When they did finally reach the room, she let Phin in first before she walked over and sat down on the edge of the bed while Jem took the other side; obviously leaving space for anybody else was ignored at the moment as Charlotte was the focus; currently being held in Rose's arms who was definitely in a better mood. "Hi Charlotte," she greeted, keeping her tone somewhat quiet before she glanced at Rose to compliment. "She's gorgeous." With Charlotte added to the household no one was going to get any sleep. If Rose stayed at Escape that is. She had no idea if Rose and Phin had worked out some sort of visiting schedule or whatnot like she had to do with Ryder. If there was one thing that Brad noticed was that the Maternity ward was not as annoyingly and brightly white as the other floors of the hospital. Brad felt that at least as long as the future of mankind wasn't being blinded by bleach white walls and the smell of ammonia, then the hospitals were doing at least one thing right. The sad thing was he couldn't even say he could avoid hospitals for a while, because he couldn't. Appointments, consultations, check-ups, the final surgery in April; he would be seeing a lot of the hospital for a while. He would keep that fact to himself though, he didn't need to make Ella worry when there was nothing to be worried about. He walked in the room, choosing to stand behind Ella as he looked down at the small baby in Rose's arm, "She's going to grow up and break hearts. . .and faces," he added as an afterthought with a small grin on his face, "How are you doing, Rose?" |

Rose had actually meant to apologize for hurting Phin's hand, but she figured there wasn't a need to. She had sent him off to get whoever was left waiting in the lobby while she carefully held Charlotte in her arms. The tiny little baby was such a amazing thing to her right then. She had been responsible for making sure Charlie had been safe until she could actually be there. The fact she was there? Still surprising. Even though Lucas had obviously known about a soon to come baby sister, she was still uncertain of his reaction when she got to bring Charlotte home. Forgetting the concern for right now she glanced up as her sister's and Brad filed into the room along with Gryphin. Rose smiled as Ella made a comment, but she answered Brad's question with a quieted laugh. "Could say that wouldn't happen if she took after Phin, but either one of us..." she trailed off there. "I'm tired, but I'm happy. Thanks for coming by the way. You didn't have to do that." |

Charlotte was going to break faces; that much of his previous statement was true and dead-certain. Rose could pack a mean punch -a nasty, evil, punch to be more specific- and Gryphin wasn't exactly a peace-oriented guy. The way they took care of their anger? Right, it was inevitable for the little girl to grow up and be completely intimidating. The heartbreaker comment stemmed from the fact that all women were, whether they were aware of it or not. So, really, Brad was completely in the right. He liked being right; it was a rare occurrence. Bradley just grinned and waved his hand dismissively for the thanks, "It was my pleasure," he assured her it was no hassle, not like he had anything else to do in the first place but he wouldn't say it that way out-loud; and, in all honesty, he really did want to be here for it. "It's what friends are for, right? I mean, when we're not helping each other out in highly illegal plots, that is," he personally, wouldn't hesitate if asked again. Especially if it involved him dressing up and dancing on roofs. |

Jordan was smiling and watching the little changes in Charlotte's face when she stirred, but she was still listening to the conversation. "And not hexing our friends friend's? Sorry, couldn't help it." All in good fun of course. But one thing she had noticed in the lobby? She wanted to bring it up but she wasn't really sure. It was why she had gotten up and gone for a walk even. Well besides the fact she just wanted to get up for a while. "Maybe while we're all in a good mood the two lovebirds would like to explain the ring I noticed Ella wearing." Way to be upfront about it right? But really, she was curious. She was aware though that Ella looked at her a bit surprised and maybe even with a look that suggested Jem should have kept her mouth shut. Hey, secrets were so not allowed. Not after all the crap that had happened lately. |

Bradley was just slightly startled at hearing Jem speak up again, especially when she spoke out about the incident that still made him slightly wince when referred to. Still, his lips twitched in what could have been mistaken for amusement, "That too," was the only thing he commented. Thinking it best to just let that drop, even if he knew she hadn't said so to be mean or vindictive or any of that sort of thing. Her next statement, however, had Bradley convinced that maybe Jem knew exactly what she was saying. She could be one of those quiet, observing, dangerous type of people. Well, she could if she really tried. "Ah, I was wondering when we would get to that," he admitted with a bit of an impish grin, putting his hands on Ella's shoulder, "Alright, well. . ." Wow, this was harder to say out loud, more so than he thought. "Ella, help me out here," he whispered down to her, with a nervous chuckle. |

