"Right...morning is good," Lynx said, unable to prevent herself from yawning.

"I think for now...sleep would be good too," she admitted. As much as she wanted to keep working, she was tired. It had been a long day, and she did need to rest if she was going to get anything done on the case.

"A very good idea." Tyler said with another small smile, and he kissed the top of her forehead as she yawned. Standing slowly so that he could still let her lean against him, he removed his wand from his pocket to quickly send the reports off to their place in the headquarters. He started following a second later.

Lynx headed downstairs with Tyler, glad to be out of the cold weather. Once back in their room, both fell asleep quickly.

it's a rubin thing
Anna had finally come to the HQ to get some stuff for her short time that she was going to be spending elsewhere. She'd mostly just stuffed sketchbooks and utensils and a few articles of clothing into her new bag. She was holding Angel as she decided to take a walk up to the roof to see out over the expanse of land.

"Beautiful." She breathed out, pulling Angels blanket over her tightly, she didn't want the slumbering child to catch a sickness.

Surprised to find Anna up there, Tyler tucked his little journal back into his pocket, and grinned to himself, before removing the camera that had sort of become his best friend lately, and snatching a picture of her. Smiling slightly at the results, he appeared around the corner of the chimney, and waved.

"I know I'd missed a lot...but I do believe you're holding out on me cous'. Who's this?" He smiled at the baby she was holding.

Anna turned to a light and realized that it was Tyler. Had it been anyone else she'd have freaked, she hated having her picture taken. The end. She wasn't the most photogenic person, but that wasn't the problem, she just didn't like being captured. But it was in fact Tyler, the best cousin in the world. She grinned at his question and then answered him,

"This is my goddaughter, Angel. Now, what've I been missing with you?" She asked.

Smiling, Tyler shrugged, and patted beside him if she wanted to sit down with Angel.

"Well, at the moment, this. I've been writing a ton...you know, this is like, the third novel I've ever written, and I've never wanted to publish any of them. But I assume you want me to send this one when I'm done editing?"

Anna's face stretched into a grin as she sat down beside Tyler with Angel and she nodded.

"Yes of course. Do you... remember that summer before you went to Hogwarts, when we wrote that chapter book together? I think Grams still has the rough draft... I wanted to reread it, I can only vaguely remember it."

She was looking towards the horizon instead of focusing on anything in particular.

Smiling and laughing at the memory, Tyler nodded,

"Oh I'm sure she does. What were we even writing about? I'm pretty sure a lot of magic was involved...but we didn't even understand what magic really was...wasn't there a rabbit out of a hat?"

He laughed fondly at the memory.

She laughed and Angel woke to gurgle at the sound, the night wasn't quite silent as solemn.

"Yes! And long black capes, suits, top hats... The girls with fabulous dresses. We had too much imagination put together, on our little treasure hunts and visits with pixies and doxies. Or was that only in my dreams? Hmm... I miss how simple it was then. Now you're all married and stuff, Merlin, I'm so happy for you."

Ana nudged him, laughing at her rambles.

Chuckling as well, Tyler nodded saying,

"It did get quite complicated. Hey, here's a question...when did we become the adults?"

He ran a hand through his hair without really noticing it, and looked down to realized he'd dangled a participle. Fixing it, he added,

"I mean...seriously...it's like...turn around one day, and wham.."

Anna nodded her head to what he was saying - because he had a good point. There was no denying that one day she had in fact, turned around and realized that everything was different.

"The day we each graduated from Hogwarts - or to be more specific - the day we chose to be aurors. Well, yeah, I'm probably not going to be one much longer anyways."

She looked at him, searching his face for clues as to what exactly he was thinking.

In shock, Tyler ran a hand through his hair without thinking about it.

"Why ever not?" He forgot the question about them being adults- there was time for that later.

"Well because I haven't been the greatest of aurors as of late, I'm currently caring for house mates' childs and she's missing, my other housemate was imperioused and is now merlin knows where, and Ella's destroyed Angels nursery. I couldn't bring myself to stay, and I don't know where to go."

She shrugged, not seeing before now that she had needed to just say what was happening, she didn't want him to dwell on it though, so she tried to change the subject.

"So how is married life treating you?"

And here he was, not even knowing she'd moved out of the headquarters. He was being a rotten cousin, wasn't he? With a scandalized gasp, he said,

"All right, so I'll help you out with anything you need. I'll cover for you. I wouldn't let Lynx fire you, and I'm not letting you resign either." He said the last with a stern, but kind smile.

Ruffling Angel's hair slightly he said with a smile,

"That's more like it. It's a Rubin thing, right?"

"No, no, no. I cannot use your marriage to Lynx to secure my job here, Tyler, you know I couldn't. And I still have my room here... sort of... I just haven't put it to use in a month. I've been offered places to stay anyway."

Not like she'd say yes to any offers, she just didn't want him to worry about her at all. If no one ever did offer, she'd either just live back here or with Mia. Which would prove extremely strange, but fine in all. She grinned, raking back her own unruly hair.

"Of course."

Frowning slightly, Tyler said simply, "It wouldn't be using my marriage to her, I'd just talk to her. There's a bit of a difference..er...I think. And I miss you- where have you been then?"

He knew Lynx was on a rampage about work ethic, but Anna was one of the best Auror's they had, even if it didn't show as of quite late. And he wasn't letting her lose her job for helping out friends. He smiled slightly again and added,

"Well, you could always live with Mia. That'd be entertaining..cards all the time. And married life hasn't been quite so different than it was before we got married- just more loving. So just about perfectly."

"Oh finally you take the liberty of answering my question instead of worrying about my silly homing situation. Plus, talking to Lynx would have to be my job, not yours, and if I have to, I won't fight her decision."

Anna bit her lip and then took a shot at tackling his other questions.

"Yes, cards all the time, ridiculously much. Although explaining why I had Angel with me would be a trip. As for where I've been; I've been around Diagon, the Ice Cream Parlor, the Tea Shop... places."

"Silly little homing situation? From all the places you just named, you've been living in the stores." He laughed goodnaturedly, and ruffled his own hair this time.

"And oh fine. You know, you can be very stubborn sometimes." He stuck out his tongue playfully, knowing he was being a hypocrite.

((500!!*dances*))

"Oh yea Tyler, I am the one being stubborn. And no, I've not only been in the stores, I've been by Garretts..."

She stopped, well that was weird to mention, and then leaning back slightly so that her face was parallel to the stars in the sky. "Quite a comfortable chair actually." She muttered.
