Calvin caught up with her after a moment, and stopped, also out of breath - but he only laughed, because as he reached her, Keeley attempted something along the lines of a handstand or cartwheel - he really couldn't tell which it was. He tried to calm down enough to worry if she was okay or not but he shouldn't have worried - she was up and running again before he would have had time to freak out. So he followed her, and, in the utter display of letting himself have fun, tumbled down on the grass next to her and just lay there, laughing and trying to catch his breath. Finally, he turned to her, smiling, and said, "Remind me to do this more often. Even if I am a rotten moose." |

Keeley smiled wider with Cal started laughing with her, and then when he actually lay in the grass next to her, instead of telling her they should go inside now, and being really worrysome and such. "You're not a rotten moooose silly! I was just joking around. Rotten mooses are..." She shrugged, still not getting the whole 'moose concept'. At the remind me to do this more often, though, she laughed. "Oh I will!" She raised her feet into the air and attempted to touch the lowering sun with her toes. |

Calvin sighed. This was something he realized he should do more often, just let himself relax and enjoy life - he liked the idea, but at the same time found it foreboding - but didn't let himself get too worried. "Wanna go in?" he suggested, thinking that Kat might be looking for them by this time. |

Keeley looked at Cal seriously. "You know... you shouldn't worry so much. You're amazing!" She smiled and then jumped up. "Cal Cal! Can you read me a story!?" Yes, she was cold, and yes, she was tired, even if she would admit it. One look at her, though, would tell. She reached down and grabbed Cal's hands to help him up and continued jumping up and down. "About princesses and dragons and knights and..and...MOOSES!" She laughed. |

"The correct term is 'meese'," he said quietly, but decided it wasn't worth correcting her. "Umm...I guess I could read you a story - you sure that wouldn't be too boring for you?" He really wasn't sure what story he could read her, but he figured it'd better be good, whatever it was - something to keep her occupied, because he was nervous that she would get bored, and wander off to do something dangerous. And as much as he had his newfound philosophy, "Live and Let Keeley Do what she Wants To," he still didn't want her doing something that could result in her getting hurt. |

"Meeses mooses geeses gooses!" Keeley sang, before shaking her head. "But if mooses are horses and mooses are meeses does that mean horses are meeses?" She laughed at the tongue twister and stopped jumping around. "If its scary and adventurous and has a princess in it then no! Don'tcha wanna read a story Cal?" She bounces a few steps towards the house, and then bounced back to Cal, waiting for him. She knew he liked to read, and even though she didn't want to admit it, she was fighting yawns. And she wanted to curl up on the couch and listen to a story. Her mummy used to tuck her into bed with one after a long day. And soccer... ...Keeley gasped. "Cal where is my soccer ball!" She immediately looked around them, like it would just magically be waiting there for her. |

Calvin watched her for a moment with raised eyebrows. "I think we need to take a deep breath and calm down," he said, firmly. He smiled at her. "Of course I'd like to read a story," he added, not wanting to come off as strict and no fun. "Horses are not meese," he said, as he walked towards the house. "And your soccer ball - did you bring it to Scotland with you? If you did, I'm sure it's inside." He honestly couldn't remember what she had done with it, but he didn't know how she would react if it was missing or anything. "Come on, let's go pick out a story." |

Keeley pouted. If she calmed down, she would fall asleep. "I don't wanna! But I do wanna read a story. Cuz you said you like reading. And I like stories. But my soccerball..." She didn't remember bringing it to Scotland. "I think I left it with...Gigi... or the place with all the potions?" Her forehead creased in a frown and she couldn't believe she had forgotten about it. "Okay. So horses are just mooses." She darted around him and waited at the door. Usually she would just let herself in, but she didn't wanna leave Cal behind. |

"Well we'll find it," he said. "Don't worry about it, I promise we'll find it somewhere." He opened the door and led them both inside. "Okay...umm...want to go to my room, or else do you want to sit in the living room?" He had no idea what Keeley held ideal for "story time", and so he was just going to try to find a book and let her decide what she wanted to do. "What do I do if I can't find a good book that has adventures and princes and princesses in it?" |

"Okay..." Keeley said, quieting down as they entered the house-- just a little. "Well..." she had to think for a moment. "Where are your books?" The living room was big, and the mattress...wasn't there anymore. So that meant someone had put it back, hopefully. "Lets go to your room!" She had yet to actually see it for more than five minutes. "And...then...you can tell me a story? Or pick a book. I don't care." She swung their hands cheerfully as they walked. [[brb supper XD]] |

