It seemed like Edward had basically given up to her being there, and that allowance was all that she wanted. And besides, the glances of the men were making her uncomfortable, though she wouldn't show any of it. Never.

So Juls unfolded herself off the bar, her gaze turning cold on the two men sitting on the couch as they talking about getting something back and causing someone to scream. She turned away from them and sauntered her way over to Edward, bending over and and giving him a lingering kiss. A show from the front and the back.

Her purse was laying on a side table and she scooped it up as she swayed out the door, leaving this time.

Edward didn`t kiss her back as she did. Appearantly all this to her was only a game. And to him it definately wasn`t. Even though he didn`t want her to leave, he felt reliefed that she did - Merlin knows what two Death Eaters could do. Especially filthy as these ones.

"Whoa, Edward, how much you paid to her?"[/b] the taller one asked, grinning as she left. Too bad. He hoped that she could treat him nicely later.

He only glared at him. "That`s none of your business." he mumbled out. "Back to what`s important?" he asked, as they all three sat and talked for a bit.

When the two men left Edward sat down on the couch and put his face in his hands. Women. Why it was so hard to deal with them? And why did she get so angry on him? With a sigh he only stared at the ceiling.

As Edward left the room he tried to look as relaxed as he possibly could. No anger that he was still feeling. No slight worry about the woman left in his bedroom. He was hoping that they were waiting in the front room, but obviously they let themselves in the living room. Ah... guests.

Seeing their backs he felt his anger raising up again. Yet, he calmed it down slightly. "You should have told me that you were coming. I wouldn`t have made you wait." he spoke, in the lightest tone he could.

Their both heads turned to him as he spoke. They had their wands out - obvious the way how they made the house elf let them in. The shorter one elbowed the taller and grinned disgustingly. "Edward." he nearly hissed. "And here we thought that you ran away."

Just to prove them that he wasn`t scared of them, he walked into the middle of the room, close to them. "Why should I? I have no reason to try to run away from you." he said, still making his voice sound light.

Now it was the taller one that stepped up. He got a bit closer to him. This one wasn`t grinning, but his eyes were actually burning with anger. "Who makes their guests wait?" he snarled, his fingers tightening about the wand. "You know what we are here for, Edward. We are sick of you avoiding to pay. We risked our wellbeing for this and if Aurors would catch us, we`d be put in Azkaban for it." he kept on hissing, the smaller one nodding his head al the time.

Edward watched him, seeing as he tensed up. Obviously he wasn`t the only one trying to calm his anger down. Too bad that they didn`t actually need it that much as he. "I`ve told you that I will pay. I keep my word." he said, much colder than he wanted to.

The taller one took one more step closer to him and now could reach him if he stretched hi arm. The shorter one did the same. "But as we waited for so long... the rules had changed." he answered with a smug in his voice. "You will pay us double that you`ve had to." he snarled. The short one nodded. "To both of us." he added.

This was... not what he expected. Not what he needed. He had money, but... that much that fast? This was a huge problem. Besides, he didn`t agree with it. He wasn`t going to agree with it. "Agreement is agreement, you can`t change the conditions." Edward said, not even trying to hide the anger anymore. He was about to reach for his wand, but the look of the short one made his hand stop in the midway.

"We didn`t talk about any of this. And as a result - I`m not going to pay you that money. This job isn`t even worth the price I was going to pay. Now get the hell out of my house, you`ll get your money that we had talked about." he growled out.

The tall guy laughed to himself. "Oh Edward, Edward... you could always make me laugh." he said. And then the next moment his wand shot up and was stabbed at his neck. "You act as if you have a choice." he hissed now, grinning his wand painfully. "You will pay us as much as we ask you, or we will kill you and just take what we need." he kept on hissing.

All what Edward did was to clench his jaw. If not thinking about Juliana being in the room, he probably would have tried to take his wand out, because he couldn`t stand these two tramps acting as if they were in control. Even if in this situation, they were.

Juls ended up at the bottom of the stairs, and she nearly startled when she saw the wide, frightened eyes of the house elf. She carefully put a finger to her lips, shushing him, and pointed at the door to the left. At his shaking nod, she turned to it.

Luckily, it hadn't been shut all the way, and she crept over to the door, pressing her fingers against the wall to steady herself. It wouldn't be a good idea to slam the door, or make any noise possible. What she saw made her eyes burn brightly, but she didn't move.

They were talking about killing him, which was precicely what Juls had been worried about upstairs. She wanted to give him the chance to fix it, because it was quite obvious he would be beyond angry with her. And quite bluntly, she'd had enough of people being mad at her.

If they did start something though, she knew what she could do. She sorted through several things - full moon was in a few days, she could pretend to offer them what Edward got at an undisclosed location that night and take care of the problem (issue with that was...she wasn't like that. She wasn't a killer), she could simply blast them into the wall, because they weren't expecting it...

