"It's okay," Tree said comfortably, shutting the door behind them. "Look, I overreacted. It's just... weird." He forced a grin onto his face and flicked on the lights in the living room. "But, of course, I'm sure that you know all about that." |

Glenn followed him into the living room. "Well, I kind of invaded your personal space, although I just looked at it as an 'I really want to get in to see him, how do I do that?' kind of issue." She laughed. "So anyway, after all the theatrics, I can't remember why exactly it was that I came here..." She spun around a few times and then sat down on the couch. "Where's Mimi?" |

"I dunno," Tree said after a moment, furrowing his brow. "I haven't seen her since I got home, actually." He flicked on all of the lights in his apartment, now searching for the cat. "Mimi!" he called, a bit worried. |

"That's not exactly good," she said. "Want me to help you look?" she stood up and started to walk after him. "Oh! I remember why I came over here...Bella will be here in...ten minutes? And I want you to have a good time. Okay?" She smirked at him - she could start right away because Bella was her friend's older sister. And she could at least start the lineup. Or maybe she'd be perfect... |

"Bella?" he echoed dully. "Do we really have to start this tonight? Don't I get a twenty-four hour grace period or something?" He messed with his hair unconsciously until it stuck up a bit in the front. |

Glenn shook her head. "No, Tree, you don't. Now hurry up and get ready, use magic, because she's going to be here any minute." As if waiting for a cue, there was a knock on the door. Glenn grinned at Tree, and raised her eyebrows at him in a suggestive manner. "That'd be her, then," she smirked. "And that's my cue to go..unless you want me to wait and see you off." |

Tree frowned. "I still think that you could have given me a bit of advance warning," he grumbled, striding over to the door in order to answer it. "But no, don't feel obliged to see me off." He raised his eyebrows at Glenn, hoping to cue her to leave. |

Glenn nodded curtly, unable to keep a smirk off her face. "Toodles, then," she said, and disapparated. Bella Orazio stood outside the door in a beige dress - she was a bit weirded out when Jenny's friend had owled asking if she wanted a blind date, but the guy had sounded nice enough. So, she waited. [[bella = npc]] |

He glanced over his clothes- plain blue button-down shirt, leather jacket, dark jeans- and couldn't bring himself to change for the sake of whatever girl Glenn had asked to date him. Tree opened the door and did his best to smile at the girl standing there. She was pretty, of course, but he couldn't help but feel... zero interest. Still, though, perhaps it would get better as the evening went on. "Hi," he greeted evenly. "I'm Terrence- more often called Tree, unfortunately. It's nice to see you." He was lying, but he was pretty good at it. He was still his father's son, auror or not. |

Bella looked up at him skeptically. "Well if you'd rather I called you Terrence I could..." she said, accommodatingly. It was hard because she knew almost nothing about him. "I'm Bella Orazio...it's lovely to meet you," She was a bit uncertain, but she was going to trust Glenn, who had said he just needed to get used to being around people. "So...what are we doing?" |

"Nah, Tree's fine," he said simply, shoving his hands a little awkwardly into his pockets. "I don't really have a preference as to where we go... So... Your pick?" |

Bella shrugged. "There's a nice restaurant in Paris I was thinking we could go to - I'm sure you've heard of it?" She hated having to be the one to come up with something but if he'd asked her, then she wasn't going to say she couldn't think of anything. "It's called Très Romantique - maybe you know where it is too?" She offered her hand. "I mean, if you want, we could go there, it's not required to have reservations." |

He winced, looking at her hand for a moment before shaking it awkwardly. "That sounds good," he answered quickly. "Uh, should we go?" |

Bella flinched when he shook her hand, and then kept her hand tucked around his. "Alright," she said, softly. "We're going now..." With that, she disapparated with him. |

Tree returned to his flat, sighing and taking off his jacket. As if on cue, Mimi appeared by his side, purring and rubbing herself up against his leg. He grinned halfheartedly and picked her up, feeling her curl tightly into his arms as he carried her into the small kitchen to get her a special evening treat. |

Glenn sat in the kitchen eating a piece of toast and drinking tea, wearing a red nightgown and slippers. Her hair was wavy and fell down her shoulders. "Hey," she said. "I was about to crawl into bed and then I said to myself, 'I wonder how Tree is doing?' So I came to wait up for you and interrogate you..." She smiled. "So...how was it?" |

He took in her... rather subtly-sexy red night gown and loose hair and raised his eyebrows. So... a girl whom he had just met was eating toast in his kitchen and obviously planning to stay the night. "Nice to see that you're making yourself at home," he said dryly, by way of greeting. He turned around to get a bit of catnip from the cupboard above the sink and then bent down, handing it to Mimi, who snatched it off of his palm greedily. "It was lovely. We quickly decided that we have absolutely no romantic connection, so she left," he yawned, scratching Mimi's ears absently. |

Glenn shook her head, and mumbled through a bite of toast, "Oh, I wasn't going to stay if you didn't want me to, honestly..." She swallowed, and finished, "I was just hoping you'd let me because otherwise I have to sneak in..." She shrugged. "But if I'm making myself at home and you're not complaining, then thanks, invitation to stay accepted." She smiled. But then the smile disappeared. "You call that lovely?" she asked. "I'm trying to set you up with someone, anyone, and you call failure something lovely??" She sighed, exasperated. |

Tree sat next to Glenn at the counter, having gotten a cookie for himself from the package that Blu had sent. "I was thinking," he said, taking a bite, "about why I'm happy that it's a failure. You know... I think it's because I already like someone else. So, thanks for your help, but I don't think your services will be necessary any longer." He said this all very matter-of-factly, resisting the urge to look over at her. It was a bit difficult, though- she was adorable in that little red nightgown. And he was a warm-blooded guy... |

Glenn turned to glare at him, but then found she couldn't take her eyes off of him. After almost choking on the last bite of toast, she asked him, "Why couldn't you have told me that, and saved me all this trouble, by just letting me set you up with her instead of with Bella?" She sighed, and frowned, but still found she had to look at him. She wasn't...jealous of that girl, was she? Tree was old, that was ridiculous. |
