Staying upstairs seemed to be the better option. Why he couldn't manage normal conversation he had no idea and it was frustrating. He figured he had made it more awkward by coming downstairs and now only to get up and leave right? Well at least they could talk without his awkward lack of input.

"I'm going upstairs."

Not Dante thought he had to make a announcement of it. Actually after the fact he thought it sounded horrible but he stood up anyways and did what he had said.

it's a rubin thing
Anna looked at Erin turn, and sighed. Maybe it was time to go, how long had she been there, anyway? It hadn't seem like long at all, that was the thing about being with friends, and enjoying yourself. If if it was that simple. Time passed way too fast.

It felt slightly awkward, for Anna, and from her perspective. Something seemed a little off, at least. She wasn't imagining it, and smiled at Harm. "That's believable." Experience with kids was one thing, having one was completely different. She wasn't as smooth with it as she was, just a year ago. She'd thought she knew it all, then.

Anna nodded, "We'll have a riot. Invite Mist and Els, and give the kids wide berth..." She shook her head, "Okay, maybe a lot more civilized. Like a family dinner or something." She shrugged, "I just miss it... all of us, you know? Too much...weird stuff, and I feel like we're all growing so far apart. I'm not a fan."

She looked up when Dante spoke, and blinked. She waited a little and then stood, "I really should go. But it was fantastic seeing you." She lifted Erin, walked over and hugged Harm (or as close to a hug she could manage), and walked to the door. She stopped again.

"How soon is too soon for that babysitting offer?" She squinted, thinking.

Morgan Floo'd into an unfamiliar living room which he assumed to be Dante's house. He hadn't even thought about what he was going to say when Harmony asked him where he was. Ministry? But... hm. Well, Dante didn't have a job. He had no idea what Dante was up to when he got pulled to the Ministry. He could... he would have to lie. Morgan hated the idea of lying, but wasn't this whole thing just one big lie?

He sighed.

"Harmony?" he called out, not seeing anyone in the main room. He would have to face things sooner or later. He figured he might as well find out where she was in the house. He wanted to look around and get used to the layout, but he didn't want to be caught exploring the place he was supposed to live.

Harm had been tucking the girls into bed - despite all the rooms in their house, Angel wanted her 'little sister' to sleep with her. So they added another bed to the room, and filled it with toys for Kitty too - when she heard Dante's voice calling her from downstairs. Slightly irritated, because he'd just disappeared, once again, despite them having that talk, Harm had just straightened the cover on Kat's bed.

But the girls had heard him too, and before Harm could even say that they should stay in bed and she'd send him up to kiss them goodnight they were out of the beds and running down the stairs as fast as they could, exclamations of 'Daddy' accompanying pattering feet.

Harm sighed, and then followed at a much slower pace. Getting down the stairs just weren't easy anymore.

And as much as the scene was cute when she got downstairs - a girl hanging off either leg - her voice was still icy as she asked, "And where were you off to this time?"

It was hard not to smile at little kids. Actually, it was impossible. Morgan grinned when the two children - Angel and Kitty, of course - ran over to him, hugging his legs. He easily crouched down and hugged them. He couldn't, after all, be all aloof with small children. They would be able to tell better than anyone if something was off or wrong. "Hi girls," he greeted them happily - because really, when talking to little kids, who couldn't be happy? "Am I mistaken, or is it past somebody's bedtime?" he asked them. He couldn't help but let the thought that 'this is the sort of thing Ro will be doing one day' pass through his mind.

Damn. It had only been a few hours and he already missed them terribly. Mostly because he didn't know when he was going to get to see them again. And it wasn't fair. He deserved to be with them every day. It was why they were married, why they had a baby together.

Of course, his thought process was distracted by a cold tone asking him where he'd been. Harmony, he could only guess. He looked up from where he was kneeling down with the kids, slightly irritated at the fact that Dante hadn't mentioned they were clearly fighting and that was what he could expect to go home to. Not that... their problems were really his business. Sort of. Except that he was in Dante's body and couldn't tell Harmony....

