Cassie sighed as Amaris handed over the potion to Brandin. Well, everyone was just Imperiused, weren't they? What was next? It was annoyingly full of surprises so far. Catalina brought up disillusioning themselves, and maybe that would work. She didn't have time to think on it, because soon afterward, the Aurors started showing up. When Lynx mentioned that they didn't have to go, she couldn't help but sigh. Sure, maybe she'd gotten a little carried away with the whole prospect of her saving the day or something, but it would have been pretty awesome. She did want to help, but there were Aurors now, and they were far more qualified than she, who could barely keep track of her own wand, was. Switching back and going home actually sounded like a much better idea than rushing off into a dangerous situation with no training of the sort. Not to mention, she was still Amaris, which meant she was still pregnant, and maybe rushing off into a dangerous situation with no training and being pregnant was a really stupid thing to do. She hardly wanted to risk the baby just because she wanted to be the hero. So, Cassie stood back and leaned against the wall. After all, Catalina was the one with the knife, it wasn't like she could switch herself, and she was in no rush to end up like Jana and Juls. So, she just waited for whatever she was supposed to do next. Switch, wait here. She wasn't sure yet. |

Sam arrived back with the others, frustrated to see that the same argument was still going on, basically. Of course, now that the Aurors were there, things could pick up the pace. And she was honestly very relieved to hear that Lynx didn't want non-Aurors going. She just wanted to go home, now that that goal was fully in sight. But... her body. She knew Lina, as an Auror, would want to go to the fight. She knew that she, as a witch not very talented in offensive spellwork, would not want to go to the fight. And she honestly wasn't that comfortable with her body heading off into battle. Because Merlin forbid it died without her in it. And she was trapped in someone else's body...forever. No. That just would not do. Approaching Lina, she spoke with her quickly and quietly where it was decided they wanted to switch before the battle. And they headed over to Cat. "I need you to switch us back before the battle. We both agreed that we want to be woken up right away," she said. And before she knew it, she was being rendered unconscious... |

Cat moved a reluctant hand to the knife she currently possessed. She did not want to use it again. Yes, she knew she had to switch everyone back, but she was counting on being able to do it in one large group, like alst time. At least, although there was more to do at once, she could use the knife one time and take a while to just...recover from that, rather than using it multiple times for one switch. But when the two asked, she figured that was just getting one more person to go help rescue Caleb - because her cousin clearly wasn't open-minded enough to let anyone go, despite needing the help - so she knocked them out and prepared the switch. A couple of strokes with the knife later, had Sam and Lina completely back where they belonged. Cat made sure her hand was steady before dropping the knife out of sight and into her bag again. "Ennervate." |

Well that was typical. Call for the authorities and have them enter and tell absolutely everyone else what to do. Honestly, Jana could see her point about untrained professionals. Particularly as currently Lynx had a twin as she looked at her. Wasn't double-vision fun? Except she wanted to go. She did not want to just sit there waiting, while Caleb was partaking in some ritual, poisoned, while others fought. She hated that. It was why she wanted to be trained in the first place, why she wanted to learn how to fight and defend. How many times was she just going to be left behind, while someone she cared about was in danger? How many times now had she just sat there and watched them rush off and have no way of being able to help? Caleb was in serious trouble. She didn't want to fight. She didn't want to barge in, spells blazing, taking out these psychopaths and getting aimed at herself; she wasn't ready for that, she knew she wasn't ready for that. It wasn't that. Caleb had been dosed with something, some potion, he was poisoned. Whatever it was could not be good. And it had affected him in what way? She'd sat there, watched him, blank, devoid. Unfeeling, dismissive, uncaring...he wasn't even there. She didn't know anymore what Caleb she'd even been talking too- which Caleb had been talking to Juls, who he was, if he was even there. And she couldn't go? She couldn't do anything? "No." She muttered it, trying not to really look at anyone, mumbling to herself, upset and annoyed. "I don't even know if he's..." And she finally shut her lips, because she just was not going to go there. The room was spinning again. Of all the people in the room, of course, her eyes had set on Llian's back and she gripped the iron bar tighter. She wanted to go, dammit. "Dammit." Dammit, dammit, dammit. Then she heard Juls and Llian and she straightened up again, startled to hear 'switched back'. They could tell about it now? Oh, fantastic. She nodded to Llian and said, "With me." And the littlest smirk she possibly had ever had crossed her lips. Yes, Llian, it had been her, and Juls had been her, and it had been Juls with Caleb and now he was... Dammit. They were bringing him back. "Ask questions later, because..." She paused. "If you know about the ritual, you know Caleb's there, right?" And she arched her eyebrow, shut her eyes again, and gripped that iron bar all the tighter. |

