There were too many people, too many people to handle one situation. Too many untrained people handling the situation, that was a problem. Amaris was the first one to walk in and try to get the woman to put down the gun, too many people followed after. Not a very good idea, sure it was honorable, brave, doing the right thing, yadda yadda yadda, whatever. He wasn't going to get into that situation, they already had too many people in there. Instead he turned to the woman who was currently tied up on the floor. Very obviously ticked off, and apparently she had information that they needed. He flicked the wand in his left hand, cutting the ropes that were tying her up. The wand went right back to pointing at her though, along with the gun. Trust no one right? "Alright, you're untied. How will you help?" Yes, the word was 'will', not 'can', but will. |

There wasn't a whole lot to think about anymore. People were telling her to put the gun down. A lot of people were telling her that, actually. And if they were all saying it, then why shouldn't she do it? So when a hand covered hers, it wasn't very difficult for her to relax her grip on the weapon and let go. Looking around at all the people that were there - when had they gotten there? - she was a little confused, unsure of what to do. "So, what now?" she asked no one in particular, not having moved from the one spot she was standing in except to relinquish the gun to Jace. |

Jana simply shook her head, no caring a wit for any remark of Catalina's that had to do with 'let me out and I'll help you'. Not when they actually had someone sitting there who had real information, clearly. "Erm, no, see...I don't follow your orders anymore, and I really don't think anyone in here is feeling very endeared towards you Cat, not right now. See, you forgot the part that if you lead us here, you clearly have rather accurate inside information....that you've neglected to share for a month. Left us stuck ...well, like this." Still couldn't bloody say it out loud, could she? But clearly Catalina knew who she was. At that moment, Jana didn't care what the hell their own personal grudges against the other might be. She didn't care that Catalina hated her for dating Caleb, or that she'd been Cat's personal maid for upwards of five years...none of it mattered. All that mattered right then was that there were dozens of people in the room in danger of dying right then- and apparently more, that depended on Catalina's cooperation. Except as she was speaking, the man let her untied and she frowned. So she folded her arms on her chest and said simply, "Oh fine. You're untied. Cat, why don't you try for actual, honest answers instead of veiled ambiguous threats for once? Her name is Julie, by the way. You should probably learn their names before you go offering them up to god knows what.If you really want to help us, you wouldn't exactly be threatening to do that. " There was a pause. "Well, you would, obviously." And she shook her head. "So starting with the position to help us, I'd gather you know where the knife is and how to use it." It wasn't a question. "So we help you, you help us, that's how it works? Tell us where it is." Get us back in our own bloody bodies. There was another side of this that made no sense though, and ... Jana's mind was inevitable floating to trying to figure out where Caleb's apathy fit into this. "And tell us what the hell you mean when you say others are in danger. Speak plainly just for once." You know, be a bloody human being. Care about more than just power and marital ambition. Jana had honestly had it, with the whole situation. She was tired, bitchy, furious, and Catalina? Was the least of her worries. Edited by Julianna Eppes, Sep 9 2009, 08:03 AM.

