The limo ride was long, cut with Gabe and the other six members of their wedding party, the trip seemed like nothing at all. Her hand stayed in Gabe's, she really couldn't get enough of him. She they slowed down to a stop, the door beside Gabe opened up and they got out before letting everyone else out. Off the limo went until later when it would pick them up to go to the hotel. They were still early, so Leslie took Gabe around to the garden. |

After returning Katie to Emma, Lara had left the church, heading to the reception on her own. Will's small outburst had hurt her and made her realise that she really was doing this on her own. He wasn't going to ever support her decision to keep the baby and she had no one to talk to about it. Will didn't want her telling anyone. She'd been reminded of that when he'd mentioned he mother possibly guessing just by seeing her with Katie. When she arrived at The Mill, Lara slipped into the side reception room, set aside from the tables and dance floor, with sofas and tables, just fit for anyone looking for a few moments to themselves. She sank into one of the sofas, closest to the fireplace at the far side of the room, hugging aa cushion to her chest, and within moments, found herself crying quietly to herself, despite the joyous occassion of the wedding. |

It was her first year at Beaubatons, the end of a long week and everyone was down at dinner. Lara had excused herself early to head up the the common room to do some reading, curled up on the sofa with her book. She'd made few friends so far. Too shy. That was her problem. She spent quite a lot of time to herself, except when she was home for the holidays, and then her dad would take her out or her mum or aunt, and there were all the dinners and partes she was dragged to. There Lara was surrounded by people whether she liked it or not. Alone though, she could be herself. She'd only closed her eyes a moment, basking in the heat of the common room fire, but when she opened them again, she was no longer in the common room. Well... it was a common room of sorts, similiar, with sofas and a fireplace. But she was no longer at school and Lara was no longer alone. There was a girl... or a young woman maybe seven or eight years older than her... maybe a bit older than those in their seventh year at school, in the room with her. And she was sat, crying. The young woman looked a little but familiar... but Lara couldn't place her. She didn't know many people around that woman's age and she despite beig curious as to what was wrong, Lara was a bit unsure about talking to someone she didnt know. She felt nervous. Strange room, strange woman... Still, she thought at least making her presence known wouldn't hurt. "Ugh... hi." Her voice was barely audiable, clearly nervous. Lara bit her lip. "Are you, alright?" |

Lara had been in a world of her own, arms holding the cushion close to her chest, gaze locked on the fireplace. Why wasn't anything straight forward... simple? Her first relationship and she was knocked up... and the father wanted nothing to do with the baby. They couldn't even go the afternoon at her step-brother's wedding, without arguing. When a voice from the sofa across the way spoke up, Lara looked up startled, wiping hurriedly at her eyes. She hadn't realised there was anyone else in the room with her. She shook her head and glanced up, "No... I'm uh..." Lara trailed off as her gaze rested on the young girl sat on the other sofa. She was no more than eleven and Lara recognised her in an instant. She was staring at her own self. Her eleven year old self. Lara would know that face anywhere - short, petite, dark innocent eyes, chocolate brown hair tied back in low pigtails and that shy look of curiosity. Her father had always kept a photo of the two of them in his wallet, she'd been eleven at the time and after he'd passed away, she kept the same photo in her own purse. Her younger self was watching her funnily and she realised she must have frozen a few seconds in shock. "Lara?" The girl nodded and Lara got up moving to st next to her, offering a small smile. "Merlin! It's like looking in a mirror! I'm... your me.. or I'm you. You're in the future. Eight years in the future." She hadn't changed too much since she was eleven but then she was only nineteen now. Will was going to be mad if he saw her younger self. She could just see it now. She has visions of him assuming she had conjured their child or something crazy like that. "Why..? How are you here?" |