Calvin nodded. "The bookshelf is in my room," he said, headed towards the stairs. His parents were most likely looking for him, wondering where they were - and he was surprised Kat hadn't been waiting for him to walk back through the door. He went upstairs, waiting for her to follow, and crossed to the giant bookshelf that covered part of one wall, going from floor to ceiling. |

"Whoa." Keeley was shocked into silence at the bookshelf...and then squealed and launched herself onto his bed, the result bouncing her up and down a few times. "Nice to see you again Matt-Ress!" She laughed. Hugging one of Cal's pillows to her stomach, she waited patiently. For once. "So what do you wanna read Cal?" she asked, sitting crosslegged and still. She blinked to keep her eyes wide open. |

Calvin shrugged. "I don't know what you'd like to hear," he said. "I mean, I have books, but they're all really, really long, and I don't know if I have any stories about princesses..." He smiled at her reaction to jumping on the bed, and then crossed to the bookshelf, attempting to find something that could act as a compromise between his literary interests and hers. |

Keeley shrugged. "I don't care...whatever you wanna read me." She smiled brightly, and scooted back to sit against the bedposts, making sure to leave enough room for Cal to sit next to her. "Uhm...something with...uhm...ad-...adven..." She couldn't remember the word so she just stopped. "Do you have one with...knights? Kings? Great wizards? Advent..." She huffed because she just couldn't remember the word, and opted for another one. "Exciting!" |

Calvin shrugged. "Knights it is," he said, and pulled his volume of stories about King Arthur off the shelf. "You ever heard of the Canterbury Tales?" he asked her, not sure if she would have. He sat down next to her, and after getting comfortable, began to read the story to her about how King Arthur first became the king - in essence, the original Sword in the Stone. |

Keeley shrugged, she had no clue. When he started reading, she leaned against his side to look down at the pages-- expecting pictures. Even a few now and again. And as she listened, she realized it was wrong...she had heard this storyline before...but in a different view. "Wait, wait!" She put her hand on the pages. "This is wrong. Silly Arthur didn't get the sword, the Lady of the Lake granted it to him. How else was he able to pull it out of stone? And why do men always have the be the king? Gwen was stupid. She liked some fancy knight. But we all know it was Morgan who helped along Camelot!" She laughed. "Lets make our own story Cal...this was is what my mommy calls contro-vension. Or something." She smiled sweetly at him, her hand still covering the words. |

Calvin tried to move her hand but realized it was useless. "Alright then, I guess you have heard of these before?" he said, hesitantly - but if she didn't want to read them then they wouldn't. "Make up a story," he said, unsure. "I've never...written a story before, Keels. I'm not sure if I would be good at it." He had nothing against writing a story, but he just wasn't sure if he could live up to Keeley's adventurous standards. |

"Yes you are! Cal! Don't say stuff like that. Trying new things is fun! Repeat after me." She sat up and kneeled facing him, but still to his side. "I am great! And I can write stories!" She waited for him to repeat after her, and then smiled and settled back down at his side. "I can start. Okay...uhm...Once upon a time, there was an awesome knight named Cal. And he had a big..." she waited a moment for dramatic reasons, and shouted gleefully, "Moose!" She laughed and then poked Cal. "Okay, so go from there?" |

Calvin glared at her, but did as she requested, and said, dully, "I am great and I can write stories." He looked at her and sighed. "Happy?" But the idea of a story...well it did seem enticing. So he merely continued where she had left off. "Cal and his...moose...went out one day and learned that the beautiful Princess Keeley had been kidnapped by...evil brain-eating amoebas." There, that had to be something she would approve of. And it hadn't been that hard to think of - he smiled at her, to make up for his being snappish before. |

Keeley didn't look away when he glared at her, though she felt bad about it. She hadn't meant to make him mad, she just really thought he was amazing. He was just so...she was starting to really depend on him. Somehow. When she did these crazy things...she'd never do them alone. She used to, but she never got into the same situations she did when he was around. And she never had as much fun. When he asked her if she was happy, because he wasn't, she shook her head. When he continued the story, she smiled back, because he was attempting to continue the story. When he called her a princess, she smiled geniuneally. And then he mentioned the amoebas and she screamed and covered her ears, but her next part of the story came out of her mouth in rapid succession. "And Princess Keeley was brought deep into the fresh-water lake where even the mermaids and fishies stayed away from. In their castle, she was put into the smallest tower, and the mermaids went fast fast" she made swimming motions with her hands, once again kneeling, getting into the story. "To Cal, because he would know how to save her! And his moose went..." Keeley had to think for a minute to remember what the 'horsie' was sounding like. "WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" she giggled after her outburst. |
