Set far back in the mountains and around a lake, lays a temple specifically set aside for Wizarding ceremonies. The wards on the place make it impossible for muggles to awkwardly stumble across it, as well as protect it from unwanted intrusions of the Wizarding kind. The highest floor has been set for a reception, dripping diamonds as a theme. Atop the tables lay five point lilies, their white and pink petals delicately arrange so as not to land on the porcelain. There stand in the corners, magically blooming cherry blossom trees, dancing to a non-existent wind, and in a somewhat languid fashion dropping a few petals themselves as ambiance. Floating candles around the tables provide the only light needed beyond the spectacularly white shining in through the windows as sunlight reflects off the rolling snow banks, and glistening lake. A dance floor in the center takes up the majority of the room, and an open bar on the right wall has been fully stocked (and looked over, by Parker Faye). The chairs are gilded gold, and origami lights decorate the walls after night, where a band also stands ready to play (or perhaps better classified as a miniature orchestra).

The ceremony itself is settled on the bottom 'floor'- the majority of which sits outside. Washed throughout with heating spells, the brisk chill is kept at bay, while the snow and cherry blossoms stand alike. The alter is fashioned from the cherry blossoms, and painted gold. A grand staircase from the second floor (where all the brides rooms are situated) opens out into the snow, and leads directly down the aisle. An organ stands beside the grand staircase, awaiting the brides march.

Scooting her hair back, Abi had spent several minutes just staring at herself in the mirror. This felt bizarre. She had her usual amount of make-up on, but learning how to do it for a completely different complexion in two-hours-or-less was just an odd sort of pressure. The polyjuice lay in her purse, and thus far she didn't believe anyone else knew who she was, or why she was Tiger's bridesmaid. Adding a dash of blush, she got up, fixing the gown and hurrying out the door. Down the flight of stairs, she knocked on the door for the groom.

Hearing Ryan's, "Come in," made a thrill run up her spine, and a small smile turned up her lips. Being at that wedding was surreal, for Abi. She hadn't ever expected to actually go. She had expected fights and tears and heartbreak, all of which she would have wanted to let go of for this happy occasion. When Ryan had informed her via her necklace of his upcoming nuptials (although neither time nor location), she had said her congratulations there.

She hadn't expected to actually come.

Letting herself in, the gown sashayed against the ground and she giggled lifting it up. She shut the door behind her, smiling in surprise. Ryan's tie was around his neck, his jacket on a nearby chair. He had evidently opted for a gray-silk shirt beneath the tuxedo, and he appeared neither calm, nor upset. Immediately, tears flew to her eyes, her mouth half open and she pressed her lids against each other tightly. She couldn't cry. She had just finished her make-up. Beyond that, Ryan didn't even know who he was. That was evident enough by his blink.

"Hi." Abi's smile was luminous, but the greeting was awkward. For one thing, how did she explain? And for another...her french was not the best. Fidgeting with the beads on her bodice for a moment, she moved forward and said slowly. "I'm...Jeanette. Tiger's other bridesmaid. A friend from...home."

There was no look of recognition, but Ryan's ears perked up slightly and he tilted his head about to say something, before she continued, "You don't recognize me. And you...shouldn't, you shouldn't."

Damn't there were tears in her eyes at that point as she shifted for her clutch, bringing up the vial of polyjuice potion for his viewing.

"Ry." Her voice cracked. "Jeanette Isabella. As in the christmas carol. It's me. It's--"

Where were the nerves?

Ryan had waited for them to attack all day. He had paced, worried, thought over the particulars multiple times. He was rubbish at the wedding planning stuff; He'd sat, then stood, then sat again. Every muscle in his body was tense, his heart prone to odd fluctuations. He was waiting for his palms to start sweating, waiting for the inevitable yearn to back out or get out. That was what was supposed to happen, right? He was supposed to get the...he forgot the saying. Was it caterpillars? In his stomach? Well, something like that anyways. The second-guessing usually came naturally to him. He could think through a situation nine times before he was settled on it. It was how he validated things. He thought an idea to death, and that made it go off smoothly. It was usually how he knew he was right, or that it was right. Weren't grooms supposed to be freaking out? About...something, like 'never having another woman again'?

