The narrow hall is lit by only a few lights, giving it an eerie apparance. The red carpet laid out stretches the length of the hall and stops at the stairs. On either side there are doors with the numbers clearly printed so passengers can find their cabins easily. |

Okay so Amaris was acting foolishly, recklessly and stupidly. She had been trying to be sneaky and follow a man and all because she had 'a funny feeling'. And where had they ended up? Cabins in the first class. Of course she wasn't about to go busting into his room demanding to know why he was being so weird (even though she could totally plead insanity at that moment). No the weirdest thing is that she had stayed exactly 26 steps behind. Oh yes, she could definitely plead insanity. Once he had gone into his room, well she assumed it was his room but then again no one really cared anymore about room assignments anyways, Amaris just took a deep breath and sat down against the wall in the hallway, half a dozen feet or so away from his room; she didn't even notice it was still open. She needed to sit down, she was tired and sore, and apparently had delusions of grandeur because she wanted to play as secret-agent barbie and completely stalk someone. So she leaned her head against the wall and chanted to herself, "Still she haunts me, phantom-wise. Alice flying under skies. Never seen by waking eyes." over and over It was turning into her mantra; weird huh? |

Ryder had a feeling that the girl from the deck had gone the same way, and stepping out into the hallway it was confirmed. Giving a smile he gestured to the left of the hall; the smile being apologetic. "You know, I apologize. I was distracted and you surprised me, but I did see who you're looking for. Said something about it all getting to him you know? He was in the lounge last time I saw." |

Amaris opened her eyes in shock as a voice addressed her. She didn't think anyone would be talking to her right now because she had assumed that he had closed the door to his cabin. Basically jumping to her feet, Amaris tried to apologize but he had kept talking. Said something about the lounge. . . "Oh right, thank you." she turned her back to walk away before, turning back to him again, "Oh wait, which lounge?" |

"This one. The one on this level," Ryder answered. He had at least apologized for being so rude before, but he really had been too distracted to care for conversation. He had barely heard the question before. "You're welcome." |

Lies! Right? I mean she had only recently been in the lounge in this level and there was no captain in sight. Still he could be telling the truth, and they really did need to know where the captain was. But if he was lying, why? She was confused, she needed to go check, however... She had walked a bit closer to him, hesitantly, with an abashed look on her face, "I know I'm hassling you, and I really am truly sorry about that, but could you come with me? It's just. . .I'm kinda. . .well afraid what with everything going on." she shuddered as the thoughts of all the deaths crossed her mind, and that part was true enough. |

Leaving their cabin, Lara dragged Jake through the ship. The ticking was getting annoying and was terribly unnerving. Ticking meant clocks in her opinion... or a timer and timers meant bombs... Although she hoped it didn't in this case. The ticking seemed to be everywhere. She was anxious about the ticking, especially after all the murders and near misses. Any sound or movement seemed suspicious. Lara had assumed the Captain might know a thing or two... perhaps and dragging Jake through the corridors spotted a pair talking in the hallway. "Do you guys hear the ticking too? It woke me up and I'm not sure if it's a good sign. We were on our way to try and see what it might be..." |

"Sure." Then however someone else showed up. Two people actually and he added, "Maybe they should come too. It'd be easier to search if there was more people. We could stay in groups." Suggestion after suggestion. Whether they were good or they worked was the true question. |

Lara looked between the two curiously. Clearly they were looking for the route of the ticking as well and seemed to have a plan already of where to look or enquire about it. "Come where? We were thinking the Captain might know something but weren't sure if we'd find him at the wheel or not." In fact Lara wasn't sure which direction the wheel was, the boat was such a maze of corridors. "Were you headed to find him? We want to help." [[Moni had to go but I'm been given permission to drag Jake around the boat. ^_^]] |

