![]() ![]() ![]() -- By 'flat', what Brad really means is super expensive penthouse. This flat right in the middle of New York City, has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, with a very modern and spacious theme but Brad swears that she can redecorate if she doesn't like it. Brad remembered how much Ella seemed to enjoy New York so he bought her a flat to add to her 'collection'. It's leased under a fake name, and technically it doesn't exist so it makes the perfect hideaway for whenever she needs it. |

Ella had been about to ask what Brad meant, but the map was in her hand and the next second she wasn't even in the flat anymore. At least not that flat anymore. Given the time to recover from the shock of seeing the ring, it was nothing compared to the shock right then as she took in the place. The very amazing place at that. "Oh my gosh." That was definitely the first thing to come out of her mouth, but quick to follow was the squeal she couldn't help but let out. Even if he was right there she would have done it. Map still in hand she actually found the ability to move and not just stand right there and take everything in from that one spot, and went over to one of the windows first. "This is...so cool." The initial reaction was more like a kid in a candy store right then. Turning around she walked around to look at everything, and when she reached the bedroom she laughed as she fell back onto the bed. Alright, this was like ten times more than just spoiling her. It was amazing. |

Brad had waited a few minutes before apparating to the flat, letting her fully experience the gift before coming in to see what she thought of it. After all, it was supposed to be a place where she could go to relax and get away and indubitably to hide when in trouble. After all she was Ella, it was only a matter time really. It was probably one of the reasons why he was just so. . .thankful for her, and cared so much for her. If he thought about it all too quickly, he would feel just the slightest bit overwhelmed. For one person to be able to do that to him, have him completely. . .well wrapped around their finger basically, it was a bit mind-blowing. The real mind-blowing part of it was that he actually didn't mind. Not at all. No matter how much it seemed like 'a big deal' it just came natural to him. It was like breathing, except maybe a bit easier seeing as how his lungs were all kinds of messed up these days. With Juliette in his arms, he apparated into the flat. He looked around for her until he finally found her in the bedroom. He grinned and leaned against the door, still holding on to Jett. "I take it you like it then," he said with a small laugh. |

Ella sat up when she heard Brad, and nodded. "Like is putting it lightly. I love it. This is amazing. I never thought it'd be something like this," she told him as she stood up. Seeing Brad with Jett had her in good spirits too. Kissing Brad on the cheek, she was still a bit in awe at the whole thing. "You've certainly outdone yourself," she laughed. "Thank you." |

"I do pride myself in being surprising, you know," he commented a bit confidently, a small smirk on his face that quickly gave way for a grin instead. He seemed to be grinning a lot more recently, and he certainly didn't mind. It took a lot to phase him, actually and this was merely just a blip on his radar screen. "You deserve this, and more Ella," he admitted with a grin before he continued, "But you are most welcome. The only bad thing about this flat, however, is that you can't use it to hide my alcohol." he grinned, winking at her to show he was kidding. Slightly. "You also have a couple of normal gifts under the tree waiting for you," he added, just now coming to the conclusion that he might have taken the whole gift thing a bit too far. . . Nah, never. |

"You totally succeeded." King of surprises? Yeah that title fit. Just when you thought you knew how far he'd go he went past that and more. At his compliment she smiled, but at the latter it was replaced by a grin. "Darn. Well then it's a good thing you don't know which other flat it's in," she teased. When he said there were other presents though, she just shook her head a moment. "How on earth did I ever come to deserve someone like you?" Ella asked rhetorically as she put her hand on his arm. The ring she had still had in her hand when she showed up there in New York, but she had put it on before venturing off to the rooms. She still couldn't get over that as she was getting over the awe of the flat. "Well then, I suppose lead the way." |