When Sam woke up, she was surprised to find that she was on some sort of spinning table. Or... no. The ceiling was just spinning above her. Again, no. Nothing was supposed to be spinning, was it? Yet she found everything in front of her eyes whirling dangerously out of control, causing her to immediately scramble to get up in the vain hope that a change of position would help steady herself. Sitting up did help a little, although the nausea followed soon after. She felt strange, like she didn't really belong in her own skin... Her... own skin. Delighted despite the awful physical feelings, she forced herself to stand. No matter how awkward it felt, it was still her body, and she was damn well going to enjoy being back in it. As soon as she stood, though, she had to instantly lean back against the wall - standing was not her friend. So she stood, taking it all in, wondering if she actually had the strength to apparate home. Probably not yet. Deep breath in, deep breath out. The room was still reeling in front of her. Wishing there was something she could do about it, she closed her eyes and immeidiately tried to envision a straight line going from across the room and through her forehead, keeping her up straight. Pleased to see that it was sort of working, her next mission became to walk across the room. And she did so, albeit slowly, making her way over to Pierce and coming to an unsteady stop in front of him. "Ok. I'm me again, but how are you?" she asked him quizically. He'd been acting so strange at the Ministry that she knew something had been wrong. |

Hmmm. See, that was a problem. Just wait there? Watching everyone else get switched back? Leslie wasn't there. Cat had said that some of them could be at the ritual. The longer and longer the wait was, the longer she was convinced there was a possibility her body was one of the 'them'. And as it was, she was fully aware people didn't tend to take care of other's things as well as their own. "Kelly Daniels, Ministry Official." Kel finally spoke, uncrossing her arms and standing straighter. Leslie had a bit more height on her than Kel was used to, and if she wasn't so stressed and worried she might have taken some satisfaction from being able to look some people in the eye. "I believe my body is at the ritual as well." Well, it was different, wasn't it? "And I completely understand why you don't want untrained and clearly emotionally involved members going, but look. It's not a loved one, it's a friend, a lover, or a family member. It's my body." Kel wasn't sure how it would be taken, if she would just be told to stay, but her mind was made up. "I'm going. I'm fully capable, and I won't get in your way. But I'm going." |

Ten years of hang-overs usually gave one experience with waking up to a killer headache. Lina had to admit this one took the cake. She stayed laying still for several minutes, eyes shut, attempting to give herself as much time as possible to adjust. Then she sat up, counted to ten, breathing in and out on each syllable. All right. Disoriented, check. Killer headache, check. Back in her own body, check. She checked her arm first, reaching for her wand and steadying herself against the wall. Whenever Catalina was ready to divulge, she was. She was going, she was helping, no matter if she felt like she was about to faint or not. Sleeping, at least, no longer seemed like the best thing ever created. A stiff drink might help (probably not with the double vision), but she was far more awake and alert than she had been a moment ago. Ow. Whatever. The chance to kick ass after the hell they'd just been through, the adrenaline beginning to pump through her veins, her heart-rate quickening...all of it had the unbelievable feel of, "Good to be back." So naturally she said that outloud, and then turned to Sam stiffly. "Brett's with Sean. The animals are fine; your job's secure." And then focused all her energy on the task at hand as Sam walked away from her. Ritual. Field work. Hell yes. Edited by Carolina Bradbury, Sep 14 2009, 06:21 AM.

