She stopped walking to wrap her arms around him again and kiss him softly. They were at the driveway. "I'd rather you were beside me, holding my hand," she said, slowly. "Think you can survive my dad's - or my mum's - wrath?" |

Ragnar smiled"I've survived worse," he said opening the door for Kat holding her hand the whole time he led her inside and stood inside the doorway with her. |

She smiled back at him and walked through the door, and was met with an interesting sight. Her mother was sitting on a chair, her face hidden. Her father was nowhere to be seen – perhaps upstairs trying to get into Kat's room. Mrs. Carr looked up when they walked in the door, her eyes red - “I told you to stay out.” Kat had just about lost her patience with her parents, and she snapped - “Mother, if you would open your eyes you would see that we are only in the doorway. And I'm not going anywhere he doesn't go so get used to me not being home for my visit.” Her mother was visibly affronted. Her anger seemed to grow, until finally, she directed it at Ragnar - “Why was she even in a situation where she could be raped in the first place?” She was looking for someone – anyone – to blame. “Why didn't you stop that from happening at all?” |

"Leaving the Death Eaters isn't as easy as just saying it. I wasn't at home for a few days so Kat went looking for my at their HQ where she got captured. Luckily I found her and stopped it all from happening," he finished. He was getting enough of this attitude from Kats parents. He wasn't weak and probably knew about three times as much as them through all he lived through. |

“Alright,” she sighed, “thank you. Thank you for saving my daughter's life, and for keeping her safe. Doesn't mean I want you to see her. Ever again. So, when you all return, I believe I'll be sending her sisters along to keep an eye on things – they can stay with Kat and make sure you stay away.” A horrific thought seemed to strike her suddenly. “You're not...living together, are you? Kat – you never told me where you were staying, please tell me it's not with him.” Kat stared at her sullenly, tightening her grip on Ragnar's hand, and only nodded. |

Ragnars was tired of being treated like a kid"yes she's living with me and no I wouldn't do anything to her without her approval. You're treating me like a child Mrs. Carr but don't let this slip by. I'm alot older than you are and I have seen more than you'll ever see. I have though never seen anybody like Kat. She's smart beautiful, caring, has a nice sense of humor and a good family. Yes you are a good family but here's one thing. You're treating me as if I'm the enemy after all I've done for her purely out of love. I love her...more than you'll ever understand. She changed my life completly. Just because of those things...nothing you'll ever say will keep me away from the one thing my heart desires most...and if you still think I'm so horrible maybe I forgot to mention I'm working as an Auror now in England." |

Kat had had enough of her mother's attitude. “Mom, I love him. I know you love Dad – please, give me a chance to do something I want to do instead of what you want me to do? You haven't seen what I've seen – or been where I've been.” She shivered and leaned in closer to Ragnar, leading him inside. “We're going up to my room,” she said, decidedly. “I'm telling you this because I'm tired and I want sleep and I don't want you waking me up early. We'll be down when we feel like it.” |

She ignored her spluttering mother and crossed toward the stairs, until they were at the door of her room. “I must warn you, this might seem very...little-girlish.” She opened the door, blushing slightly, and there was her room, neat as a pin, and painted blue. The walls, the ceiling – blue sky with clouds. Everything was on a sky theme. She crossed to the bed and sat down. “Now what?” |

Kat took a breath, feeling so much more confident being in her own room. She shook her head. “Nuh-uh. I didn't just defy my parents so you could sleep on the floor. You're in the bed, Raggy. Beside me. Where you belong.” She grinned, despite herself. |

Ragnar smiled and crawled in next to Kat"are your folks gonna hate me for eternity now or something?" he asked. |

"I think they'll get used to you when they realize I'm not leaving you.” She curled herself up against him, keeping herself warm. |

Ragnar nodded wrapping his arms around Kat"just make sure you don't leave. I love you," he said nuzzling her cheek with his nose. He then gave her a small kiss on the lips"goodnight," he said closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep. |

During the night Ragnar had a small dream. Ragnar stood in a old house alone. He looked at the floor and saw corpses. Each one he looked at a name was heard"Spark, Tallon, Kirin, Adam, Dea...Kat," at the mention of the last name he looked far ahead to see Kat getting strangled by someone. Ragnar ran as fast as he could but he wasn't getting any closer. After a while Kat ceased breathing and was dropped to the floor. Ragnar felt something in him shatter and for the first time in his life a tear was felt on his cheek. Followed by a few more he finally made his way closer to Kats body. Everything around her was white except ffor the figure standing over her. Ragnar eventually knelt at Kats side and hugged her lifeless body"this is your future O'donnell...you can't escape it," said the voice of the person. Ragnar looked up and he looked straight into the eyes of a replica of himself. The figure began to say his name but everything went white. Ragnar awoke panting heavi.y he sat up and removed his shirt cause he was warm before laying back down, looking at Kat beside him he fell asleep again. |

Kat opened her eyes the next day, to see Ragnar beside her, asleep. She smiled, curled up next to him. She stood, slowly, and changed into a different outfit, before kissing him on the cheek and stepping out into the hallway. Hopefully she could avoid her parents and Emily. |

"G'morning!" Alexa called out softly down the hall. She'd been up for a bit and had been planning on heading out. It looked like it might be a nice day, and with winter approaching, Alexa knew that the nice days were numbered. "Was your night... er better?" She couldn't exactly pretend she hadn't heard the arguments, but she didn't really want to bring them up. |

“Lexie!!!” Kat said, grinning. She hadn't expected to see her sister so soon – so of course the natural reaction was to launch herself down the hall at Alexa. “It's sooo good to see you...so much has happened...” Her smile faded slightly as she thought about the night before, but she was able to say, warmly - “The night was so much better I cannot even begin to elaborate.” |

Lexie smiled a giggled a bit, catching her sister in a big hug. "Glad to hear it! And I know, it really has been a while. What are you up to today?" |
