Llian and Alora headed to a small market where Llian immediately began looking for the baby food and formula. Upon arriving in the aisle, though, he was stunned to see so many different kinds! And it didn't help that his Italian wasn't as good as it used to be. "Um...now what? There are like hundreds of these!" he said. |

Alora took one look at his expression and started laughing. Reaching over to the shelf she grabbed a can of plain formula powder with her free hand. "Well it's not that difficult," she said, putting it in the basket on his arm, and then smoothing the scarf wrapped around Arram. "Look," she said, pointing to the rows of babyfood in glass jars, the processed kind for children too young for textured foods and chewing. "Pick out some flavors you think look good - seriously, they have everything. And if you don't recognize the words look at the little pictures." She grinned - this was fun. And she had full faith in Llian figuring out how to be a parent before the three weeks were up - she actually expected him to get rather attached to the infant - because that so often happened. |

"Er...ok...." Llian said, glancing at the jars. Hesitantly, he picked one up. Then he read the label. "Ew! Peas and carrots? What sort of child would want to eat that? Sounds bloody awful," he remarked. He finally decided on one that was a sweet potato puree and an applesauce....and a few others, just throwing many different kinds in the basket. "Well, I guess I'll just have to see what he likes." |

Alora grinned at him as he picked out several, then picked up the peas and carrots and put them in the basket as well. "I'm sure a baby doesn't have the same taste in vegetables as you do - peas and carrots will be good for him." She laughed a little, yet again - Llian was so easy to be around when they weren't talking about Meredith. "I guess we will see what he likes," she said, carrying Arram farther down the aisle where she picked up a bottle. "Eppes, get over here," she said, playfully - "Of course we need something to put the forumla in." |

Llian gave an overdramatic shudder as she put the peas and carrots mix into the basket. "Ok, fine...we'll get it for him. We don't even know if he eats this stuff yet or not, though," he pointed out, following her down the aisle. "Ok...so how many of those will I need?" he asked, very glad she had come with him. He didn't know what he would have done without her. |

"If he does, you are going to be prepared," she said, firmly, then waited for him to reach her. Looking at the bottles, she continued. "Well more than one," she said. "I was raised that the traditional glass bottles are better than plastic but that was because heating is easier for muggles - but if you're going to be traveling around and working, I guess plastic works better because it's less breakable." She handed him the baby carrier and took the cart. Then she proceeded to place several plastic baby bottles into said basket, and finally announced, "Our work here is done, let's check out and head to Delicato? That's the baby store I was telling you about." |

"Ok, sounds good to me," he said. Heading up to the cash register, he got all the stuff rang up and paid for it. The cashier was giving them a look like "oh what a lovely young couple" but he ignored her, not bothering to correct her mistake. Once they were outside, he asked, "So which way to the store?" He was actually finding that he was excited to do more of shopping, but why that was, he didn't know. He hated shopping. |

Alora gave the cashier a polite smile and did her best to ignore the looks she was giving them. Of course it was a relief to get outside. "Left," she said, shifting the shopping bag onto one arm and leading Llian and Arram down the street towards the store. "There are a bunch of things you're going to need from here...even if it's just for three weeks." She was already finding it impossibly hard to imagine Llian without the little boy nearby him. This shopping was amazing fun and Arram was absolutely adorable - so she wasn't sure what she would do when they found his parents. Or what Llian would do. |
