Llian had honestly given up trying to count the number of places he'd gone a long time ago. So his answer to Juls' question was a simple shrug of his shoulders. "I have absolutely no idea," he admitted. "I've been to six of the seven continents - Antarctica never held all that much appeal for me - and as many countries as I could go to. My dad used to take me on trips every summer, and I just kind of continued that once I became of age." He still had no idea how many he'd been to. "I spent a few years just going place to place and not settling down anywhere, and then I lived in Italy for awhile," he said. "What about you? Have you traveled a lot?" He remembered that she'd said she lived in France for a while, but that was it. He laughed at her comment about the restaurant. "Not normally, no," he agreed. "I just know the manager pretty well. Besides, he still owes me some free meals," he said. "But yeah - they kind of had no choice but to go with the metal theme, because it was the only thing that really went with the tower itself. It wasn't actually originally built to have a restaurant in it." He paused, then added, "It actually wasn't even really built as a permanent structure. Just as a world fair exhibit." |

"That many?" Juls' eyebrows went up in slight admiration; traveling the world always seemed like a big feat, something that would take a lot of time and effort and was simply too big of a project, too much time, too expensive, to undertake. Six of the seven continents...that was impressive. But if he had started as a child, and then just continued, that made sense. When he said he lived in Italy, she wondered if that was where the accent was from. Either way, she answered, "I...lived in France until I was eleven, And lived here and there, in nondescript places in Europe, once in America, and then by the time I was fourteen I was back here. Stayed here until two years ago, came to England. So, not really. I don't count years twelve and thirteen to be of anything. We never stayed in one place long enough to enjoy anything, and the places were always dark and somewhere kids shouldn't be out playing on their own anyways. Under-the-radar places." Having answered his question, she went back to the previous and asked, "Six continents. Didcha happen to ride any elephants while on a safari?" She was only teasing, but his record really was impressive. The whole 'world tour' thing wouldn't be a big deal to him. "Really? I have to say I did not know that. But even if they didn't mean to make it this theme, I still like it." She shrugged. |

Llian nodded. "Yeah. I love travel, mainly just to learn about different places and experience as much as I can." He fell silent, listening to her talk about her own travel experiences. "Hey, well that's still an accomplishment. I mean, some people never leave the country they're born in," he pointed out. "Would you ever like to go back to any of the countries you only visited briefly?" he asked. Hey - maybe it could give him some ideas as to where they could go. Grinning he shook his head in response to her question. "Nope. Didn't ride any. They don't really like you to go try to climb on top of wild animals that weigh thousands of pounds on safaris," he teased back, shrugging. "Go figure. But I have seen elephants, among other animals." He nodded. "Yeah, and all the Parisians hated it and wanted it torn down for a bit. Funny, since it's become one of their biggest landmarks." |

Juls finally glanced down at the menu she'd been holding and commented, "So what's good here?" She figured if he knew the manager and all that jazz he'd know the food, and know what was worth ordering. She wasn't a picky eater. "I definitely would go back. Like I said, I never got the chance to ever really enjoy where I was and the amenities of the specific places. Seeing it in a new light and actually being able to explore would be fun." She then leaned forward and asked, "Camels?" Weird right? But the idea of riding an elephant sounded like a lot of fun to her. Yeah, on the back, of some large, wild animal, who's feet were three times bigger than her...and yet it did. "I can see why. It's a great view. Beautiful lit up at night too, I'm sure." |

Llian shrugged, not exactly sure. "The last time I was in here was quite a long time ago, so I don't really remember what's good. I'd recommend going with the specials or whatever the waiter recommends. They normally know what's best." That was actually what Llian did all the time. He didn't really care what he was served. If he already knew he liked it? Great. If he had no idea what it was? Even better. "You should go back," he agreed. "I'm sure you'd really enjoy it. Hm, maybe America will be next in our series of day trips. Although they have all of those states... where would you most want to go? Vegas is always fun, although I have to say it's probably the most eccentric city I've seen there. New York is popular..." he said, throwing out suggestions. He was still thinking about places to visit in the USA when Juls asked him if he'd ever ridden a camel. Laughing, he said, "Just once when I lived in Egypt. I have to say... not the most comfortable experience of my life. That may well have been one of the reasons I cleared out of there," he joked. He glanced out of the restaurant window as Juls brought the conversation back to the Eiffel tower. "It is really great all lit up at night. Although some would say it's better to look at it from further away while it's lit up, but I think it's actually nicer being here." |