So did that make it his business? Perhaps temporarily. Ugh. It was so weird feeling like a complete intruder on someone's home and life.

"I was at the Ministry," he explained. "I got a letter... saying because I was a citizen I had to partake in some focus group for how the Ministry is viewed by the Wizarding public." He really hoped this made sense. He rolled his eyes at his own words, signifying his annoyance with it. "Basically it was long, boring, took hours, and I wasn't allowed to leave. How... were things here?" Was that an ok question to ask?

It was bad that Harm actually realized that she was working against relaxing when she saw Dante's interactions with their daughters, and saw the girls smiling and laughing, happy. Why was she subconsciously working so hard to be in a bad mood? That was the most pointless thing in the world. Still, he had just disappeared, and she deserved an explanation about that, right?

The last time she had just ignored it things didn't end so well for them.

Maybe she was a little more hurt by that than she let on.

When Dante did explain to her what happened, Harm's eyebrows furrowed. Since when did Dante care about anything the Ministry said? She didn't think she'd ever heard him feel loyalty to them. But either way, at least there was a legit reason, and he did seem rather irked by the whole thing.

So she just sighed, and went onto answering his question, her manner significantly softened.

"Fine. Angel finally convinced Kat to ride with her on the broom. I think we're going to have to get her one now, she kind of loved it. Ang let her use the broom on her own for a while before stealing it back, and there were a fear tears..." Nothing she wasn't used to. That was kind of the thread for all the toys. Angel loved having a sister to play with - and would tolerate sharing her toes for a little while, before deciding to play the only-child-bratty 'that's mine!'.

"But yes, I was tucking them in bed when they heard you."

Morgan listened to Harmony give the details of the night, feeling rather like he was intruding. And... he was. This was exactly what this was. He was intruding on someone else's life. And there was no way he could even say he was or avoid it.

Still, the stories about the kids were cute, and he figured that this was not bad, considering how awkward this situation could be (well, already was, but this was probably the least awkward it was going to get). So he just replied, "Well, hey. Maybe they'll grow up to be Quidditch players. So yeah, we could get her her own broom. Although, learning to share would be nice."

He looked down at Angel, nudging her gently. "Angel, shouldn't we learn how to share?" He really wasn't sure how he'd be with toddlers. He could get the hang of babies all right, now that Rowan was born. But toddlers? This was entirely unexplored territory.

He looked back up at Harmony. "Sorry," he said sheepishly. "Didn't mean to wake them up." And, back to the kids, "How about we go back up to bed?"

Harm was....a little confused. She knew that she and Dante had just talked about him not disappearing and helping out with the kids and being more...social, but he had grasped the concept really easily. She hadn't heard him talk this much around her in months and...it kind of made her smile.

"Maybe. Though professional Quiddich players don't have two to a broom. I have to admit, that would be amusing, but I don't think it works that way." Harm leaned on the wall, her arms crossed over her stomach as she just watched them. She had to bite her lip to not laugh as Angel sighed and, with a rather sweet tone, answered a simple 'yes Daddy'. That was the funny thing. The little girl had perfected the 'I'll say yes and let you think I'm being good and do what I want anyway' attitude.

"Kitty will have to fly with you for a little bit longer Ang, because she's not a big girl like you yet." Not that Dante hadn't gotten Ang her broom when she was three, but Angel had always grown up faster.

When Dante apologized for waking them up, Harm was a bit surprised, but she just shrugged. "Going back to bed sounds like a good plan. Girls? Back upstairs, you saw Daddy, time to go back to bed."

Morgan was glad that whatever Harmony was mad about when he first came in she seemed to be calming down from. Perhaps she had just been angry at Dante for disappearing on her, and now that he was back, she was relieved. Yeah, that made sense. Of course, he knew well the frustration when the person you loved just kept getting ripped away from you and you had no control over it whatsoever. He just wished he could give Harmony and Krysi the right people back.