He blinked.

He blinked because he wasn't nervous. His palms weren't sweating, his face wasn't taut. Everything about this just felt...right. Oh, it was scary. His heart was pounding, but it wasn't because he wanted to back out. That was the last thing he wanted. He was waiting for something, but it wasn't the nerves he was starting to think wouldn't come. He was waiting for the ceremony. He was waiting to get started. He couldn't...wait, to get started.

That was why he was tense. That was why he felt like the clock on the wall was moving incredibly slow. Tiger and him were about to embark on a new chapter of their lives, pledge their lives and...it wasn't something he took on lightly. At the same time, he couldn't help but think he had pledged his life to her a long time ago. She'd been twelve when he met her, sixteen when he realized how he loved her. Their relationship had grown and changed with the times, but regardless of how he'd pledged his life to her in the past (and how it differed now), he still had.

So this was easy.

There was a knock on the door, and Ryan called out simply, "Come in." He expected it was Parker, or maybe Fidelio. He was waiting for everyone to arrive before heading out to the alter. His eyebrow arched in surprise when he saw an unfamiliar woman enter, wearing a bridesmaid gown. She introduced herself--Jeanette? He blinked. He didn't know the name. He also didn't know her, when he really thought that he knew Tiger's friends from France.

He opened his mouth to perhaps assert an objection, but she cut him off. She showed him polyjuice potion, and his eyebrow arched as she continue. With his nickname. Well clearly, she knew him...

His mouth dropped slightly, and he suddenly blinked once more, blinking away sudden tears in his eyes away as he realized exactly who it was.

" 'Bira." His hand went to his mouth for a second. A christmas carol? Oh, god Abi..." You're really here?"

That was the only thought he had before he'd taken three steps forward to engulf his sister in a hug.

It had been a...nerve-wrecking day, that was for sure. Because the bride and groom technically weren't supposed to see each other the day of, Tigs had slipped out of bed early in the morning, and headed over to Juls' instead.

Her dress had been there, as well as her little pink bag of things for after the reception, Emilie already dressed in her little, fluffy gown with a small bow perched in her dark locks.

It had been a hard thing not to go check on her Sosie and Zak that day. She and Ryan had gone to the 'governor' of the area's house to make sure they were being treated well enough while they waited for the birth certificates to be finished just a few days previous, and she was already in love with them.

Until the certificates and the money were delivered though, they couldn't have Sosie and Zak with them, and everything was supposed to be done by Monday.

Now, however, Tigs was in her gown of black lace and white silk, the tiara Ryan had given her for Christmas was placed in her hair, and a black veil was attached to that. Her strappy heels were on, her makeup was done, and any jewelry she was wearing were gracing her neck and hands.

And she was sitting there, on the small, cushioned chair in front of the vanity, staring at that ring. Her sister had placed herself on a similar chair - in front of the door - with Emilie on her lap.

"Julsie?" There was a moment of pause, a pregnant pause where she struggled to keep her breath under control. "Go get Brandin, if he's here, please."

Juls didn't move, and Tigs looked up, smiling slightly, "I'm not going anywhere."

Juls shook her head at her, but went anyways, setting Emilie back down on Tigs' lap.

Parker had arrived early. That was what best-men were supposed to do, right? And he was one of the very best of men, wasn't he? Without the slightest wince at his immodesty (and a huge smirk), his first priority became checking the bar.

Old habits died hard.

He intended on doing this right for his brother. He just ignored the fact that not six months ago he had thought his brother and him were never going to get along. There were just some things that people went through together that ended up getting along. The manor had been one of those things. The understanding and friendship they'd gained coming out of it had him standing their that day and he was beaming. After insuring the bar was fully (properly) stocked, he headed back downstairs.

He was waiting for Anastasia to arrive, having been sent on ahead by her. He hadn't actually seen her since their shopping trip, where she hadn't bought anything. He wasn't surprised by that. He knew it was bothering her that she had to wear some high-neck gown to the wedding, but he had no doubts that whatever she ended up wearing, she was going to look beautiful.