Leave it to Jem to bring it up. Leave it to her actually notice and use it to her utmost advantage. She didn't blame her for being curious, but thank merlin Dante wasn't there right then. He knew, sure, but he'd still find the need to flip out about it. But how do you explain something like that? To Dante was one thing, but to practically a group of people? Right. Problem was she wasn't sure they would freak out about and what they wouldn't. It wasn't like say it and hope for the best. "Well...remember when I was gone for that...extended length of time? Basically that's how I met Brad. If Jordan had kept her mouth shut we would have actually figured out a way to explain." Hard. This was really hard. Why was it easy to explain to Dante and not her sister's? Or even Phin considering he was standing in the room too. That was just great. "Doesn't the ring sum it up?" Ella laughed, nearly nervously too. |

So, it was apparent that they were both lacking in the skill to explain their situation properly. Probably because they hadn't had enough time to mentally prepare themselves for the situation. He wasn't even sure if he should be preparing to run away or not. Sure, he was apparently a cool guy to be friends with, but when it came down to him being married to Ella well. . .he wasn't sure what to think. At least, Rose had Charlie in her hands, which immediately cancelled out the most harmful of threats. "Right, well see we woke up with rings on our fingers and just decided to go with it," he was probably the most surprised that day. Waking up married and going back to bed still married. But he still maintained the same thing; it wasn't that much of a big deal. "I lost my ring, it's why I'm not wearing it," he explained, an amused expression popping up on his face remembering the particular incident, "So, yes, we're married." He felt like he had to say it outright and straightforward at least once. Now, emergency exits are where? |

As focused on Charlotte as she was, she was paying attention to the conversation after Jordan's comment. Ring? Well now she noticed, but she hadn't really thought to look for one so she hadn't noticed. She was going to ask for an explanation, but they were both stammering over it. When it was summed up she was surprised to say the least. A secret marriage? Her family definitely had some issues. "You lost yours?" she directed at Brad, a hint of amusement to her voice. Maybe it wasn't a good thing to have lost it, but it was amusing that he had. Judging by the look on Jordan's face she seemed to have made a assumption that was proven right by the answer, but she wasn't saying anything. "I guess it is only right you're here then." Once the initial shock wore off she'd probably have a better way to react to it. Right now she was tired on top of everything. "See, now I hold you responsible for Els. If she gets hurt then you got a lot of Morvanna's to answer to," Rose teased. |

Brad laughed nervously on the question about the ring, scratching the back of his head as he thought about the event. Whoever heard of Mexican goblins? Well, he had now. "Long story short? I got into a drinking game with a couple of Mexican goblins and then I just noticed it wasn't there," he laughed, shaking his head, "Nasty little things," he commented under his breath before moving on to subjects that weren't embarrassing to remember. "I'm responsible for the trouble she's going to get into? Might as well just kill me now," he commented with a bemused grin on his face. Ella was a magnet for trouble; in fact, he used to be under that category once upon a time. Now he wasn't. . .at least, not as much. "We'll share the full story another time, it's quite..amusing," he said chuckling lightly, because it was. He would just have to leave out the parts that would get him lynched. |

"I think the both of you could stir up trouble enough for a whole city," Rose joked. Though she was sure that was certainly possible given some of the things she knew Ella to get involved in. Brad on the other hand she didn't know as well and she intended on doing so. "I bet it is." Plus judging by the amused grin on Ella's face that statement was true. Shifting Charlotte in her arms a bit she glanced at Gryphin before she carefully handed their daughter over to him to hold. She had been hogging her most of the time thus far even if she hadn't actually really noticed. "Okay as much as I love you guys, I'm tired and I'd appreciate getting some rest." Rose was attempting to be polite about what could be put bluntly as I need to you leave. She was glad they had all showed up like that. Having her family there, which she could count Brad as that too now apparently, was a good feeling. "I expect that story though when I get home. Besides, there is a lot to talk about apparently." |