Still, there was nothing he could really do about that for the moment. So he had to just focus on assuming Dante Morvanna's life.

"Hm, two to a broom would be kind of silly," he said, looking down at Angel and Kitty. "But your Mum is right: when Kitty's a big girl, she'll get her own broom." Angel was ridiculously adorable when she agreed with him in a tone that Morgan might have thought suggested less innocence than she was trying to imply. Perhaps it did.

He stood up when Harmony ordered the kids back to bed. "Ok, you heard your mother. Bed time..."

Harm knew Dante was always better with the kids just because he honestly was like an over-sized kid himself. Still, him being the grownup instead of the friend was an interesting thing to watch. She liked it, yes, but it was just a huge change. Still, they were listening. Angel nodded more seriously this time, and took Kat's hand to help her back up the stairs.

"Tucking in round two."
Harm said, "Though they'll probably settle better now that you're here."

Just a thought.

Morgan nodded and started following them up the stairs. "Well,I hope they will at any rate," he said. "It is pretty late."

He was glad the others were leading the way, or he would have absolutely no idea where to go. He was trying to remember the layout of the house as he went, to make sure he could find how to get to different rooms without looking like an idiot and making Harmony suspicious by not being familiar with "his own" home.

It just felt so awkward being there. "And how has your day been?" he asked Harmony as they walked, the kids in front of them. He didn't really know how to act exactly like Dante, but he figured he'd have the sorts of conversations that Morgan had with Krysi: just general chatting about their day and whatnot.

It was weird. Normally, Dante was saying that it wasn't that late, that the girls could stay up a little bit longer for some ice cream, or a book, or the end of a movie. He never, ever said 'oh, it's late, let's put them to bed.' It was...different. Weird.

She kind of wanted to know what questions they were asking Dante to make him just do a total 180 on her. Yet, at the same time, he didn't really seem to want to talk about it, and she didn't want to pry.

So instead, she followed the girls back into their room, sighing as she helped Kitty get up on her bed. Bending just plain wasn't fun anymore.

"Long. Tiring. We've been blessed and cursed with two hyperactive girls. They always want to do something, and with these..."
She pressed her hand against her side as she was served a particularly vicious kick, "it's a little difficult. They've been moving a lot and there's just no more room."

Or, it felt like they didn't have any more room.

Morgan would have gone to help Harmony as she put Kitty into bed, but before he could, the little girl was already back and tucked in under the covers.

"I'm sorry," he said as he watched her rub her hands over her stomach. He remembered how Krysi had been carrying Rowan near the final days, and it had been difficult for her to do a lot of things. He couldn't imagine Harmony having to run around after two little ones and be nearly full term with twins.

Normally, with Krysi, he would have gone over and put his arms around her. He refrained, though, from doing that as Dante. At least for the moment. "Hey, it'll be ok," he said. "Before you know it we'll be meeting our twins, and I'll be home to help you tomorrow too... and... well... every day." Well, the man didn't work, right? "So why don't you let me take care of the hyperactive kids tomorrow while you sleep in?"

He figured that would give him a chance to explore the house and just get used to things away from someone who would notice the difference between him and Dante immediately.

Harm shrugged, smiling slightly. "It's all worth it."

She kissed both of their girls goodnight. "Good night. Sleep tight..."

Don't let the bed bugs bite!

The chorus made her actual smile, and she walked out of the room, just expecting Dante to follow her. "Every day?"

Serious 180. She was starting to become a little suspicious. Why was he trying to be perfect? Did he think this was what she wanted? She wanted him to be himself...and still be there. Was that...not possible, and so she had one or the other? If that was true? He would probably snap after a bit. But if he felt like he had to be like this, then, what had been done? Did he cheat on her again?

It was probably just her overly paranoid mind.

"If that's what you want. I'm sure they'd enjoy that."

Saying goodnight to the girls once more before they went to sleep, Morgan followed Harmony out of the room. There was a slight pause before she spoke again. Enough to make Morgan think that he really was probably doing something wrong. How would Dante normally act?

