interested in performing, an initial audition is held. If the position is given, the employee has creative license from then on." And the audition process was always fun to judge. Whether it went horribly or not. "If training is necessary for any of the normal positions, we provide it. Every new employee is assigned a mentor for the first two weeks to show them the ropes, and what not. We feel that if the employees are enjoying their work and having fun, then our patrons will have fun. Which is why we cut off the monotony of a redundant position." Heaven knows how tiring it was for him to work as a waiter over and over again. "Any questions or comments so far before I ask you a couple of questions?" he asked with a grin. He oh so did enjoy questions, and especially comments of how amazing he was because it was the mere truth. |

Hunter was intrigued by the concept they had for their employees. Everyone did everything...except cook, which he was extremely grateful for because it was just not in his skill set. "Well I can definitely handle any of those jobs," Hunter commented upon hearing the list. He'd done the "starving artist" cliche in LA: he'd worked in restarants, bars, clubs... It was even a little cliche, but he had still done it. "I like the way you run the place," he remarked. "It definitely doesn't seem like anyone would get bored, and I happen to agree that if the staff is having fun, so will the patrons." When Mateo asked if he had any questions, he said, "Just one: I would love to perform, so if this interview goes well, could I set up a time for an audition?" |

Confidence, that was a must for any one who wanted to work at their club. He could only imagine someone with a shy disposition trying to work here. Poor things would probably be scarred and overwhelmed at the end of the week, bless them. But Hunter, however, seemed to exude a lot of confidence and had already commented that he could handle the work. Mateo made a quick note on the file to remember that; that would save them some money and a lot of time. "Great," was his comment to Hunter, before he continued on explaining. And as expected, positive comments about their club were coming in. Of course they were, what's not to like? Then again, people don't tend to bash or criticize their possible place of employment in an interview so that was also an explanation. As much as Mateo took personal comments and compliments a bit differently, he grinned and nodded once curtly answering with a small "Thank you." Ah, a performer. That would actually work perfectly if he was actually good at it, because they were attempting to fill the position of an employee who used to perform. So far, this interview was working out pretty well for Hunter. Miguel nodded and responded, "Of course, absolutely." And now time for the questions, which really, Hunter seemed to be answering all on his own without needing to be asked. "So, Hunter, if I were to give you a crayon and a piece of paper and ask you to draw your dream job, what would it look like? Also, which color crayon would you pick?" Hey, it wasn't a normal job, him and Mateo weren't normal people, and this wasn't a normal interview. Why should the questions be any different? |

The question was certainly not one Hunter had ever been asked before in a job interview. Crayons... he would have to think about that. He liked crayons. But then, who didn't like crayons? He had to think about how he would describe his ideal job first, and then he would just pick the colors that corresponded with it. "I don't think I could pick just one color," he said honestly. "But if I absolutely had to, I would pick gold because it corresponds with things like success, career growth, riches, advancement, fun, the sun, promotion, achievement...And all of those sound like good job qualities to me." He paused for a moment before adding with a grin, "And it's glittery. And you can almost never go wrong with glitter." As for what he would draw? That was a different question all together. "I don't think I can tell you what I would draw, because I wouldn't know till I had the crayon to the paper: that's just how I live my life. I don't plan things for my career. I would love success in the fashion world, so there would almost certainly be a sketch of a runway or an outfit of some kind, but other than that? I really don't know. I don't know what I want my dream job to be till I have it. I like to see where life takes me, and right now it's taking me here. I like it here, and I'd like to work here." |

Mateo listened in light amusement at the first sentence of Hunter's answer. Usually, indecisiveness wasn't something that you would want to show immediately in an interview but he would make no mental judgments on that until further on; see if he explained himself. If not, he would ask directly about it. But so far, he was liking the reasons for picking gold, quietly chuckling at the 'glittery' comment. Mateo was trying to remain unbiased and actually listen to the explanation because he loved the color gold. So either this guy was a strange stalker and Mateo hadn't picked up on it, or Hunter was having a very good interview day. It could also mean he was genuinely pretty good for the club like Miguel had said but...that would involve Miguel being right. The fact that Hunter was some sort of artist had escaped his grasp before but now Mateo could see that he did have an artistic and creative eye. Success in the fashion world he had said? The color indecisiveness was now making more sense. His answer was also showing that he wasn't very narrow-minded and that he was open to suggestions and new experiences. Although not entirely too goal oriented yet. "Which brings me to my next question," he started shortly after Hunter finished his last sentence, "Why do you think you'd make a valuable addition to our staff?" |