After she met up with Jennipher, she went back to the cottage to find an owl carrying a piece of paper. She read what it said and she groaned in annoyance that she had to go back 2 days later. What made her return to the room so quickly? It was simple; it said if they want to return to their original bodies. She apparated back to the room and saw people there so they must of gotten the same letter she had. She doesn't remember them from last but she really wasn't paying attention to the people in the room with her the first time she was in the room. Her heart stopped when she heard that they had to go to Italy, she felt like she was going to throw up when she heard that they were going to a warehouse in Rome. What kind of cruel joke was someone playing? But here she is, back home where she left about three months ago. She apparated there in a second since she knew well where in Italy she had to go. She couldn't lie that she was surprise and scared at the same time when she saw other people besides the ones she saw that were in the room and what made her even more surprise is her watching a women holding a man in gun point. The woman and the man seem to know each other but she came in too late to find out what the hell was going on. People were yelling to the woman to put the gun down but she didn't know what to say in the moment. She wanted to help but what can she do? Yell repeatly to the women to drop the gun? Well, as long as no blood will be spilled, she'll be alright. She hated her fear of blood especially in this scenario but she was looking ill for being in her homeland and she mutter to herself repeating in Italian, "Non voglio essere qui......" As soon as Julie let go of the gun and he immediately snapped on the safety and put it in his pocket, breathing a little easier. It had been so, so long since he'd gotten to hold her, so he made no hesitation on immediately hugging her, kissing her forehead before he addressed everything else. "Just stick with me, okay?" Jace turned to Cat, his voice right back to the cold fury, "What do he mean by 'next appointment'? And what do you mean by her necessity of going there? You're in no position to be close-mouthed right now." Basically? He was back in his body. He had Julie safe. Why did he care about any of the rest? Cat better have a damn good reason. |

Cat sighed as Jana talked. She honestly hadn't expected anything different. Of course Jana had jumped right to accusing her, had told her that she didn't want to hear it. She just wanted to hear the information. If the situation wasn't so urgent, Cat might have made her work for it. As it was, she could justify just telling them certain things. Her mind was, of course, working on how she could possibly get everything to work out. And that, right then, was giving them information. "I've been..." She paused for a moment. It was still hard for her to fight the Imperius Curse that Andre had put her under. However, Caleb was in danger, and there was nothing she could really hide anymore, so she fought to say what she needed to. "I've been under the Imperius curse since this thing started," she explained. "Andre... he... used me because of my relationship to Caleb. He figured that it would be easier to get to me than him and that I would know more about England, which was his weak point. He wanted to take over some experiment he figured out was going on at the Ministry. He Imperiused me to organize everything," she said. "I couldn't fight it," she added. The clear shame about that in her voice wasn't something she had to add as part of an act. He'd controlled her. She'd let herself be used and controlled, just as Brandin had said. "His main goal was something about experimenting with the transfer of magic. And his other main goal was... to get him," she added, gesturing to Jace. "He was going to kill Brandin too, when he figured out that I was trying to fight his curse and trying to help you guys out by sending Brandin a letter with small clues." She sighed. "He didn't want to be caught for anything, so he Imperiused that Ministry worker too so he'd still send out the letters and pretend to be in charge. Then I was in charge of writing in the book - which he was going to make sure was found - and going in and..." Pausing, Cat reached into the bag she had over her shoulder, pulling out a sheathed double-edged blade. The sheath was carved with ancient symbols, some runes, some unfamiliar. The dull, worn leather didn't seem like anything special. Nor did the hilt, dingy and marked up with the same sorts of symbols which looked like they had more been burned into the hilt than carved there. Drawing the blade out, the silver gleamed in contrast to the rest of it, as if it wasn't aware it looked like it didn't belong. Symbols - no familiar runes - were carved down the center of the blade, sharp angles cruelly etched yet only hinting at the sinister nature of the knife. "...using this." She gave an involuntary shudder. She hated holding it. It was always cold, the sheer touch of the hilt practically radiating the Dark Magic it was touched by. Once she'd shown it, she dropped it back into her bag like it had stung her, disgusted. Its touch was far too evil for her. A moment later, she had recovered enough to speak again. "But somewhere along the way, Andre mt up with someone else. And I... heard something about a ritual. I'm supposed to take Julie there. And..." At this point she allowed her thinly kept control to slide just a little, brushing away a tear. "...and whomever it is has Caleb. I don't know why they need them or what kind of danger they're in, but if I don't bring her, it can't be good for him or anyone else they might have. I don't know anymore about it, and I can.. I can switch you all back. But please, please can we just go there first? I can't show up without her. I need to bring her, or they'll never even let me near him." If worst came to worst, she would suggest that they all came with her Disillusioned. She didn't want to risk Caleb, and she was sure that if everyone showed up there visibly, he'd just be in more danger. |

