Harmony hadn't anticipated sharing a few key facts about her - so far away from her whole sob story, however, given that she really didn't go into the whole drama of turning her first love into a vampire, him dying and coming back to stalk her, having an affair with her ex-husband's father, having Dante move into this house to be with her friend Anna, only to fall for him herself when Anna couldn't decide what guy she wanted. She could have gone into how much of a whirlwind romance her relationship with Dante had been, and how she had reminded her to have fun. How he helped her arise Angel like she was his own blood...though honestly, she might have been. She could go into him cheating on her first with his first love, the one who had given him Kitty, a baby Harm raised as her own as well, and how she had forgiven him that because it seemed like he was having a mental break...killing people. She could even go into how he tried to go back to Anna, and Sam was still around, and how she just couldn't handle it anymore. How she tried to keep their relationship going, and through being involved in the multitudes of crazy people trying to kill them. She could go into how many times she'd been kidnapped, tortured...how much she had gone through. But those were heavy topics and she didn't know him well enough to truly give him her life. His question caught her off-guard, a bite of asparagus halfway to her mouth as it was asked. She blinked at him; this wasn't something someone had ever asked her. "Nine." And then the next question made her realize he was attempting to switch the conversation. "Bluebells." She answered obediently, grinning after she finished a few more bites. "And if it is, I'd be an avid follower. What's your favourite...dessert?" |

Henry watched as thoughts seems to buzz through Harmony's mind, he didn't want to interrupt. That was an important tactic he learned as a lawyer, only press them when there is something you need from them, and from how Harmony looked, he didn't think this was the time to press on what she was thinking. Her own slight distance gave Henry a chance to decipher things that Harmony would even be remotely interested in... criminal lawyer... married and divorced - twice, once when he was young... brother dying in front of him... being the 'ugly duckling' so to speak, well never physically, just learning to own his leadership potential... basically wanting Caleb out of office so he could be top dog... There were so many things that he could tell her, but she may find being a lawyer or Deputy Chief of the Wizengamot to be boring. He took in the information Harmony was giving her, and if she allowed for the second date, it would help him make it better for her. So, bluebells, he could arrange that, and he had to make sure of quality with her being a florist. His mind finally snapped back to reality and he smiled. "Chocolate, anything with chocolate. And I've eaten dumb things with chocolate, like chocolate covered chilis." he laughed. And with her response, he was almost sure that as far as dessert went, they were on the same page with what dessert they were having. |

So quiet. It was such a difference from what Harmony was used to in men. Tyrael had given her his entire life story in full vivid detail within the first few times they talked. At the time she thought it was endearing...but it really left no room for surprises. Dante had opened up to her...he hadn't started clamming up on her until about a year ago. The fact that Henry had not only completely ignored her question about him, but also switched the conversation back to her? It was interesting. "I could do with some chocolate." She agreed, trying to imagine a chocolate covered chili. She didn't imagine that would taste too good... at all. In fact the thought of it literally made a shudder run down her spine, eating the last few bites on her plate to try and get the phantom taste out of her mouth. "I have a soft spot for whipped cream too..." Her voice had dipped in volume and pitch, unconsciously reacting to the nonverbal conversation they were having between the lines of a somewhat innocent conversation about sweets. However, she was more persistant than people gave her credit for, "Let's play a game. Two truths and a lie. You tell me two true things about you, and one lie about you, in any order, and I'll guess which one isn't real." |

Finishing up his dinner a few bite behind her, Henry smiled rather mischeviously, but not in a way that was malicious. "Well if I love chocolate, and you love whipped cream, and you haven't a dessert but those two things, I am sure we can be rather creative in making our own desserts..." He suggested, that twinkle returning to his eyes. There was no way he couldn't be attracted to a woman who was in control of herself. Going to the trouble of making dinner for them when he could have taken her out to some of the finest restaurants the Wizarding World had to offer. "Here, let me bring the plates to the sink. You made a delicious dinner." He said, standing up and coming around the table to clear Harmony's plate. "Two truths and a lie... hmmm... I live near to where I grew up, I spent a few years practicing law in the muggle world and I have 3 pet cats." He said with a smile, waling towards the sink. |

