This is not the way a 'day off' should be spent.

Ok. So first, she'd headed to the charity, dropped off the smuggled books, Catalina's clothes, and money she'd gotten for donating a never-looked-at-piece of silverware. She had to be very careful about all of this, because she would find herself ordered against stealing from Damien- which was a very enjoyable pastime.

Now that she was out and about, she was wearing her ring again, though only while she was away. She just wanted to look at it on her hand again- because it slightly felt as though her fingers ached for that. Well, at the very least, her heart did. She was in pretty constant agony for the void of her husband.

Yet, when she'd stopped in at a shop in Diagon and realized the date, it was then that she realized she was ... late. Of course, it had been a while since Damien had.. well, since this had been a possibility- but it had been a constant concern of hers for the past five years. If it happened now, she was screwed.

Ending up on her way to the maternity floor was not her idea of a fun day-off. She decided instead, that at the very least she was going to get real food, a lemon bar, or some such thing. As such, she headed up the stairs to the Tea Room, feeling as though her heart was in her throat. She had a little while before heading to her..appointment.

When she reached the top of the stairs, however, she found herself behind a girl who appeared to be floating, not walking. With golden hair, a cross on her neck, and a perfectly placed smile, this girl was somewhat of a vision of 'perfection' to her.

Lucky.

And she was going for the last lemon bar. Merlin, this was just not her day...

"Excuse me...are you going to eat that lemon bar?" She blinked hungrily at it, trying her best not to show how hungry she was.

Actually, considering how limited her money was [Damien had also forbidden her from buying magical items without his express direction]- she was technically stealing from him to buy a lemon bar too. That was a fun thought.

Grace turned around politely, still smiling as she realized someone else wanted the lemon bar. "Oh! You can have it."

She offered up the bar, and sat down at a table after paying, though she wasn't sure how to get the potion into her muffin's now. Even so, she was intrigued by this girl, who so clearly wasn't happy. Even if she didn't betray much by her expression- her eyes showed how hungry she was [she had a feeling she knew why the girl was so slim and with her Legilimency, Grace was quite keen on knowing more.

In the meantime, since she'd have to remain eyecontact, she turned and waved saying,

"Oh? Sit with me, perhaps?"

Surprised with the free lemon bar, Jana took a few surprised seconds of looking into the girls eyes before saying,

"Thanks." Ok, so, maybe it was only a lemon bar- but so little ever went right for her anymore that she was unbelievably happy to know someone was still kind in the world- someone would give up the last lemon bar...

Well, yeah. But even so, Jana was far too aware of the real world. When the girl wanted her to sit with her, she looked down and realized she still had her ring on. Damn. Probably should hide that. She slipped it into her pocket, and sighed. She'd wanted to sit alone.

But the girl had given her the lemon bar. What harm would sitting with her do?

"Oh...sure." She mumbled slightly, sitting down across from the bright, smiling, picture perfect person.

Grace continued smiling as the girl sat down across from her and said softly,

"Grace Boheme, Ms.." She checked out the answer in Legilimency and realized that her name was Eppes. Pureblood, then? Hm..she really despised the purebloods...but that was to be expected of her. One thing was sure, this girl was a mystery to her.

Grace did love learning about anyone around her. Knowledge was very powerful, and almost anything could be used.

"And I'm sorry, it's just..you looked sort of like, you shouldn't be alone right now. Everything alright?"

"Jana Rivers." Jana said, forcing a bit of a smile. Grace. Merlin, she was like, glowing. It was slightly annoying, because even her name seemed to fit with this angelic image. Of course, Jana wasn't adverse to kindness- and it was only a lemon bar, but...she wasn't buying this. Something about everything with Grace seemed off. She wasn't going to buy this 'perfection' image- even if she could play along.

Was everything all right? Ha! Funny. That was an amazingly annoying question though. Deciding that she couldn't deny her own unhappiness at being pregnant [if she was...and she'd better not be...]- she could at least offer this woman some sort of explanation. This..Grace.

"And well, to be honest? Not exactly....I mean, I'm not in the hospital for nothing, right? Don't worry about it though, I'm..I'm sure everything is going to be fine here."

She was. She was good at convincing herself of things, and at the very least presenting a good image.

Jana Rivers? It was quite instantly aware to Grace that Jana was lying, whether or not she'd already known that her last name was 'Eppes'. Of course, Jana would only personally think about that, and if she attempted to call up memories then Jana would be reliving those too. Far better to wait for Jana to do so on her own. Waiting and waching was easy for her.

" Aw, I'm sorry. Is someone here? I know how you feel actually.." Her voice faltered perfectly, tears threatening her eyes, "My cousin is here...she's been in a coma for nearly two months.."

Jana didn't miss the flicker of surprise at her last name- but she didn't fully comprehend it. All she knew was that she hated using her last name- her maiden name, because she was married. She was an Eppes, she was married to Llian, and she was an Eppes. Why was she thinking about that now? Well, to be sure, it never was far from her mind whenever Damien's order forced her to use her maiden name. Because it wasn't her...that wasn't who she was anymore. If she was going to be Jana Rivers again, she could at least go back to the amount of freedom she'd had then.

And here she was thinking about this when Grace was confiding in her that her cousin was in a freaking coma for months.