Accepting this invitation had been curious for Brandin. Once upon a time, Ryan was "supposed" to have married his own wife, and they were supposed to be nothing more than bitter rivals. That was how their father had wanted it, after all. He was supposed to be the child that would fix Ryan's mistakes. That was always all he'd been to his father.

Then again if neither of them had listened to their father their whole life, he wasn't sure why they'd decided to start with each other. They were brothers, after all. He actually felt guilty beyond what he felt comfortable with for his recent...actions, as well. For months, he had been annoyed by both of them, as their initial game had been hijacked and resulted in himself kidnapped for a month, and his wife used and mistreated. He hadn't known how to forgive, only how to 'settle' the score. And now that he had, he actually hated that he had. He was sitting in the pew, thinking about how close he might have come to ruining their day, and swallowing hard.

So while he knew the ceremony was illegal (and therefore a little dodgy to attend as well), and while he knew this was a little awkward, he ignored it all. He ignored it, and he was just there. For them, for himself...he didn't know.

He supposed Isobela would have been proud at that point.

He blinked in surprise as Julianna approached him and tilted his head, following her back to Tiger's room. He was more than a little bewildered, though with his usual practice he didn't show it. He knocked once, so that he wasn't about to disrupt her, before poking his head in. A small smile crossed his face first, as he remarked lightly,

"Hello. You look...beautiful, Tiger." It was the closest he ever came to using a nickname. "You...wanted to see me?"

As recognition and understanding broke across Ryan's face, more tears blinked against Abi's eyes before splashing across his shoulder. She hugged him back tightly, shutting her eyes as hard as she could and swallowing herself into the embrace. He was always so good at that. The hatred of their situation, the particulars of their relationship, the fact that this was illegal, or possibly risking her marriage fell away. (She had been kidnapped, technically, into attendance though. There were handcuffs involved and everything. That...Tiger had said she could keep.) It all fell away. All she cared about was the swelling bubble of joy, and the tease-worthy and adorable expression on Ryan's face. Tightening her arms around his back and laughing under her breath, she nodded desperately.

"Yes, I am...I am, I'm here."

The happiness that was bringing them both just brightened across their mutual smiles when she pulled back and bounced. Her hands fixed around his tie, and she squealed as she bunched it together and yanked herself onto her toes to hug him again.

"Don't ask how; it's an odd story. Just...I'm here!" Another squeal. "I'm so happy for you, Ry. You...merlin, do you know how happy you look right now?"

Tigs had smiled when Juls gave her back Emilie, just a quiet admission that she was believed. Emilie looked absolutely adorable in her little dress, with her little white dress shoes and lacy socks...

How come dressing up little kids was so much fun? Tigs wasn't a fan of the whole kids-as-a-doll-idea but she had definitely enjoyed picking out clothes and putting Emilie in them, and seeing how beautiful she looked in it; Tigs loved every second of it.

Juls wasn't gone long, but Juls didn't come back with Brandin. Tigs supposed that she was making sure everything was put together somehow or another. Quite bluntly, Tigs didn't care. It wasn't what things looked like, or how the music was played, or anything like that. It was supposed to be...well, just something about the union. Tigs wasn't all in love with the idea of weddings. She had avoided them as much as possible.

But she was going on a thought process she didn't need to be on, thankfully interrupted by the door.

"Come in."

When Brandin walked in, Tigs turned in that direction, gently unwrapping Emilie's hand from her necklaces. For a moment, she paused, a witty comment about hearing that a lot on the tip of her tongue. However, she hadn't talked to Brandin at all, and she wasn't quite sure if he'd appreciate her humor. Instead, she murmured a simple thank you, the most docile she'd be in the next few minutes.

Instead, her chin lifted and she leveled her eyes on his, not bothering to acknowledge that she asked for him. "I want you to walk me down the isle. My father is dead, and there is no fucking way yours will get within a thousand yards of myself or my daughter without losing his head. Don't argue; Parker's Ryan's best man, and Abi's one of my bridesmaids. I'm wearing shoes that are going to be hell going down those stairs though, so it's your job to make sure I don't fall."

But...she then smiled at him, starting to feel the 'ohmigod I'm getting married' excitement and nerves.