The woman was clearly shocked to see her, yet at the same time, the woman seemed to recognise her. Lara nodded when she said her name. "That's me. How do you know my name? Who are you?" It was rare that she'd actually talk to strangers. First thing a kid's taught about safety, right? But she didn't know where she was. Her questions were soon answered though, the other woman crossing from her seat to sit on the sofa beside her, watching her, looking at her. "I'm... you?" Lara's eye narrowed in uncertainly, now looking hard at the woman. She did look a lot like her... like she could be her big sister or her cousin. "The future? But then you're..." She paused to do the maths. "You're nineteen. I'm nineteen?" It was all rather dauting - a lot to take in for a girl who often shied away from company and just wanted a quiet, life. Lara tugged a cushion of her own onto her lap, her own face pale and shook her head as she was questioned. "I don't know. I didn't ask to be here. I wanted to be sat alone in the common room with my book and somehow I'm suddenly here" She gestured about the room. Lara had to admit she was scared. She could only do basic magic. How could this have happened and how did she get back home? Even if this woman was who she said she was, Lara didnt know her but at the same time, it was hard not to feel comfortable with her. "I don't want to be here. I want to bee home." |

Utterly curious about what was in store for him once he set foot in their hotel room later, Gabe squeezed Leslie's hand, following as they entered the restauarnt to the introduction of Mr and Mrs Law. The restaurant was beautiful and everyone was seating as far as they could tell. Leslie and Gabe followed suit and settled down for the speeches. The were lovely, spoken by Leslie's father, her maid of honor, Gabe's best man. He'd even toated his gorgoeus bride himself. The food had quickly followed cooked beautifully by the restaurant chefs. Then it was time for the first dance. Gabe stood, holding out a hand to his bride and bowing a tad over dramatically. "Leslie, my love. Would you care to dance?" |

Getting misty eyed from the speeches, she was glad the food came right after. It gave her a chance to just sit back and relax. Sitting was something that hadn't happened all day, so when her cousin came with a crying Maddie and a bottle, Leslie immediately plucked her from the poor girl's arms. Once the small family was done their dinner and Gabe asked for a dance, she found her cousin taking Maddie away again, and she was left to take her husband's hand. Together, they moved onto the dance floor where Leslie held herself close as they danced. When her brother started clinking his glass, a move that was echoed by a few of the Dukes who wanted to put Leslie on spot. She lowered Gabe's face to her's as they danced together. |

"It would seem so..." Lara nodded to her younger self, both as confused as the other. None of this made sense. "And yeah, I'm nineteen. We're here for my step brother's wedding. Well the reception now." She hadn't really thought about it but she was sure he absence must have been noted by someone by now. "You're eleven?" Her younger self nodded, a cushion now clutched to her chest. She was clearly unnerved, a little upset by the sudden change of scenery, no knowing how she got there. Lara could hardly blame her and tentatively reached forward to give her younger self a hug. There was something to be said at least for feeling a little maternal. "I know you don't. I remember what it was like at eleven. I remember always sitting alone reading in the common room." Little Lara looked at her curiosuly, perhaps really starting to believe this was real. "It does get a bit better. Or at least as you get older you don't mind it so much..." Lara heard the start of the speeches and moved away to poke her head round the doorward into the restaurant, before returning to her little self. "I dont think people are going to take to well to seeing you. After the speeches, I'll grab us each a plate of food and we'll sneak out back, okay?" She was met with a nod. |

William bounced about in front of who the big kid and his brother. The big kid, the one with his name had a plate of food and a drink, for a girl he called Lara. Running into the lobby he saw two girls on the couch and going to the younger one, he gave one of her piggy tails a good strong yank with a laugh. "Got floppy ears!" He teased, still laughing. He looked up at his bigger self who looked like he wanted to laugh, but he was reminded that there were lots of muggles and he couldn't talk about magic. |