"Oh merlin! Sorry.." Jana really wasn't good at comforting people, at least, not anymore. She blinked oddly, and decided to clear up the other mystery herself.

"And, oh, no, I'm just..here for me."

Yeah. For a pregnancy test. She didn't visibly wince, but flashes of the last time she had been with Damien were completely threatening to take her over again. Merlin, he already had five children, and she was not going to bear him another...

Not to mention, she didn't want to even think about the apparent "bloodline" issue of such a child. Bloody hell, she hated him. And yet, none of this crossed her face.

As Grace began calling up memories slowly and listening to what Jana was thinking about, if she had no composure- she'd have been shocked. That was a wealth of information. Damien...Damien Silverhawk? Huh. That name sounded familiar for some reason.

Oh yes. That was the father of her final addition to the people she'd recruited Tim to take care of at the ball. What was his name? Caleb Silverhawk. Curious. Of course, when they reached why Jana was there, and Jana started reliving those memories instead, Grace did wince slightly. Ok, ew, she really hadn't needed to relive that.

This was quite the wealth of information though. What had Jana meant by 'she was Llian's wife, and an Eppes'?...she was married, and clearly not to Damien, nor was she using her married name. And why? Unclear. The fact that she hated someone who had...well, who might have impregnated her was quite interesting as well.

Curiouser and curiouser...it was quite intriguing what a quick stop upstairs could cause you to learn.

"Oh, it's ok. Jilly's woken up!" Grace said, with a bright smile, "So I was up here looking for something to bring her...well, besides my homemade muffins."

She softened her smile and said, " Oh. Is everything going ok with you? Sorry if I'm prying...just.."

Ha..prying. She already had the whole story of why she was there. She continued to attempt to call forth memories of the Silverhawks, curious to know why Damien was so strongly affecting her. Actually, at that moment, she was outraged by the adultury- the adultury of them both. They were both married, Damien and Jana. This was inexcusable. If Jana was pregnant, surely it was God's way of punishing her.

And she could take care of punishing Damien herself.

Faking a glance at her watch, Jana answered with a "pretend" apology.

"Oh! I'm sorry, thanks for the lemon bar, I've got to go..my appointment.."

Fun. Caleb definately hadn't been thinking of this when he'd thought of her taking the 'day off'... it was ridiculous. Wrenching her eyes from Grace's [she only just realized they'd been pretty much staring at one another], she stood, and gathered together the crumbs to throw away. Habit of cleaning basicly every mess in their house, she supposed.

She waved as cheerily as she could manage- that was .. quite the strange encounted to be sure, and headed downstairs to the Outpatient Center.

----

Grace was taken aback to realize that Caleb had survived, or else, she'd meant someone else. This bore furthur study- onto who a Llian Eppes was, and the family, and this curious persona of Jana 'Rivers'.

She waved a goodbye as well, realizing herself that the supposed chance meeting might have just given her the next task she'd been looking for.

The Silverhawks.

[note: this is a continuation of the Den's rp which is still going on. this all happened prior to the current Leo/Lena rp, therefore she is not in two places at once :) ]

----

This was getting simply ridiculous, the whole Den was practically at Mungos now. Well minus Mist and Ri, but they would probably be here soon enough. Elena decided to not stay around at Juls's room, mostly because Iain was accompanying her, and also due to the fact that he had been crying. So now, they were in the gift shop as Iain was on the ground playing with the toys. "You can pick out one that you like hun, and Aunty Lena will buy it for you." She said as she squat down beside him and smiled. Usually she was irritated with kids, but no, Iain was the exception.

Iain grinned as he waved around a toy truck, stating that he had decided to pick this one. "Tis! Kin-dee?"

It took her a while to finally comprehende what he wanted. "Oh candy?" She laughed as she picked him up and brought him over toward the candy section. For once she had to be responsible so that meant no candy that he could choke on, so jellybeans were definitely out of the question. Sugarquills? They seemed to be safe. She picked up two and gave them to Iain, who instantly stuck one in his mouth and beamed. "Now if you end up getting cavities, don't blame me." She joked.

Lena wanted to pick something out for Jay and Juls, but from the look of it her hands were completely full. Walking back over to the toy section, she placed Iain down, "Now you stay right here okay? Stay. That means no crawling, no playing hide and seek. Aunty Lena will buy you another toy if you stay." She said, laughing at how she was bribing him with toys. Well if she was a kid, it would have definitely work. Taking a few steps back, she made sure he was rooted to the spot before she went and got two teddy bears and 'Get Well Soon' balloons. Now she had to deal with the art of carrying them all, Merlin if only she had eight arms.

This was when magic comes into good use. Lena shrunk them all down to relatively small sizes before she wandered back to find Iain building a lego castle. "Wow, you are definitely Ri's kid." She said, rather impressed as she picked him up.

"Key-sal. Dreegan. Rawr." He clapped, rather amused.

"You know what cutie, I'm going to buy that castle just for you, and this dragon costume." Lena grinned. At this rate she was going to spoil him rotten. Once she paid for everything and packed them all away in her purse, she helped Iain get into his costume. "Oh, how scary!" She gasped. "Alright there mister dragon, let's go see if we can find your uncle and aunty."