She just didn't want him to get hurt, and she pressed her fingers to her lips to stifle her impulsive cry when the man put his wand to Edward's throat. No sound escaped.

Edward kept his jaw clenched tightly. He was thinking about the possibilities left to him. He could try to take out his wand and fight them back. Of course, he`d probably get killed while even trying - these two didn`t care much about who to kill.

And if not Julianna left in the room, he wouldn`t care that much. But that moment he could feel his heart beating angrily against his chest. He wouldn`t leave her to them. Maybe she could escape - bit he didn`t even think about risking her.

Taking a deep breath he tried to ignore the fact that the wand was grinning against his neck painfully. "Is this violence is really needed?" he snarled angrily at them. The only thing to do now was talk, so that he would have more time to think.

"Oh yes it is." The taller Death Eater answered in the same fashion. "You see, we don`t like being messed around with. And so long you`ve been avoiding to pay us. This will teach you not to play." he snarled.

The short one looked around, then walked to the bar and grabbing a bottle of Firewhisky took a gulp. Then kept on watching Edward, his wand pointed at him just in case.

Edward growled angrily. He wanted to say so much, but that might only put him in a bigger trouble. "You`re not going to get the money you`re asking for." he said firmly, glaring at the one who was holding the wand against his throat. "Don`t even think about it."

"Fine" He growled out, narrowing his eyes. "Maybe this will make you change your mind." he hissed, angry flames burnign in his eyes. "Crucio!" he hissed.

If Edward wouldn`t have known what was about to come, it would have been worse. But he knew how these guys were dealing with people. First threats, then curses and if that didn`t work - well... Avada usually made all the problems disappear. Wincing from pain he grabbed himself on the table nearby, in order not to fall down. He bent his head down and tightly closed his eyes. The last thing he wanted was to show weakness. And yet, there was clear pain in his face.

The second the tall one actually used his wand, Juls was in action. The door was slammed open, her wand was pointed at first the one crucio'ing hissing a strong sectrumsempra at him, and then turning to set the firewhiskey in the other man's hand on fire. Honestly, a fire spell with alcohol wasn't good for whoever was holding said alcohol, because if enough was in the cup it would explode. Just enough to hurt him, and not the study, she hoped.

Eitherway, she wanted them to realize they weren't the ones in charge. Cooly, she lowered her wand (it was a act, it would be up in two seconds should she need it again) and said, "Mr. Grant will pay you your dues once you have deserved them. Azkaban could be a lovely place for you right now, but you might not be kindly taken in for the deatheaters have taken over it and you helped...with none of it. So unless you would like for me to kindly escort you there myself, you are to apologize and leave, right now."

Her tone was sharp, and it left no room for discussion as she turned her gaze to one, and then the other.

Hearing the loud bang as the door was opened the tall one looked at the door, and since he turned, the Sectusempra missed him. Yet, in the process he pulled his wand away from Edward, stopping the curse accidently.

The short one didn`t react so quickly though. But when the glass blew up in his hand, he noticed. As well as he noticed the fact that his hand was on fire. Cursing loudly, he shook his left hand which was on fire, pointing the wand at the woman. "Crucio!" he hissed angrily, trying to shake the fire off.

As Edward heard the bang he realized quickly what happened. After all, he knew that they weren`t the only ones in the house. When the curse was stopped he quickly straightened, ignoring the pain which was running down his body still.

The first idea was to curse the taller guy. But that moment his ears caught the curse that the short one whispered. And that could not be ignored. How dare he?! The anger from before rushed through his blood.

Not thinking straight he pointed his wand at the Death Eater on fire. "Avada Kedavra!" he snarled. The green light struck from his wand, hitting the short guy immediately. Another second he was lying on the ground, his hand still lightly burning.

To be exact, Edward was too angry even to say a word. He didn`t think. He couldn`t think. This went just way too far. He risked her. Quickly stabbing his own wand at the other Death Eater`s neck he only growled, trying not to kill him too. A silent voice in his mind reminded him that that was a bad choice. But sooner or later it was going to happen. He couldn`t control that anger.

Juls saw that the one she really did want to hit got missed, and she frowned, walking into the room. The spell towards the other was only to distract him, not to let him hurt anyone else for the moment. Honestly, who'd think about spelling someone when your flesh was burning?! It was ridiculous.

Yet, she'd barely bent over, crumpled from the pain when it was ended, and as she straightened up, gasping slightly, she saw he was dead. Before he started a fire on the whole house, Juls pointed her wand at him and shakily banished him away. No body, no proof. He'd just killed a man for her.

Because she'd never experienced a crucio - James preferred other spells - she was trembling as she headed over to where it looked like they would have another death very soon.

"Don't kill him." She said, trying to comprehend something, "Has he done what you needed him to do?"

