When Jake came in, Juls smiled a little. "Hey Jake." She hadn't exactly known that she'd have Lena spreading the news, but she had suspected it anyways. At least to be visited at some point. "Is he okay?" Llian had expressed his thoughts that Jayden would be, and Juls believed him; Jayden had always been the strong type of person, but hearing it was really good. "I doubt they would move him up to the mat floor though, unfortunately. That wouldn't work out too well. And yes, they do. I swear I just do by association. It's all their fault." Several things to reply to at once, that was for sure. "Poor Iain...he doesn't need to be here." Juls sighed, gingerly touching her stomach where the baby decided to kick once again. While it was extremely painful, it was also a strange feeling. People talked about knives in people's stomachs, and this was legitimately what it felt like. Describing it had nothing on how it really felt. She took Llian's hand though, and placed it where Taylor was kicking, wanting the warmth and pressure there. her hands were too cold. "Well, the healer just left." Juls explained to Jake, looking down at her stomach. "I don't know what happened, exactly. One minute he was just...kicking, really hard, and then the next my stomach was contracting. I just thought it was those preparation ones, you know? I've never done this before. I have no clue...but then there was this ripping feeling and I started bleeding... a lot. As you can probably tell." Since she'd had visitors, the original sheets and gown hadn't been changed as of yet, "And it's all over the floor in the IL." She...needed to clean that up. Hopefully she could get out of Mungo's earlier than a few days, and then she could do that. "But I was given a transfusion and something to stop the contractions, and I wasn't dilated, and the healer said that the baby wasn't under any kind of stress, or anything. I just had a placental abruption...like, a slight one, not a completely ruptured one, and I just have to be really careful or I'll have to have an extremely premature baby. So." Right. That made her really, really nervous. "He's kicking me still?" However, she then remembered that she needed to introduce them, and Juls glanced at Em for a moment before saying, "Llian? This is Jake. Jake, Llian." |

Once she entered Mungos, Mist had practically bombarded the front desk as she made her way up to Juls's room, with Rian trailing behind. She stopped abruptedly in the doorway as she arrived to hear the ending of Juls's explanation. Well at least she and the baby was okay, that was all that matter. Looking at the room, she saw that it was already packed with Em, Jake and Llian; she recognized him from her Aurors years. Mist simply waved at her everyone before focusing her attention on Juls. "Lena just told me, well us," She modified as Rian came into view. "what happened." "I would have came sooner, but someone kind of kidnapped me." She said, elbowing Rian. She kind of regretted having that talk with him because if she refused, she could have been there when Juls started bleeding. "How are you doing?" Edited by Mysty Vane, Feb 12 2010, 02:57 AM.

Llian gladly placed his hand on Juls' stomach when she directed it there, a relieved smile coming to his face when he could feel their son moving around and kicking. It was good to have the physical, tangible reassurance that he was still alive and well and growing safely. He knew that it would be a difficult few days--and perhaps a difficult rest of the pregnancy--but he also knew that if anyone had the strength to see this through to the end and make sure their baby stayed safe, it was Juls. The story she told about what happened...he really wished he had been able to be there for her more than he had been. Yes, he'd come as soon as he'd heard, but he hadn't been there through the whole thing, like when she had actually been going through it. No, he'd shown up once it was all taken care of. Maybe it was stupid of him to think that he could be there for everything because he had a job and the like--and that would probably piss Juls off anyways if he just hovered all the time--but he still liked the idea of being able to be there for her through everything. "At least we know that right now he's healthy," he put into the conversation. Looking up at the people who next entered the room, he waved at them but let Juls field the questions on her health and well-being. He just stayed at her side, one hand on her stomach, still feeling Taylor move and kick. |