The initial shock was beginning to ebb and Ryan was suddenly laughing. She was bouncing, squealing, and hugging him repeatedly, unable to settle down. The literal embodiment of his jumping self, Ryan just hugged her back. He tried not to squeeze the hell out of her, but he couldn't help it...a little bit. He was thrilled beyond belief that Bira was there, and he didn't care to ask how or why. The fact was just that she ... was there.

He couldn't put into words how much that meant to him.

At her remark, he laughed a little harder and remarked lightly, "About half as happy as I feel."

He beamed at her as he pulled back slightly reluctantly and remarked sheepishly, "I...can't believe you're here. I can't believe..this. I can't..."

Breathe. They said it was impossible to put into words how it felt on your wedding day, and at that moment, Ryan realized 'they' were absolutely right.

It had been actually really hard to even get to that wedding. Remington had told her to eat - and she did. Problem was, although the instincts were there, she also had a mental block. She didn't want to hurt them or take too much blood from them. She'd had to find more after finding her dress, after getting dressed, and on the way there. However, now she was full.

She thought so, anyways. Her eyes had gone from a bright crimson to a red so dark it looked like her usual black, fortunately - she wasn't sure how to...turn that off, so to speak. If, it even 'turned off'.

Oh well, she could think about that later.

Annie's gown was tight, her feeling unbelievably sexy for a woman who had just woken from a coma with a knife wound and burnt skin from being shocked back to life several times. The 'burnt' chest had healed over, leaving her with unblemished skin. the only thing that wasn't perfect was the thin, dipped scar from her 'mishap' five years ago.

Her silver jewelry had hurt her, so she was wearing gold.

When she arrived at the wedding, Annie took an isle seat near the front, still, but watching people very, very carefully.

Destine Faye was standing near the back, a tight and beatific smile across her lips. Her gown was respectable, a deep navy, and she wore her traditional gold jewelry atop it. The traditional look was rather what she did best. Looking around, however, she was slowly realizing that both of her sons were actually there, their half-brother as well, and she had her suspicions about the 'friend from home' bridesmaid. All of them together made her smile almost as much as the fact that Ryan was getting married did.

Almost.

Her agenda, however, rested on seeking out Tiger's mother. When she spotted her, accompanied by someone who looked several years her junior, Destine's eyebrow arched. Huh. She headed to sit near them both and said with the smile still in place,

"Hello." She extended her hand to them both while sitting down...

--- & ---

Brandin blinked at the remarks, and a tight smile began to spread across his lips as she continued. He had noticed that his father was not in attendance. Good riddance. He spared his father not another thought, however, because the smile was beginning to shift and mold. Widening as she continued, he finally remarked,

"When you put it that way, how could I say no?"

He felt...strange. It was a good strange. He didn't know how to process exactly everything that was going on. Being asked (rather, told) to become a part of the wedding party was bringing a smile to Brandin's face he was unused to and he laughed lightly.

"You won't fall." He grinned. "You have my word."

Brandin's word was a good one. He didn't give it often, and he supposed people (with a good reason) might have issues trusting him. He didn't mind that. They shouldn't trust him. He didn't trust them, either. But when he promised something...it was different.

This, was different.

Taking a sudden pause, a truly shocked smile suddenly crossed Parker's face. He'd been setting the flowers (on "Jeanette's" request), but it was hard for him to not notice that Anastasia had just entered the room. She was not shaking, nor wearing a high-necked gown of any kind. The burns appeared to have healed over in the space of the previous four days, and he blinked once more. The smirk on his lips overtook his shock.

He'd been wrong. She didn't just look beautiful 'no matter what she wore'...at that moment she looked positively radiant. Her skin was porcelain, her motions languid and graceful...her smile bright. Distinctly aware of his heart skipping a beat (was that normal?) he abandoned the flowers to go lean over the pew, squeezing the wood and smiled at her,

"Excuse me, milady. Do I happen to know you?"

The game was comfortable. It was a way for him to evade and escape how brilliantly she'd just stunned him with his entrance. He knew the entrance of the evening was meant to belong to Tiger, but in his biased opinion...Annie might have just stolen that.