Honestly? The last thing Jace was about to do was let Cat take Julie to some ritual to save her brother. It sounded like a personal problem to him. It wasn't his problem that she was imperiused, or that the Ministry had been infiltrated and basically undermined. It didn't matter to him that people still weren't in their bodies, because he was in his and he had Julie in his arms. And that was it. He was more that willing to just leave with her right then and there. But Andre had been talking to someone about a ritual. Did that mean that Andre would be there? Jace wasn't so sure he'd let a chance to murder the bastard go. But he was definitely sure he wasn't going to risk Julie. "Look, I'm sorry. I'd like to help, but my first priority is my wife, and not your brother. I'm going to need a really good reason for me not to leave right now. Just one." He shrugged. He needed to be sworn to that Julie would not get hurt before he would ever go to something of the like. That was just how he was. It wasn't his business, if his people weren't there. |

Juls looked at all the angry faces, feeling a little uncomfortable, but it was her own face that she was most unhappy about. She never wanted to see that expression there, ever again. Never. It was so...well. She couldn't describe it, but she didn't like it. At all. But everyone was yelling at Cat and despite her unpleasant conversation with her just a few days ago, and she shook her head. "Okay, everyone just calm down, okay? Yelling at each other over things that have happened and none of us had any control over it is the most pointless, time-wasting thing we can do. So let's just...all calm down, and think about this logically." Basically? Cat was forced to do things. And she sympathized, she really, really did. And now she's trying to save her brother, which Juls appreciated. She didn't blame her at all for needing to do that. But obviously they couldn't just give what was wanted. They needed a plan, a strategy, a way to get both Julie and Caleb safe afterward... "Can you switch those of us who are here with our bodies back? Then we can fix this. I know we're probably on a time-schedule, yes? But if they need Julie, and Julie's here...we have a little bit of leeway." |

Sam had gone to the circular room along with the others, having had to practically drag herself out of bed to go. She was just so... tired all the time. Thank Merlin she had just gotten that weird syringe counter-agent thing the other day. But she was hardly even standing despite that. She didn't know if it was from being in this body or from some other effect of the experiment, and she really didn't care. Not after she just heard it could be fixed. And her own body was right there... So close. The hope alone was enough to give her energy a little boost as she tried to figure out what to do from there. How to help. Sam loved helping. The only problem was, she really didn't think she was very qualified to help anyone at the moment. There were already about six people saying the same sorts of things, and they were most likely way better qualified to deal with this sort of thing. So she was standing off to the side, listening. Sam led a life that had very little crazy drama dealing with Death Eaters and switching bodies and crazy men who were a little too trigger-happy when it came to the Imperius Curse. Her main role in life was that of a mother, a nurturer, and the only person she could see in that room who seemed like she could use a hand in that area looked like she was in much more capable hands in that department. The woman that was talking now, saying something about figuring a way to switch people back and a way to not let anyone else get hurt sounded the most logical. The real Jason (not the person who'd been in his body injecting her with the counter-agent) was annoying, not willing to really help at all because it wasn't directly for his benefit. The other woman was just yelling at the Imperiused girl, who seemed to be concerned with saving her brother more than the actual well-being of everyone there. Sighing wearily, she spoke up, although she wasn't sure if anyone was going to hear or listen to her. "I could go get the Aurors? Then they could handle the whole...ritual thing, if you can just tell us where it is, and Julie can stay here, and you can switch us all back?" |

