The Basics: Name: Clarissa Joy D'Grey. Nickname: Clara or Claire--depends on which she wants to tell people. Birthdate: February 1st, 1988. Birthplace: St. Mungos. Work/Schooling: Beauxbatons/Acolyte. Family: Half-Blood. Mother: Eliza D'Grey. Father: Tristan D'Grey. Siblings: Remington D'Grey. Extended Family: Her grandmother Nora Eloise Birch raised her basically from the day she was a week old till today. Home: At her grandmother Nora's. About the character Appearance: Clara has long dark brown hair that's about to the middle of her back. It can look black in some lights and it's perfectly straight. She has bright blue eyes that stick out almost eerily, but she plays them up with makeup any chance she gets. Clara's naturally fair skinned and has a doll like face; like Remington she doesn't show emotion well and can look moody. She's of average height, but she's petite despite eating healthy. There's a scar on her arm from when she was a kid, and she has a few others from various things but those are mostly faded at this point. Cloths wise she's just about anything. She has her girly days where it's nothing but dresses or skirts and heels, and others she's all about comfort with jeans and t-shirts with sneakers. It just depends on her mood or what she's up to for the day. Clara also never changes her hair and she barely ever wears it any way but down and natural. Strengths: Clara has those type of eyes that can 'see into your soul' and she likes to use it to her advantage when getting her way and she's become pretty good at being persuasive. She's good at spellwork and even better at potions as of late as well. Weaknesses: Clara likes to socialize but she doesn't like to keep friends. She doesn't really understand what real friendship means as well as love. She has the tendency to use people to get what she wants and then ditch them after. She's not a very good liar either though she really tries, and she isn't one to censor her words when she's talking to someone. Personality: (1 paragraph+) Clara in a way has two sides. Some days she's loud and social and other days she's dark and moody. On her good days she likes to talk to people, but she isn't one to hold a friendship. Relationships? One night stands basically. She doesn't see the point in investing her time in anyone. She'll giggle at any joke if she thinks it'll make the other person smile and trust her more even if she doesn't find it funny. Behind their backs though she'll say what she really thinks, and if she doesn't need the person she'll say it to your face. On her bad days she has a violent temper and for someone so tiny she can pack a punch--literally sometimes. She likes to mix potions and see what kind of reactions it'll cause people; something she does with patients that don't stand a chance at mungos anyways and her way of abusing her occupation. She likes to see the bright side of life and have a good time no matter what. She doesn't let much get her down, but she doesn't take being betrayed lightly. Clara's mouthy and she tends to whine like any spoiled child is expected to. Hobbies: Potion making/experimenting with them, shopping, kickboxing (mostly when she's in a bad mood and she can squeeze in a appointment). Pet: N/A--She's positive she doesn't have the time or patience for one. The owl she uses for mail is in fact her grandmother's. Wand: 10 inch Rosewood and Holly. School: Beauxbatons. House: N/A. Short History of The Character: (minimum 2 paragraphs) Tristan D'Grey always wanted a son and he was delighted when Remington was born. When Eliza became pregnant again he was completely against it. He even went so far as to tell Eliza to have a abortion, but she refused. When Clarissa Joy D'Grey was born, Tristan told his wife that they weren't keeping her. Eliza though couldn't just give her daughter away that easily, even if it was for her husband. She ended up giving Clara to her mother and letting her raise her while Eliza made secret trips to London to see her daughter when she could get away with it. Every trip she made she picked up a present for Clara on the way which was typically a porcelain doll. At this point her room has a whole wall of shelves filled with them though she isn't fond of them anymore. Growing up with her grandmother meant Clara learned most of what she does from her. Nora had house-elves who did all the chores so Clara didn't lift a finger to do anything. Her job of course was to learn manners and be a respectable member of society. It was in school where Clara found her own and she started to mold into the person she is today. Beauxbatons was a rather strict place where there isn't much room for rebellion, but she found her ways when she met with a group of girls who had their own secret get together and talked about things that girls their age were ordinarily forbidden to talk about. During the summers she stayed in the house for the most part, but her teenage years were when she got more of a attitude and started listening less to Nora. When Clara was seventeen, Nora went against her own morals and enrolled her in a two day a week kickboxing class hoping it would tone down her granddaughter's violent temper. Though it helped, she was still the same mouthy teenager who was starting to lack in the manners her grandmother taught her. Through out school she found her own place and worked hard so she could eventually have a job and use that job to be out of the house. Being a healer wasn't her first choice, not much was, but she could work with it. Once she started becoming interested in potions, however, she realized how the job could work to her advantage. She started making her own and testing them out on patients who didn't stand a chance anyways so no one would notice. There were failures and others worked. Till this day she's still doing that." Clara has had little contact with her brother Remington, but the times she does speak to him it's mostly in letters. She sees him mostly on holidays to exchange gifts and quickly catch up before she then leaves since he never likes to chat long. Over time she grew proud of her older brother for his group and what he's accomplished for himself. Though she isn't so quick to jump on board and risk her job, she still admires him for it. Today she's still living in London with her grandmother while her mother visits every month with a new doll. She stays out of the house more and spends nights at-- whichever guy she happens to get-- houses. Otherwise it's mostly in the room that hasn't changed since she was a child at Nora's. She's still testing out potions and taking her job as a healer as seriously as can be expected for her, but because of Remington she's prouder than ever to be a D'Grey. Primary Character: Ella Cox. |