Emery honestly didn't know why she was even going to the wedding. Technically speaking, she knew neither the bride nor the groom. She'd seen Tiger before, lastly at the scary manor of death, but she didn't know her. But, she figured that she may as well go. Tiger was, after all, one of her best friend's sister, so didn't she technically know her by association? Well, that was how the logic worked in her head. Besides, Juls was maid of honor, so Em had to be there. Especially since she'd decided that she'd be maid of honor in her own wedding. So, she could count this as 'research' for that.

She'd made sure to dress nicely, because it was a wedding, after all. No jeans and a t-shirt for that sort of occasion. When she'd entered, she immediately felt sort of out of place. But, she ignored that feeling as she sat down and just waited for it to begin.

The truth was, Sadie knew that she could probably get into trouble for attending this wedding, but she didn't care. Her cousin wasn't someone she knew incredibly well, but that didn't mean she didn't wish the best for him in at least some sense of the word. Besides that, her own sister was really close with him, and she had no problem being there to support family. To her, family bonds were something to be cherished, not ignored, and certainly not forgotten about.

Keeping her hair back, up, and out of her eyes, she was walking in with both Arya and Milo, conversing with them quietly. Spying someone she didn't know sitting down and looking as though she didn't know anyone, she nodded to her siblings and then went and sat down next to her, turning and smiling softly.

Well, no one ever said Sadie was shy.

"Hi." She said it softly. "I'm Sadie."

Marie had showed up and immediately headed up the stairs to see her new son-in-law-to-be, but midway up she ran into her eldest daughter, and was 'seated'. Firmly.

Glad to see her daughters respected her mother.

There was a little bit of a pout on Marie's face as she sat in the front row, naturally saved for family. Although the outfit was more demure than she was accustomed to wearing, she had tried for her daughters. It wasn't...too, low cut, nor...too, short, nor was it white or black. She'd even worn a little jacket with it.

And still, they hadn't even let her say hi. Her delicious French countryman had begun whispering sweet nothings in her ear to cheer her up, and she had turned in towards him, continuing on a private conversation when someone spoke. Marie looked up, and then smiled. Although she didn't know the woman, she could guess who it was. The family resemblance in the Faye family was strong.

"Madame." Henri took her hand and kissed her knuckles, grinning happily. He was always happy.

Marie, on the other hand, shook her hand firmly, and responded only with a smile.

--

Tigs popped up and arranged Emilie on her hip so that she could throw an arm around his neck to hug him, pressing her lips to his cheek gently when he said he would. It was her wedding, why couldn't she be happy? Things working out for once was like a happy pill, and even his simple acceptance to make sure she didn't fall down the stairs and break her neck - god, how embarrassing? - made her bubble.

"Thank you."

Emilie had grabbed onto Brandin's tie, stuffing it into her mouth before Tigs pulled back, and so Tigs walked over and pulled out a pacifier out of her baby bag, a small laugh following her apology. She was ready to go though. Ready to walk down those stairs. The waiting was really getting at her, making her more and more nervous the longer it took. She still wasn't thinking about running - not that she could do that in the killer shoes she was wearing so she could at least look at Ryan during their ceremony - but she was starting to feel the need to get out. To move. walk around. Go find Ryan.

And damn tradition said she couldn't do that.

"Do you know if it's almost time yet? I'm bored."

It was kind of disappointing, really. There were a fair amount of girls there waiting than there were guys and, as much as Annie enjoyed comparing outfits and thinking everyone looked absolutely adorable normally, she wasn't that interested in them right then. She was interested in the more...full-bodied..

Whoa. Hold up. Annie blinked for a moment, touching her fingers to her lips as she stopped smiling for a moment.

She had stopped thinking in terms of people of the wedding, and more about food. She swore, she wasn't hungry. Instead, she focused on the flowers, how beautiful they were, and the surroundings. Before she knew it, she was back to being exactly the same as usual, excited about the wedding. Weddings were so, so beautiful...

Mmm.

Suddenly Parker was right in front of her, leaning over the pew to her, and she leaned forward, entranced by his scent. "I daresay I've seen you once or twice..." She responded, just the slightest of smirks on her face as she kissed the pulse point right under his jaw. "You smell good." This time, her voice was soft, a mere murmur, but she was sitting back a moment later, recrossing her knees and breathing through her mouth.