Gabe took his wife's hand in his, lifitng it and laying it over his shoulde. His arms encircled her waist, holding her close, his forehead rested against hers as they swayed and turned to the music. So far so good. He hadn't trodden on any toes. At the sound of glasses clinking, Gabe didn't need telling twice, his lips were already lowering towards Leslie's brushing them lightly, before one hand lifted to caress her cheek, deepening the kiss. The rest of the room, just melted away. "Not too late to stand on my feet as we dance." Tighens grip on her waist and dips her. |

"I have a step brother?" Older Lara nodded but didn't explain further. Lara took that to mean she probably shouldn't say too much about her future. Didn't mean she wasn't curious though. So they were at a wedding. "I just started my first year at Beaubatons." Lara didn't try to force any sort of enthusiasm of the fact, into her voice. Her older self would know that she didn't feel comfortable there and just wanted to be at home with her family, instead of only seeing them Christmas, Easter and for the summer. And she did know. She knew how she spent most of her time reading alone, that she had few friends and was incredibly shy. Lara was intigued and if a little surprised to hear that things would potentially get better. Especially given the fact her older self had been crying when she'd first seen her. Lara stiffened slightly as she was hugged. Not used to or usually comfortable with being hugged. She felt awkward. And epecially with a woman she hardly knew, even if it was her. But it felt comfortable and Lara quickly found herself relaxing. "Thanks." The suggestion of food and heading outsde sounded best. If it was going to cause a disturbance her being there. They didnt get that far. Two people came into the room before they could slip out. One was a sort of cute guy a bit older than her older self and the other was a boy a little older than herself/ Lara eyed the latter carefully, noting the wary glare the older was recieving from her older counterpart. The younger approached her without a moments pause and Lara found herself wincing as her pigtail was yanked, yelping out in surprise. That had hurt and she smacked his hand away, glaring just as hard as her older self. "They're not ears. Theyre pigtails and that hurt! Why'd you do that?" The two guys looked alike and both were laughing. Lara shot the older one a glare for good measure, stepping back to stand close beside big Lara. |

Laughing, Leslie turned down Gabe's offer to stand on his feet while they danced. "You're doing well." She told him, caught off guard when he dipped her. When she was returned to standing, she couldn't help but laugh. As they continued to sway, Leslie occasionally piping in with a few words to the song. When it was finished, Leslie kissed Gabe again. "Y'know..." she started, biting her lip. "Once were done the obligatory dances, and the cake is done being served, we can make our getaway..." She suggested, then was interrupted by a hand on her back. Looking over, it was Stephan, another of the dances, though she could tell he was forced out here by her mother as Stephan was no dancer. |

William started oinking at the girl. "Nice piggytails, give a few oinks for good measure..." he laughed. He moved around behind the couch and slipped a whoopee cushion under the younger girl and with a wicked grin, he continued to bounce around, throwing a pillow at the bigger girl. He looked at the bigger girl. "Will said you weren't talking to him because you're pregnant and moody, but I never believed him 'cause you're not fat." He pointed out, loudly and blatantly. |

His feet were safe from being used as stepping stones. Perhaps his worry that he'd tread on her toes had been in vain. He was at least managing to pull off a few basic dance moves... at least the box step. He laughed as he dipped her, loving the sound of his wife's twinkling laugh and the sound of her voice as she sang along to the music. His lips brushed hers, smirking into the kiss as he foudn eh liked her way of thinking very much. "They won't even kno we're gone. And then.... you can show me what you have planned and we can enjoy our wedding night alone." Gabe smiled at his father-in-law as he approached, relinnquishing his hold of his wife and placing her hand in her father's. He turn crossed the dancefloor and held out his hand to his mother. "Mum? Care to join me up on the dancefloor?" His mother nodded, kicking off her heels with a light laugh. 'Yes, but unlike your brave wife, I will take that offer to stand on your feet.' |