Listening to Catalina was something never Jana liked doing. Being entirely dependent on her was something she never had planned on doing. So the moment Catalina began explaining, revealed the knife, Jana had to close her eyes and count to ten. Twice. Breathe and try to steady herself. She was still doing this as Juls told everyone to calm down anyways, but Jana was having a hard time listening to any of this. Everything that Catalina just said was hard to hear. She'd been imperiused, controlled. Told to do everything against her will, against someone (and Jana honestly suspected the only one) she loved, because of their connection to them. Now where had she heard that before? Sympathizing with Catalina was even more uncomfortable. It wasn't like Catalina had ever cared that it had happened to her. Taken full advantage of it, absolutely, but cared? So no, she didn't really feel sorry for her. But she understood it. It was impossible for her to stand there and yell, be angry at her...when she knew what it was like. Oh, bloody hell... All of this was a distraction of course, for the fact was Catalina's emotion over Caleb was genuine, and it caused Jana's stomach to fall out. No, she wasn't going to stand there and just suggest they offer up Julie for Caleb as Catalina seemed to be doing-- but she wasn't just going to stand there and do nothing. He'd been distant. Dismissive, unexpressive, unfeeling...why? A ritual? The only bloody thing Jana knew about them was that old world rituals featured blood sacrifices and that was not damn happening. None of it was happening. This was just impossible for her to process; Caleb was now in serious danger, his life was on the line, just as hers had been. He'd given it all for her, and she wanted to do the same for him, as she'd tried to do during that damn Virus. The first bloody time she'd even realized how much he meant to her. It wasn't the same anymore as it had been then, though. They'd slept together, been dating...and he'd been there for her, through everything. He'd come to that damn maze, held her, walked her away from it, refused to leave her, taken care of her. A few tears were threatening to leak out of Jana's shut eyes as well, breathing become rather constricted and difficult. No. No. No. Dammit, no. Whatever the bloody hell this was, they were going to fix it, stop it, and that started with not simply following along with what Catalina said, with what they'd imperiused her to do. Of course, this still involved talking to her, and she said only, "We're getting him back. And anyone else that may be there. No, we can't just go in without a plan but actually, I'd think the last person we want to bring is who they claim to need. There's several people here, and we get the Auror's...whatever ritual's happening, it can't happen." It can't, it won't, it's not. This wasn't happening, they were going to get him back. She was going to learn how to breathe again, too. That kind of seemed less important. It was funny though, because for once her and Catalina actually seemed to agree on something. The only thing they ever seemed to agree on, and Catalina dismissed her feelings on the matter as if they didn't matter at all. Yet she wasn't focusing on that, she was focusing that they had to just get out of that warehouse, and go there immediately. Hearing Jace's words, Jana simply shook her head incredulously. They didn't need an actual Julie in the first place- they needed to creep up unannounced and pounce and stop the ritual. She looked back at Catalina asking only, "How long does it take to switch us back? We don't have hours to fall asleep and wake up peaceably." |

Selena listened to everything the women, Catalina, said and as much she wanted to believe her, she couldn't. What if all of them when to this 'ritual' and it really were just a trap? If they all they really need was the people Catalina just mention, why should the rest of the switched people need to go as well? So she decided to ask, "I don't see why you need us. I'm pretty sure that everyone here would only want to be back to their original bodies and just go home." She looked at Catalina with a look of serious. She would’ve added that she was one of those people who would really be back to normal, but she thinks that Catalina might get her message. Selena was surprise that she was actually speaking, but it didn’t matter to her. There was no time to think out of topic. "I'm concerned about the other people being captive but you said it yourself, you only need Julie." she used her head to point at Julie's direction. She maybe saying and acting selfish but if the worst case scenario came and Catalina won't change all of them until she gets what she wants, she can’t fight with magic in her weak condition and maybe the rest of the people who was in the same situation. |