Harmony couldn't help it; when Henry's suggestive words were paired with a playful smile, she had to laugh. There was genuine amusement and appreciation in her tone, starting to get up as she realized he was finished too. Dinner really didn't take all that long, understandably. That was part of why she thought she liked doing it in her own house; there were no excessive silences to fill waiting pre-ordering and waiting for the food and then waiting for the check. It was their own pace, moving on as necessary. Before she could stand though, Henry was getting up and offering to clean for her, earning him another radiant smile....especially as she was greeted face to face with what she would probably call his pride and joy. Again laughter filled her throat, but this time she kept it in, biting her lip as she too rose and headed over to her fridge. Harm had to clear her throat before she spoke again, hiding her very slight flush in the coolness of her fridge. "Well luckily for us, dessert was supposed to include both chocolate and whipped cream..." To go along with the fancier main course, she figured sundaes or splits would be a good end. If he wanted to skip the ice cream part of it though...she was probably a little too willing. "Hm." With a spray can of whipped cream in one hand and a bottle of chocolate syrup in the other, Harm bumped the fridge shut and turned to study him. The options he gave her weren't very outrageous...but she figured she could get an explanation on the things that were truths - always a plus to the game. "You don't have three cats." Though she was unsure of the statement, she went with the least practical - from what she had heard from him he was a hardcore businessman, and while cats were independent, they still needed to be fed and their litter boxes changed. |

Henry watched Harm busy herself in the fridge, not to say he wasn't checking out the goods as she was bent over. "Are you okay?" He asked with a smile when she re-emerged from the fridge, she was a little pink in the cheeks. "Can I see?" He gestured at the whipped cream can and Harmony handed it over. "Now open up..." He said as he shook the can up. "Not something that we should be modelling..." He said, filling Harmony's mouth full of whipped cream while laughing. Reaching up to Harmony's face, he cleaned off a drop from her face then licked it off his finger. "Good way to end a meal." he said as a matter-of-factly with a smile. "Ah correct, no cats. Your turn." He admitted, vaguely aware of her plot to have him divulge information, but he shrugged it off, There was only so much attention he could divert. "Hmm?" Harm played dumb at his question, though the ignorance was ruined slightly by her instant smile. Honestly, she didn't think she'd smiled at adult interaction this much in...well, too long. Really, really too long. She easily gave up the whipped cream when he asked for it, eyebrows wiggling for a moment as he filled her mouth with it; taking a little off the corner of her lips for himself. Enjoying the thick, sugary concoction in her mouth, she had to swallow a few times before she could speak again, licking her lips to remove any trace of the mouthful. "Definitely not a good thing to model." She laughed, "Nor the dessert I planned...but if this is how you want it..." But he was the one who liked chocolate on anything, he said, and she opened the cap to pour a little on her finger, tasting it first. "Okay, so where did you grow up? And...what made you want to go into law?" To get her answers, she slid the syrup behind her back and raised an eyebrow in playful challenge. Obviously he'd get a treat if he behaved... |

This evening seemed to be going well, and although the dessert wasn't as Harmony had planned, they were still enjoying themselves. He watched the finger of syrup go into her mouth, her lips closing around the finger and then the finger coming out clean. Hmm.. "We can still have the sundaes if you wish, I just thought I'd give you some whipped cream." He winked, trying to look innocent. Hmm... he found himself making passing glances at her lips. "Manchester. Around the time I was ready to leave Hogwarts, I became more vocal about the idea of right and wrong so it gave me the idea to go to law school. I stayed in the Muggle world, before coming back to the world I belong in and I started practicing as a criminal lawyer before getting my position now." He told her simply, offering up a little extra information to curb curiosity. "Your turn." He said, closing any remaining space between he and Harmony. |