When she reached the pain, she just slid her fingers into the crook of his raised arm, putting light pressure on it. "Just obliverate him and sent him away. Don't kill him."

Edward was actually shaking with anger. He was pissed off at this guy. Acting as if he could do anything... it never worked this way with him. And yet he didn`t say the killing curse - he knew it wasn`t the answer that moment.

Yet he absolutely ignored Julianna as she told him something. She didn`t listen to him. That was enough to make him angry at her as well. She went straight into the danger zone. And now, because of him she had to feel the Cruciatus curse.

As she touched him, he didn`t even turned to look at her. "Get the hell off me." he snarled at her. All what he needed was her that moment. Acting as if he needed her. She probably had no idea what she just done, had she?

Then he glared at the guy. "I`ll pay you for your job. Now, since you won`t have to share, you should be pleased." he said, his voice dead cold. "If you don`t want to end up like him, get out of here. Now." he continued to speak in the same tone. And obviously he didn`t need to repeat twice. The guy ran out the door in a second.

Edward glared coldly at Julianna. Then very slowly let his wand down, his hand trembling a bit. Just because he was trying so hard not to start yelling at her. She didn`t listen to him, she made it more complicated and now there was one person dead.

Though he ignored her, she could tell he wasn't so far gone. He knew what was going on, and then he was snarling at her, and she dropped her hand, unable to stop the flash of hurt that passed through her eyes.

At first she didn't back away. She just stood where she was, looking from the man, to Edward's arm. And then, as soon as the deatheater was gone, he turned to her. She crossed her arms tightly over her chest and held her head high, even though he had his wand pointed at her (until he lowered it), even though he looked like he wanted to kill her.

Obviously he didn't care that she had just possibly helped save his life. She'd waited, like she said she would, until things got dire. People died from crucio's. They died because their hearts spasmed and stopped, but of course he didn't care about that. Already knowing that he was resisting the urge to yell at her, Juls decided to make it easy on him, and her face fell as she turned around, saying thickly, "I don't have to deal with this."

She didn't have to deal with his undeserved anger, that loathing glare. And so she walked. Undeserved anger, she never could get away from her fear of it.

Edward realized that she was hurt. But he couldn`t give a damn. She was the one that ignored him. Ignored his plead not stay away from it. Yes, so what if he was Cruciated? He could have made out from it. He knew he could. But now, because of him she got hurt. Because she didn`t listen to him.

"Of course you don`t have to." he said angrily. His wand was still in his hand and he was gripping it. Trying so hard to calm down. He didn`t want to be angry on her. But he couldn`t help it.

"I`ve told you to stay in the room!" he now almost yelled, seeing as she was walking. He didn`t want her to walk out too. "I didn`t want you to get hurt, for damn`s sake! How can you not understand that?!" he growled and then sweared.

At his didn't have to, Juls paused at the door, her lips pressed together as she turned towards him and corrected, "No! I don't have to deal with you, with you yelling at me! I would gladly deal with those assholes again and again, but I do not deserve your fury!"

It was only a slim, slim part of her that realized that he really did have good intentions, but it was also quite obvious he wasn't used to having someone not follow his orders.

"I'm not some submissive dog you can tell to kennel up and she'll stay." She spat out. "I'm not someone who works for you, that my job is in danger if I don't do what you say. They had you stuck and you know it! Why can't you understand that in order to follow your direction I'd have to go against my gut reactions?! I knew, damnit, that they were going to hurt you, and who knows what the hell would have happened if I would have stayed up there! You would be the one laying flat on the ground, your blood cooling as the men ravaged your house, took everything they wanted, and I'd be up in the room, messing with the idea that if only I hadn't have listened, you'd still be alive!"

She gripped the door frame, and all but growled, "I'm fine."

Hurt? No. She was more hurt that he was yelling at her.

Edward watched Julianna as she kept speaking and speaking. His face was rather cold the whole time. He asked her. Was is really that hard to just sit in the room and play a good girl?

"I would have dealt with them." He repeated, his tone still cold. He knew he would have. He just didn`t know how. That all situation was a mess. Of course it could have ended worse, but dead guys was not what he needed on his nerves that moment.

Listening to her words he kept shaking his head and at last slammed his fist against the wall. "If you had listened, I would be alive. I just wouldn`t be so damn scared! I wouldn`t have freaked out when I saw you on those stairs! And I wouldn`t have risked you!" he said, staring at her. If not anger, he would have never admitted it.

"You would have dealt with them? Oh really? When? After they started telling you what to do, even though you're the boss? After one decided to help himself to your things? After the other started crucio'ing you? When exactly were you going to deal with it, Edward?"

Why did they always have such a great time, and then it all go south? Why did he get angry at her so much?

Juls flinched visibly, nearly cowering as he punched the wall, and her grip on the door turning her fingers white. His anger was going to be a problem.