She was loving every second of this, making mental notes on what worked and what things felt like and she couldn't wait to start her new story. Maybe it would start at a wedding too...Anastasia zoned off for a second, perusing her options, but she was at a wedding. Therefore, she was right back to smiling at him just a moment later.

Fido and Forest had shown up a lot in advance, but had not much to do in the waiting time. Forest was happily walking about greeting people he didn't know, cheery and suiting his eaight-year old skin much better than he normally did. He'd even gotten up early that day in order to start getting everything nice and ready for the wedding.

It was actually really, really nice to watch him - he'd gotten both of their ensembles out, woken Shane, made her get her clothes ready, made sure that everyone was ready to spend the day without them...

Fido had groaned and laughed, then after ten minutes, rolled over in bed to sleep more. He was pacing now, Shane sitting down and looking at him every few minutes, amused and she'd brought a camera too.

Snap.

He was biting down on his lip, wondering where Forest had gone and worrying if it would bother Tiger if he'd just went there... and Shane had taken a picture. Well. That was nice. He threw a 'ha, very funny,' look in her direction before returning to his thoughts.

Even though weddings weren't his type of thing to attend, he had been invited and it was only polite. He at least upheld some manners. Then there was the fact that he hadn't seen Tigs in a while and it presented him with the opportunity to. As expected he found a place to sit toward the back. For once it wasn't a case of wanting to remain hidden because he could have cared less; he just felt more comfortable. Honestly he just didn't get the point of weddings. Basically you signed your life over to someone else, and to soften it up and look normal you threw in rings. And they called him possessive? Clearly he was missing the point or something.

Squeaking a little bit still, Abi tried (she really did) to lower her tone at least a tiny amount. Nodding fervently, she pulled back to wipe her eyes slightly and beamed again.

"Believe it, Ry. You're here. You're getting married, and I'm so...proud of you."

Turning on her toes for a moment and fixing her dress, she reached into her clutch to down another dosage of the Polyjuice potion, not wanting to have to bother with it during the ceremony (because really, how would that look?. Grimacing at the taste, she took a little comfort in the fact that her features didn't have to adjust themselves a second time.

Looking up once more while the cap went in with a pop!, she continued, "I mean it. Congratulations, Ryan. You made it."

Everything else was still ceasing to matter. She ignored the hypocrisy or the issues, ignored the problems and the double standards...she just threw her arms around Ryan once more and hugged him again. Her head tilted towards the ceiling while she did, but this time she kept her eyes open. It was harder to keep from crying that way, but she wanted to soak it in. Remember how it felt to be there, hugging her brother before he got married.

Then she kissed his cheek, grinned and pulled back.

"All right. I, have to go. And you, have to get your butt up that aisle."

She hurried out the door, but not without a single, thrilled, glance back.

Forest glanced at Fido, looking nervous and happy, and then at Shane in her navy dress, sitting in the middle of the rows of seats. She looked like she was having a fine time, what with the ancient camera she'd found somewhere in the house. It only took still-frames, though. She'd snapped Forest and Fido together, earlier, when they were dressed.

It was less than traditional, though. Fido's hand was somewhere on top of Forest's head and he was making a motion to bypass and attack Fido himself. Shane said it was perfect, and Forest didn't at all doubt that, in terms of them.

After he made sure everything was fine, he shrugged out of a conversation he was having with some lady that was related to someone, somehow. It was safe to say he hadn't really been paying that much attention to her. He nodded a few times and then turned, figuring out which way actually led to where Tiger was.

He wasn't all too sure he was allowed to even see Tigs or not, he didn't know the rules of weddings or anything, all he knew was this:

Tiger was an amazing person. She deserved to be happy, and he assumed by getting married, she would be happy. The fact that she was able to start a real family, Emilie and Ryan? That was extremely happy for her, in his opinion. He also considered himself part of her family, because she was part of his. If anyone in the world deserved happiness, it was Tiger. He loved he so much. And there was no point in explaining something that was so obviously beyond words. Tiger was his best friend.

He tapped on the door, waiting for an okay or a 'go away'. He crossed his fingers, hoping for the former.