Juls was positive that they were breaking some kind of rule about how many visitors someone could have at one time when Mist and Ri walked in, but she only smiled. This? This made her happy. It was her family and her boyfriend, all together in one room. Well, not all together, but pretty close. "Mist, Ri, this is Llian. Llian, This is Mysty and Rian." Oh, introductions were getting old. She knew he would recognize the names though, because they'd talked about the Den a few times when they were just getting to know each other better. His hand on her stomach was comforting, the warmth soothing her slightly. "It's fine, Mist. Em reacted really fast and they were able to stop whatever was happening. I hurt, but that's to be expected, right? Everything will be fine." Well, it had to be, right? She had to get through the next two full moons and then he was due. Holy shit. Two full moons, and he was there with her. That was a scary thought. "And we got to see him where we normally wouldn't." Juls added to Llian's comment, nodding slightly. However, she couldn't help herself and asked, "And how are you two doing...?" |

Llian waved to both Mysty and Rian. "Mysty and I know each other from when she was an Auror," he said. "But hi to you both, and nice to meet you Rian," he addressed them. He just nodded along with Juls when she said that everything was going to be fine. He liked hearing it, and he liked affirming it for himself too. "Yeah, ultrasounds are never bad," he put in. He loved seeing Taylor up on the little screen, healthy and moving and in different stages of development... It was all pretty much the most fascinating thing he had ever seen. It was really pretty much a miracle. He fell silent, although he couldn't help but wonder if Juls was tired with all of these visitors. She seemed to enjoy it, though, so he didn't say anything. |

Mist was relieved when Juls confirmed that everything was alright. Thank Merlin. When Mist was pregnant with Iain, it was never this bad. Sure she had some painful contraction during the full moon; but nothing that lead her to be in Mungos. "That's good." She nodded in agreement. She then addressed Llian, "Hey, how've you been? It's been a while." Her Auror years seemed so far away now. It's been what, a few years now? Mist then smilled as she watched the pair of them. At Jul's question, Mist blinked as she realized that she was still holding onto Rian's hand. She quickly let go, a little flushed, "We're fine." Edited by Mysty Vane, Feb 20 2010, 05:03 PM.

The room was packed once Rian had arrived. Mist had practically dragged him from the front desk to the room, not stopping for a single second. He merely stood at the doorway with her as he surveyed the scene in front of him. Everyone seemed to be there. He simply waved, "Nice to meet you too," He responded to Llian with a nod. To Rian, this was all new to him; Juls being pregnant, being with Llian. Merlin, he was behind. As Juls announced that the baby was fine, Rian smiled. That was good news. "Don't ever scare us like that again. Merlin, you should have seen Mist; she practically stormed through Mungos on a rampage. I think she scared away half of the staff that tried to stop her." He joked before receiving a nudge from Mist in return. When she let go of his hand, he watched her, intrigued. "Fine and dandy apparantly." Edited by Rian Morel, Feb 20 2010, 05:13 PM.

