She felt him shiver - but she wasn't sure what it meant. "Hey," she said, quietly. "You okay? She pulled her wand out, someone distractedly, and turned the grass around them into a blanket, which she pulled up over the both of them, before she tapped her finger against his lips, tracing the outline. "We can go inside, if you want," she added, concerned. Probably without reason, but still.

"I'm okay," he said wrapping his arms around her and leaning in to kis her again. He looked over and saw that the sun was almost gone then focused back to Kat.

She smiled, meeting his eyes and then kissing him again, pulling herself even closer to him, if that was at all possible. "Raggy?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. "Thank you...for everything. You've been so amazing...so patient...you've been there for me..."

She felt like this was the perfect moment to say what she was feeling, because they were both there, in her favorite place on earth, and it just felt...right.

"I'll always be there for you," he said"I lo-" he cut off. His whole body went all stiff and his eyes went wide as he felt his very soul being pushed out of it placed. After a while his eyes turned yellow and he pushed Kat off him. He got up and his hair began to turn black. His build changed a little so it was slimmer. He looked down at Kat and ran at an extreme speed. Within seconds...the new Ragnar was gone...little did Kat know. That wasn't Ragnar who jusr ran off...

Kat leaned her head against his chest, smiling to hear his words. She believed him - and then all of a sudden he shoved her off. He seemed to..change, but she couldn't really tell in the moonlight. She just knew, that at random and with no explanation, he'd just...left her.

She sat there a moment, stunned. Ragnar - she'd never thought he would do that. She stayed there, alone, for a bit, sitting up and wrapping the blanket around her shoulders. She noticed how cold it was, suddenly having lost the warmth of being tucked in Ragnar's arms.

She stood, and began walking down the path back to her house. She had to talk to Lexie.

Lexie was curled up on the sofa, dozing, a book still open in her lap. She had fallen asleep earlier while reading, but she sat up hearing Kat. She rubbed her eyes sleepily and looked up.

"Hey... what's up?" She asked, confused as to why Kat was up so late.

Kat shook her head. "Ragnar," she said. "We were...outside. Just...together, and then all of a sudden he pushed me off him and...ran away. Gone..."

It was about all she could string together, her face panicked and her mind racing. Why would he leave her? What had she done, why had he left? She coudln't explain any of it - "It doesn't...make sense."

"Wha... what?" Lexie questioned, shocked. She immediately got up and went to her sister, hugging her tightly before leading her to chair. She looked so hurt!

""He just left? Just like that?" She shook her head. That made no sense, after all Kat had told her about him?

"There has to be a reason Kat, he wouldn't just leave you!"

"I don't know," she said. "He seemed...different, all of a sudden, and he just...cut himself off midphrase and he was gone." It didn't seem real - Raggy wouldn't leave her, she kept repeating that to herself. He wouldn't!

She sat, where Lexie led her to sit down, and just kept shaking her head. Actually, her entire body was shaking, as she said, "He didn't say good-bye."

That definately sounded strange.

"Kat, he had to have a reason. I don't think he would just up and leave you like that! There must be a good reason behind it!" She tried to say it convincingly, but she wasn't sure she achieved it. She just didn't know him enough to know if there was some possible explanation for his disappearance.

"Oh Kat, I'm so sorry." She really had no idea what to say. "What can we do?"

Kat shrugged. "We can go to London and look for him there," she said, slowly. "That might be a good place to start - I can apparate with you, and we'll just start looking..."

She frowned - "No, I can't bring you, Mum and Dad are already so angry at me...uhm....will you cover for me?"

"No, you have to take me! Please! I can help! They won't notice I'm gone, they never notice me!" Suddenly, Lexie was pleading. There was no way she was going to get left behind this time. Someone had to watch Kat, she was a mess, and she just had to get out of this house. There was no way she was going to let this chance to escape for a days go by.

Kat wasn't really thinking straight and so she didn't consider the consequences. She just nodded, took Lexie's hand, and disapparated home, without leaving a note or anything.

Keeley stood at the top of the stairs, wondering where Cal went. They had already had many explorations around the house, although Keeley had never really met the parents of this household, Kat's, because they always seemed to appear, one or the other, when Keeley had-- in her mind-- a brilliant plan. Anyways, she had just woken up, her hair wild, not ratty, but some in her face, a few knots here and there.

"Cal?" she called quietly, or, as quietly as she could manage. She absentmindedly brushed her hair out of her face, but it fell back down again. She was being quiet only because she knew there were many other people in the house.

"Caaaa---aaallll?" She called a little louder, climbing up onto the railing to slide down it.

Calvin finished brushing his teeth, and placed his toothbrush back on the ledge, making sure it was balanced and not about to fall off. He neatly placed the toothpaste back behind the faucet, and dumped the water out of his cup. Calmness. That was something he hadn't had much of since they'd brought Keeley to Scotland.

