Messy, very messy, with posters of some quidditch teams like the Falmouth Falcons, the slogan ("Let us win, but if we cannot win, let us break a few heads") being the only reason she has the poster up in the first place, and her personal favorite the Holyhead Harpies; female power anyone?

Tina was finally getting her work done. There was just so much paperwork, it was simply ridiculous. She was currently drafting a budget, as were several other people in the department right at that moment, but Tina was confident that hers would be the best simply because she was good with money, and a bit cheap at that. She had practically buried herself in work after the whole encounter with Faustus and came up with a new conclusion: she was mental. That, and he was wrong. He was dead wrong, it had just taken some time away for her to see that.

She had done nothing wrong. . .well, okay maybe a little bit wrong but dear Merlin, no reason to throw a ~censored~ing bitch fit over it. She could almost hex herself for half of the stuff she said, half of the things she was thinking. She wasn't worthless, hell no, ~censored~ that. So next time that he came around with that little attitude she was just going to have to bring him down a couple of levels. . .or maybe not. The eyes still freaked her out and she would do her best to avoid them.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door, her eyes lifted to it, almost glaring at it until she remembered that it could be somebody come to collect. In which case she was flooing away immediately. Merlindamnit, she told them never to come looking for her at work. But no, she wouldn't run away, it could also be a co-worker asking for help. Yeah, that was it. She shook her head a bit before calling out a small, "Come in," to whoever was at the door.

And instantly regretted it.

Her eyes narrowed at her very unwelcome guest, "What are you doing here?" she asked him in a quiet voice, wishing he would just leave her well enough alone.

NPC--Troy Mulligan

Troy smirked down at Tina when he walked in, closing the door behind him. Her reactions always amused him; they were more determined now. Not that that would last for very long. He had been driven away by her friend Lucan, sure, for some time. Time to let the dust settle, but she wouldn't be rid of him that easily. Besides, he needed her and she needed him. Or, she would soon enough.

"No words of welcome Tin-tin?" He asked teasingly, smirk still on his face as he pulled out one of the chairs and sat down on it, almost laughing at the way she cringed her teeth. Tina was very amusing, he liked her. She was such a breath of fresh air in this otherwise very clouded world. "I was just dropping by to say hi," he explained, leaning backwards on the chair and putting his feet on her desk.

Time for some well placed comments, "How have you been doing Tin? You're gaining some weight I see. . ."

She sincerely considered Troy a punishment for all her sins; past, present, and future. He was annoying, and infuriating and she failed to see why she had fallen for him in the first place. He was a first rank, prime asshole. He was also a cocky, loud-mouthed son of a bitch. "Can't you go find someone else's footsteps to haunt? I'm busy," she all but growled out at him, dipping her quill in the ink pot and starting to write on the piece of parchment again.

Well, that was before he put his feet on the desk and consequently the parchment. She smacked the feet away from her, knowing perfectly well the only reason they moved was because he allowed her to. He was toying with her, as per usual. She despised him; he was rotted to the very core, like a bad apple. The only difference was an apple could be easily thrown away or squished. She went back to writing.

At his comment about her weight, however, the quill stopped in mid-sentence, her face apprehensive. "That's not true." she muttered through clenched teeth. And even if it was true. . .so what? She controlled her weight, no one else. She could do whatever she wanted with her body and. . .Merlin, was she really gaining weight? Is that why- no! He was toying with her still. Damn bastard.

"Can you just leave? I already have enough shit to deal with, without having to deal with a giant sack of it formerly known as Troy."

Troy smirked when she started pushing his feet away, humoring her by taking them off the desk on his own. Her body strength was a lot better than some women, especially witches who often tended to use their wands for everything, but she was still weak against him. It was his duty to exploit that to the best of his ability, and he would. He leaned forward, taking a glance at her 'work' before he commented, "Handwriting still horrible, I see. Merlin, Tin, I don't know how you survive without me." He shot her a grin before returning to comfortably sitting back on the chair.

Regarding her weight, well of course she wasn't. She was perfect, but he couldn't let her know that. He had already planted the seed of doubt, so he would leave it be for the most part, "If you say so Tin. You know what you eat better than me." And that tended to be junk food, as long as she hadn't changed in the short months he had been gone. He didn't think so.

