Blushing slightly at the compliment that women should always wear dresses because they looked good in them, Lara had taken Jake's offered hand and folloed him towards the dining-room. The seats were filling up fast. Making their way through the room they paused at a nearby table with a man and a young girl already sat and conversing (Keely and Dante). "Mind if we join you? We don't really know anyone else and seats are filling up. I'm Lara and this is Jake." |

Jen more or less fell into the seat she had pulled out and she had her elbows propped up on the table and her chin resting on them. "Jen," she replied, moving one hand only to pick at the table cloth. "I'm not good at conversation either. I don't even really know anyone here but-" She stopped short and shook her head as she laughed quietly at herself. Right. No time to be distracted. "Sorry. I'm not good at conversation." |

The sound of a voice asking to sit made her turn, especially as the owner of the voice seemed to know who she was. Turning with a smile, she recognised of the men from the hospital when the virus had been spreading. "Mark, right? Sure, pull up a chair. I don't really know anyone here very well. It'd be good to have someone to talk to." She may as well make conversation. "Lovely ship, don't you think? Was a bit taken by surprise to recieve the invitation and no wands....Was a little wary to come I'll admit." It had seemed a little suspicious at first, yet she'd been curious. "And then our belongings disappearing...." Edited by Emma_D'Abugine, Jun 13 2009, 12:44 AM.

"Of course." Keels answered Dante, seeing that he was watching people come in too and she didn't have to make small talk. She was on her best behaviour, of course. When the other two people came over she nodded and knelt on the chair so she could introduce herself. "I'm Keeley, and this is Mister Dante." She sat back down, but only slightly, as she'd just sat down on her knees. "There's lots of people here..." |

Em reached across the table to shake Catalina's hand, then relaxed back in her seat. "It's nice to meet you," she commented, the smile still on her face. Cat seemed nice enough, really. When asked about how she was enjoying the ship, Emery shrugged her shoulders. "It's pretty nice," she said. "My room is huge, though I'm not sure of who I'm rooming with yet. This room is really nice as well. I hope the food is decent... I don't understand why they took our clothes, though." She sighed. "What about you? Are you enjoying yourself?" She frowned. She really hoped she'd be getting her clothes back soon. After all, she did have to change after this. She wasn't going to wear the dress the entire weekend. |

The servers had put out all the needed silverware, and now they made rounds to get all the food to the tables. A salad to start off with, but each server politely smiled at the passengers as they put the bowls onto the tables. |

"Nice to meet you Jen" she replied with another small smile. Amaris was definitely out of her element with all of this. It quite reminded her of those pureblood balls and events that she was coerced into attending. The whole thing was very comfortable. But, once again, she had to remind herself that this was a 'getaway', and wasn't the point of such thing to venture out of the known and familiar? Well truth be told she wouldn't know, she never actually had any vacations. "Me either, well of course familiar faces and the like." Some more familiar than others guaranteed but still. She was never really that apt at pointless mingling and chatting. It was probably why she didn't have many friends...actually any friends. Why was she thinking of such matters right at that moment? Amaris just chuckled a bit at Jen's repeated comment before commenting on it, "No need to apologize. I completely understand, I actually tend to ramble in such occasions so if I do feel free to tell me to shut up." she stopped herself from speaking any further, knowing fully well that she was well on her way to actually rambling. When the servers came out with the dinner, Amaris muttered a small thank you as they put the plate down, but frowned a bit when she saw it was salad. Lovely. She placed her napkin of her lap before reluntactly starting on the salad. If she took more than three bites then it was certainly a miracle. Edited by Amaris Tudor, Jun 13 2009, 12:56 AM.

Jake smiled at the little girl. "Well hello there." he gave her a small wave. Nodding to Dante, the man who was sitting by the table as well, he turned to Lara and grinned. This all was basically nothing more but a huge game. Pulling back one chair for her to sit he couldn`t help but smile. "M`lady." he added, just for the sake of fun. Then he moved to another free chair and sat down. Food. Right. Human food. Not something that he`d like. But it didn`t really matter, because he was full. As full as you can get by drinking animals. Any way or other, all the people around him was like a smell treatment. Besides, this seemed like much more fun that wandering around by himself. |

Dante didn't answer the other two who showed up at the table simply because Keeley had done that for him. He didn't mind either way. "You know what, I left my jacket in my cabin. I'll be back in a few minutes." He felt better knowing that leaving now Keels wasn't sitting alone and that fact was no doubt why he hadn't gotten up before. But now he pushed his chair in as he got up and left the dining hall. Edited by Dante Morvanna, Jun 13 2009, 12:57 AM.

Mark nodded. "Yeah - you got the name right," he said. "I honestly have to admit that I was a bit wary to come as well. But I figured that it was either a good story for the Prophet or a nice getaway." He shrugged. "Jury's still out on which." As the salad was served, he took a bite, glad they were serving at least something that was healthy. Remembering from the Virus, he asked, "So how's your... husband, right?... doing after the virus?" |

"Glad you're enjoying things so far," Cat replied politely. "There was mixup with my ticket, and I got put in third class," she said with a tiny shrug. "But that's all right. These things are really social, I believe. So I don't know if I'll be spending much time in there anyways." She thanked the server politely as he put the salad down in front of her. She did take a bite or two, but ignored it for the most part, wanting to save room for the other courses. |

Jen nodded and didn't bother with the usual reply of nice to meet you too. She sat there for the sake of not sitting alone actually as rude as that may have been. "Right. I'll remember that," she said simply. As the salad was placed in front of her she simply pushed it away. She wasn't really a salad person and she didn't care to put forth the effort to even try. |