Juls was getting the rather clear indication that Llian just went with the flow. Casual, easy, not set in any what way...It was nice. Definitely different, but Juls shrugged good-naturedly and put the menu back down at her place, smiling as she answered, "Special it is then." Most of the meals on the menu looked fantastic anyways, so she wasn't too worried about getting anything bad. Vegas. New York. They both sounded like a lot of fun. Big cities, lots of flashing lights, clubs, bars... "A beach, on one of the coasts, somewhere in the mountains, desert...." There were a lot of places they could go in the United States. It had a really great range of different demographics. Moving on, she crinkled her nose with a grin when he said that he had, actually, ridden a camel, and she commented, "I never once could understand why everyone was so excited about them being the perfect riding animal because of the humps...they honestly just look slow and unsteady to me. " His reply about the Eiffel Tower just made her nod in agreement, having nothing else to say to continue that strain of conversation. |

Llian was definitely paying close attention to where she wanted to go. Seeing as he was more than willing to go anywhere, he'd let her pick the destinations. And so far he was enjoying the thoughts of all those places. Then, an idea striking him, he said brightly, "Hey, why don't we just take a little week-long trip across the United States? We could see a few different types of places. Then come back for a bit, take a little break, move on to some other destinations..." To be able to get away for an entire week was a luxury Llian actually wasn't quite sure he had the capability to do - he had Claire, the Department needed help... - but there was a slight chance he could do it. A week wasn't that long... He could only laugh at her statement about the camels. "I really can't understand why, either." They were interrupted by the waiter coming over to take their orders. "Que recommendez-vous?" Llian asked, not quite sure what he should get. The waiter listed back a couple of different choices plus the day's specialty; a lamb dish. Llian ordered that and glanced over at Juls, waiting for her to order. Of course, after that the waiter was going to recommend wine to match the meals, which Llian had been planning on ordering, but he didn't know whether Juls preferred red or white wine. |

At Llian's suggestion, Juls sat back and considered, just for a moment. The talk of the whole world-trip thing seemed like it wasn't just talk, especially since, right then, there were sitting in the Eiffel Tower, in France. So she gave actual thought to his suggestion, answering, "I think...that would be really fun. But I know you said you were really busy right now...is it an actual possibility? I don't want to get you in trouble or anything." When the waiter came over, Juls set her hands on her lap and listened as the choices recommended. Llian ordered the day's special, but the beef wellington sounded really good. And of course, that way, she could try both. Ingenious, right? She ordered the beef wellington, and then there was a list of wines that was suggested to match their meals. At that point, she just glanced at Llian, for she knew red wine would go better with their meats, she just...had no idea which one. "You choose?" When it was something new - she really didn't drink wine enough to know the difference between the types, even if she could comprehend the names - to know what was good and what wasn't, she was perfectly comfortable giving someone else the power to choose for her. |

Llian smiled. "Yeah, I think it's a possibility. I'm sure I can get some time off. At least just a little," he said. "And the only other issue would be Claire, but I'm sure it won't be too bad if Julie has her for a week." A whole week. That would be a long time without seeing his daughter. Llian honestly wasn't expecting to feel that anxious about the very idea. But Claire would be fine, and it wasn't that long. Besides, he and Julie couldn't just refuse to take vacations for the rest of their lives, could they? No, of course not. So it wouldn't be a problem. He had begun to contemplate that as Juls ordered her meal, and he was honestly caught a little off guard when she asked him about the wine selection. Of course, the menu came with wine selections right on there, so he ordered a nice red Bordeaux, and the waiter headed off, having taken the orders. "Hope red's ok," he said. "So, yes. You and me for a week in America. I think that sounds great. It'll be almost as fun as checking out the bathrooms in this place," he joked. |