Cat looked over at Jace exasperatedly. "I'll tell you exactly why you need to stay, and I think it's something we'll both agree is a good enough reason: your wife is under some sort of spell or potion or... something." She sighed. "I don't know what it is, so don't waste time asking me. I just know that Andre had cut a deal with someone, and it involved her and whatever influence she's under because he was going to use it to kill you. But whatever it is, it's what's wrong with Caleb, and I can guarantee you: I learned enough to know that she's not snapping out of it on her own." Of course, there were all the questions about 'can you switch us back now'? It was bad enough that she had to actually disclose information to these people, but she just reminded herself that all of this was being done so she could get to Caleb on time. Frustrated with them all, she said, "I could switch you back now, but that would involve me putting you all to sleep, taking the time to switch you back... Honestly? I could wake you up right away, except I bet you'll experience the effects of it. I mean, Andre had you unconscious for a couple of hours so your souls could adjust. From what I hear, it's a jarring experience, and you won't have the best use of your bodies right after it happens. You'll be disoriented, confused..." None of which would help them save Caleb. "If you insist, I suppose I could. Although I'll need to bring Julie now." Jana and some other woman had spoken about getting the Aurors. "You can get the Aurors, go there, but... I don't want to put Caleb in danger by having them kill him on the spot when the see the others." Not that she knew who 'them' was, but she was willing to bet that if they were willing to go along with whatever they'd already done to him, they would kill as well. The last woman to speak up seemed to have a more logical idea about everything. "So choose: do you want to be switched back or go after Caleb?" |

Standing aside was all fine and dandy till people started making decisions. Just standing around wasn't doing crap. Less talking and more doing. Apparently that wasn't so. She could have blamed it on just being tired and irritated in general, but her attempts at being nice were far and few between at this point. "If we're running this like a democracy then fine, but we're individuals and I'm pretty sure everyone has their own agenda. Not to be rude but I don't care much about whatever hocus pocus stuff that is going on elsewhere when I could get switched back here. If we stand here arguing about it and wondering about it, then no one's going to get anywhere. Blondie over there can switch back whoever wants to be switched back, and the rest of you can go on your merry way. I for one am sick of standing here when it's getting us nowhere. So there's my input." Honest to merlin she was past being nice. |

Cassie had been listening as Catalina spoke and what she was saying did make sense. Though she wanted her body back desperately, if they'd be so disoriented, they wouldn't be able to help the people that needed them. There were lives on the line here. Who knew what Andre or Caleb or whoever else was doing to the others at that ritual thing? And if they didn't stop talking and start moving, they could be too late. She'd ignored Jason's comment about leaving with Julie, just rolling her eyes at him. And as Jennipher spoke, she sighed. Why did all these people just want to leave? Merlin, they weren't the only ones that missed their old bodies! Cassie was pretty sure she'd explode if she wasn't in her own body soon. Maybe she was too caring, but people needed her help, and she wasn't about to rush to switch back if that would, in any way, keep her from helping. When Jentry spoke, she turned to her, her face incredulous. She really wanted to just leave these people these? Leave them and just 'go on her merry way' while others could be dying? "Well, aren't you just a ball of joy," she muttered sarcastically. "There are people that need our help, and you just want to switch back and run on home? You're not the only one missing your life, trust me, but our first priority now isn't getting our bodies back, it's helping those that need our help. If we're not going to be able to do so in our real bodies without having to wait a few hours, then we can postpone switching back or something." She shook her head. This was ridiculous. "We're wasting time just standing here arguing. We need to get a move on, before we're too late." Edited by Amaris Tudor, Sep 11 2009, 03:30 AM.