"It's because I haven't looked, haven't even thought about looking. Otherwise, I would have found it by now," he assured her, or rather himself, with a slight laugh before he remembered exactly how many flats and hiding places she had all over the world. "On second thought. . .maybe I wouldn't have." he admitted with a sheepish grin as he took his eyes off of Ella for a moment to look at Jett, and smiling down at her, kissing her cheek while she gurgled and cooed in his arms. He looked up at Ella at her question and merely grinned, knowing that she didn't want an answer because she knew what his answer was going to be: half a joke that she must have won the men lottery, the other half being him telling her that he was the lucky one, not the other way around. He adjusted Jett in his arms, making sure she was safe and secure before disapparating all of them back to their flat to continue opening presents. (Permission to GM out given) |

-&&- It was morning and morning was never a good time for Brad but he had gotten used to it. Especially given the fact of why exactly he was waking up so early. Annabelle was at his bedside, clutching poking his cheek, repeating the word 'papi' quietly over and over again in an attempt to wake him up; she had succeeded. Brad stirred awake, smiling at Annabelle when she told him 'gud mowin'. "Good morning Belle," he whispered before turning around in the bed and kissing Ella's cheek, knowing that her being a light sleeper, Annabelle probably had woken her up before he had awakened himself. "And good morning to you too munchkin." They had been in the New York flat ever since the whole manor incident had happened, and he had picked up Annabelle as well, knowing that Amaris would be in Mungos for a while. He had felt horrible for not staying and trying to help but the truth of the matter was, while she was his daughter's mother, his priority was his wife, his wife's daughter that he already loved like his own, and his daughter who had spent four days without her parents. After things had gotten settled, he had taken Annabelle to see her mother and her new baby sister. Annabelle was ecstatic at having two new baby sisters; Annabelle already considered Juliette as a sister and she insisted on sleeping in the same room as Jett so she could help when Jett woke in the middle of the night. Oddest two year-old ever. But like any normal two year old, Annabelle was being stubborn and pesky and had started poking him again, saying that she was hungry. Brad chuckled again and turned to Annabelle, who was now pouting and holding her teddy bear at her side. "Did you tell Ella good morning?" he asked. Immediately afterwards, Annabelle -instead of walking around the bed- started climbing the bed and after crossing over to Ella's side, kissed her cheek. "Gud mowin Ela" she greeted very cheerfully. Too cheerfully, in Brad's opinion, for it to be this early in the morning. |

Choosing to hide out at the flat in New York had been a choice made without much hestiation. It still bothered her that someone had no doubt managed to get into their place only to end up sending them to that merlin awful party. See, she had a argument as to why those things were bad. Ella was laying in bed, awake, but had her eyes closed as she listened to Annabelle wake up Brad. She hadn't been entirely sure how she was going to take to her, but Belle seemed fine with everything. She liked when she got to stay with them, and Annabelle was usually given the bottle to hold while Ella got Juliette out of the crib at night. When she felt her crawl up onto the bed Ella peeked one eye open after she kissed her cheek, and then smiled as she sat up enough and tickled her; making sure she had a hand at Annabelle's back so she didn't fall. "Good morning." Turning her head she kissed Brad's cheek then. "Good morning to you too. Although you look like you're ready to hide back under the covers," Ella laughed. "I'll let you in on something though--I don't think Annabelle will let you." |

Bradley laughed as Ella started tickling Annabelle, who in turned squealed in absolute delight and tried to tickle Ella as well but ended up only squirming in Ella's hands as she told her to stop, not exactly meaning it of course but it was merely on principle of course. Brad smiled softly as Ella kissed his cheek in return, turning his head afterwards and kissing her on the lips right before she pulled away, making Annabelle 'eww' in reponse, and left Brady grinning in return to his actions. He was predictable about certain things and this was probably one of them. "I'm not used to waking up this early, but I'm glad that you can laugh at me about it," he responded, tutting in fake disapproval of her treatment of him. He was a lazy person, he knew that but he was getting better at it. Having Juliette wake up in the middle of the night, and Annabelle bouncing up and down on him to wake him up was getting him adjusted to it. Nevertheless, it was a slow process. One he didn't intend to keep permanently but he had a feeling he wouldn't have a choice in the matter. "I think you're right," he muttered as Annabelle now climbed over Ella again and started pulling at his arm, telling him to get up, to go make her some food because she was hungry. Bradley groaned and reluctantly sat up, "Alright, alright, I'm up," he yawned afterwards, rubbing at his eyes. These demanding females, he would always be overruled. He pulled Annabelle into a hug and kissed her cheek, while she giggled and pushed him away. Apparently she really wanted her food. Brad sighed and turned to Ella, "Alright, so what's for breakfast?" He was aware that Annabelle was asking him but he thought he could get out of that, or at least try. |