Troy merely grinned at her poor attempt to drive him away, before he leaned forward again, "Funny you should mention shit, that's exactly what the color of your hair reminds me of." He lifted a strand of her hair with two of his fingers and twirled it, laughing when she pulled away, smacking his hand. "You should dye your hair blonde or something, Tin. You definitely do not look twenty-three, thirty-three maybe, but not twenty-three."

Ignore him. That's what she was going to do. Ignore him to the best of her ability. She wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of knowing he was getting to her. Well, she really shouldn't even let him get to her like that, but she could work on that another day. For now, she just needed to get him the ~censored~ out of her office. The handwriting comment? Pft, she knew that already. She was teased about that frequently by everybody, so that little comment wouldn't do anything. "Actually, very easily." she replied to his question of surviving without him. Who the hell even let him enter the Ministry? She should file a restraining order or something.

Besides, she wasn't fat. . .she wasn't. She wasn't even gaining weight. If anything she was losing it because that's what she was striving to do- get back to normal after her pregnancy. "~censored~ you," was the only thing she muttered, refusing to look up at him. Well. . .she had tried to ignore him. He just had this pesky little way of getting under her skin, it made her want to lunge over the desk and strangle him.

Tina smacked her quill on her desk when he insulted her hair. That was the last straw, no one insulted her hair. Her hair was the one thing she actually liked, and damn him if he thought she should dye it. She smacked his hand away in annoyance before she stood up, and fiercely slammed her hands against the wooden desk, "Get the ~censored~ out of my office, Troy. Go and talk to someone who gives a shit what you think about them, because I don't."

Troy wasn't grinning, or smirking any more. He was frowning, very seriously frowning. This was not his Tina, his Tina caved into him, came running to be comforted by him. She never back talked or anything, she just accepted anything he said and ran with it. He didn't know what to do, he was losing her and fast. He couldn't let that happen, he had to have her under his control. She couldn't do that to him, after all their years together she didn't get to do that.

He breathed out a sigh, but he started grinning again at her '~censored~ you' comment, "Oh with pleasure. How does right now sound?" His grin didn't last for long though, because now she wasn't only ignoring him, she was defying him. He didn't appreciate that, at all. He stood up and walked a couple of steps towards her, running the back of his hand up her arm and to her face, surprised she didn't flinch. Not once. "Who's the guy, Tina? Huh, what pathetic excuse for a man is trying to take you away from me?" he whispered harshly, his hand grabbing on to her chin and pulling her forward, "Answer me."

If that was the way he needed to be with her then so be it.

Her hand twitched at her side, wanting to slap Troy for that comment. He just really didn't know when to quit did he? She was done with this, over it, finito. She wasn't about to cave in to whatever this sick little game was. And the sicker thing was that he had done this to her before. Every single ~censored~ing time, he had done this to her. Well he could go suck one. A big hairy one for that matter, the ~censored~ing asshole.

"I rather claw my own eyes out to tell you the truth," she muttered through clenched teeth. Just the thought of it made her sick to the stomach. He was simply disgusting, and that was it. When he moved over to her she really just wanted to kick him or scream but she just remained silent for now. The shiver that ran down her spine when he touched her was that of revulsion and absolute disgust. She wanted him out of there. Now.

When he pulled her face forward, she skipped the whole cursing and yelling at him for even thinking about touching her, and went straight to causing him physical harm. More specifically? She kneed him in the groin. He didn't fall to the ground like she wanted to but that was simply a bonus. While he was bent over in pain, she yanked his ear and said once more, "I said get the ~censored~ out of my office."

Still holding on to his ear she pulled him forward and out of her office letting him fall to the floor. Her coworkers all stopped in their tracks and looked at her and the man currently calling her merlin knows how many insults; Tina just breathed out and turned to one of them and said, "Can you call security to have him escorted out? Thank you." She walked back in to her office, slammed the door behind her and went to sit down behind her desk again. She took a deep breath again and looked down at herself.

Maybe she would skip lunch today.

Tina was working because she didn't have anything else to do. It was a workday, it was 11:47 a.m. and working was the only thing that she could do. Waiting was almost unbearable, waiting for the day she would hear from...anybody really, with news, any news. Although, it would most likely be bad news. She was already suspecting a death, and how much worse could things get? Wait, never mind, she took that back. Things could get very much worse, and very quickly; been there, done that, got the bloody t-shirt to prove it- quite literally.