"I'm perfectly fine with just the toppings." Harm told him, though she added a simple, "But if you want ice cream I'd be happy to find a way to work with it." It was cold, but the sensation was just fine...and she always did appreciate creativity. It was so motherly of her, encouraging inspiration and...growth. She noticed his focal point sliding to her mouth after she had tasted the chocolate, instinctively wetting her lips under his scrutiny. It wasn't all that subtle, the tension growing in the room. One shouldn't be surprised; the kitchen was full of sensual things, but she'd never really thought of it that way. It also was giving her what she wanted; information about him. Though she tended not to like Ministry anything...from the law to the workers to, really, basically anything, there was still an attraction to him. Besides, it had been long enough that she wasn't so scared of the Ministry. It didn't bother her at all...in fact, just the name "criminal law" brought in all those situations where grey area was the normal. Glad he wanted to continue the game, she pursed her lips for a moment, trying to think of her own options while he was being entirely distracting with his proximity. With a quick grin at him she closed her eyes shut and answered, "My eyes are blue, I'm in my early twenties, and..." Even with her eyes closed, she was highly aware of how close he was to her, a wry twist to her lips as she finished, "I'm really distracted right now." |

It wasn't until he was so close to her that he was aware he was giving off so much body heat. But was it her that the heat was coming from? It was too hard to tell with their bodies nearly pressed together. Taking a minute to try and break the intensity, Henry grabbed a mouthful of whipped cream himself. Using his left hand, Henry tilted up Harmony's chin gently and looked closely at her eyes. Green, that was her lie. But before he said anything, he planted his lips on hers. They were just a delicious and succulent as he imagined. his right hand blindly put the can back on the counter and then found its way to her side. He pulled away after a few moments and looked relieved, it was definite, he wanted her. "You eyes are green my dear." he muttered to her. |

Harmony wondered if maybe she should be feeling cornered. She really didn't know much about this Henry, other than the fact that he was different...different than all the other men she had found herself attracted to. Hell, even in looks. Golden locks and golden hues and all angelic boys...Henry was more of a fallen angel with his dark hair and piercing eyes. She supposed it did him well in court, before he had returned to the Wizarding World. She could see where he could be intimidating. At the same time, she didn't feel challenged at all. She felt very womanly, very noticed, and very magnetically drawn to him; no nerves whatsoever. Used to following her instincts, it meant she was completely relaxed with the whole situation. In the split moment that Henry was tasting his own dollop of dessert, she'd assessed this and moved on more to focusing on how aware of him she was. Especially with her eyes closed; she could practically feel her own temperature rising from the waves of heat off his his body. Harm lifted her chin with Henry's guidance easily enough as he puzzled through her game, but she kept her eyes firmly shut just to see what he would say. It was a cliche trick, especially as she was fully aware there were other parts of her his eyes had been focusing on - and not minding whatsoever. Because her eyes were closed though, she hadn't seen the decision in his eyes; the motion toward her. She was surprised when she felt his lips pressing against hers, responding blindly before she even had managed to process what was happening. Her hands, previously holding the syrup behind her back, unfurled to touch him, press against his shirt. It was an exploration and a move to pull him closer, chocolate bouncing unharmed to the floor. It was only when he pulled away that Harm fully comprehended what had just happened, eyes fluttering open to confirm his answer and to really look at him. She was silent, eyes searching his for something, but in time her lips quirked up in a smirk as she teased, "You taste good." Well of course he did; he had just eaten her whipped cream. |

It wasn't unti the bottle hit the floor that Henry remembered that Harm was holding the chocolate sauce from him. He backed her into the island and helped her to sit on top. Now they were on even ground or rather height. "Why thank you, you are quite delicious yourself" He murmured, his lips back near her's. Delicious was an understatement, but there were no real words for how good it felt to kiss someone like Harmony. He eased her legs open and stood between them, kissing from her mouth to just behind her earlobe, his hands tailing up her thighs. His right hand went back to her side and back, the other tangled itself in her hair as he kissed her neck. There were no soft and tender emotions at the moment, all that existed within Henry was cold, hard desire, and that desire only released its icy grip when his skin touched Harmony's. He unlatched his lips from her neck only to look at her again. "I know this is soon... just tell me if you want me to stop." he told her breathlessly. Edited by Henry Bailey, Apr 11 2011, 05:08 AM.