When a young kid a bit older than her younger self ran in, soon after followed by Will, it didn't take a genius to figure out who the kid was. Lara gaze was hard on her boyfriend, glaring, wary. Glancing down at little Lara as the young Will tugged in her pigtails and teased her. Lara's glare darkened. Will wasn't doing anything to stop him, instead he was laughing. It wasn't a laughing matter. Lara's arm instinctively wet around her younger self as she stepped up beside her. "Will! He's your responsibility!" She then shot at glare at his younger counterpart as he oinked at young Lara. "She is not a pig and right now she's acticng more her age than you are." Lara felt something heavy whack her in the side and rounded on the young boy, clearly annoyed that Will wasn't taking any responsibility. Throwing things at a pregnant woman. Brilliant. And no doubt Will would just let him. "Watch it with that pillow and keep your voice down. He doesnt want anyone knowing." Her glare had turned icy on Will. "And just because I'm not fat doesnt mean Im not pregnant. Did no one teach you to be polite to your elders? Like your father perhaps.?" |

Will looked a little anxiously between Lara and the little girl. She looked almost familiar to him, it was unnerving. "Uh, I brought you dinner, but it looks like I am short a plate... This is ummm..." He looked around and saw that they were alone. "the 13 year old me..." He said looking at his younger self warily. But he was a funny kid, so Will didn't bother stopping him. Not even when he tugged the girl's hair since he did it to the big Lara less than a year ago. Will stopped laughing for a moment. "Bud, you gotta tone it down a bit." he gave him a gentle warning. Looking at Lara he made a cutting motion across his neck when she mentioned Ralston, but she clearly didn't see it. |
![]() Thanks to ANNA for the awesome sig! 5 Reasons I should accept Lara and the baby: 1) I am madly in love with her still 2) It is my baby after all 3) I am willing to pay child support, so why not go one step further and be a dad to the baby? 4) I am hurting Lara more than helping her 5) Did I mention I am madly in love with her and she is always on my mind? | |

Resting her head on her dad's shoulder, they twirled around. This was probably the best and worst day of his life. Happy to see that she was happy, but sad because he had to share her now. Almost reading his mind, Leslie rubbed his back. "Its okay dad, we'll still be close." She murmured for only him to hear. They both looked over at Gabe and Karen briefly and Leslie laughed at watching Karen dance on Gabe's toes. They were so adorable, Gabe really did love his mum and she was glad to be a part of that. "Remember when I used to do that?" She asked, and Stephan nodded, chuckling. Soon the song ended and the rest of the guests started to come onto the dance floor as the beat picked up. |

Lara scowled at the boy. This was why she kept to herself. No one seemed to want to be her friend, they just seemed to want to tease her for being shy or quiet. Or in this boy's case, teasing her about her pigtails. "And you're older than me?" She raised an eyebrow, helping to bat away the pillow thrown at her older self, then looked up at her wide eyed. "We're pregnant!?" But that had to mean she'd had friends... or a friend...It had to mean that she'd... Lara shot a glance warily between the older guy and her older self. Was he the father? She didn't talk to the older guy. She wasn't used to being around guys his age and she felt shy. Lara stepped even closer to herself. "Who's he? Is he... our... your boyfriend? Is he..?" She nodded at Lara's stomach. The older guy was trying to get his yunger self to quieten down. Whether it would work she didnt know. |

Clearly Will had noticed the familiarity betwee Lara and the young girl beside her. It was certainly clear that this was little Will, Will had walked in with. She ignored the plate, not quite ready for forgiving him for his outburst in the church earlier. Still hurt by it. "Meet me aged eleven. A get a reign on yourself. Can't you see she doesn't like the bullying?" Will did seem to try to get his younger self to calm down but in Lara's opinion inaffectively. She ignored the cutting motion. She'd met Ralston. She was surprised he hadn't at least taught Will to be respectful. Lara sighed as her youngerself asked about the pregnancy and nodded, glancing warily at Will before returning her gaze to to little Lara. "Yeah, you and I are having a baby. I guess we're coming up for a month and a half..." And she was being questioned about Will. "That's Will and yes... supposedly he's my boyfriend and the father of my baby." |