It was a knock on the door that pushed some sense back into her, causing her to lift her head from her hand which had been supporting it up, afterwards casting a quick look at the great amount of documents on her desk. The Quidditch World Cup was almost here and consequently everyone around the department was hustling and bustling around trying to get everything done so, it wasn't a co-worker knocking on the door, at least.

"Come in," she spoke out, taking her glasses (her new glasses that she apparently needed to read like some kind of old woman) and placing them on her desk as she looked up. Seeing who was at her door, however, caused her to grin and leap right over the desk as she exclaimed, "Gavin!" immediately jumping on him as she hugged him.

"You didn't tell me you were back!"

Gavin laughed as he found himself having to hold his sister up as she hugged him, and he hugged her back. He set her done with a kiss on her cheek, and a quick grin as he ruffled her hair. "Hey Sn! I missed you." Sn as the chemical symbol for Tin...yes, he was just the slightest bit nerdy at times; he could live with that though. He had a wide array of nicknames for his little sister. He hugged her again, squeezing her as she protested about it. Gavin laughed and pulled away, allowing her to lead him to sit in one of the chairs her office.

"I wanted to surprise you," he explained as he sat down, Tina sitting down in the seat next to him instead of across the desk. "I'm on vacation, and you sounded like you needed your favorite big brother back," he grinned confidently, almost joking because he wanted to keep the ambiance light.

Tina had stopped writing in her usual detail and resorted back to basics for far more than a few months now. Then Jonathan shared that he and Tina had gotten into a horrible fight that didn't seem to look like it was going to mend anytime soon, so Gavin took his vacation early.

"So what's up Tin? Start by telling me how much you missed me."

Tina let out a very girlish and unlike her squeal as Gavin hugged her again, basically knocking the wind out of her. She tried to do the same thing to him, but it didn't have the same effect, so she pushed at him as she laughed, "Gavin you're choking me!" She continued laughing with him as he pulled away and ushered him even further into the room with a wave of her hand, as she closed the door with her foot behind him.

She sat down next to him, grinning as he explained. "Well, I'm glad you did." She had missed him a lot, especially now when everything was just so crazy. She needed someone stable in an ever-changing world. And Gavin was right, he was her favorite big brother, especially right now, but she didn't comment on that for fear of starting a twenty minute insult rant.

"I missed you so, so much!" She told him honestly, smiling before she hit him in the shoulder. "Now, stop being such a cocky bastard!" She laughed and shook her head. "Everything's been...complicated. Way too much to go over now. How about you?"

Gavin expected an answer like that. He wouldn't be her brother if he didn't know her tendencies and habits. Avoiding something particularly difficult was only expected, they were a bit like that actually. Took after their father in that aspect. The difference with Tina was that when she was ready to talk about it, she wouldn't stop until she was finished. Wasn't very effective when wanting to keep secrets though.

"You know, same. We recently got brought in a baby Chinese Fireball, he's trying to fit in, but he keeps being bullied. We tried to make it so we could attempt to domesticate him but he was already too old." Gavin shrugged; he didn't particularly enjoy trying to tame dragons, but whatever got him the money. "We're trying to get an egg, train it since birth." Merlin knew the adults were rightful little ~censored~ers to try and deal with. He had burn marks and the scars to prove it. But it was always fun, always.

"And I'm sure this is just so ~censored~ing interesting to you, eh?" he asked sarcastically, grinning from ear to ear.

Tina appreciated Gavin understanding her need to bypass her own life. He was always there for her when she needed, and he'd never judge or tell her she was a ~censored~ing idiot, or a looney that needed to be put down. Which is also why she hated lying to him, and keeping things from him. She was being selfish right now, and she wanted to enjoy his company before she had to divulge that Jonathan was a Death Eater and that their mother was not only alive, but killing people for money, like she had been doing for practically all her life. But as it was, she had to, just not right now. If Tina didn't know that Gavin was the most forgiving person in the world, she wouldn't even consider stalling like she was doing now.

"No, it's the shittiest subject in the world," she replied just as sarcastically, rolling her eyes and sticking her tongue out at him, "It's a ~censored~ing bore, stop talking." She laughed and avoided the hand that went to try and ruffle her hair again. It was so easy to fall back into annoying little sister mode when she was with Gavin. She loved him so much, she loved all her family members, even Jonathan, even now. Her mother though...that was another subject. And possibly the only exception to the rule.