Caleb was under a bloody potion, "or curse, or something"...he was out there kidnapped about to be part of a ritual, and they were standing there arguing about how long things took, whether or not to make the psychopath happy and bring along exactly who he asked for, and if they should even bother going? Sarcastically letting a mutter slip, "Well, this just gets better and better..." The more Jana heard, the more she frowned and the harder her hands gripped over themselves. She took as deep a breath as she could, looking at her hands. Not her hands. Those weren't her hands. Her hands were a few feet from her, her entire body was. Catalina was holding the knife, and a strange sense of calm came over her as she looked at it; stared at it. Disorientation. Probably pain. Shock, confusion, weakness. Her eyes lifted to lock with her own. Juls was agreeing with her. They both simply nodded. They'd risk it. Hell, both of them had been through a hell of a lot worse. Pushing the annoyance at the people wanting to cut and run, Jana instead leaned over and rolled up her sleeve slowly walking towards Cat and holding out her arm. "We'll go, Cat. " She meant herself and Juls, as they had just nodded in agreement with, "You don't give the ritual people exactly what they want; you make their ritual impossible to complete. Pull the rug out from under them, surprise them, and then get everyone the hell out of there. Of course from the sound of things, it doesn't sound like it's gonna be like a walk in the bloody park, so we're first going to need our own bodies back. Wake us right up; we'll deal." She looked around at the rest and shrugged. "If you want to be switched and walk away, well, fine, that's your choice." She looked at who she really only knew the body for and shrugged with a wry tiny smile. "Not like they'd be any help anyways if they want to just walk out on those people, right? So I guess the only real thing here is to wake those of us going up first and the rest can just do whatever the hell they want." She was past being nice about this too. They had a bloody job to do, she wanted her own body back, and she wanted to get Caleb the hell out of there. Then she paused and looked back over and nodded once, "And yeah, Aurors would probably be a good idea." Didn't that go without saying? |

Sam listened to more people respond, arguing, very few of them responding to her idea about getting the Aurors. It was worrying her, the fact that the ones who weren't Aurors were the ones coming up with all of the plans. She was sure they were intelligent people and all, but... not for nothing... they weren't trained for that sort of thing. Biting her lip, she thought for a moment as the one demanding to be switched spoke. "What if... we don't do anything hasty, I go get the Aurors and bring them here while you guys get switched back, and then they make the plans about how to go about stopping this ritual thing?" That was the scenario she would feel more comfortable with, at any rate. "I don't know. I don't mean to offend anyone, it's just that... they're the ones trained for that sort of thing." Another stifled yawn. Much more of this being in someone else's body and she wouldn't even have the strength to Apparate. That wouldn't be good. So she'd have to go then. "I'm getting them," she decided firmly. If she came back and any of them pulled one of those stupid I'm-brave-enough-that-I-don't-need-the-authorities crap, she figured she might just learn an offensive spell to use. "I'll be right back." And she Disapparated. |

Cat looked at the few who wanted to just be switched and go home, not bothering to hide the disgust that passed over her features. "You can wait here. I'm not wasting my time switching you back if you're not going with us." Then she turned back to Jana. "As for you: I cannot believe you're being selfish enough to want to waste time getting switched back when this is going on. It's ridiculous, and with the state you'll be in if I wake you up right away, you'll be of no help to anyone." She sighed. "Besides, the place he told me to Apparate to is an Apparition point. Whomever it is running this show will see me or anyone else coming. If we don't bring Julie and if we make it look like an attack, they'll just disappear or kill us. And I'm neither ready to die nor to let them disappear with my brother," she declared. And, of course, another one had gone to get the Aurors. Just messing things up more. The whole situation was doing nothing but upsetting her; getting more and more out of control and messy with every turn. "So yes. We do need her if we're even going to get close to the ritual." Sighing again, she added, "But fine. If you two both want to be switched back and feel like dealing with the consequences..." A quick stunning spell had both women lying on the ground. She hadn't exactly been careful with Jana's body. Not... careless. Just not... super aware, either. Walking over first to Juls' body, she knelt down, drawing the knife from the sheath, shuddering as she did so. Touching the cool blade to the skin, she use the tip to make a small line down the arm, the blade heating up as the soul got trapped within it. Now glowing a strange off white, she stood up and moved to Jana's body, kneeling down and making a second gash. At first the knife drained of its heat and light and then it filled back up again, switching the souls. At this point, the blade was practically humming with all of the powerful magic being performed on it. It was practically radiating its sinister power, and it was all Cat could do to finish the switch, using the tip of the blade to follow the previous gash on Juls' body's arm, sending the other soul back into the body. Standing up, a quick Scourgify had the blade of the knife clean. "Ennervate." She pointed her wand at them. This was going to be fun. |