Hunter grinned. This question should be pretty easy. He wasn't overly cocky, but at the same time, he was confident in his abilities. "Well, I'd be a good addition here for a lot of reasons," he said. "The first of which being that I am very friendly and sociable. I can get along with all different types of people, and I'm good at making conversation with everyone. I'm also very good at multi-tasking, which certainly comes in handy when talking to everyone at the bar, remembering what drinks they had, serving the people who come back from the dance floor, remembering what people ordered, carrying on multiple conversations...that sort of thing," he said. "I'm reliable: I don't take many days off of work, and if I do, they're few and far between, and they're always with very good reason." He wasn't the type to ever shy away from a good day's work because, although he had never been overly concerned with where his next job would be, he never took the jobs he did get lightly. "I'm also very loyal, and I'll back the owners and managers of anywhere I work 100 percent of the time. I like doing a lot of different things, so your employment structure with doing all different jobs is actually a perfect fit for me. I like keeping the peace, so I'm not going to be the one starting any fights, and I've actually been known to diffuse a few arguments before they got into out-of-control bar fights," he added. He wasn't physically very bulky and didn't have a whole lot of muscle, but he'd learned more than a few good keeping-the-peace skills from his other jobs. "And I'm creative, so I can give you as much or as little creative input on things as you want, and I'm always willing to help with whatever needs to be done there. Fashion designing is my main career goal, but I've also done interior decorating." It was really a good thing he didn't mind talking himself up because he knew that was what he had to do to get the job, and he wanted to put his best foot forward, hopefully without sounding too cocky. "And one more thing: I'll be the most honest employee you've ever had." And that, he could say with truth. "Literally: I actually cannot tell a lie, which is honestly the reason I'm in England and looking for work. I'm trying to find someone to help me out with an antidote to a potion I was given that's sort of... I guess the best way to describe it is like permanent Veritaserum in the way that I'm unable to tell lies, although I can stop myself from talking, which is the only way you won't get the truth out of me. So you can rest assured that everything I just told you is completely true, and I really don't think you'll have any regrets in hiring me." |

Mateo, of course, listened intently and took in every detail that he could when Hunter started speaking. He enjoyed when the interviewees were chatty. It obviously showed good social skills, an ability to carry yourself well in conversation especially if they tended to avoid phrases (more like sounds) such as 'err' and 'umm', and it also demonstrated an eagerness to work, a simple dedication to the job or basically being good enough to wing it. In Mateo's mind, it didn't matter which one of them it was, all of them provided substantial talent and merit when it came to working, as far as he was concerned. He also appreciated the attention paid to detail; how Hunter was already mapping out the course of how a usual night would be like, and that only supported his previous statement of being experienced and able to handle the job. It seemed the more time that went on, the more he was starting to really like Hunter; he definitely had an incredible potential apart from being really good looking. Nodding at the appropriate times, especially with things he agreed with immensely such as reliability, Mateo simply sat quiet for a couple of seconds, quickly deliberating the options, taking in account all the information provided, figuring it out what his gut was telling him to do -something that he consequently paid a lot of attention to- before he sat back in his chair, looking curiously at Hunter as he explained his oddity. Holding back his innate curiosity, Mateo once again focused on the task at hand. And, in all honesty, his mind was pretty much made up already. "I only have one more question then." That was the beginning of Miguel's cue. He had been hearing the interview, watching it actually, from the neighboring room and if he approved, he would do so now, after he asked his question. "Would you like anything to dr-" Well of course he would be interrupted. |