"I'm glad you're here Gav, I really have missed you, you know."

Teasing his little sister, being teased back, it was almost backk to normal. If Jonathan and Tina weren't at odds then he would suggest all of them getting together, playing a game of poker at a local bar, watch football on the telly as they picked, and bet on, sides on who would win, bet on everything they possibly could for that matter. That's the memory he had whenever he thought about his family; definitely not this separated and divided entity that they had become. And as always, Gavin would be trying to fix it. He didn't know the severity of the problem, but he wouldn't be discouraged.

"I'm glad to be here, Red," this time, he was able to ruffle her hair, the reason for that particular nickname. "When do you have your break? We should go eat, I'm bloody starving." He patted his stomach as he leaned back in the chair, never mind that he had eaten breakfast not too long ago. "I would offer drinks but seeing as you have to come back to work..." Drinks could be left until later.

Tina slapped his hand away as he ruffled her hair once more, combing through her hair quickly with her fingers to try and get it back to its original state. Sometimes, she didn't even bother with her hair; it was way too unruly to be tamed, but she tried anyways; much like Gavin's case with dragons. They were a stubborn family, stubborn to the point of stupidity; not a legacy to be passed on to. She tied her hair in a loose ponytail, a few strands falling against her cheeks as she did so, before she looked down at her desk at his question of going out.

"I haven't taken a break in a week...so much to do." She didn't even know she hadn't taken a break until right now, it hadn't crossed her mind to take one. Unlike Gavin, she wasn't very hungry lately. "You're always 'bloody starving'," she commented with a grin and a brief shake of her head.

"Not to mention the fact it's barely noon, alcoholic." She commented laughing as she stood up, hitting him in the back of the head as she went around to her desk, collecting all the documents, putting them in their respective folders and then taking all the folders and putting them in the cabinets behind her; designed to open to no one but her.

She was protective over things that were hers, whether it was work files or not.

Turning around, she grinned at Gavin and, practically bouncing, she exclaimed, "Let's go!"

Gavin raised his eyebrow in surprise as Tina revealed to him that she hadn't taken a break all week. That was oddly bizarre, but seeing the state of the whole department when he had walked in, he wasn't exactly too surprised. He had practically been run over by an arguing duo as they made through the hallways, flying memos hovering over them. It was chaos. It was his kind of environment.

"Yes well I, unlike you, am normal and therefore need food, you redheaded robot." He needed food..quite frequently actually. With a job like his, it was important to have good nutrition. Well, that was the formal story, anyways. Wrangling in savage beasts also built up a hearty appetite. But he was on vacation, and he didn't want to go soft; to the gym every day.

"It's five o'clock somewhere," he stated with a grin the most overused of lines in the history of mankind, in his opinion. But there was a recent the classics, remained the classics.

Seeing Tina get all her files in order, Gavin just sat back and looked around the room. The posters were amusing, the autographed brooms hanging on the wall were great, a Quaffle that looked like it was made from gold was....purely Tina. With an amused grin on his face, he turned his attention back to his sister after she declared she was ready to go, and stood up. "Great! But, you're going to ditch the uniform right? I can't be seen with a Ministry rat," he joked.

"And you, unlike me, are a gluttonous pig. But I love you," she laughed; she couldn't help but to do anything else. For the first time in a while, she was in higher spirits than she hoped ever to be. If she pretended that nothing else was wrong as well, she found it easier to have a good time with her brother. So she was intent on doing that right up until he had to go, and she had to return back to work. The sadness trying to devour her could wait maybe an hour, she was sure of it.

Tina ignored the comment; she knew he was joking. It was too early for alcohol for the both of them. Well, now it was too early for her. A couple of weeks ago, however, she would have already been pretty far in. Tina was just glad Gavin hadn't arrived before; she would have been so ashamed to be seen in such a state by him.

Faking a surprised and shocked gasp, Tina hit him on the shoulder before she answered, "As soon as we're out of the ministry, it's going in my purse, gambler's honor." She raised her right hand as she did so, chuckling a bit at the irony of her words before reaching out to grab her purse. After she made sure she hadn't left any stray papers behind, Tina ushered Gavin right back out her office and after locking the door behind her, they proceeded to exit the Ministry to find somewhere to eat lunch so they could talk and catch up more.