Honestly not feeling like repeating the point that paying ransom or giving into blackmail was one thing-- offering a human body was another, Jana simply raised her eyebrow at Catalina's words, and shook her head incredulously at the half attempt at an insult. It wasn't a bloody waste of time or being selfish, but did she expect Catalina to understand? Uhm, no. And she'd care even less, so there was no point. That was the last thought Jana had before she blacked out. Stupefied, her eyes were wide open as they fell back and simply hit the concrete with no thought to how that might hurt, thank you Cat. When she came too, the room was blurry, fuzzy and she snapped her eyes shut for a moment, not letting herself cry out in pain. Bloody-merlin-damn-hell, that hurt. It wasn't, however, the worst pain Jana had felt in the week, and she bit her lip to simply stop from shouting as the gash began to heal itself over again. It was a deep cut, and from slits of eyes she could see that Catalina hadn't been exactly careful. Nice. No matter how Catalina cut, however, she was pretty sure she couldn't match the pain of an exhausted soul battling a supressed werewolf transformation for twelve or so hours, so she gritted her teeth and waited for the pain to slowly ebb away, gripping her arm. Her own, arm. Ecstasy was good; it kept the shock a little at bay. She was shivering already, trying to let her body readjust by lying still and failing at that. Jana wasn't screaming. Jana wasn't crying. Honest to merlin, at this point she was just confused. Her vision was doubled and blurry, the room was spinning. Standing was gonna be a bloody pain in the neck, she could already tell, but as memories returned so did her bloody determination to get Caleb out of wherever he was, to stop the ritual. Shaking as little as possible, realizing she'd bit her lip hard enough to bleed, Jana pulled her arm back into herself and stood very slowly. Her eyes flew shut again. Dizzy. Everything was spinning. She wasn't bothering to look at Catalina-- only at Juls for a moment. Struggling on her feet, she took a second or two to breathe and opened her eyes to grin slightly. It had worked, clearly. She was looking at the outfit she'd dressed Juls in that morning, and wearing the one Juls' had picked out. She was herself, in her own clothes, in her own skin. The happiness was fleeting, but she allowed the moment or two. Then she reached into her back pocket, located her own wand this time and looked at Catalina without a trace of sarcasm in her voice as she said crisply, "Thanks." Her arm still really bloody hurt, but she wasn't left handed. She could cast spells. The room was spinning, but she hadn't been planning on fighting anyways. It was getting a little better every second, and as determined as she was? No thin pain from a careless cut, no disorientation, no confusion was going to keep her from apparating with Catalina and finding Caleb. And getting him out of there. Now. "So now we can go." She said, alarmed by how strained the voice was. Tight. She needed water, to take a ... ooh. Drink. She could drink again. She wasn't pregnant. Juls was pregnant. It was over, that was over... She'd have been thrilled were it not for the matter with Caleb. Or maybe if her arm just didn't damn hurt so much. ...Or maybe if the room would decide it'd like to just stand still for a minute. Finally just looking at Cat, she said dryly, "You can skip the 'I told you so'." And she gestured to the air and then looked around again. "I'm fine." No she wasn't, but she sure as hell wasn't going to tell Catalina that. Hell, she was just surprised the woman hadn't tried to kill her and make it look like an accident. It wasn't like she really trusted that woman around her with a knife under normal circumstances. "Although really, you missed your shot to kill me, Cat." She really, really, just couldn't help herself there. "The Aurors are on their way?" |