Of course, in his mind, acting like this made perfect sense. But... Damn. He and Dante had been over facts. Not mannerisms or how to act or... This was going to be tougher than he thought. Next time he saw Dante, he was going to have to go over with him how to... be Dante.

He merely shrugged at her question. "Well.. yeah. If you want me to." So he wasn't already around all day? What the hell did he do if he didn't work and didn't spend time with his wife?

The adjustment between just having Angel around to having two others was a whole lot different than he expected. Obviously he didn't think it would be simple, but was he happy? Yes. He had been doing what he could to stay committed to the promise he had made to Harm not too long ago, and as such he hadn't really had any random outings. If he did he at least let Harm know instead of how he did things before. It had been the switched things that put things into a better perspective even and proved just how much he knew he'd lose if he didn't try and change some things. As hard as that seemed the changes weren't in fact that difficult to make. As if staying at the house was difficult.

"Not the first six songs then? I'm running out of them here," Dante said, speaking to Devon who had in his arms as he walked around the living room. "It was probably my voice and not the songs right? I never said I was good at it."

It wasn't that Devon was being fussy or anything, it was that Dante was attempting to help him to fall asleep which wasn't exactly going according to plan. He assumed Devon found Dante's tactics rather amusing. He certainly did anyways. The last song had been some country tune he had heard the on the telly that day.

Going back to the couch he sat down, assuming that Harm would end up downstairs in a minute or two as well. Last he checked Angel was still up too with the excuse that if the boys were up then she should be able to. He wasn't exactly one to argue against that sort of thing so he hadn't said much on it.

Harm had put Dustin down first, and then had gone to tuck in Angel and Kitty. Per usual, Kitty was in bed, ready to be kissed goodnight, but overall cooperating. Kitty was always good, though Harm was so gratified at the fact that she had started talking to her a little more. Just the fact that she was comfortable enough with Harm to talk to her made Harm feel really amazing.

By the time she'd finally finished putting Angel to bed - man that girl could be so stubborn sometimes - Dustin was up again, fussing. So Harm just picked him back up and headed downstairs where she could hear Dante with Devon.

"I think we're outnumbered." Harm commented when she finally made herself down the stairs, leaning down to kiss his cheek before she joined him on the couch. "Bed-time gold-medalists. An Olympic event."

"If it's not one than it's the other," Dante agreed, smiling as he glanced at Harm. "I don't think he liked any of the songs."

Or he was being incredibly stubborn which was a good possibility actually. He looked at Dustin and moved one hand free a moment to gently brush his finger along Dustin's cheek.

"Hey buddy."

Having thought about it earlier he readjusted Devon a bit before he said anything. As difficult as the whole talk more thing had seemed before, it was easy much to his surprise. Maybe if he'd given it a chance sooner he could have saved himself the trouble.

"You know, I was thinking about it and it's crazy isn't it? I mean I know I wouldn't have thought before that this is where I'd be today." Adding with a grin though, "I have to say it's better than what I imagined."

"You know, I think they just refuse to do something without the other. Like Devon earlier, he wouldn't feed without Dustin there as well. Not feeding, necessarily, but there. It took me so long to figure out... I thought he was sick or something, and then Dustin cried so I had to go in there...and then no problem. So maybe it's just a twin thing?"

Seeing how Dante was with the boys only made her smile, loving how easily he adapted to having babies once again. Angel had been a baby just for a really short while, so neither of them really had much experience.

"it is super crazy. Four kids? Married to a human? Who knew?" She laughed.

"Probably. Just another one of the little things we have to learn."

Leaning was half the fun though. At least he thought so. Which Harm was no doubt right because when he looked back at Devon he was asleep, or at least getting there. Things were crazy, or super crazy as Harm put it. It wouldn't be the same though without all the chaos or busy schedule.

"I figured I'd still be trying to get out from under my family and all that. I was definitely wrong," he said. "This tops that."

He laughed and even recalled how now his name wasn't a thing to worry about. He had honestly blamed all the wrong people.