Juls grinned, "I think that would be a lot of fun." Although, when he was speaking about Julie taking care of Claire, she could see on his face the worry over it. "And seeing as we can pop in and out of places you can always pop in and check on her." She added. But if they were going to spend a week in America? She was going to need a few more outfits than she had. Because it wasn't like you could go to New York and not party, right? And it would give her, if she could convince them to help her out, some time with Elena and Emery, again. They'd been bothering her for ages about her clothing anyways...it shouldn't be too hard. Besides, she missed their gossipy presence. Taking a brief moment to affirm, "Red is great.", Juls moved on to his comment about the bathrooms, flashing a quick smirk as she disagreed, "A tour of America versus a tour of a bathroom? I don't know about almost as fun. I would even go as far as to say the States would be more...fun. I mean, it's only a bathroom..." Ha. Only a bathroom. |

Oh right. Of course. Magic. They had that. He had nearly forgotten that Apparition would take care of that particular problem. Of course, they would be on completely different time zones, but at least he would know that he had the ability to go check on her if he really needed to. Smiling, he said, "Yeah, I had honestly completely forgotten about the fact that we can apparate. That will make things easier with checking in if I need to." He wondered briefly how Julie would take him deciding to take a week-long trip away before firmly reminding himself that it wasn't going to be an issue, of course, because all she would need to know was that Claire could be looked after. And he would give her advance notice, of course. It was all fine. Llian grinned at Juls' comments. "Really? Just a bathroom? I may just have to challenge you on that statement. It's so much more fun than 'just a bathroom.'" |

"I really don't think we would be here if we couldn't." Juls responded, laughing a little bit. "Because otherwise we'd be stuck on a plane, and it'd take hours, and then there's security, and all that boring stuff..." It did make things easier, definitely. There were some parts of the wizarding world that seemed so, so very far behind when it came to things like telephones and ipods and the like, but then so far advanced, when it came to traveling. All in perspective, she supposed. Going back to the bathroom conversation, Juls just shook her head, "It is, honestly, just a bathroom. I don't think you can convince me. I just can't picture what could be so...fantastic, about a bathroom." Okay, she had to grin at that. Pretended ignorance, right? |

Llian laughed and nodded. "True. That's a good point, but sometimes it's nice to travel by plane. I like using different muggle ways of travel. Although I have to say that cars, for the most part, still confuse me." But the conversation about bathrooms was actually more interesting than the one about travel. How often could someone say that? Llian just shrugged in response before saying, "Well, if you don't know, maybe you should go find out." Was he really suggesting that? Yes, yes he was. Had he honestly expected to? Not really. But hey - living in the moment was always the best idea, in his opinion. |

"I guess for the experience, of riding a plane, or riding in a car, yes, but...apparating is so much faster? It just seems like a little bit of a waste of time otherwise." Cars. She rode in one, once, and it was really bumpy and fast and she'd held on to the door and the console in the middle the whole time. She was definitely all for apparation. Fast, so you aren't wasting all your vacation time, you personally control your destination, easy... And jet-lag? So not fun. But you can't bash it till you've tried it, and she'd gotten on a plane to come to England. Just because, once you're on a plane...you're completely safe, for that whole ride. No one is going to try to apparate into a small, moving object tens of thousands of feet in the air. She liked that part of it. Moving on though, Juls sat back with Llian suggested she should go find out herself. "Maybe I will." She responded, glancing around so she could pinpoint exactly where the bathrooms were, and then added, "But if it's as great as you're suggesting, I will probably be so transfixed in it you might have to come get me." A simple shrug, a bit of a laugh, and she was up, walking around a few empty tables to disappear into said bathroom. A challenge was a challenge, right? She wasn't going to pass up the opportunity. Besides, bathrooms in a fancier restaurant were usually really well-designed, she didn't mind checking it out. It was just kind of amusing to her that, yes, they had probably been teasing, and now she was calling his bluff. Either that, or, the suggestion might actually be taken up. Yeah. So what did you do this weekend? 'I had some fun in the bathroom of the restaurant in the Eiffel Tower...' Juls just grinned to herself, after wandering the length of it and finding it empty, and slid up onto the rounded, elegant sink to swing her legs and wait. |