Miguel had been quite boringly listening the interview and watching the interview through a hidden camera. Complete and total violation of privacy? Maybe, but he didn't really care. The interviewing process was crucial, needed to be taken with the utmost of care and dedication and yadda, yadda, yadda; Miguel had dozed off into deep slumber as soon as Mateo has started talking about such things. When it came down to business, him and Mateo were absolutely different, up to the point where it was kind of annoying and not really helpful at all. Yet, as soon as they were out of their club, just having a good time, they both adopted the care-free and fun-loving style that was oh so common of them. Nevertheless, he still loved his job. After all, there he was, sitting back on a couch, drinking a glass of water while he watched the interview. Man, was he good at picking out hot people or what? Yep, Miguel was quite proud of his rare find. Plus, he was American, and that always added an extra bit of global unity to the appearance of the club and what not. Whatever, point was Hunter was hot, he was charming, and he could dance rather well. Seeing him in the actual interview however made it clear that Miguel did not do him justice. He was also incredibly pleased that Hunter was appealing to his brother; in a business way, of course. Although he wouldn't blame him for drifting off business every now and again. Miguel knew that he himself would never be able to control himself indefinitely. When it was time to decide whether or not Miguel approved and wanted to hire him (after all, Mateo wanted to hire him as well otherwise he would have never offered up the drink), Miguel didn't think twice about it as he grabbed the tray of drinks and exited through the door at the side to enter Mateo's office. Ignoring the fact that his brother was mid-sentence, he offered the drinks, "We have coffee, tea, water, soda, juice and anything else that a new employee could possibly want." He grinned his common grin as he offered up the tray, waiting for Hunter to catch on; Miguel did tend to speak fairly quickly when he was excited and after all, he had just said Hunter had gotten the job. Granted, in a completely odd and unconventional way but that was the point, of course. |

Despite being confident, Hunter couldn't help but be a little bit nervous as he awaited Mateo's answer. He seemed to be contemplating it, and despite having had what he thought was a pretty good interview, it still could go either way. But then Miguel came in, and Hunter grinned up at him, though it took him a moment to realize that yes, he had gotten the job. He liked the way they did their interview system, and he was most certainly more than pleased with the fact that his interview had gone so well. "I'll take some water, thanks," he replied. "So when do I start? And when can I set up my performance audition?" He didn't want to be annoying or anything, but he was really just eager to get started. Besides, it wouldn't hurt having a paycheck considering the grocery budget was quickly diminishing thanks to how expensive moving across the Atlantic was. It also helped that Hunter really liked the twins and wanted to start work. The job sounded amazing, and he loved the fact that he could go to work, have lots of fun and still be doing his job well. |

Miguel handed Hunter the water bottle with a grin, afterwards making the tray levitate to the room he had just exited from. Sitting down on the edge of the desk, he listened to Hunter's questions. Turning to Mateo for confirmation, no words need be exchanged, Mateo nodded and Miguel turned back to Hunter and replied with the same grin, "As soon as possible, preferably tomorrow since we rented out the club for a Valentine's day ball. We'll assign you to one of our veteran employees," He held out his hand behind him as Mateo placed the chart in his hand, before opening it and looking through it, "Hmm, I think you and the Goddess would get along well." Of course it was only a few moments later that he looked up from the charts with a grin upon remembering that Hunter wouldn't know who that was after all and that was certainly not a way to refer to someone the first time meeting them. Well, not unless you were him. "Athena Stryker," he added, before closing the folder and dropping it on the desk. As for the appointment, well, "Linda, could you bring the date book, please?" he called out to their secretary/guide/receptionist/life savior/ex sister-in-law. It only took a couple of spare moments for Linda to come in, giving Hunter a small greeting and give Mateo the date-book. Mateo looked through it quickly, seeing as how he already had a basic idea of what times were available before he said behind him, "How's Monday at 1:00 p.m. sound?" |

"I'm definitely available to start tomorrow," Hunter said. "I'm looking forward to it." He was glad to hear that they wanted him to start so soon, because the sooner he started the sooner he could get paid. "Well, then, I can't wait to meet 'the Goddess.'" She certainly sounded interesting, and he tended to get along with most women pretty well. He wasn't sure what it was about gay men that women seemed to love so much, but he found himself having always gotten along with the opposite sex really well. "Monday at 1 pm sounds great. I'll see you then for the audition and hopefully sooner than that during work hours," he said with a grin. After shaking both of their hands and signing an employee contract as well as some payroll forms, he headed out. |