Pierce had just looked around the room, trying to place names with faces, trying to count the number of people on the list versus the people in the room, minus their group of aurors. As he did that though, he was instead met with the experience of watching Sam be switched back into her body. It looked painful, uncomfortable. Really, who would create such a thing? It was ridiculous. When she was woken up, Pierce looked away, back towards what he was supposed to be doing - paying attention to orders and being ready to leave - so that he wouldn't be caught staring. Yet, he couldn't help but watch her as she moved through the warehouse, concerned. He wanted to reach out, and steady her, but he wasn't sure if she was leaving or coming to him, so he just watched, ready to catch her if she fell, or what not. But when she spoke to him? He did move forward and gather her in his arms, job be damned. One second wasn't going to hurt anyways, and she looked faint on her feet. "I can't believe..." He had to smile, "-that after all you've been through and what you just did you're actually over here asking me how I am." Crazy, insane woman. Just the way he liked them, of course, but still senile. |

Amaris immediately felt better when the vial was out of her hands; she nodded her head at Brandin's expressed grattitude because honestly she had no idea what to say. 'Your welcome'? For what, being dumb enough to get imperiused in the first place? 'My pleasure'? Oh, trust her it was cerntainly not. 'No problem'? Hell yes, there was a problem. 'Anytime'? Pft, she didn't even have to explain that one. Really, the language should come up with phrases for these types of situations, they seemed to follow her quite a bit. She retreated back, quietly, a few a steps to where Franco was. At least she knew he wouldn't ask questions, he would understand. His hands going back to rest on her shoulder proved that, at least. Then, the aurors came in, and while a part of her wanted to sigh in relief, another part of her wanted to groan in exasperation. She knew that as soon as they came, they would restrict people from going to the ritual thingy to stop whatever it is that's going on there. She sighed, that was a bit upsetting. "Lynx, with your permission, I'd like to come along as well. I'm not entirely without training. . .I'm just a trainee, but I think I could be of help." Especially if it came to down to a head on fight, she was good at that. And automatically, as expected, Franco made sure to reprimand her by saying her full name warningly. Eww, the use of the middle name was not necessary. But she refused to even acknowledge it; she wanted to go, damnit, she was a big girl and if she wanted to fly in to a dangerous situation she would. Er. . .with her boss's permission, of course. |

Juls hadn't moved when Llian addressed her, although it was her. She probably was just exhaused and not feeling great after everything she'd been through. So Llian just took it upon himself to close the distance between them. And then he was hugging her, their first physical contact in a month. Or... more now? Yes, he was aware that he had a job to do. But he was listening carefully for any orders or mentions of where he had to go. So far he'd heard nothing, and everything in the warehouse was actually pretty tame. He could embrace Juls comfortably and unrushed, so that was exactly what he did. The feel of having her in his arms was pretty much exactly how she felt the last time he'd held her, just like he remembered. Except this time he wasn't remembering. She was really there, really safe. "I missed you," he murmured into her hair. He glanced up when he heard Jana's 'with me' in addition to what Juls had said, a surprised eyebrow going up. So Jana and Juls had been switched. Well, that certainly explained why Juls had suddenly been 'sick' for a month. Of course, Jana's main concern was definitely apparently Caleb. Llian nodded at her last question. "Yeah, I know he's there. And don't worry; we'll get him back," he said. He knew it was probably killing her right about then that she couldn't go, and he understood, he really did. But if everyone went and just turned into more people that the Aurors needed to keep an eye on... Things could get messy. Fast. |

Lynx, of course, had been expected to be bombarded with requests of people wanting to go join in. Andy was first, and honestly? Lynx felt she would be beneficial. It was weird to see her in Meredith's body of all people, but she knew Andy. She was good in battle, having had tons of experience in it and having been an Auror herself, only leaving the force to opt to take care of her children. "All right, Andy. You can come. You too Amaris," she added. She figured that since Amaris was already a trainee, they could use all the help they could get. "Anyone who's an Auror or trainee is welcome to join us," she decided to just announce to the whole room to save the trouble of more questions like that. Glancing over at Julie, who was standing and staring ahead disturbingly blankly, Lynx sighed. Well, there was another one down. For now, hopefully. To Julie's husband, she added, "You can take her home. I'd much rather she didn't come with us, and we're not bringing her." Out of the corner of her eye, she caught a somewhat shocked expression on Cat's face. To her cousin, she resisted the urge to roll her eyes and replied, "Trust me, Cat. I know what I'm doing. And I know that we don't bring the people they want with us. Julie's best off at home right now." And then she turned to address Kelly Daniels, who had just approached her. "Your...body is there?" Well, that was a new one. "All right, listen: I get that your body is there and you want to make sure nothing happens to it. But the fact of the matter is, you're in someone else's body, and I really don't think putting that body in danger is a good thing. We're trained to handle these situations, and we'll do everything we can to make sure your body comes back unharmed," she said. "But right now? I don't think it's a good idea for you to come with us." |