"Aw, come on, it's not that early." But she had probably been used to having the kids jumping on the bed to wake her up by then. From when she watched Lucas, had Emma full time, and when she had the twins, and now Annabelle when she stayed with them--getting to sleep in was a definite no. Getting up she walked around to Brad's side of the bed. "How about we let daddy wake up a little and you and I can get stuff to make pancakes ready?" Pancakes was simple enough and thanks to Brad she was actually managing to learn how to cook more so than before. Holding out her hand to Annabelle she took her hand as she two went to the kitchen. Ella got one of the step stools so Belle could reach the counter as she was going to let her stir the pancake mix. Taking everything needed out of the cupboards, she got everything into the bowl and handed a wooden spoon over to Annabelle. "You can handle this? I'm going to get Jett." Ella kissed the top of her head and then went to get Juliette from her crib who, expectantly, was awake. Going back to the kitchen with Jett on her hip, Ella noted that Annabelle was having more fun making a mess than anything. Laughing she shook her head as she noted some of it on the counter and some on her face. "I think you got it and then some." |

"Maybe in your world. In my world, the sun is up over my head when I first think about waking up. Then I stay in bed for a little while longer." he chuckled, pressing his hands against his face in hopes of rubbing away the exhaustion from his face. Like he said, it was a slow process but Annabelle was an impatient little girl. Maybe he should listen to Ama when she told him not to spoil Annabelle every chance he got but it looked like it was a little too late for that. Oh well, he would just have to deal with the consequences of his actions. Waking up early at Annabelle's every whim seemed to be one of those consequences. When Ella had gotten up to drag Annabelle away, Brad mouthed a small 'thank you' after he kissed Annabelle's cheek. She left willingly when he said he would be right out. For a moment there, Brad just wanted to slip back down into the bed and keep sleeping but of course, that would just end up with him being awoken, this time a lot more brutally than before. After all, he had only been poked awake. This time, he would surely be screamed at or worse. So, with a bit of effort he stood up after a few minutes, and decided to skip the shower knowing that cooking with Annabelle would require a shower soon afterwards anyways. Instead he merely put on an A-shirt and changed his long shorts before walking out to the kitchen. The site before him caused him to laugh, as both he and Ella walked in to the kitchen at almost the same time. He shook his head and went over to Annabelle who was now grinning, "'ook, papi, 'ook!" she exclaimed pointing at the bowl of pancake mix, that she thought done. Brad laughed and picked up a dish towel, wiping her face clean before turning to Ella, "Imagine leaving her alone for more than a minute," he remarked before giving Annabelle back the spoon, telling her to stir slower. He walked over to Ella and Jett, taking Jett from Ella momentarily to give her a quick kiss on the cheek and greeting her with a good morning as well. "Can we stop waking up in the middle of the night, Jett?" he asked rhetorically, kissing her cheek again before handing her back to Ella. Of course, Annabelle also wanted to greet Jett and ran over to Brad's side, jumping up and down, wanting to get picked up. Brad did so, and Annabelle proceeded to kiss Jett's cheek before she wiggled out of his arms again to stir the pancake batter. "I don't think you could have come up with something messier to make, Ella." he teased with a grin as he turned around and began getting the cooking pan and butter out. |