Juls had not expected Cat to just knock them out, right then and there. She had expected Cat would either refuse, or that they would have a minute to lay down. No such luck. So when Juls woke up, the first thing she noticed was her head. And how it felt like there was a drill hammer, a mallet, and a blender all going on in her head. The back of her head was tender, hurting. Then she noticed that her arm was burning, but for the life of her, she couldn't open her eyes to look why. She was on a hard, cold floor. That was the next thing that struck her. She was cold, and a sudden rush of fear knived through her body, causing her to immediately roll onto her side, into a ball. Taking up the smallest amount of room possible was the only defense... No. That wasn't right. There were people talking, angry, but women's voices. Now she just felt nauseous, and for the first time in the past eleven weeks, she actually felt...relieved. Nausea was part of her own body, wasn't it? She was in her own body. It was tired, unbelievably weak, a little sore...she took account of each part, bending her toes, then her fingers, and then taking a sharp breath as she forced her eyes to open. Juls actually felt them dilating in the darkness, felt the headache slide into a migrane, sitting up shakily, clammy and pale. Bloody hell, she wasn't kidding when she said it would need some adjusting to. Juls didn't know if she could speak right then, let alone move forward. The room was trippy, spinning in random ways, and she was tempted to close her eyes again. But no, Jana was already up and talking. Juls looked at Cat, blinking for a moment before she realized something. She'd just hit the floor. Just hit it. That wasn't okay, or acceptable! Did the little bitch know how dangerous that was for... No, of course not. A total of three people besides herself knew, and Cat wasn't one of them. So instead, she whispered a thanks, forcing her hand up to touch the back of her head. Uhm, ouch? But sitting on the floor wasn't going to get her anywhere, so she slowly, very, slowly stood up, not used to how absolutely spent her body was, how much she just wanted to lay on that cold, concrete floor and sleep. It would be good, she figured. But she had things to do, and seeing Jana with her wand out reminded Juls. "Okay..." She breathed, pressing her palm against the wall to steady herself. Not that it helped much; she shook anyways. "Okay, let's go save your brother." Maybe...she'd just...stick to the back and help as needed? |

Amaris had been standing back, far back after the gun had been taken away from Julie, there wasn't much she could do now, there were a room full of people willing to do whatever it was Catalina was trying to get them to do. Amaris just had to focus on not taking off the safety of her gun and pointing it at her, because honest to Merlin that was really tempting right at that moment. Did she agreed with the people that just wanted to switch back and leave? Well she bloody hell understood why they felt that way, she mostly agreed with them as well. Okay, time to speak up. "You're asking the people in here to basically march into a dangerous situation, blind as to what to expect, in order to save your brother. Not only that but you're asking us, the people who would you yourself said could very well die from staying in these bodies; the people who really have absolutely no idea how to handle a situation of crisis. A group of over emotional people storming in is going to be a disaster; exactly how long have we stayed here debating? Exactly, most people are scared, exhausted, pissed off, and quite frankly not very fond of you at the moment Catalina. You're willing to risk us, our safety, hell you're still continuing to manipulate us and judge us, after all we've been through. Your making yourself out to be the victim, the person who fought against the curse and tried to 'leave us clues', but in reality would you really have cared if your brother hadn't been involved? And now you go ahead and switch these two women here, purely out of spite, despite the fact that one of them is one of the few people in here who actually want to help you, and you basically make them of 'no help to anyone' like you stated before." She had given this woman Circe's emerald pendant as a wedding gift for Merlin's sake; she wanted it back now. Throughout her whole rant, she had moved her way from the back of the room to where Catalina was, and had miraculously kept both her wand and her muggle firearm at bay. How enfuriating; she wanted to hex something. "I'll help, yes, despite the fact that we really have no reason to trust you, and despite that really, I just want to hex you right now. But we're already wasting time, so, how about you prevent a mass riot and switch the people that don't want to help, for very legit and smart reasons, so we can all get on with trying to help you." Right, she was pissed, and now her hand was actually clutching her wand, no matter her previous intents. But they really didn't need too many people, having absolutely no idea of what they're doing, trying to deal with a murderer and his plot with Dark Magic. People were more stupid in large numbers. And yes, she herself wasn't even qualified to handle this situation but she would take a shot at it. Literally. |