They had - no, Keeley had - successfully raided the refrigerator for everything that had sugar in it, broken the stereo trying to figure out how it worked, most likely destroyed his mattress from jumping on it...yeah, never a dull moment with her around.

"Yeah Keels?" he asked, as he emerged from the bathroom, pushing up one sleeve. And then he saw her perched on the railing, about to slide down. "Uh...Keeley? I really wouldn't do that if I were you - it's pretty old."

He knew she wasn't going to listen to his warning.

Keeley turned around and smiled at Cal, but in the process lost her grip and started sliding down, very quickly, the banister...backwards. She shrieked and grabbed at the railing, consequencily hanging off the side with a fair drop underneath her. It was dead quiet except for startled breathing...

...and then she started laughing hysterically. Peals of laughter rang through the air as she held onto the railing in order not to fall. The rail creaked, but she was tiny enough it didn't break and fall over.

"Good.." she talked between fits of laughter. "Morning Cal..."

She wasn't even thinking about the fact that if she would fall right then, she would probably at least break a wrist, or a leg. She grinned at him, her hair in her face again. She let go with one hand to push it away...

...and slipped a little bit. She instantly grabbed the railing again, and the adrenaline pumped through her. She wasn't scared at all.

He thought he was going to have a nervous breakdown as he saw her start to slide backwards, and it was pretty terrifying. Because he had always been scared to do that, and then the minute Keeley tried, something went wrong.

And then she fell. Off of the railing. And she was just dangling there - and laughing?! "Keels! What happened? Are you alright?" He wasn't sure what else he could say - the entire experience was rather nerve shattering, and he was trying to think of a way to get her back up.

"I told you you shouldn't do that, Keeley!" he said, trying to keep himself from getting upset. This was slightly too much excitement. "Now, how are you going to get down without killing yourself?"

Keeley started laughing all over again.

"I tried to hold onto the railing with my hands instead of my feet...remind me not to do that again?" she giggled and started swinging.

"I'm okayyyy. Just...stuck. Uhm...I don't know how to get back up? Or...down..." She looked down and swallowed, just now realizing how high she was.

"Sorry..." she whispered, now being completely still. She moved her slightly terrified gaze back up to Cal.

"I don't know!" She decided to try and swing herself to where she had a foot hold, and began to propell her body back and forth, lifting her legs to try and reach. This didn't do much for stability.

Okay Calvin...think! It was obvious that now? Keeley was scared. And that wasn't good because it meant Calvin had to be the strong, sensible, composed one. Of the two of them...he was the one who was better at that, sometimes. He thought about when Gigi had disappeared.

"It's okay, Keels, it's okay." He needed her to keep calm, and not freak out, and not get upset. "Um...I'll be right back," he said, rushing back into his room, where he proceeded to uncover his mattress and begin to drag it off the bed. "Just...hang on!" he called out to her, as he got it out into the hall.

It was a rather daunting task and - by the time he had it out in the hall he was already exausted, but it was really the only way he could think of to get her down without her getting hurt, because he didn't want her with a broken bone when he was pretty sure they were the only ones home.

He let it slide down the stairs, trying to keep it from hitting the railings where Keeley was dangling, and then he pushed it around so it was underneath her. It fit in the foyer, thank goodness.

"Think you can let go?" he asked, slowly, remembering that Kat had charmed the mattress for them so that it would be extra-bouncy, to keep Keeley from destroying it. "Or else I can try something else."

The second time Keeley managed to touch her foot to the railing but it knocked her so off balance that she didn't try it again and held on tightly, watching with gratitude as Cal attempted to help her. She realized she has holding her breath several times, and let it out. Watching Cal bring down the mattress she pieced together what he was planning, and realized it was a good idea. But what he was asking...

"Let...go?" she squeaked, looking down again. Sure, the mattress was there, and yes, she knew the mattress would hold her weight because she had jumped on it before but...still...

She took a deep breath. "Cal, if I die I want you to eat some sugar." she demanded, a little breathlessly from fear. Not wanting to sike herself out, she closed her eyes tightly and just let go with her hands. A slightly strangled scream erupted quietly from her throat as she felt the air, and hit the mattress on her back. Luckily, it only gave underneath her a little bit- but enough to bounce her right back off...

...and into Cal.

"Oomph!" she said, laying still for a moment, regaining her breath. She was utterly still, utterly quiet. Until her loud exclamation...

"Omimerlin ground!" However, it was a lot comfier than your typical ground. Much, much more, but Keeley did not relax her eyelids from their tightly closed position so see where she had landed. Was it a couch? A curled up rug? She didn't know.