The way that it could have been taken...that any of it could have been taken, was completely ignored for a normal, human understanding. You taste good could have been interpreted differently given what he knew about her, maybe even badly...but he didn't even pause a beat. He backed her up, lifted her onto her counter, and all she could think about were the fact that if she leaned forward just the tiniest quarter of an inch, she could be tasting him again. As much as she wanted, to her heart's content. But he was not an idle lover; instead his talented, hot mouth spread fire from her lips to her neck, a delightful chill rushing over her body as he coaxed himself in between her legs and continued to touch her. He didn't blunder; he didn't start to go to an area and wait, afraid of being scolded. He just clearly went where he wanted and took his pleasure from it. Not that she wasn't getting an immense amount either. Fire flared in every place he touched her, gathering in a tight coil low in her stomach, her chin lifting in response to his hand in her hair to give him more access to her neck. She was soft and pliable, oh so willing to move as he wanted to move, breath coming in shorter increments. Then he spoke. Harm looked at him, eyes cloudy and darkened from the lust he invoked in her. Slowly, deliberately, she tightened her legs around his waist to bring his clothed member in direct contact with her own clothed skin, feeling the bulge she had seen but a half an hour previously. Her hands had been on his shoulders to keep her balance when he'd raised her, but now one deliberately trailed down his chest, grabbing a handful of fabric to pull his shirt out of his pants, the other brushing his jaw gently. "Don't." She told him huskily. Don't ever stop; not now, not after he'd reminded her how this feels and whet her appetite for more. |

Despite Harmony's hands being several degrees cooler to the touch than his own skin, he still felt this heat coming off of her. He wanted to feel more of her skin against his, the desire was tightening its grip again, the only thing that was fixing it was more and more. The feeling of desire related to Harmony was like an addiction. no sooner did he get used to one dose of her, he needed more in higher quantities. Despite the minute relief of having his shirt pulled from his jeans, they were still becoming slightly painfully restricting. But in one swift move, Harmony was slid forward that extra little bit so their hips we flush with one another. Next step, was to make the room not so stuffy. He slid his hands up the dress and slowly raised it up over her head, kissing and nibbling at the newly exposed flesh. True to his thoughts, it wasn't just her lips that were delicious, it was everything, there was no part of her body that he didn't want to explore. Finally, his lips returned to Harm's, capturing them in a feverish embrace. This time, he daringly slid his tongue into her mouth despite knowing that her mouth also contained fangs of some sort. That kind of danger only excited him further. He tried his best to hold back a little, so he held onto her face with both hands as they kissed once more. If it was one thing that he'd learned in life, it was that patience paid off, and boy was it hard to be patient with this woman in front of him. |

There it was; the strength of Henry's grip on her skin hardened further and caused her to emit her first, quiet moan. He didn't need to be gentle with her, but she didn't need to tell him that. She didn't have to guide him into taking what he wanted...he plundered, he tasted, he gained. And she loved it. Once his shirt was free from his jeans she set to unbuttoning it, quickly growing irritated with the tiny buttons and the amount of them. There were so many in her way and she was so impatient, especially as their playing fields became incredibly uneven with him easily removing her dress. The feel of his hands trailing up her sides was so incredibly distracting and she just couldn't take the time to pull them out, one by one. She just instinctively managed to accio all his buttons to her waiting hand, the pieces spilling out of her way onto the floor and the counter around them. About the same time she was able to part his shirt and press her fingers to his torso he was tasting her skin, little bites and kisses following the trail her dress had taken. Her hips rolled against the counter, one hand traveling up to run through his short, dark locks. The other hand slid up to push one sleeve off his shoulder, indicating she wanted it off. Off, gone, poof; she wanted it out of her way. Though at the same time, his collar created quite a nice way for her to pull him to her as his mouth finally returned to hers. Part of that was to distract from her lingerie choice. She hadn't actually anticipated this happening; she knew she had been very attracted to him at the Ministry party, but she figured that was a mixture of boredom, alcohol, and the need for someone to make her feel like her again. Clearly, she was proven wrong...but it still didn't change the fact that she was wearing 'fun' underclothes, not sexy. Her simple bra was a brilliant, bright multi-colored animal print, her underwear an understated black lace. Then again, maybe simple and fun as appropriate for a first date where she hadn't been planning on seducing. By the time Henry had deepened the kiss, Harm was flushed and thrumming with the blood he sent flying through her veins. She ran her teeth lightly over his exploring tongue, finally dipping her hand down to his jeans to free the button. She could feel his need for space; this button was a lot easier to get off than his shirt, and with her hand in between them, she ran her thumb down the zipper. He may have been behaving to a point, but she sure as hell didn't feel like being a good girl. |