"You don't know that." She answered fiercely. "You don't know that you'd been able to stop them from whatever they were planning on doing. At that point? They wouldn't have been able to be satisfied with getting the money, they're men at the most primitive point, they wanted a fight, damnit, how can you not see that?"

Risking her. What bullshit was that. "Do you think I can't handle it?"

Now, her voice was soft. Now, her grip slid from the door, and she looked at him, not angry, just...tired. She was tired. "You don't know me well enough yet to realize hurt is not a new world."

Edward shook his head angrily. "You don`t quite get it, do you?" he asked slowly, watching her. Obviously, she didn`t. Maybe his morals about some things were messed up, but he always used to stick to what looked right to him. This was no excuse.

"So fine, maybe I wouldn`t have been able to fight them back." he spoke, his voice pretty dead, but his eyes looking straight at her. If not the previous accident, not all the anger he kept trying to push away, he would never, ever say that aloud.

"Maybe I would end up dead. So what?! I don`t give a shit about that." he kept speaking. Finally taking few steps forwards he shook his head again. "This is not your fight. And I`ve pulled you into it. That makes me responsible." he spoke slowly.

"And yes, I know you`ve been hurt a lot of times. You`ve told me." he reminded, now his tone much calmer. "But that doesn`t mean that I will let you get in fights and get hurt. I don`t want that. Don`t need that."

"You didn't pull me into, I walked down the stairs and into the room myself..." Juls attempted, jaw clenching as she looked at him and said, "Oh, so that would have been, great to know you, I'm dead now, bye!"

And he wouldn't care. He wouldn't give a shit? "Yeah, really, no doubt, because you wouldn't be able to give a shit, you'd be dead!"

Juls rolled her eyes at him, a dry, unhappy smile entering the mix, "Oh, now we're being all valient? It doesn't matter who's responsible for what. Do you think I care about that? I'm responsible for myself. I came downstairs. The guys are gone, the end. Can't we just get past it?"

It was amusing to her, in a very black humored way, that he could be so unrelenting and pissed off at her coming down and getting hurt that he didn't care that she was worried about him getting hurt and that was the whole reason she came down. Hypocrite.

"Let me." Juls just repeated flatly, shaking her head.

Edward had to actually clench his fists for a few seconds, to calm down. She was now acting as if she knew him. Amazing... she probably didn`t even know what his last name was. "You don`t even try to listen to what I say." he sighed.

And so, he gave up. He had just said some things that he would never let anyone else know, and she obviously didn`t care. It was enough for him to prove him that he didn`t need to deal with that.

"Fine. Think what ever you want to think." he said, looking around and then glancing back at her. "Because obviously... it doesn`t matter much." he stood there for a couple of moments and then turned around.

Silently he walked to sit on the couch, which was facing the other way. Maybe it would be for the best if she left. And didn`t come back.

"No, I know exactly what you are saying. That I should have stayed upstairs like you told me to. That its not my responsibility to care of you get hurt or not. That you would have or would not have been able to deal with it, but either way its not my problem. That I wouldn't have gotten hurt - but damnit, look at me, I'm fine! - if I had just listened. That you don't want me in fights because you don't 'need' that. I hear you, Edward."

Sick and tired of this, Juls sighed.

"I will think whatever I want to think. That's human nature. We comprehend things differently. But I hear what you're saying, and if I didn't care, if it didn't matter, I wouldn't be arguing with you. I would have already been gone."

She watched as he walked away, his back turned to her, and she fumed, "Oh stop being so childish!"

As Julianna kept speaking Edward only ran his fingers through his hair, putting his elbows on his knees. Every time he realized that he cared for her, they were fighting. Yes, he didn`t want her to get hurt - that was what she was now yelling about. Obviously, it`s a bad thing to do.

"Childish?" Edward repeated, picking up his head and staring at the fireplace. "Yes, because that`s one thing that I`m full off." he said, rolling his eyes. It slightly amazed him that she began acting as if she knew him. He wouldn`t even let his wife treat him that way.

He sighed and turned at her for a sec. "Look, Julianna I`ve said what I wanted to say. So now, you can just stop mumbling and deal with it, okay? I`m old enough to know that I believe in myself and I don`t need someone to try to prove me wrong."

"You always walk away from me instead of finishing something? Am I supposed to take your sitting with your back turned towards me as a dismissal? This is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. But fine. If you want to just end the conversation unfinished by walking away, fine."

Juls shook her head at him disappointedly, "It always gets ruined. Always."

Old dogs can't learn new tricks, eh? Well. That was a damn shame. Nobody got what they wanted all the time.

"I'll deal with it on my own time, then. Maybe you need to learn to be more flexible." Juls finally answered, looking at the ceiling as she took a deep breath, and shaking her head, turned.

"Goodbye, Edward."

As she left, she mouthed an apology to the house elf.