Juls was a little surprised when Llian moved forward and hugged her, but the truth of the matter was, she didn't know how everything worked and she was more than happy to be there, in his arms. So she just wrapped her arms around his neck and rested her face against his shoulder, her eyes closing again. She really was tired, but she was more enjoying having the moment of comfort. Things were very, very slowly starting to steady, not a lot, just a little to let her know things would be alright. What he said just made her smile, despite him not being able to see it, and answered back just as quietly, "I missed you too." A moment later he was straightening up, and she nodded again to Jana's 'with me', content for the moment to just stay where she was. After all, it'd been...what? Two months? Two and a half? |

Her stomach twisted slightly, and Jana just looked away as he held Juls. It was right, perfectly right, that he should-- he didn't even know she was pregnant yet -- and she was happy for him. Really. She was. But watching him bring her into his arms...she had to look away. Caleb wasn't there. She couldn't even see him, let alone hold him, or tell him it was gonna be okay, or how bloody much she'd missed him. She couldn't do any of it. All around her, actually, there were people doing that; hugging each other, saying how much they missed them, how glad they were that it was over... Dammit all it was not over. Kel, stepping into the middle of the room, clearly understood that. Those gearing up to fight were understanding of that. Brandin hiding a vial of an 'offending potion' understood it-- Catalina, of all people, agreed with her here. It was not bloody over, and she wanted to go with them, right now dammit, and leave the reunions for when it really was over. Except then Llian was talking to her, and she looked back, a little surprised. Her hand slipped free of the bar as she heard him acknowledge how worried she had to be and her arms gripped themselves instead. Momentarily stunned, she arched her eyebrow saying simply, "I trust you." Well? She did. "I just wish I could ... go, Llian. I can't do anything for him, I don't even know..." How he is. What happened to him. And it was absolutely mind-boggling. Not to mention that Llian, considering how well he and Caleb got along... " I know why I can't, but that doesn't bloody mean I wouldn't." She said it firmly, arms tightening on themselves, jaw setting. "I just want to be there for him." It really was startling to hear that Llian understood, that he was talking to her, so it didn't matter to her that he was holding Juls, that they were together. It didn't matter at all; she wanted them to be happy. Both of them, and baby. No, the only thing that mattered to her was that he was trying to help her, and that...that meant the world. |

Kel had expected that, and honestly? She wasn't taking no for an answer. She didn't really care, whether or not the head auror was telling her no. She wasn't Kel's boss, and Kel had been the one fighting this battle for the past month, not Lynx. So Kel didn't think she could just stop and leave it unfinished. It was finished when she was in her own body, and she was going to go get it herself. Her eyebrow simply went up in slight 'yeah? too bad' attitude, her wand still being fingered. Permission was simply a courtesy, not an actual request. She was going, and that was final. But Kel didn't say anything else to the head auror, thinking it entirely pointless to argue something clearly neither of them were going to budge on. Instead, she just waited to hear the location. |

Franco sighed, the ministry was getting involved now. He didn't know what was the lesser of two evils- the government or a group of untrained, emotional, switched people. Sure, he understood that government was a necessary evil and what not, but really he and authority just didn't clash. He didn't like being told what to do, he didn't like following other people's rules but at the same time he felt too tired to really argue. So when the Head Auror told them they couldn't go he, begrudgingly, agreed. It really shouldn't have been a such a surprise that Amaris wouldn't agree. He was going to have to speak to her about this whole seeking out danger problem she has after this was over. He knew aurors were insane, but this was ridiculous. "Amaris Delis Tudor." Wow, that sounded more like a parent than a friend; he was going to have to try again. He sighed and turned her around, stubborn woman, "Listen, I know you like to play hero every now and again-" If she hadn't protested that statement, he would have worried. He took her hands in order to stop her from talking (she used her hands to talk, without the ability to move her hands, she'd stop talking) "-but just, don't do anything reckless, or stupid okay?" That really was just wishful thinking, but he needed to at least hear it. Otherwise the 'Mother Coco' part of him wouldn't let her go. Once she assured him, he nodded and gave her a quick hug, before she left his side to get closer to where the aurors were standing. Franco just sighed and ran a hand through his hair, this was too stressful and exhausting. |