As soon as Juls got up and left the table, Llian was tempted to follow. However, he was stopped by two things, the first being the fact that it would look really odd if he immediately followed her into the bathroom and the second being his own thoughts. His natural instinct was telling him to go follow her. She was clearly testing him to see if he would go through with it, and he really really wanted to. But was it really fair to her? Llian couldn't lie to himself and say that he was ready for a relationship with someone new. He didn't want that - he knew what he wanted, and he was pretty sure that was now impossible - but he didn't want to be using her. He knew that so far she hadn't had a problem with their casual little setup, but he honestly felt like it wasn't fair. She deserved better than hooking up with him. .........And he hated the fact that his conscience was acting up now. Now, when there was a wonderful, attractive woman who was all right with nothing serious waiting for him. If she had a problem with anything, she would tell him. Of course she would, right? So, with that semi-comforting thought - and the fact that a couple of minutes had safely passed - he stood up and headed in the direction of the restrooms, making sure no one was around before ducking into the women's room. He found Juls there, sitting on the counter. Luckily, there seemed to be no one around. Grinning he walked towards her and stood in front of the sink. "Guess I had to come in and get you after all," he remarked. |

Honestly? The bathroom was rather nice. Towels instead of paper and an actual soap thing as opposed to that foamy who-knows-what that comes out of regular public bathrooms. And the more details she noticed, the more she grew restless. She almost jumped off the counter when she heard the door opening, because people didn't usually go into bathrooms to sit on a counter. But it was just Llian, and she watched him walk in, leaning back against the mirror as he stood in front of her. "Guess you did." She responded, a bit of a grin quirking up the sides of her lips, despite trying not to. "It's just a fabulous bathroom." But, it was, as she'd said before, a bathroom, so she really did just grin at that. |

Llian looked around somewhat appreciatively. He supposed it was nice, as restaurant bathrooms went. They were clearly very dedicated there at providing customers with the best care possible, extending that mentality to their bathrooms as well. But he wasn't really focused on the bathrooms. "Oh yes, pretty great," he agreed. "For a lot of different purposes," he couldn't help but add with a grin. "So, what am I gonna have to do to get you to focus on me again instead of this clearly irresistable room?" |

His 'for a lot of different purposes' elicited a laugh from Juls, and she nodded in agreement, glancing around once more. "I suppose there's probably been a lot of makeup-fixing and tear-drying in here as well, you're perfectly right." She honestly...didn't want to know how many people used bathrooms for what they were - albeit slowly - leading to. It was interesting though... "I guess I do owe you a thank-you for introducing me to said irresistible room..." She responded slowly, as if thinking for a moment, reaching out and slipping her fingers into his belt-loops on his jeans, pulling him closer. Sitting on the counter gave her no height troubles, luckily, and she just leaned forward and kissed him, short and sweet. "But," She continued, a quick smirk on her face to join her words, "Keeping my attention is all your own creativity." |

As she pulled him closer, Llian just grinned and leaned into the kiss. Well, he certainly wasn't about to complain. "I think I like that thank you," he said when she pulled back. "But I guess I've got some work to do as far as holding your attention..." Standing closer now, he could easily reach her, and he rested his hands at her hips, leaning in to capture her lips again, this time lingering, taking longer to pull back. When he pulled back, he remarked, "Yet somehow I don't feel like that's enough effort..." |

"Do you?" Juls laughed, "It's my favourite kind." She definitely didn't mind when his kissed her again, leaning back, away from the mirror, keeping her fingers just caught in his pants. "I'm hard-pressed to stay focused on one thing to another..." Juls teased, especially after he said he didn't think it was enough effort. Still, after Monday, this was wellll welcomed. "Maybe..." She suggested, "You should try a little harder." Not that her eyes were on the bathroom, so really, what he'd been trying to do was actually fulfilled. |