&& It was...a lot harder than Juls though it would be to get to the last stages of pregnancy. She and Tiger had already come up with a way to take care of the triplets once they were born, alongside of Blaze, but it was still hard. She was still going into Mungo's aware that it would not be her children that she was pushing out. Yes, she would be breastfeeding two of them at any given time as necessary, and she'd be helping wean them off to bottles, and taking care of them when Tigs' other children needed attention and care but...it wasn't the same. It wasn't like having Taylor, and knowing she would be there for the first steps, and the first words, and all the smiles. Once these babies were old enough, she wasn't going to see them very much at all. It made feeling the contractions against her very tight, very large stomach even worse. Walking into Mungo's didn't bring with her the joy of bringing lives into the world. Instead, she wanted to cry. It was like she was losing her own children. This was something she had thought about...she knew it was going to be hard. She just didn't think it would hit her so hard at the point where she needed to concentrate on pushing them out, rather than wanting to keep them in so she could have them for just a little bit longer. One of the conditions that she had given to Tiger was that she would get to choose the birth plan. She didn't want a c-section. She had enough scars on her body without adding that one. Furthermore, ever since she had Taylor the pregnant full moons were not as horrible and she had absolutely no complications during the pregnancy whatsoever. It was a good one, with minimum bad side affects. Because she was 37 weeks, the babies were completely healthy, and she was completely healthy, she managed to have her OB agree to let her try and birth them completely naturally. If she could have, she would have been at home. However triplets were usually had by c-section (it wasn't unheard of to give birth vaginally, but not the norm) and if there did end up being any complications like the umbilical cord wrapping around one of the babies, she wanted to be somewhere safe where she'd immediately get help. She was alone, walking into her room. Alone, getting on the gown. Despite her sister wanting to be there, she just couldn't. She had Blaze to take care of and polyjuice would make her milk dangerous to drink. Llian was taking care of Taylor and...well, Juls didn't think he wanted to be there at all anyways. This whole pregnancy thing hadn't made him happy (though he respected her decision) and...well, silver lining. Coming home done with the whole ordeal maybe would release the strain she was sensing on their relationship. Maybe everything would just go back to normal. Getting into the hospital bed, Juls pulled the meager covers up as far as they could go and just curled up looking out the window. It was a typical England day; pouring rain, black and grey. It beat in a steady, calming rhymn against the window and gave her something else to focus on than her thoughts. She couldn't keep these babies. They weren't hers. She couldn't do that to her sister, and she couldn't bear trying to raise three children she knew Llian acutely noted were from another man. She had to go home empty-handed. Closing her eyes, a contraction came just in time to excuse the tears on her face, quietly breathing in and out as it passed. She could do this by herself. It wasn't a big deal. And maybe once it was all over she and Llian and Taylor would completely forget that any of this happened and move on with their lives. Maybe take a trip somewhere. Maybe just...damnit. Her baby was basically a toddler and she missed having a newborn in the house. Taylor was growing up so fast, and she loved seeing the development each day brought but he didn't need her so much anymore. He was growing a lot more dependent on himself. He liked amusing himself, and playing with other children more than his parents. He liked running around with his half-siblings. It wasn't like she was in a hurry to have a lot of kids. It was just the fact that she had gone through over nine months with these children. But Juls really needed to stop thinking about it all, or she wasn't going to be able to do what she needed to. Her momentary thoughts of selfishness (for once) were cast away as she focused on the task at hand. As it wasn't her first pregnancy, it was a mere six hours later that her healer came in and told her she was fully dilated. Those six hours had seemed like weeks given the pain and the silence of the room, and she was deliriously happy when she was told she could push. The contractions had been a hard part, yes, but having the strength to keep pushing, and keep going through three babies was where her will and determination were needed. Another four hours later three beautiful, healthy babies were snuggled in hospital cribs near her. The first boy that had come out, Noah, wasn't sleeping; he was trying to kick his way out of his swaddling. The second child to bless the world with her presence was Lila, and Juls could already see her sister in the baby. She came out screaming and within ten minutes was grinning whenever someone was paying her attention. The last little boy out was the smallest of the three, the one who had been cramped up in the smallest amount of space. He'd somehow been the only one to come out with hair though, his cry must more direct and purposeful. Noah had calmed by her touch, a fact that warmed Juls' heart. She brushed her fingers gently over his fisted fingers, exhausted to her very bone. They'd given her allowance to leave if she could, but that she would do better to have someone else bring her home instead of walking. Given that it wasn't an option, Juls instead had stood up shakily, getting them all ready to leave. She herself had to put on clothes and the sling, but she also fed each of the babies until they were asleep, changed them, and put them in their respective onesies. Very carefully she picked up one baby, then the next, and finally the third; one slid protectively into a sling, the other two resting in her arms. It may have been a lot to juggle, but there was no way in hell Juls would let a baby fall. Never. Wearily she walked down the hall to the apparation point, as ready as she could be to introduce these children to their real mother. For whatever reason, Tigs was staying in a beach house in French Guiana. Juls just figured the warmth was for her nephew and nieces' health. With a deep sigh, she turned on her heel, picturing herself in bed, warm and at home. |