When Sam found herself securely supported in Pierce's arms, she couldn't help but breathe a small sigh of relief at the simple fact that she could lean against him. Walking had been hard, a little too hard for her to feel comfortable with moving much at the moment. It was nice to have a bit of physical support. Of course, instead of answering his question, he turned things back around on her. She nodded against his chest. "Well of course. I'm fine. I just my body back. A little rest, some time with my son, I'll be good as new," she declared. No, she didn't feel great, but she could deal with it. "And honestly: did you expect me not to ask?" she continued with a small laugh, although she was still concerned. "You found out what happened to me, and that was supposed to be fatal, and then I didn't hear from you, and the next time I did see you, you were...acting a little strange," she said. "So... naturally, I'm concerned. Are you all right?" She leaned back slightly, not stepping out of his hold, but just enough so that she could double check that he wasn't injured. Physically, he was fine. For now. Of course, they were on their way to a battle, after which he would hopefully still be fine. |

Andy smiled thankfully at Lynx, at least she wasn't going to keep her from the action. As it was Andy wanted to take out her frustration on whoever did this to them. Flicking Meredith's wand she summoned ehr own, if she was going into a fight it'd be with her wand, and surprisingly enough it still felt right in her hand, as if it still recognised her. "Alright, so we're wasting time here, the rest of us can get switched back when we have every body back here." She told Lynx impatiently, pulling the blonde hair she had gotten used to over one shoulder. "Max, Alfie and Leo need their mommy back, and if "Kel" here said that her body might be at the ritual, it means Leslie is there, and I'm sorry, leaving a child without a mother isn't okay with me, we need to get her out. I say someone stays close to Cat here just so there's no funny business from her, and I have other means of making sure she doesn't elude us and screw us over." The smile on her face as she looked at Cat was not a friendly one. |

It wasn 't like Pierce didn't notice her sigh, or how she was supporting herself against him. He just held her firmly, but gently, and his hand rubbed up and down her back on it's own accord. He had to smile at her optimism, though, and responded, "Well I'm glad you're back in your body, and I'm sure Brett can't wait to see you..." He really didn't think that people playing each other would really succeed. Of course, she was right. He did expect her to ask, if he had really thought about it. He just hadn't. And then suddenly he remembered they were supposed to be having breakfast that day after, but he had forgotten, and then he had tried to avoid her so he didn't have to lie to her. Great, and he worried her. "I'm fine." He told her, eyebrows furrowing slightly as she leaned back to look at him. "I was imperiused, but one of the conditions was not to help. And clearly I'm here...helping. So I think it's broken...but whereas I'm okay, I was slipping something, blood thinners, I think....into Kelly's drinks." He had clearly heard the woman with black hair and blue eyes announce who she was. And he was thinking that he was drugging someone for a reason, now. "But I'm going to go get her back. I'm sorry." |

Jen had given up and sat down on the floor. To hell with it. They were just talking and making decisions that she wanted to make on her own. Being outspoken hadn't worked. Go figure. "If I bloody tell you that I am at fault for something then will you switch me back? I'll have my confessional then or whatever you want to call it. I'll even go and help." Desperate times call for desperate measures. She wanted to go home but if she had to she'd help out. The Auror's were there anyways and she figured they were more trained to deal with the situation than anyone else. Some people were switched back already and she had calmly sat aside till right then. "Happy reunion and all for you lot, but some of us are not so happy." She felt invisible the way they kept on talking. Hello, undead not dead. Two different things. "But I'll just be here, sitting on the floor. No biggie. You just go do what you do." Pft she was about to lay on the floor after all this. |

The happy reunions and random people switching back was really starting to get on her nerves. Sure, she was happy that they were happy, and sure, she was glad people were switching back. But that extremely selfish side of her was bugging her. And Jentry had a point: some of them weren't happy. Herself included. She'd probably get snapped at by Catalina since 'she hated using the knife' and all, but whatever. She was irritating, anyway. "Hey, brilliant idea," Cassie spoke up, though the sarcasm was ridiculously noticeable in her voice. "How about... we all get switched back, except for that Andy chick over there, and then you guys can go save the day, and those of us who aren't helping can go home and sleep or something? Or at least me and Amaris? Please?" Well, it sounded like an awesome idea to her, though she doubted everyone else would see it her way. At least she said please. That had to count for something.