Amaris turned at the sight of two familiar faces, although she would rather forget where exactly she had seen them before. She nodded her head at Lara's question on whether or not they heard the ticking; it was getting to be obnoxiously annoying and sort of frightening. "I went to go see the captain and ask about it," the term ask what being used loosely, she was going to go yell about it, "But he isn't there and the wheel is just locked" Amaris said motioning to Ryder. At Ryder's suggestion Amaris nodded, yes they really needed to find the captain and soon. Because if push came to shove she did NOT know how to operate a 70,000 ton ship. "Yes, help would be great." At least she wasn't going crazy; at least she wasn't the only one to have heard the annoying ticking noice. Lara had almost started to wonder if she'd been imagining it. It was a rather ominious and forboding sound, at least in her opinion.... hopefully not a bomb. Like the clock inside the croc in Peter Pan. "So potentially no one is steering this ship and we have a ticking something or other... possibly a bomb?" Oh this was just great! "So two potential problems. Blowing up and crashing, if there are rocks out here. So where might the Captain be?" Hearing the intercom, Lara had a thought. "The ship's wheel turns doesn't it? And it's brown? Should we try the bridge again?" Edited by Lara West, Jun 14 2009, 10:37 PM.

Ryder didn't take the time to answer just yet, he listened to the annoucement and then looked at the group. "Okay what about we do this? Since you don't want to be alone-" he glanced at Ama for a moment. "You can go with those two. I'll check the lounge and you guys can check the cabins or another lounge on another level. We can meet on deck." Oraganized of course was best. |

The sound of the intercom crackling to life was already associated with death in Amaris' mind so she couldn't help but flinch at the sound of it. Listening intently, and really wishing she could kill the ominous voice that was annoucing all these lovely clues, Amaris just whispered a curse under her breath, and apologized briefly. "You're right." she said to the girl, "And the wheel does have a clock as it's centerpiece. . ." she turned to look at Ryder as he suggested something else, and winced briefly at being reminded of her 'weakness'. Okay, no acting for her as a career. "I don't know. . .the voice over the intercom made it seem like the ticking was more important right now. . .half of us could go to the lounge, since that's where you saw the captain. The other could head on over to the bridge." She hated sounding authoritative, even if it was only a measley portion. |

Okay so the wheel in the bridge was their best bet. She hadn't been there but the woman had and she'd seen the center piece to the wheel. Lara did not like the prospect of getting blown up. "I'm Lara by the way and this is Jake." Formalities probably weren't important right now though. That the man suggested they split up, leaving him on his own, Lara tensed, not sure if it was a good idea. The woman seemed to concur. "She's right. This boat is dangerous. None of us should wonder about alone. One of us should go with you." |

"Look, I honestly am fine on my own. You're obviously fine on your own too. I'm going to go look where I want to look and I don't care to be followed. Pardon me but with everything going on it makes me a bit nervous when people decide to start following me around." He didn't like it one bit and Ryder made sure to convey it in his tone. Instead of dealing with it any longer he simply turned and started off down the hall. He'd take the stairs, another hall....anything through this maze if he could find somewhere to have a moments peace. |

Introductions. Wow, that hadn't happened since the horrible dinner a few nights before. That reminded her she, and probably every one on the boat, hadn't had anything to eat yet. She shook her head to clear away her shock at such a normal event and just quickly said, "I'm Amaris" Amaris however was even more shocked at Ryder's words and attitude at that moment. It was actually kind of creepy; he went from fine and helpful to leery and snappy in less than a second. Amaris was a bit mad, and somewhat suspicious now. She looked at Lara and said "I'm going to go follow him, come with? she didn't really want to go chasing an angry mad on a ship where people kept dying all by herself. . .well not at all but she just couldn't let him walk away like that. Looking from Lara to where Ryder was, Amaris just sped off after Ryder. Lara would follow if she wanted, but she really couldn't wait. Time was key. Edited by Amaris Tudor, Jun 14 2009, 11:19 PM.

Lara nodded at the introducion with a small smile. Okay, she now knew three people on this ship. When Amarais said she was going to follow the guy, Lara tensed. He was acting awfully suspiciously but then maybe following him would answer questions. "I'm coming too. Jake, why not check out the bridge?" He nodded, after she reasurred him she'd be okay with Amaris and watched him head off, before following after her. Hearing the intercom sound, telling everyone to head to the dining-room, the girls gave up their search of Ryder and made theiir way to the dining hall.
