Good, so he hadn't completely lost his way with words. That made him a little relieved, and he brushed his hair back again, because it'd been flapping with the wind. He understood, mostly because while he didn't mind working and coming home, the exciting part being when he was with Dea or just not alone, people like Murphy needed more excitement.

Because, there was a slight monotony to doing what he did. And repeating patterns had potential to get boring after a while. With Murphy's question he kind of shrugged and kind of frowned, thinking.

"I don't know if it's much of an answer, to say I sometimes forget. I can't really say I would have chosen it, under any other circumstance. It's not like I woke up one day and decided it, but it's not like it's changed too much. Aside, from the bloodlust, sun, and undead thing. Oh, and not being able to be an Auror, but that, I realize, isn't too bad." He paused for a bit, "I like it, now. But I don't things would be different now if I were human, still. I'd still be married to Dea, I'd still be moving... I'm not sure."

"At least you're starting to be okay with it. I mean that's a really long time to not like who you are," Murphy said, speaking off of thoughts. "But besides the negative you're like living every kids dream. The whole never grow up idea?"

She liked that idea but she wasn't about to go to drastic measures to get it. Plus she couldn't work where she wanted to if she was. It was just a nice that besides the bad things of it there was some way.

There was a slight miscommunication, but Oliver didn't think it was all that big of a deal. He'd never had a big problem or moral obligation because of his vampirism. Sure, there was the whole issue with the sun and then packaged blood. The upside had trumped the downsides without a measurement, at the risk of sounding deranged.

At the latter sentence he laughed though.

"Right. I'm the common Peter Pan."

It gave a whole knew meaning to the famous phrase, Seventeen Forever. What he did was look at her curiously.

"Well I said some people would see it that way," Murphy corrected. "But if you don't like it then why didn't you take the potion before?"

She picked at the grass with her fingers. She was just curious so of course she had a bunch of questions. She wasn't sure if he minded them or not, but he could have said so.

"Because of Dea?"
she added.

"I wouldn't say it was because of Dea..." He trailed off, struggling to find a way to explain his thoughts. "It's kind of how everything is right now? Stand-still? I was just like this, unmoving while the rest of the world did, maybe. There was no reason not to be a vampire. I had no actual issues, nor do I now. Dea being a vampire was like, the upside."

Oliver sat up again, draping his arm over his knees, and the other propping him up. He knew that Murphy was curious, but he got defensive for her, he didn't want her to do something she'd later regret.

"I wouldn't normally bother, but I hope you're not curious for the wrong reasons."

"I get it," Murphy told him and would have nodded along with her words had she not been laying down.

It was curiosity more than anything because she hadn't asked before, but she hadn't been entirely sure it was something to be discussed. With a smile at Ollie's question she sat up though. It hadn't been her thought but she'd ask regardless.

"What would be the bad reasons be exactly?"

Oliver glanced down at Murphy to see if she was joking or whatnot, though he'd heard no inflection in her voice that could have said that. She looked thoroughly genuine in her response, and he sighed, looking back at the coarse waves, he didn't notice that she'd sat up until she spoke.

"Not bad reasons, or wrong ones. I suppose that was the wrong choice of word. What I mean was, it's probably smarter to live life the way you're already going, rather than...change it. I don't know. I'm not saying that being a vampire's a bad choice, just that a lot of vampires I know wouldn't be if they had a choice, or if they knew how they'd become..."

He grinned then, not even realizing that he was beyond relaxed - which was a tough thing for him. "Ignore that rant if it wasn't called for. You're just a good friend and I wanted to put that out there." He shrugged.

Murphy was actually surprised at the rant of a response, but it was nice to hear. If she could get him talking then hey, it worked out. She was just curious but she was pretty sure she wouldn't go that route. She didn't want to be stuck her age forever. Something about that just didn't seem that cool even though she never liked the idea of growing up. A little change never hurt a person.

"Why, Ollie, I think you've wised up a bit since I last saw you," Murphy teased.

Shaking some of the grass out of her hair she ventured to say something that was more Radu's business, but they had talked about it. He probably wouldn't mind consider his mother was making it impossibly hard to get out of the house for anything besides Quidditch practices.

"Rad's going to want you to be his best man at the wedding you know. I mean that's his thing to tell you but he's on like lock down because of his psycho mother."

It wasn't fair to say maybe, but his mom needed to lighten up. Either that or Murphy had gotten used to having no restrictions and overbearing adult to tell her what to do.

"Wised up? No." He made a face, "I was outspoken, now I just feel like shouting to the sky!" He finished by doing as he said, and was facing the sky. "Life's just like, you're always fighting for the stuff you can't have, right? Just, way too much, all the time, and sometimes it's like people don't realize that we're all just trying to get the same thing." He shook his head.

Sure, he realized that she was just playing around, but what he said was true. He wasn't all so silent anymore, he wasn't all too capable of it, and he knew that maybe if he wanted to go back to that, it'd be hard if at all possible. He was still himself, yeah, but he'd grown up.

When Murph spoke again he shut himself up to listen and then nodded his head. Then he realized the actual legit seriousness of it and paused. It actually reminded him of something that had been on his mind too. He just needed to get that past Dea before he started telling people and then... well. Yeah.

"I'd be honoured to." He nodded, and shook his head at the mention of Rad's mom. "I suppose a visiting Vampire wouldn't really help, would it?"

"Sounds like work. There should be some time you are allowed to have fun in there somewhere," Murphy said. "If people are serious all the time then they get stressed out and who wants that?"

One disadvantage of getting older she figured. Like wanting to be a Auror? That probably came with a hell of a lot of stress and less fun. That she could probably deal with though.

"You could try. I'm sure he wants to talk to you, and his sisters would let him out of the house more than his mum. Their good at distractions."

Either that or he had climbed out his bedroom window and then managed to climb down once. That was more interesting.

"I should get going, but it was nice to see you again. Stick around more often okay?"

Standing then she started back toward the headquarters so she could then apparate home.