Glad that she'd at least got the name right, Emma sat back in her chair, glad also that she wasn't the only one to be wary about attending the trip. It seemed lately there'd been one accursed event after the other, either the universe hated them all, or it was a wide spread case of bad luck and lousy coincidences. She just hoped this trip was legit. "A good story or a nice getaway... Let's hope the latter, although I guess a good story would be great for your job." Emma offered a smile in return to the servers as they placed bowls of salad before them, and reached for her fork, taking a bite. "Hmmm... this is good. I was staring before. At least the foods good. I'm in thrid class and the room's a bit of a dive." At the mention of the virus, Emma swallowed her mouthful and offered a small smile. "My husband, Kevin, is doing great. Clean bill of health. I've left him at home with our daughter. You didn't have anyone with the virus, did you?" |

"Ouch." Em wrinkled her nose at the thought of third class. That must have been absolutely awful. "But yeah, we'll probably only be sleeping in there, anyway, so it doesn't really matter much... It's much more interesting out here." She thanked the server and took a few bites of her salad. Probably the only healthy thing they'd be eating all night, so she'd have to enjoy it while she could. |

Such a pretty pretty room. All the golden tints of light and high ceiling. The elegant like music that floats easily through the spacious room is really all too calming. Oh and have you seen that chandelier? Oh dear, who put that there? You see strung up there and folded grotesquely around the chandelier like a new ornament was a human being. She was bent to shape the chandelier itself in such a manner that it was evident some bones had been broken. Her head was tilted back by some unseen spell and her eyes were wide open with her last few minutes of shock still showing. Her blond curls though were placed neatly around her face as if put there with absolute care, and then you saw her face. Silver Audley. Her dress was a stark contrast to the iron fireplace poker skewed through her stomach... The other oddity was the mark burned into the skin on her check. Oh...that's not just a mark; It was a sickening looking I. Drip...drip...drip.....let's hope no one's sitting under there... Have you noticed something else has changed? Every bowl filled with the salad you were eating has suddenly changed only to leave you with a disgusting bowl of maggots in its place. It was never the perfect meal you so blindly thought it was, don't you see? Mmm delicious... |

Jennipher was enjoying a nice meal. This was probably the only time she could have Jesse with her, he was in first class and she was in second. They sat at a table by themselves, and calmly ate their salads. At least he was here. Unfortunately, the twins were home with Addy, which is always a bad idea. Then, the salad she was actually enjoying turned to maggots. Which made her scream, loudly. Then she saw a girl with something poking out of her stomach, which made her scream again. And as much as Jesse tried to calm her down, she was still hyperventilating. Jennipher plus scary things equals a serious problem. She didn't really like horror movies. |

Working as an investigative reporter had given Mark some tolerance over the years to seeing things like dead bodies. But this was absolutely digusting, particularly paired with... what was formerly salad that he had been eating. It didn't help that the rocking motions of the boat were already getting to him (he was a land person, that was for sure). Not really paying much heed to the plate - it was a few bugs, so what? - Mark was more concerned with the body and who had killed the person. Great. And they were all stuck here without wands. And he was without his notebook. Turning to Emma, all he could manage to say was, "I guess it's just a good story, after all." |

Lara had nodded as Date made an excuse and left the table, left the dining-room as well, wondering if they were even allowed to, given the order to come to the dining-room over the intercom. However, she was quite happy to take the seat offered to her by Jake, taking the moment to practice the curtsey he had stated she needed to improve. Keeley, sat across from them seemed like a sweer kid. "You're right. There's quite a crowd." Lara offered a smile to the waiting staff who served their salads, lifting a forkful whilst glancing about the ornate dining-hall. It really was rather beautiful. The size, the decoration and music the... Lara's eyes widened as her gaze lifted to the chandelier, her blood turning cold. There... there was a body practically wrapped around the chandelier. Squewered through the stomach with a poker. "Jake...." She felt sick. But not as sick as when she turned back to what had been a forkfull of salad hovered before her, which now held maggots. Her whole bowl, held maggots. Ugh, she felt sick. "What kind of cruise have we been invited on?" |

So it was one of those, was it? Of course. It was getting to be a bit unoriginal, really. Trap people in one small area, kill people off, turn what was supposed to be an evening of fun into a death trap. She was familiar with the routine - it was, after all, how she had thought her brother died. The only consolation was that it might be an interesting social experiment and she could observe reactions. She had to think of it like that, because she couldn't bear the thought of her own mortality. So she just watched people play their parts, adding one of her own. She had to adhere to her stereotype, that was for sure. She didn't want whomever it was running this thing to catch on that she would figure out who that person was, and he or she was going to pay. So she stood, the hint of real emotion giving her act just a bit more feeling, and backed away from her plate, disgusted. Letting out a small scream that could only be described as 'girly', she exclaimed, "What in Merlin's name is going on? This is disgusting! I demand to be let off this ship right now." For the moment, her part was her typical 'spoiled pureblood princess' routine. It was amazing how many people underestimated her because of it, and she was determined that these people would be no different. |

Ella had ignored the salad like she ignored everyone in the room, but she had also been staring at it so her hair would stay around her face. When it suddenly changed she sat up straight in shock. Twisting in her seat to actually look at the crowd in the room she finally looked up which was a bad idea. She should have been able to handle dead bodies or the sight of blood, but she was visibly shaking and so much so she slipped out of her seat and slumped to the floor now seated beside her chair. No no no no. Ella pulled herself up by the table and didn't give the room so much as one last look before she ran out. |
