"Well it is easy. It seems you aren't having a problem with it, just a nice slow speed and you know how it works. So if you have the hang of it, let's speed it up to about, 50 miles per hour? What do you think?"

I glanced back and forth between the parking lot and Ella, seeing that she was getting a feel for the car and what to do. She feels safe in things she has a grasp on, driving was no different.

"I think I'm safe where I'm at," Ella told him. "Not to dissapoint or anything, but I'd rather not push my limits." She smiled and looked at him only after she hit the brake so the car came to a stop.

I met Ella's gaze and frowned.

"Ahhh, well ok."

I jumped over the side of the door and walked around to the driver's side, looking down at Ella behind this 'bumblebee' of a car.

"I think it's about time we headed back to the castle, what do you think?"

"You know it won't be the last time I try to drive," Ella reminded him, and then nodded; She had after-all found something entirely new to be determined to understand. "Alright." She opened the door to trade spots with Blaine, and got in the car again on the passengers side.

I jumped in the driver's seat and waited for Ella to get in. As she did, I threw it in drive and followed the road back onto the highway.

"Yeah, well if you can see yourself doing this again, it might be kind of hard to bring that up at a death-eater's meeting, don't you think?"

I looked over at Ella and laughed.

"How would that be?" Faking importance I said: "Now Ella, you can't run around in or around muggle places and possibly hinder our plans! You are a fool, blah blah blah!"

Speeding up, I was back on the highway, closing on the castle.

"You have a point. Trust me, they'd probably find some threat to use against me if they ever knew I was involved in anything to do with muggles," Ella told him and shook her head. "But what's life without a little risk?"

"Exactly. Life is nothing if you don't go out on a limb for something. As long as you know how to keep a low profile, Italy isn't a problem. It's not like I have any details on my name that muggles would investigate me for. I just used to be a lawyer for some important muggles. I've made my share, and that's how I am able to make this a very affordable escape. It's good to have sometimes."

I made my way off the highway, and the castle started coming into view more clearly as it was lit up beautifully at night. Everytime I've seen it, it feels like it's the first time all over again.

"You asked me a while ago, why I couldn't just drop things and leave. I think I said because I didn't have a reason to, or a way to. But now I do," she said and smiled as she looked out at the castle.

I pulled around the front of the castle and put the bumblebee in park, putting Ella's side towards the front door. An attendant approached the car as I jumped out and threw him the keys.

"Take care of it, will ya?" Laughing, he nodded as I helped Ella out of the car.

"So tell me, it wasn't as bad as you thought, right?" Hand in hand, walking towards the front entrance of the castle.

"Actually it wasn't," Ella told him as she walked with him toward the castle. "A bit less scary then I figured too."

I opened the door for Ella as we both stepped inside.

"There is a speed track around here somewhere. Next time, I'll let you go as fast as you want. Probably is more liberating than what you think."

We walked up towards the elevator door as I put my arm around Ella and kissed the top of her head.

I whispered so only she could hear me: "You shone like a star tonight Ella. I doubt you are ever going to fade."

The doors opened as we stepped inside.

Ella laughed. "I think speeding I'd be good at," she said, and then blushed at his words as she stepped inside the elevator. "You know thanks never seems to fit as a reply to that sort of thing, so I never know what to say." Which she felt was ridiculous and was no doubt a contributing factor to her blushing.

I looked at her as I hit the button for the floor of my room.

"Well in all my years of experience, making the person speechless was always a good thing."

I looked out the doors before they closed and then down at Ella, grinning. I put my arm around her.

"Don't worry, we are one step closer to steady ground. It'll only take a couple seconds."

"The elevator isn't so bad anymore. A little strange still, but I'll live," Ella said as she looked at him and grinned.

I laughed and kissed her lightly.

"You know you really are something. You are or have always tried something at least once, and you are daring. It's like I see a new side of you everytime, and it's addictive."

The door dinged as it opened to reveal my lamp lit room. Apparently someone came in and tended to my bed sheets in the guest room. We stepped out of the elevator and I turned Ella towards me.

"You have given me air to breathe Ella. How am I supposed to live without air?"

Ella had kissed him back, and then smiled at his words. When she was turned to face him, and heard those words, she said, "I don't expect you to. I'm not going anywhere as long as you want me to be around."

"I've never told you to leave, I've just gave you the option to in the past. Never have I wanted you to. It always bothered me when you did because I never knew when I'd get to see you again."

I looked down into her gaze and met her eyes, warmily:

"Let's say we get outta here and go back to a more familiar place?"

Ella nodded in agreement with his last question, and then to his first words she said, "Well then be assured, because I'm not going anywhere." She smiled.

I hugged her and closed my eyes to envision my bedroom, and before she knew, we were back at my house. When I opened my eyes, I notice I still hadn't cleaned up from where the owl rummaged through my things so I chuckled.

"Some owl you got there Ella."

I stepped back and pulled my t-shirt off and stepped into the bathroom, shutting the door behind me.