Ella smiled as Juliette made a resemblance of a laugh when Brad kissed her cheek, and then Annabell proceeded to too. With Brad's question he simply got a curious stare back and a silly smile.Taking Jett back she shrugged her shoulder's. "She gets breakfast and has fun doing it," she pointed out. Call it letting the kids do what she missed out on. Seemed fair enough. "What do you think Jett? You going to help when you're big enough?" It was a weird thought actually; imaging Jett being as old as Annabelle. They grew up fast and she definitely knew that, but if Juliette could stay small for as long as was possible she was fine with that. "We should go walk around later," Ella suggested to Brad. "See the sights." |

"I guess that's a no, then." he commented with an amused smile on his face and Juliette just looked at him oddly when he asked his question. Of course, babies had to cry after all. If they would only cry when he was awake, that would be some much more convenient and comfortable to him. Of course, that would be asking too much because the world hated him being comfortable. Nevertheless, he wouldn't change anything in his life at the current moment. Aside from the operation to remove part of his lung that he needed to do at the end of the month in order to attempt to stop the cancer. If that didn't work...the Healers told him not to worry about it until then. That thought however, reminded him of his morning routine and he walked over to one of the cabinets in the kitchen after taking out the pan and butter and took a couple of pills out of their containers, popping them in his mouth and grabbing a cup, filling it with tap water just to help him swallow the nasty little buggers. Of course, at around this time, Annabelle said she wanted her 'mecidin' too. Brad then chuckled and opened the medicine cabinet again, taking out her gummy bear kid vitamins and giving her one. Ella had taken care of the situation actually. When Annabelle asked why he had to take the pills, Ella had stopped him from answering stupidly and possibly insensitively, and said he took them to make him big and strong and healthy. Annabelle, always wanting to be the best, said she wanted some too. Hence, the gummy bear vitamins. "Of course she's going to help make a mess that I will have tons of fun cleaning up," he answered with a laugh, tickling Jett's foot before turning on the stove and placing the pan on top of it, waiting for it to heat up. In the mean time, "How are we doing Chef Belle?" he asked Annabelle, turning his head to the side to see her stirring away at the batter. She didn't even look up, just held up one of her hands and kept on stirring. He laughed out loud and shaking his head he turned to Ella once more. "That sounds like a great idea. If we stay hidden up here for too long we might go slowly insane." He grinned, he had been joking of course because he could very well 'stay hidden' for a while and she knew it. "Do you want some coffee?" he asked her, already putting the ground out coffee in the coffee maker, but would add water accordingly. Ella didn't touch the coffee machine, she was afraid to break it and he had to say, he kind of agreed. |

"Well that's why we're able to do magic; makes things easier." If you wanted to do it the lazy way anyways. When she thought about that whole no magic run had been honestly pretty stupid. At the time, however, it had sounded like a good option. The ordeal that got her to that point though was constantly put out of mind and lately she hadn't even bothered to remember. Jett made a gurgle of a laugh when Brad tickled her, then put her fingers expectantly in her mouth. It was cute how seriously Annabelle was taking her job of stirring the pancake mix, and Ella had went over to stand by her to silently see the progress. "Are we sure we haven't reached that point already?" Ella teased. Turning around to find the playpen, Ella laid Juliette down; answering Brad as she gave Jett one of the toys she had got for Christmas. "Absolutely." |

"Then maybe you could teach me a couple of cleaning spells then, because I don't know a single one." he admitted with a small laugh, taking a small teaspoon of butter and adding it to the pan in order to give the base some flavor and prevent the pancakes from sticking; he didn't want to use that unnatural non-stick spray thing. So what if it added extra fat and calories? Whatever. "What are you talking about? We're completely sane. That's why I like to wear a grim reaper robe, you have a plot notebook and Rose goes around shish-kabobbing people." He kept on smirking throughout his sentence and laughed out loud after he was done. Oh yes, they were completely normal. He nodded when Ella said she wanted coffee, adding enough to water to produce three cups of coffee (one of them was bound to want a refill) and clicked the button to make the coffee start brewing. Afterwards he headed over to Annabelle, "Wow, Annabelle that's really good! Good job," he smiled and held up his hand to hers so she could high-five him. He took the bowl and stirred it a few more times before he poured a small amount of the pancake batter on the pan. "You know, I've always wanted to flip a pancake," he looked sideways at Ella as Annabelle had gone over to stand by the play-pen and make funny faces at Jett and asked, "What do you think? Can I do it? I am pretty amazing, after all." |

"Really? I'll have to teach you then." Usually it was the other way around so of course she had a grin on her face about it. As he rattled off who they were basically, she realized how much more insane it sounded out loud. Hey, everyone's different. "Okay but see, if we weren't those people we'd be boring conformed members of society. We can't have that." Ella laughed and glanced at Annabelle as she went over to the playpen, but Brad brought her attention back with his suggestion. "I say go for it. We'll get a laugh at least if it sticks to the ceiling and trust me, it will stick." Adventures in babysitting five year old's. Or...Dante rather. She had witnessed that one for herself. |

"Oh I love it when you take charge," Bradley commented with a smirk, wiggling his eyebrows playfully and winking before laughing out loud, and shaking his head. No matter how tired he might have been when he had woken up just a couple of minutes ago, he was already in a happier and lighter mood. He had his good days and he had his bad days recently. Having his family with him, making breakfast together and just being somewhat normal made him...enormously happy. He would have never in a million years believed that this was where he was going to end up. Looking at his younger self when the whole occurrence happened reminded him of how different he was. And all this change because of what? One incredible woman with the ability to vex him beyond his wildest dreams. He was immensely grateful, and he knew that words could never express how happy he felt to be so lucky. "Boring and conformed?" He winced, shaking his head disapprovingly, "You're right, we're above that...or below that. Whichever works." He laughed and began smiling amusedly as Ella told him the pancake was going to stick to the ceiling. "Oh, ye of little faith, munchkin." He grinned and picked up the pan, moving it slightly to make sure it wasn't sticking to the pan. He made a show of stretching his legs and cracking his neck and shoulders, bouncing a bit on place. "Drum-roll, please." He requested with a grin. |

Ella shook her head with the same grin on her face at his comment; amused more than anything. It was funny when she thought about where she had been before he came back around and that seemed like a distance place. Doing no magic? Hiding out in some flat basically? It seemed really silly when she thought about it now. "I'd say below that judging by how society see us," Ella said, shrugging her shoulder's. "We're people who like to sneak into fountains when we shouldn't, wake up Rome, and..." She glanced at Annabelle out of the corner of her eye a moment and then looked at Brad. "take shopping trips to another level." Safe enough. When he asked for a drum-roll she went to the counter near him and and patted her hands against it. "This is a feat never done before. We'll see if he can do it," she laughed. |

Grinning, he listened with an amused grin on his face as Ella listed off all the reasons for why society viewed them as people of lesser value. He smirked at the last reason and had to remind himself of the small children nearby in order to stomp himself from rescheduling breakfast in lieu of other, more enjoyable events. He probably wouldn't have even managed to get to the bedroom if he had allowed himself, not that it was a problem with them at all. Alright, he had to get out of that "I say we go shopping again sometime soon," he suggested with another small smirk before reminding himself that the objective was control. Right, he had to get out of that mind-set. Brad waited for the end of the drum-roll, taking note that Annabelle crouched down and was also slapping her hands on the floor for a drum-roll, and took another seconds of dramatic effect before flicking his wrist upward and throwing the pancake up in the air, making sure it didn't reach the roof. It didn't stick so that was a plus, but it did end up missing half of the pan and splattering all over his hand and shirt. "Err...whoops?" he remarked, grinning innocently and apologetically, fake glaring at Annabelle for laughing at him. |
